Everyone makes mistakes, but mine might lose me the best thing that ever happened to me.

I have gone and completely fallen in love with this series. Really, everything I said about the previous book, stands for this one as well: it kept me guessing and it kept me laughing. And that may have been the secret to why it kept me guessing. I was so distracted by the wacky shenanigans Bowie got herself involved in that I was unable to hang on to the main thread of the mystery. But that’s okay because it kept me thoroughly entertained and I kind of hate that the book’s over already. Especially since there were so many interesting revelations in the ending.
This is the first book that I have read in this series, and I enjoyed it very much. It kept my attention from the very beginning. This is a fabulous author. Her descriptions of the scenery made me wish I was there. The characters are wonderful!

The town of Starry Falls, VT is all decked out for Christmas. Bowie, aka Stella Santini, is at the annual tree lighting selling hot cocoa with a kick and her Italian family recipe Christmas cookies. Her sister, Stephanie, known as Lola in the town, is helping. Bowie has one of her visions and sees someone tangled up in Christmas lights. Unfortunately, they've been murdered. Bowie and Lola, along with friend Tilly, try to solve the murder. Somehow Lola and Tilly hook up with two mobsters from Leeds. That worries Bowie as she's been running from the NJ mob. The best thing in her life is her relationship with Shep who knows the truth about her past. But, Bowie has a vision about Shep that looks like he's been stringing her along. Bowie's visions aren't always what she thinks as they're only a partial vision so often she misinterprets their true meaning. She's going to have some trouble figuring this one out. Meanwhile, she's trying to get Stephanie/Lola away from the two mobsters. Stephanie will not listen to her. Bowie's really worried about the two guys and maybe, just maybe, she should be.
A Candy Cane Cat-astrophe is the fifth book in the Meow for Murder series. Although this is part of a the Meow for Murders series it can be read as a standalone with out the feeling of being lost in the storyline. Bowie is on the run from her past when her car breaks down on the edge of Starry Falls. Forced to stop until she gets repairs done on her car. She has now been in Starry Falls for a while, she has a job she enjoys,a place to live and now has made friends with some of the locals. Bowie is also more worried that she will be found by the feds or the mob since her sister has found her and is staying with her. Christmas is just around the corner and she is looking forward to the holidays with her new ‘family’. Waiting for the holiday festivities to begin while waiting for the tree to be lit, once the count begins but nothing. Walking around to the back Shep and Bowie discover the last thing they expected on what was supposed to be a magical night, another body. Will they be able to solve the mystery of who did it before Christmas or will the New Years sneak in without a clue?
Bowie is at the tree lighting for the manor. She is still going strong with Shep. Bowie has a vision while with Shep, she believes something bad is going to happen. They light up the tree and that is when Bowie and Shep find the body. Bowie realizes it is Holly, the woman that had issues with several people. Shep takes over the scene. Bowie decides she is going to investigate the crime. Bowie finds out this woman was not liked. Bowie also has other issues with her sister and the company she will keep. Bowie tries her hardest to so she will see the problem. Things will ramp up with the murder investigation, Shep and so much more.
This was a really fun and entertaining read. There is something for everyone in here. I recommend reading this book, you will enjoy.

There is a murder at the tree lighting. Someone is strangled and it is up to Bizzy her sister and of course who can forget about Tilly to try and figure it all out. Of course, Shep would like it much more if they would just leave it all alone and let him and Nora and the Sheriff's department solve the murder but that is just not how Bizzy is. There are lots of twists and turns in this great new addition to the series. So, much going on including the addition of two new characters that could spell trouble for Bizzy.... We will have to hold out until the next book to find out just what they are up to, other than no good.
This is a stand-alone read but I really do suggest you read this series from the start.

Christmas is coming, but it’s bringing murder along with it. Plus, the mob is moving in to the next town and Stephanie/Lola and Tilly are hot for the Italian studs, regardless of the risk to Bowie. Bowie learns from residence ghost, Hazel, that she has more powers that she can share. That was pretty cool. Hazel can even do some new things! I had a lot of fun reading this book. Only complaint is how man hungry Tilly, Steph, and Jessie are. Are there women really like that out there? Not everything has to be about that, does it? Guess I’m showing my age here! But the book really was good and I’ll be reading the rest of the series.

It's Christmas time in Starry Falls and Bowie is preparing for the tree lighting ceremony at the manor. Just before, Bowie has a vision that things are about to go wrong. Once the lights come on, She and everyone discover the reason for her bad feelings. Now she and company have a new murder mystery to solve. Throughout the story some truths with be revealed, some secrets will be shared, some romances will get stronger and, of course, there will be mysteries to solve. I love Bowie Binx and her motley crew of friends. I have enjoyed every book in this series and can't wait to see where this fantastic writing partnership will take us next. Well done to the authors.
I Freaking love Bowie Binx and the rest of the Starry Falls crew! It's Stella aka Bowie's first Christmas after Wanda her Honda left her broken down in Starry Falls. With a budding new relationship, a new job, new friends, new identity, all while on the run from the feds and the mob, what could go wrong? Perhaps a little snafu of murder to taint he holiday cheer. I can't help but to completely lose track of time when I'm engraved in these laugh out loud cozy mysteries while trying to figure out who done the deed this time. Each Meow for Murder can be read as a stand alone but to get the total effect go back to book one, you won't regret it!
This cozy mystery is so fun... with Bowie and Shep, Tilly, Opal, Regina, Stephanie(Lola) and all the cats at the Manor. This season is strife with the murder of the mayors ex wife... and Bowie is on the case!!
I absolutely loved the ending ... loved that Bowie was finally able to tell Shep her secret and to tell him she loved him.... that was so sweet!!
I can't wait to see what happens in Starry Falls next!!
Cats and ghosts at the manor, dead body by the tree, cops, the mob, psychic visions and more. What more could you ask for? Bowie and her group are solving another murder and secrets and surprises are flying. The locale is great and the backstories are fun. The banter keeps it light and fun while the suspense keeps you glued to the pages. A wonderfully terrific book to take a mini vacation into. Now on to read more from this awesome series.

Bowie Binx has another murder to solve. Just when things seem to be going in the right direction for Bowie and the holiday season is upon Starry Falls, her unreliable visions are more frustrating. Think more visions of chaos and less "visions of sugarplums". Bowie wants to solve a murder so she can spend the holidays with friends, her sister, and Shep. Can Bowie catch the killer before she becomes another victim? It will take help from her friends, and help from the other side, the spectral side, to pull this one off!
I absolutely love this series. There's a new surprise in every book. This one has a couple of surprises. One of them had my jaw dropping. I did not see that coming. The mystery of who the killer was, was so intriguing, and kept me guessing until the end. What a page turner. I really liked the attention to detail when it came to describing the scenes. It gave me that Christmas feel in the middle of September. I really love how the author pulls you in and makes you feel like a part of the family. Looking forward to what's in store for these ladies, and Shep, in the next book.
What does a Christmas tree and Bowie Binx have in common? Murder. Who gets murdered? Someone who everyone loved to hate was what Bowie was finding out. Where do the new guys that Lola gets involved with have to do with it or do they? You need to read the latest book in the series to find out this and more. Plus it is the holidays and things start to heat up for Bowie and Shep. Read to hear the out come.
Christmas festivities turn deadly when Bowie sees a body encased in Christmas lights. To make matters worse, her sister takes a liking to two made men, which could lead to her discovery. I enjoyed this suspenseful mystery written with humor and a twist. I especially liked developments in Bowie’s relationship with Shep.

This is a great series full of fun, love and mystery! There's been another murder in Starry Falls and Bowie Binx is determined to solve it. While that is nothing new, this book has plenty of surprises. Secrets will be revealed! I also absolutely love that our lovely Lottie Lemon and her ghostly crew have been mentioned in this one. I can't wait to read what comes next!
I absolutely love going back to Starry Falls! Candy Cane Cat-astrophy was a blast!! Murderer going loose at Christmas? Not with Bowie Binx and her friends on the case! Addison and Bellamy really had me going with this book! I thought I had the killer pegged, but boy was I wrong. The last couple of chapters blew my mind!! You won't believe the ending to this book!!!
Another murder with so many suspects. The one thing that WA difficult for me is using her sister's real name more than her made up name of Lola. On top of that pretty naive not thinking the 2 gangsters were unaware who she really is. Love the ghost and the expanding of her supernatural gift.
A fun read with a woman in hiding from the mob, the guy who knows almost everything about her and loves her just the same, a murder mystery and a bunch of quirky suspects, and so much more in this enchanting story
Love stories around Christmas! Entertaining and witty whodunnit. Great characters and story that keeps you hooked until the last page! Real page turner. Good whodunnit!

At the annual tree lighting in the town square, a dead body is spotted, strangled by a string of lights. There are several people who would want her dead. The ghost of "witch Hazel" from the last book is still around.
Stella/Bowie and Stephanie/Lola are certainly a handful, and now with the addition of two young men of the “Family” variety into the Starry Falls stew of characters is making the Santini sisters’ future iffy.
