This World of Corpses

Rate this book
The absolute best you can hope for is survival in this world of corpses …

Joni has to lead an army of guards into battle to prevent the cult of Louis gaining total dominance of the block and the prison. But she has a secret, and revealing it could quash her new army’s motivation to fight. Does she tell them and risk losing allies who’ll help her take down the cult? Or does she keep her secret to herself, at least until the cult is vanquished? Even if it’ll make her own army turn on her when she finally reveals her deceit.

Hawk will follow Aggie into hell, which is where they are right now. Fleeing certain death, they’ve run to the tower blocks of their oppressors. Trapped with their enemies and the diseased, they are most-certainly not welcome. But this is about as safe as it gets for them right now. One way or another they need to make this place their home.

Olga and her group are away from immediate danger. For now. All save for William. To help him is to risk all their lives. But they’ve lost too many already. Can they let another friend perish?

Can Joni hold onto her lie long enough to end the cult?

Will Hawk and his friends survive in their oppressor’s home?

Will Olga and her group reach William before it’s too late?

Or will they all end up as a more bodies in this world of corpses?

Summary:
As the danger increases, are still broken into two groups. Joni and friends have their eyes of Hawk and friends while being afraid to contact them because it would let the cultist know everyone’s location. Joni is determined to lead her friends against then cultist, but can she trust the guards who are now with them.

Hawk, Aggie and friends find themselves between the cultists and the diseased with no knowledge that their friends are trying to help them.

Olga and Matilda are determined to save William and Hawk, but the danger they face could be fatal.

This was a wild ride from start to end and it isn’t over yet! The interpersonal relationships and willingness to protect and save each other takes this series to the next level. This is an incredible series and shouldn’t be missed who enjoy post- Apocalyptic series.

Book 15 in this post apocalyptic survival thriller is riveting and gruesome, but most of all it depicts so well the strong will to live at all costs by the survivors. In this book many of our characters are split up in different groups and different places, but all are surrounded by the diseased, many of whom were newly turned guards now, as well as by enemies. Joni, Antonia, Ralph, Matt and many of the previous guards of Louis' prison are fighting against the cult now being run by Andy, a sadistic pervert almost worse than Louis had been. William is off on his own trying to escape the hordes cramming through all the blocks and corridors. Olga and Mathilda's are trying to take back some of the blocks by clearing them from the diseased whilst keeping eyes on the guards and trying to join back up with William as well as Hawk and his new group of friends amongst whom is Aggie, his girlfriend. This book is a relentless battle mostly going nowhere, just trying to survive another day. Joni is fighting tooth and claw to keep Antonia, her daughter safe and goes out to prove she is a good mother, she is a real hero. The groups have vipers within them who are ready to betray them and the losses of some of our characters are very sad, but the survivors refuse to be broken now that they are fighting not just for themselves but for a future generation. Onward to book sixteen and maybe an ending to this survival series before all our characters die off!

The 15th book in the Beyond These Walls series takes a different tack in its delivery. Mr. Robinson puts his foot on the action pedal and doesn’t let up until the final page. He tells the story from two distinct points of view which provide insights into characters who have been there since book one as well as some who have joined the series along the way. Of all the books in this series this is my absolute favorite. Along with keeping me on the edge of my chair, there were several places where I felt my eyes getting a bit misty, and there were some where I found myself pumping my arm as is said YES. I’m not sure what to expect from book 16, but what I do know is that it’s a book l am looking forward to reading.

This was another action-packed instalment of a world teeming with diseased humans whose only goal is to spread the virus by eating others.

The cast of characters makes this a great read, however, Joni is my favourite because she combats numerous psychological problems due to her past horrific treatment.

There are enemies on many fronts, not just the diseased, and part of me thinks that certain individuals are worse than those who are infected.

A great sense of place adds to the horror and I like the way the main characters develop and realise their strengths, weaknesses and problems.

Overall, an excellent story and I wonder where it's heading. And will justice be served?

Recommended.

Truly amazing story fast paced and unstoppable action. Joni and her daughter are leading some of the former guards against the cult lead by a sadistic Andy. While Matilda, Olga, Nick and Artan try and stop William stumbling into a group of diseased. The final storyline involves Hawk and the survivors of the vampire camp as they fight to clear the towers of the diseased.
With multiple storylines there's a cliffhanger at the end of nearly every chapter. As love the way each new book moves seamlessly from the previous one. Definitely recommend

Mr. Robinson continues to keep me on the edge of my seat, wondering, yet fearing, what lies ahead for our young friends. Each episode dives deeply into their personalities, challenging their strengths and exposing their weaknesses. How can they hope to survive each new obstacle? Will they succumb to the pressure? Even after this, the fifteenth book in the saga, I’m still looking forward to the next one!

Write Faster

I have read this series from book 1. In the beginning it was easy to binge read one after another as I had the set, but with each newer book, I have to pre order and wait for its release date, and they just aren't written quick enough for my next fix. Absolutely fantastic books. Can't wait for the next.

Book 15, and an excellent read, the story line is expanding to bring in more characters as well, and eventually the main characters seem to be actually growing up and having so many petty childish tantrums, great reading.

3 1/2 stars 🌟 The last two or three books in this series got a little tedious. There is a 16th book . I think I will pass on it. Overall, it was a very good series, just too long.

TWoC, book 15 of the series Beyond These Walls, continues the saga of some of my favorite characters. There is much drama, tension and battles contained in its pages and I highly recommend the entire series.
