My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.
Santiago’s brother just gifted him a hooker for his 40th birthday. Except Cadence isn’t a hooker she’s just a date for hire. Desperately in need of money for her student loans and to start her business she accepts a job offer from a patient at her daytime job at a doctors office. Turns out when you are paid $10,000 it’s expected that you are going to be more than just arm candy for an old man, especially if you’re evening bag is full of lube, strips of condoms and throat numbing cough drops. Santiago is mad his brother sent the beautiful woman and is curt and rude to her and tells her to leave. She tries to explain but he doesn’t care, as she’s leaving she trips over his rug and ends up hitting her head on a bookcase. Worried about his image and being sued he calls his private doctor to meet him at his house to check her out. Doctor says she needs to rest, the next morning Cadence can barely walk on her twisted ankle and is ready to leave and go home. Meanwhile Santiago has decided he wants her and knows she’s not a hooker, because she told him she’s not. He’s turned on by her and he’s going to make her his. But their dynamic was very weird,I didn’t feel the connection at all. There was no chemistry, they each find the other attractive but it doesn’t feel like more than that. They have sex and boom they are a couple. Epilogue one year later with Cadence using the throat numbing cough drops to give the best blowjob to her husband and two and a half years later with a daughter and her pregnant again.

The grumpiest men fall the hardest when they find their soulmate, and it’s the best kind of story to read! I loved that Santiago wanted nothing to do with her at first, but the second she got hurt he went into protective mode. It was also so entertaining seeing him discover how much he loved when she gave him attitude. Man he ate that up! They were adorable together, and it was so sweet that they found each other on accident but decided to keep one another.
This was such a great read, and I FLEW through it in one sitting! As always we got the classic Tory Baker steamy romance, along with an amazing grumpy billionaire who became a big teddy bear for Cadence. If there was one thing he was going to do, it was protect what was his and Cadence was his after that one crazy night. Ughhh I loved this book!

Great chemistry and characters, although really, for Cadence to not know the extent of this escort service is a little far fetched. Santiago was great and the chemistry between them was terrific. Quick and fun read from a great author.

Wonderful!! This was a nice quick, short read. I absolutely love it.
Santiago and Cadence met in his office, she is there as a date for hire. Santiago's brother hired Cadence for his brother. Cadence is desperate to make some money so that she can quit her job she's working at so that she can start her own business. She caught her boss and another employee getting together in the closet and not they want her to go out to dinner with them. Santiago always works late and doesn't get out much, his birthday is in a few days and he'll be forty. When Cadence finds Santiago in his office his brother calls him, but Santiago asks his brother if he hired a hooker. His brother tells him she not a hooker but a high-class escort. Cadence can't believe what she is hearing this isn't what she was hired to do. She tells Santiago that isn't what she was hired to do, he tells her it's none of his business, and asks her to leave. When Cadence turns to leave her ankle catches on the rug and she goes down hitting her head. Santiago rushes to help her but he's to late. When he tries to talk to her she doesn't answer him, then he calls his brother to ask him her name. His brother doesn't know so he tells him he needs to call an ambulance, but she hears him and tells him not she can't afford that. He tries to get her to talk but her sentences are broken up. So he calls his doctor he has on call. They decide to take her to his home where it'll be more private. Cadence wakes up the next morning, she heads into the bathroom to freshen up then tries to go out the door, but Santiago hears her and his by her side. He carries her to his couch and wants her to tell him how she ended up being an escort. Cadence tells him what happened at work and how she wants to start her own business. Cadence is embarrassed about what happened and Santiago wants to know all the names of the people involved. Cadence tells Santiago she thought she was being hired for only a date. Santiago tells her he's glad she was sent to him and not someone else. He tells her he needs to make a few phone calls while she eats. Santiago offers Cadence some money to start her business but she tells him she's not taking it. Santiago kisses her, he wants her to know how he feels about her. Cadence takes a shower but Santiago stands right outside the door, when she pinches herself he rushes in to see if she's alright. The sight of her naked he tells her she's beautiful. He begins to pleasures her, then carries her to his bed. He asks her if she wants him to stop but she tells him no. Then they make love, then take nap. Cadence asks him if this is moving to fast, he tells her it's not, this between them is happening. When Cadence falls asleep Santiago leaves her to call a few people, first he calls his brother and tells him what's going on. Then he calls dates for hire and talk to the owner, Cadence wakes up and when he's put on hold he tells her what's going on. They offer Cadence a large sum of money to keep quiet after she signs an NDA. With the money Cadence tells him she's going to quiet her job at the medical office, and start that business. Santiago asks her to go out to dinner with him, but she doesn't want to go out she asks if they can order in instead. They head to her apartment and gather some of her things to take back to Santiago's. On Christmas Eve Santiago gives Cadence a gift, it's a property he purchased for her business. Cadence can't believe the gift he gives her, he tells her she stole his heart and wants to use his money on her. She tells him he stole her heart, body, soul, her everything. She tells him she doesn't have anything to give him, he tells her she does, he wants to unwrap her under the Christmas tree. One year later, they are married, and pregnant. Tt's hard to get Santiago anything for Christmas when he has everything. She tells him she loves him and he tells her he loves her. Two and a half years later, Cadence is expecting their second baby. Their daughter, Stella, is content while Cadence runs around straightening everything, all their family is coming over for a barbecue. Santiago was once a man who thought work and money was all he needed, was he wrong. There something more precious than being the man he was, he's surrounded by two women who remind him daily.

Little did she know how much her life was about to change, it takes of two seconds for her to realise that he hasn’t booked a date and starts throwing accusations around about her being a hooker. She’s about to leave when her heel gets stuck in his rug and the next thing she knows she is in a strange room with a very grumpy Santiago plus a sprained ankle, and he is offering to help her. Will Santiago be her saviour or downfall?

This book is a part of the Under His Tree series and focuses on Santiago and Cadence. Cadence has been struggling to make ends meet just working at her day job. When she is told about a job as a fill-in date, she eventually decides to go for it once things at her work become uncomfortable for her. Her first job turns out to be something completely different than what she had thought it would be. Santiago is a busy man who is completely focused on work. With his 40th birthday coming up, his brother decides to send him a present that definitely gets his attention. Cadence and Santiago have the most uncomfortable first meeting but it doesn’t take them long at all to look beyond the situation they were placed into and see what they have in front of them now. This was a great story and a great addition to the series!

Candace is trying to earn more money so she can leave her dead end job and start up her own business. She gets a lead on a job that will give her lots of cash quickly, but things aren’t always as they seem. Santiago’s brother is always trying to play pranks or getting himself into trouble and having Santiago clean up his messes. This time he’s gone to far and the present he gives Santiago is all a big understanding that has consequences. Candace’s first impression of Santiago is not a good one but when she finds herself waking up in a strange place after falling and hitting her head, her impression soon changes. Santiago can’t help but feel bad about how he reacted when he first saw Candace. Now he’s doing everything he can to convince her to give him a second chance. A wonderful steamy story with likeable characters. Santiago redeems himself and Candace gets to see her dream come true. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

She gives her a number and tells her to call it as they provide dates for hire. She calls, thinking she is just going to be arm candy for a guy for a few hours. Turns out the job is an escort for hire and she and the gentleman she meets are beside theirselves. Whike he is on the phone qith his brother she falls and hurts herself. Santiago calls a doctor and takes her back to his place to mend. They straighten things out bit find they are attracted to each other. Read along to see what happens and what happens to the person who hired Candace and was misleading. Wonderful characters with a wonderful storyline.

Loved this grumpy billionaire story. All Santiago does is work and when his brother sends him a birthday present in the form of an escort he knows his brother has gone too far. Cadence is looking for better opportunities to make some money so she can start her own business. Getting signed up with what she thinks is an innocent dating site is the beginning. When she meets Santiago she realizes that it is not a dating site but an escort service she is involved in. Can these two come to any kind of understanding. This is a very good story. Fast, interesting and exciting read. Lots of steam too. Once started I could not put it down. Excellent love story!

When Santiago's baby brother sends him a birthday surprise, he gets more than he bargains for when she injures herself in his office. Cadence is given a card and told she can make some serious money with the company on the card. When she accepts a job offer, she is shocked realizing what it really is. If that isn't enough, she trips and falls ending up with a mild concussion and a severe sprang ankle. Santiago is beside himself and wants to really do away with his brother, but he can't help the reaction that he has towards Cadence. Will this turn out to be a great surprise after all and will it end with in a serious relationship? This story drew me in and had me all caught up in their drama!

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is a short love story where things don't get off to a great start for Cadence and Santiago. They are brought together thru a date for hire site and were both caught off guard. There's that initial attraction between them but accusations, misunderstandings and his childish brother cause all kinds of havoc. I liked how Santiago steps up to try to begin again with her before he lost the chance. I wish things would have played out differently with Alejandro because he got off easy in my opinion. Cadence wasn't my favorite fmc, but she grew on me. Overall I liked the story with the drama, family and their undeniable connection

Cadence desperate to get out of her job and start her own business, decided to take a leap and step out of her comfort zone, only realizing that step was going sideways. Santiago prefers to work hard and play later (if at all), especially when he is fixing his brother's messes.
Santiago is instantly drawn to Cadence but pushes the though away when he misjudges her. When the truth is unraveled, so is the heat, passion and chemistry that lights up the pages.
Great read with amazing strong characters and a heat that will have you melting.

However, when she goes to leave, she falls and comes to in a different room alone with Santiago. Santiago knew when he caught her in his arms that he couldn't let her go. Can they find a way to be together?
This is an amazing story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

He wasn’t expecting her but from the first meeting he was struck hard. What happens next was a delicious steamy romance read that didn’t disappoint. I love the delightful heat level and the likable characters with their sweet HEA.

Santiago is a a real estate developer who works to much. The two meet when Santiago's brother sets him up with a woman from "Date For Hire. The place Cadence works at as her second job. The attraction is immediate even if Santiago doesn't like what his brother has done., This is a fast paced read. Very entertaining and funny at times. I enjoyed reading their story and the HEA was great.

I liked this story a lot. It was entertaining and enjoyable even though you could guess what was going to happen. Things didn’t happen exactly how I guessed so that was nice. I would have liked mare about what happened with Alejandro and how badly his mama punished him. Santiago was a workaholic and wasn’t looking for anything else. Cadence had goals and dreams and was working very hard to try to achieve those things. The two met over a misunderstanding but once the air started to clear the attraction between them exploded. Even when they were mad at each other, they still felt the attraction. I loved their happily ever after. I recommend reading this book.

I absolutely love this book! It was a fun and definitely sexy read! Santiago is a grumpy billionaire who only has time for work and nothing else. His brother Alejandro is a jokester, thought it would be funny to send him a "gift". This gift was Cadence. The way the story developed from here is pure perfection! I literally did not want to put it down to go to sleep, so first thing I did was the next morning is ,I opened my kindle and finished reading it! Love love love it! I'll be getting the paperback that's for sure! Congratulations Tory ❤️

3.75 - 4 stars.
This short story took both Santiago and Cadence on a journey and showed different sides to them. A time or two I felt an area needed a little more tweaking, and I wanted a bit more for two characters as I wasn't completely satisfied with the outcome to their part of the story. However, I loved that Cadence didn't cower and she expressed herself clearly, I also loved seeing Santiago's softer side and his protective side coming out. The two epilogues rounded off their story nicely.

In the novella “Unwrapping His Present” Santiago is given the gift of a date from his brother for his 40th birthday. Santiago is a very grumpy man, all about business and staying on task. Cadence needs money to start her jewelry business and for a date with Santiago she was offered $10,000. How will Santiago birthday turn out? Will Cadence get her money and start her jewelry business? This is a very quick read with an alpha male who likes to be in control. There are some sexy moments in this novella. Looking for a quick enjoyable book, this is it.

He made a horrible assumption and this beautiful woman gets hurt. Fortunately, Santiago is used to cleaning up his brother's messes. Only this time, he gets a reward of Cadence in his bed. A whirlwind courtship with a HEA, with bonus Christmas feels.

Mmm, very spicy. I enjoyed Santiago and Cadence. Their story was a quick, fun read. I like how Santiago took care of everything. There were a few parts where the writing didn't make sense and I had to reread something a few times, then figure out what was going on based on paragraphs around it. That took away from the book being really good.

Santiago was the Uber successful dominating businessman. He didn’t have time for his brother’s jokes. Except this particular surprise came in the form of a curvaceous woman that stole his breath and his heart.
Cadence was simply trying to payoff some debts and make a way for her new business adventure. But being a part of what she thought was an exclusive dating service ended with her being the ultimate Christmas gift.

This story was on the shorter side but still complete… even with 2 epilogues … it is an instant love after getting past some misconceptions between a medical receptionist trying start a business and a billionaire who has money but not love… Cadence is sent as a birthday present from his brother under the belief her role is that of a date … brother thinks she is expected to do more… Santiago decides to keep her forever.

This was a steamy forced proximity romance. I really enjoyed the way the story was written and the way the characters were thrown together. The story had some drama but I liked how fairly quickly it was resolved and that it was resolved by communication. Santiago and Cadence had great chemistry and I was thoroughly entertained by their story.
