3.5 stars

There were parts of this book that were so well written. The waterfall climb being one of them. The attention to detail, the false starts, the vivid description. I also loved the author’s knowledge/research of the jungle and the chicken buses. It added authenticity to the storyline.

Then there were times where it glossed over details. One example was when the h was being taken by one of evil characters and was talking about burning lungs etc due to the smoke and while it incapacitated her captor, she was magically fine and was able to run at a fast pace immediately.

This happened a bit. Great detail and then glossing over. Sort of like if it was two writers who wrote this.

Overall it balanced out to a 3.5. I enjoyed it and look forward to reading back and the future stories. Reminds me a tiny bit of the KGI series.

My first book by this author but won't be the last.

There were parts of the book that were a little repetitive but this didn't make much difference. There are some triggers (torture and previous sexual assault) but there is no explicit detail. Hayes is a sweetheart and the perfect gentleman. Loved the jungle scenes!.

I loved this book. Rosalie is amazing. She is so smart and able to aide in her rescue. She knows the jungle amd has great ideas on how to keep Matias from tracking and finding them. She is even able to forage for food and things to make medicines.
Hayes is hot! I love the fact that he listens to Rosaie and allows her to help and realizes she knows the jungle better than He does.
This book has action, adventure and of course lots of spice. I can't wait for zebs story!

Find a comfy chair and dig in, although you will only need the edge. This book drops you in the middle of the action and doesn't let up until the end!

This is the next book in the Guardians series and the men of Bravo are back in Nicaragua. This time they are returning for Rosalie who we meet in Rescuing Carmen as well as the rest of the women held captive by Carmen's father Maximus Angelo and his right hand man Matias. The op does not go according to plan, the men are split up and Hayes and Rosalie are on the run through the jungle.

Rosalie is Carmen's best friend/ maid and the two of them have been together for a decade. Rosalie is anything but a timid housekeeper and has taken full advantage of the limited opportunities she has to better her own education and to take note of the activities at the villa. She is very in tune with the jungle and her expertise becomes invaluable while she and Hayes work to rejoin the Guardians.

Hayes is valuable member of Bravo and a self proclaimed survivalist. He prides himself on being prepared for the worst and making sure he can be successful in any situation. He finds a strong partner in Rosalie while in the jungle and fighting to stay ahead of Matias and his men. Rosalie is no damsel in distress and her knowledge of the jungle contributes to keeping the two of them alive.

Although only together a few days they have an immediate attraction not only physically but on a deeper level where they are able to connect like no other person has before. These deep seated feelings keep them fighting when they think all could be lost.

I received an advance review copy of this book for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is book four in The Guardian Hostage Rescue Specialist Bravo Team Series and it is Hayes and Rosalie’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Bravo Team are determined to rescue Rosalie who is being held by Matias who is a evil, sadistic and a vile man and he is also Maximus right hand man who is determined to take Rosalie as a hostage and also wants her for himself. When Hayes and Rosalie are in the jungle trying not only to survive but also stay in front of Matias and his men the attraction and chemistry between them grows but they need to stay alive if they ever want to see where the attraction they feel for each other is not just the situation that they find themselves in or if they have a future together. I absolutely loved this book and Rosalie has amazing strength and survival skills and even when the going gets tough she shows what she is truly made of and she is so perfect for Hayes. This book takes you into the action right from the first page and on a roller coaster ride of emotions and hanging on the edge of your seat while holding your breath and keeps your attention throughout and I was so hooked and couldn’t put this book down and read it in one sitting. I have to say that even though I have read every single book in this series and they have all been amazing this book is definitely one of my favourite and I can’t wait to read the next book. Ellie Masters is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her readers attention and I definitely recommend that you read this book, series and other books by her and you will not be disappointed.

I thoroughly enjoyed this FULL ON ACTION, heart-stopping rescue! What a ride! I felt like I was in the jungle climbing trees, swirling in racing dangerous rapids, on the run for my life.
Hayes and his team are back in Nicaragua to rescue Carmen Angelo’s best friend Rosalie. Rosie is in servitude at the Maximus Angelo compound. She’s been there since she was bought from her dirt poor family ten years ago. Rosalie was fortunate to become Carmen’s playmate and was educated with Carmen. Now with Carmen gone beautiful twenty-year-old Rosie is fair game. One of Maximus’s businesses is training kidnapped women on “how to please a man” to be sold to slimy buyers.
The team is on-site at the compound with guns blazing when things go FUBAR, the team splits up part rescuing the kidnapped women in the cells and another rescuing Rosalie. Hayes takes the lead and soon the three Guardians must split again. Hayes takes off with Rosie the other two provide distractions. Hayes is a survivalist plus a very competent warrior so he feels confident in his role as the rescuer but tiny little Rosie was raised in this jungle. Her ideas make sense and Hayes deflects to her direction. He is man enough to step back and let Rosalie lead. I love this, I love their interactions. Rosie is a phenomenal partner in this rescue mission. Respect, friendship, trust, and finally love develops in the days it takes these two brave people to get to safety. I could not put this adventure down. GREAT CHARACTERS and an awesome story! I received a free advanced copy of this story from Booksprout and am happy to leave my opinion. Linda

Rescuing Rosalie is very different from the rest of the series and Ellie has really turned everything upside down with Hayes and Rosalie's story. It's a very focused story with just Hayes and Rosalie for the majority of the book.

Rosalie was Carmen's maid (rescuing Carmen book 3) and she really epitomises the opposite of most of the women rescued. When Bravo team go in to rescue Rosalie and the women being held by Carmens father, the operation doesn't go to plan. Hayes with Rosalie have to separate from Bravo team, which leads to them having to make thier way through the jungle in the treetops. Despite Hayes Navy Seal training and in a switch around, its Rosalie who is taking the lead for the most part, doing what she knew would work from her childhood days. Hayes really takes this inverted roles in his stride, he see's Rosalie's plan as making sense, but his heightened sense of awareness of the danger Rosalie is in remains, his goal of getting her away remains.

The relationship between Hayes and Rosalie shifts, at the start Hayes running with Rosalie over his shoulder. As we follow their journey through the jungle, the shift in their relationship is clear, the heat between them building and the chemistry between starts to bubble up to a full on boil. You can feel the atmosphere between them changing as you turn each page. If only it were that easy but in usual Ellie style, there's always going to something unexpected ........

Exciting Team Bravo Adventure!

The third trip to Maximus Angelo’s estate; first time he had kidnapped Doctors from Doctors without Borders. Then he rekidnapped Izzy who had become a part of Bravo Team, and in that rescue Maximus’s daughter Carmen caught a ride with the team Now, Carmen’s maid Rosalie needs rescuing – not to mention the remaining women who are held for trafficking. Bravo and Charlie teams are on this mission.

Rosalie is no shrinking violet; as the oldest child she foraged and hunted in the jungle prior to being taken as a companion for Carmen. Now she is out of the compound, but she and Hayes are separated from the group and will not make exfil. Thus begins a heart-stopping journey away from the traffickers and into the wilds of the jungle. Rosalie is more of a partner than a traumatized rescue, as she has some mad jungle skills. Hayes can’t help but be impressed and attracted.

This is a robust book, but you will finish in short time because you literally will not be able to put this one down. All the cool high-tech gadgetry will not help as they had to use an EMP to gain access to the estate. Back to survival basics, and a delightful relationship grows, as is wont to happen in this series. Pure adrenaline, action and romance.

I could not put this book down. The chemistry between Rosalie and Hayes is beyond sizzling, no matter how much they try to deny it on their perilous trek through the jungle. Gotta love a woman who is confident in her skills and knowledge, and not afraid to do some rescuing of her own. Hayes is impressed with Rosalie’s knowledge of the jungle, her determination and the gutsy way she aids in her own rescue. It is more than gratitude and admiration that he feels when she turns the tables and rescues him in dire circumstances. Soon all he can think about is claiming Rosalie, of showing her that he is worthy of her love. Unfortunately, they are still being stalked by a man determined to break them both. Hayes knows his team won’t rest until both he and Rosalie are retrieved. They just have to stay a step ahead of the enemy and survive the various jungle hazards.

Like his teammates before him, Hayes has found his match in an extraordinary woman who can hold her own in dangerous situations. The Guardian’s mission to save the women who have been trafficked and bring the men responsible to Justice continues in the next book. Rescuing Rosalie is a misnomer of a name. For once this heroine is as equally knowledgeable and as much rescuing herself and her hero as he does for them. From the moment this story begins, the reader is thrown into an adventure that takes you into the deepest depths of the rainforest. And Ellie Masters is not shy about throwing just about every danger in their paths.

The chemistry might be somewhat of a slow burn, but each and every step is worth it in the end. Because sometimes dealing with life makes whatever you are feeling go on the back burner. This books draws you in from page one and barely wants to spit you out at the end. Instead, you will feel like you need so much more.

If you are new to the Bravo Team, welcome aboard. The water is treacherous but the results are exciting as ever. If you aren’t new, you will be gobbling this book up in record time, while looking for you second helping.

PSA: If characters in books ever do come to life, never reside or befriend Carmen. If you know, you know. And if you don’t, well read to the end and find all the upcoming books and you will learn what I mean.

When the team manage to get Rosalie away from Matias they have to split up and Hayes takes on the task of taking Rosalie to the exfil site. Thinking that Rosalie wouldn't survive well in the jungle he is stunned to discover that she knows the jungle well. Hiding from Matias and his men they have to deal with what the jungle throws at them as well as having no way to contact the team. During this time Hayes realizes that Rosalie is just the sort of woman he could love but her past could be a stumbling block. Can they fully escape and can they survive their toughest battle yet knowing that Matias will never stop looking for them. I loved this book. You are sent on a rollercoaster that will keep you hooked from the beginning. You will certainly not want to put the book down. Despite all that has happened to her Rosalie is a strong, determined young woman and just may be a key to the puzzle that the Guardians are trying to solve. I look forward to the next one in the series.

The temperature isn't the only source of heat in the Nicaraguan Jungle with the newest steamy and suspenseful romance from the Guardian Hostage Rescue Specialists.

As Hayes and Rosalie race for survival in the treacherous jungle they need every survival skill they know and a lot of luck to keep one step ahead of the monsters tracking them.

I loved Rosalie she was no damsel in distress she was strong and resilient. I liked how she surprised Hayes more than once with her survival skills.

Hayes is a fantastic guy, strong, honourable and dependable. He uses everything he has as a Navy Seal turned Guardian to protect Rosalie no matter what.

I really liked the fast pace and flow of the story. The chemistry between Rosalie and Hayes was intense and with the added danger it was thrilling and suspenseful from beginning to end.

Rescuing Rosalie was another great story in the series. These Guardians never fail to sweep me off my feet and keep me eager for more.

I'm really hoping we get to see Zeb meet his match soon.

I love this series and this book is a fab addition.

Set in the jungle for the vast majority, it focuses heavily on Hayes and Rosalie so that actually most of the book is them together surviving in hostile territory. In face we don’t see or hear from the rest of the Guardians till the last few chapters.

This time spent on them really allows for their relationship to build and for us to learn so much about them. Whilst we knew a little of Rosalie from Carmen, there is a lot of new information in there which really adds depth to the characters.

Lots happens, and I’m equally enamoured and disenchanted by the jungle experience. Such fun, such danger!!

More answers brought forth in the ongoing storyline of where the rest of the women are and we move forwards to hopefully discovering more.

Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Holy Gezzz, Ellie, you did it again!
Rescuing Rosalie left me speechless at the end. This is such an intense book as is the entire GHRS series. You will experience so many emotions from laughter, anger, sadness, and love in the span of only a page or two.
BRAVO Team is a continuation of the GHRS series that you don’t want to miss!
Hayes wasn’t expecting Rosalie to be the strong determined woman she was because of the background he had read on her and of course did his own evaluation prior to meeting her face-to-face but she sure put him in his place. Rosalie and Hayes split up from the rest of the team and Rosalie proves her worth to Hayes in more ways than one.
Can they escape the Nicaraguan jungle and Matias to have a life that Hayes convinces her that she can have? A life of happiness and choices she can make on her own?
Ellie, we need the next one!!! I am going to have to do a reread of the entire GHRS series now because I need more!

Rescuing Rosalie is another hit from Ellie Masters. She weaves a story that leaves you glued to the page. This book is no exception. There's everything you could want in a book. Danger, suspense, and a healthy dose of romance. Ellie makes you feel like you are right in the thick of things with her characters. I literally felt like I was in the jungle with them and I could picture the waterfall and rapids with no problem. Talk about hair raising suspense! Hayes and Rosalie are made for each other. To Hayes's surprise, Rosalie is no shrinking violet. She keeps up with him every step of the way. She is knowledgeable about things he is clueless about and vice versa. They have chemistry in spades but that is put on the back burner as they fight for their lives to escape Matias, who is evil personified. They have quite a journey ahead of them to get to the HEA they deserve. Sorry, no spoilers. I received this ARC and here is my honest review.

Rescuing Rosalie follows Hayes and Rosalie as they escape Matias after the raid on Maximus Angelo's estate. They become separated from Hayes' team and head into the jungle, on the run from Matias and his men.

I really enjoyed Rescuing Rosalie. It's full of action, adventure, and romance. I loved that Rosalie was so capable and that Hayes not only recognized it but appreciated it. They were great together and I found their romance to be endearing.

I liked both Hayes and Rosalie. I cheered them on as they worked together to make their way back to civilization, and hopefully a means of escape...

This book starts off from events that happen in the previous book and contain parts of an overall series storyline. Due to this, I recommend reading this series in order.

I would recommend this book and the Guardian Hostage Rescue Specialists: Bravo Team series to fans of romantic suspense.

The entire Guardians series has been astounding. I said that Rescuing Carmen was my favorite. But Rescuing Rosalie is a rival to favorite. This was an on-sight mission and it was soooooooo intense. The storyline is fast paced. It's a book that you don't want to put down. There is no good stopping point. There are wonderful characters, Hayes and Carmen. And of course, Bravo Team. Then there are the characters you absolutely hate. Carmen's reciting of her prayer nearly brought me to tears. So beautiful and selfless. After reading Rescuing Rosalie, you will feel as though you've been to Nicaragua. The vivid detail in the scenery and how it plays into the storyline is breathtaking. I really like how you can pick up one of the Guardians books and read it as a standalone. But once you've started at the beginning and continue through the series, you see how well they are connected and will appreciate reading in chronological order. Simply amazing, Author Ellie Masters!

The series continues with Rosalie and Hayes story. Rosalie is Carmen's best friend and with Carmen escaping, Rosalie is in serious danger. Nasty barbaric Matais has wanted her since she was very young but the boss, Carmen's father, forbade it. Now, he will finally get what he wants. Rosalie.
Hayes is part of the Guardian Team sent in to rescue Rosalie and all the women in cages in the basement. He's strong, intelligent and thrives on survival situations. But he finds so much more. In Rosalie
Ellie has created another intense tale full of danger, angst, steam and even some humor like the Chicken bus. Her characters are so well described you'll either fan your face due to her description of the guardians or cover your nose when you ride on the bus or when Matais breathes on you. The jungle world was amazing even down to the rapids in the river. Another amazing story in the series that if I wasn't lost in it when I was reading, I was thinking about it.

This is the fourth book in the Guardian Hostage Rescue Specialists Bravo Team series. Since I haven’t read the first three book I can confirm that this books reads well as a standalone. The author sums up some of the major happenings from the first three books and the majority of the book takes place when Hayes and Rosalie are separated from Hayes teammates. I loved their story. Hayes and the rest of Bravo team were sent to rescue Rosalie but thing go sideways leaving Hayes and Rosalie running for their lives through the jungle. I love that Hayes has no problem deferring to Rosalie, listening to her advice recognizing that surviving in the jungle is something she knows well. If you love fast paced, steamy military this book is for you. I'm definitely getting the first three books. Can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Hayes and the Guardians are back in Nicaragua to save Carmen and her friend Rosalie. Rosalie is being held by Matias with a knife to her neck. Matias gets them from the courtyard to the kitchen through a tunnel. The kitchen is on fire. Matias drags them through it but crumples and struggles to breathe when they get outside. Rosalie starts running. Hayes, Brady and Booker catch up to her. Hayes throws Rosalie over his shoulder so they can go faster.

To distract the men chasing them, Brady and Booker go with one of Mitzy’s drones through the jungle to the pick up point. Rosalie and Hayes go up into the trees and cross the jungle high above everyone.

Will Hayes and Rosalie get out of the jungle without Matias finding them? Will the Guardians come back and rescue them? How do they really feel about each other personally?

Another wonderful story about the Guardians.

I enjoyed books 1 and 2 of the series with 5 stars, and books 3 and 4 = 4 stars. These stories all intertwine and will be best enjoyed reading in order.

Some triggers in this story from a 10-year-old being raped (off page but talked about), to attempted rape near the end of the story.

I loved the H and his caring attitude. The h is smart on how to survive in the jungle and was believable. Story has suspense, violence, intrigue, nasty villains, romance builds slowly and steam - heat level 4+ out of 5.

As with all the previous stories, the ending leaves you with not everything tidied up. What happened to Carmen's father. I would have loved to experience the h in this story seeing things for the first time. She's never been off the estate since she was 10. What was her reaction to everything?

Story ended at the 93% mark on my e-reader - rest teaser for next story. Crude words also used, which is usual for a military story. (ljb)

Never quit

Rosalie and Hayes. Rosalie has been a side character, but of importance in several books as she was a maid/slave at Carmen’s dad’s house. We saw her first in Izzy’s story, then Carmen’s and now her own. Hayes is a member of Bravo and promises Rafe that he won’t fail in his promise to rescue Rosalie. Their story takes them through jungles, waterfalls, rapids, wild animals, dangerous human traffickers, small villages and people who sell them out. Their rescue is violent and graphic, but fitting either the high octane pace and situations of this story. The power of prayer was helpful in several places, but truly at the end when Rosalie is talking with Carmen’s and Misty connects the chess code to the list of women that Rosalie had memorized over the years for prayers. The ending shows there is still more data they need to find everyone, but sounds hopeful for the next book!

This story is my favorite series so far. We met both of these characters in earlier stories. Rosalie is the maid/best friend of Carmen and Hayes is one of the Guardians. When the Guardians return to Nicaragua on a rescue mission the Guardians are separated and Rosalie and Hayes are forced to strike out on their own. Hayes had a preconceived notion of Rosalie and it was amusing to see him stick his foot in his mouth and have to eat crow. Rosalie was a strong character who fought through her insecurities and went for what she wanted. I loved how these two relied on each other and how they didn't allow misunderstandings to feaster. The love scenes were smexy and sweet at the same time. Great HEA.

Amazing fast-paced, edge of your seat suspense, action and danger packed romantic suspense. This has become my favorite of the series! If you've read the previous books then you know there is an overarching story line to take down an enemy that keeps coming back to haunt the Guardians, although each book can be read as a standalone...so given that I've been impatiently waiting to officially meet Rosalie and see her and Hayes' love story unfold. And Ellie didn't disappoint! This story draws you right in with danger and suspense out the gate and it keeps the adrenaline going as these two pave their way to their own HEA. Hayes is the typical protector with a sweet heart, but Rosalie is just as fierce and protective with grit and determination that throws him for a loop at first, but earns his deep seated respect and love as they fight for survival.

This is book 4 in the Guardian Hostage Rescue Specialists and here we have Rosalie and Hayes’ story. While each book can be read and enjoyed as a standalone spoilers form prior books do take place.
This author never disappoints in giving her readers an exciting, suspenseful and super sexy romance…in the jungle!
In this installment the Guardian Team is back in Nicaragua for a rescue mission. When plans go sideways and the only escape route is through the jungles of Nicaragua Hayes takes responsibility for rescuing Rosalie. Insta-attraction, hot combustible attraction and on point survivalist skills this read that a real page turner.
Trying to stay ahead of being captured and tortured while developing feelings for each other made this a real fun read! What happens between them you have to read and find out!

This is book 5 of the Hostage Rescue Specialists. This time they were after Rosalie and the other women held captive. They get Rosalie away but Matias is after them to get her back. The team splits up and Hayes goes with Rosalie. He rescues her, she rescues him. She's quite at ease in the forest which is very attractive to him as he's a survivalist. She gets into trouble and he helps, but then she rescues him right back when he bashes his head in and she has to revive him. Matias catches up with them again and they are both badly beaten but neither one gives up. It's a good story that has lots of adventure in it.

Omg I adored this book. Rosalie was a kick button chick that really was a fantastic character.
When Rosalie was taken captive, the Guardian HRS team were sent in to retrieve her and get the man who held her, but on escape Rosalie and Hayes, one of the team guys get split up from the rest.
I really enjoyed both these characters. As Hayes was getting impressed with Rosalie's skills, it really drew me into the story. Both had chemistry and passion, and yet I enjoyed how patient Hayes was with her knowing her history. Just wonderful!
Ellie Masters writes an involving and thrilling roller coaster ride of a book and I can't wait for more. So good absolutely amazing!!!

In this thriller, when Guardian Team Bravo is sent back to Nicaragua for the third time, Carmen and captive trafficked women were rescued from Maximus Angelo's estate, but Rosalie was being threatened by Matias, Angelo's head of security...who led three members of the team on a chase...but in servant's tunnels leading to the kitchen, there was a fire and Rosalie managed to escape Matias, with Hayes and two others heading to jungle...beginning an exciting, treacherous, deadly trip through the Nicaraguan jungles, while avoiding the men sent after them until could contact team for extraction...Topsy-turvy, edge of seat drama that you will be glad you read...I voluntarily read this book through an Advanced Reader Copy.

When the Guardian HRS Alpha team rescued Izzy and Angie from Maximus Angelo in Nicaragua, his daughter Carmen escaped with them and provided information to the team about her father running a human trafficking operation. As the team is planning a mission to rescue these women and Carmen’s friend Rosalie, Carmen is unexpectedly snatched and taken back home. Now the team is back in Nicaragua for the women being held when all hell breaks loose. During the melee, team member Hayes and Rosie get separated from the others and find themselves using their own skills to keep from being captured themselves. Definitely a page-turner!.

Once again Ellie has given us a book that is the perfect adventure ride filled with drama suspense and of course red hot romance

When the Guardian Team is sent to Nicaragua to rescue Rosalie no body expected that Ex Seal Hayes would be separated from the rest of his team with her by his side Now he will have to use of his skills to survive the jungle the natural predators and the human predators after them. What he didn't expect was to fall for his charge or that she would be as tough as she is. can they make it home and is this the start of something special You will have to read to see. Be aware that you do get some backstory about previous characters so if you want to read the series and haven't I would start at the beginning which is certainly no hardship.
