I enjoyed this book very much and as a manger this would have helped in the first year of me being a manager. I do like all the examples it gives you because when I was a manger those examples did raise to the occasion. This book has a lot to offer if you are taking that step into management or if you are already a manger. It makes you think and reevaluate yourself and how you work as a leader.

It's true there's no shortage of books on leadership , and I have read a few, but this one is actually very useful. The format is simple - just a double page spread on each of the 100 ideas, with one page on the idea, and one page most importantly on how to put it into action. No-one is going to be surprised by the 100 ideas as they are all very sensible and well-known, but they are presented in a very accessible and readable format.

As with all books in this style, it would be helpful if the 100 ideas were grouped into sections with headings rather than one seemingly random list, even just ideas for the leader, and ideas for managing teams. There's a hint at groups of topics in the introduction, and it does finish with some handing over and legacy ideas.

Full of good reminders rather than great revelations. An easily accessible read.

I bought this a few years ago at a time when I wasn’t in charge but felt the need to play more of a leading role in the business. The messages were especially useful then. I remember some of the ‘go with your gut’ type of advice was especially reassuring.

Revisiting it now as a founder with a small team, I found a number of the prompts useful to think about and reflect on. It’s still helpful but probably more relevant if you’re in a large corporate organisation than a fledgling enterprise.

A good book to read daily before bed time. Nigel Cumberland perfectly summarises the pointers into individual pages. A great must read for anyone who is into leadership or someone’s who’s taking up a leadership role.

This book was awful. Half of the references were from Wikipedia! It was so basic that anyone who has ever had a job would find these "little lessons" so obvious that even teenagers have probably been exposed to them. It read like it was written by a clueless middle-aged white man.

Better than the other 2 books I read from author, but still not amazing. Basic, would not recommend.

Hyviä vinkkejä töiden aloitukseen, mutta ei mitään uutta mitä ei olisi ollut jo monessa muussakin johtamis- tai itseapukirjoissa.

Not groundbreaking by any means, but some helpful reminders for those in leadership.

Let me begin by saying that when I am directed to read a leadership book by my company I normally skim through it to get it over as quickly as possible. However, this one I found very interesting and quite enjoyed the ideas and lessons that were presented.
