What do you call a vampire by day, a human by night?
Confused?
That makes two of us!
Sunlight is a little problematic for me. Will I be able to handle it?
By night I am a normal girl. I like computers, ice cream, and guys.
When the sun rises, I’m stronger. I also get an insatiable craving for you-know-what.
The weird sisters stole Dracula’s power.
As masters of the Scholomance, they are recruiting new vampires. A recipe for disaster?
Whatever they are planning, it can’t be good.
There’s only one way to deal with vampires, especially those meddling in the dark arts.
Can I bring them to light before they unleash their nightmare on the world?
We shall see.

Vampire Morning is the first book in Daywalker Chronicles - a paranormal adventure, Fast-paced urban fantasy featuring a slow burn closed door romance and a snarky heroine.
Readers who enjoyed The Chronicles of Zoey Grimm met Sienna before. Now she’s in a new city, with new allies and enemies.
Theophilus Monroe is a fantasy author with a knack for real-life characters whose supernatural experiences speak to the pangs of ordinary life. After earning his Ph.D. in Theology, he decided that academic treatises that no one will read (beyond other academics) was a dull way to spend his life. So, he began using his background in religious studies to create new worlds and forms of magic-informed by religious myths, ancient and modern-that would intrigue readers, inspire imaginations, and speak to real-world problems in fantastical ways.
An entirely new storyline from old characters! Brilliant!
Once again, TM brings us back to a Grim world. (Sorry for the pun)
This is an entirely new storyline, however, replete with a plethora of surprises. And let me tell you, it’s a lot of fun, complete with a totally unexpected twist at the end.
The “twist,” is something Monroe really excels at. He doesn’t use it all the time, but invariably, when he does, it catches me unawares. Brilliance, I tell you, total brilliance.
To be honest, he pulls several surprises out of his pocket throughout the entire story. At several points he leads the reader in one direction only to make an abrupt, whiplash inducing, turn in another direction. As someone who can, far more often than not, usually discern where an author is taking a storyline, it’s especially pleasurable. In a way, it’s a bit like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded (and now I’m going to have to try that sometime).
If you haven’t read the Chronicles of Zoey Grimm, don’t worry. This book stands alone quite nicely. I easily give it two thumbs up, five stars, or your accolade of choice.
There is only one negative that I can point out. If you are a fan of Monroe’s writing, you know that vampires show up in several different series he has authored. At times I found myself confused, but ONLY because I’ve read all of them and plot lines from several different stories were all tumbling about in my mind. This isn’t Monroe’s fault in the slightest. If you’re an avid reader, however, it’s an occupational hazard. The result, I kept expecting Nyx to show up, or maybe Cain. But at least I’m not SO far gone that I was waiting on Bethany Anne and Peter. That would have just been weird.
When I first started reading this book, I didn’t think I was going to like it because it was slow and a bit boring. This book has an interesting twist on count Dracula story Sienna was interesting, and so are the other characters but I don’t believe I’ll be reading the next book in the series. This book was just too slow for me, and I’m sure the other books will be just a slow.
I really enjoyed the first book in what I hope will be a long series. After reading The Chronicles of Zoey Grimm, I was really excited to read a story based on the character Sienna. It helps if you read that series first. Dracula is just the icing on the cake. If you love supernatural books, then these are the books for you. Keep churning out the awesome stories, guys!
Sienna and Dracula, who has turned to the light, have teamed up and are trying to track down his former evil side kicks. There are some surprising bad guys, and the book is a good start for the spin off. It's nice to see Sienna again in her own series and having some characters from the original series join her. I am looking forward to seeing what troubles the new crew will have to face.
Warning: While the cover says this book is #1 of a new series, virtual everyone in the book are fresh from finishing another series focusing on Zoey Grimm who is a bit character in this one. And it seems the MC in this book assumes you’ve read them all, which I hadn’t. That alone had me tending towards a 3 star rating, until I started having so much fun with the last half of this book that it pulled up my rating.
Well...it has been a while since I read any books in this storyline. I have to say that even as a Xanth fan, it took me a while in this book to get to a point where the puns didn't annoy me. I eventually settled into the flow and was able to be entertained by the humor, though at times it really was too ridiculous. However, I needed the laughs and that's what I found because these guys always deliver!
Having read a previous series by Theo Munroe and Many books by Michael Anderle I knew that I would enjoy this first Daywalker Chronicles book, and I wasn't disappointed.
Theo has a way of making his books interesting, intriguing, and full of humour. Plenty of little jokes and double entendres.
The storyline was easy to follow, and the main characters were interesting and likeable. I'm definitely going to read the next book in this series.
“They plan to turn President Brandon into a vampire?” Lizzie chuckled. “He doesn’t get out much as it is. Who would really notice?” I glared at Lizzie. “Show some respect. That’s the president you’re talking about.” Lizzie shrugged. “I didn’t vote for him.” “You voted for the other guy?” “Nope. I voted for the Libertarian.”
Congratulations to Theophilus Monroe and Michael Anderle for this amazing series. It’s extremely hard to find such interesting and exciting authors who not only write intelligently but also provide top rated plots, characters and excitement in the stories. I’m really looking forward to the next book.
An offshoot to the books about Zoey, but excellent in it's own way. Siena was funny, but hearing her internal voice is hilarious and too entertaining to miss. Looking forward for more of this story.
Awesome first book in this series following on from "The Chronicles of Zoey Grimm". Sienna and Dracula have teamed up to try and stop Sorina & her two sisters. Looking forward to the next books in this series.
This book is awesome! It is written very well! I love the characters ! They travel to New Orleans where they battle and hopefully win! Next month book two! Excellent!!
Interesting perspective and approach. Interesting plot changes. Hopefully it will not be too long a series like so many from them are from this group of authors.
