Lorelei is reading on my Kindle these days and just finished the first two books in this series. She highly recommends them as fun and worth reading in one sitting! ;)
This was an amazing book I loved it from start to finish 👍. I loved the new characters but the first one was way worse than this one. I really liked how Jemma Hatt describes what was happening so descriptively.Though I have never read a book where the author is telling the story instead of a character of the book I really enjoyed this book.Perfect for 8 to 9year olds.😀

I really like "The Adventurers" series, they are so mysterious and fun! the reason I gave this a 4/5 and not a 5/5 was because yes, it had mysterious parts, yes, it had a adventurous part with escape rooms in an ancient temple but I feel this series is based on Egypt a lot. And, I would like it if it was an Egyptian series completely but the characters are supposed to travel the world which like in this book they don't do so much they just roam around Egypt, however in some books they do travel the world its just that most of the books are either in Egypt or based on Egypt. So I still do reccommend this book don't worry its actually not that bad. I hope you enjoy! ;)
THE ADVENTURERS-BOOK 2 IN THIS BOOK THE CHILDREN ARE AGAIN ON AN ADVENTURE BUT THIS TIME THEY ARE IN EGYPT AND THEIR WORLD-FAMOUS UNCLE IS WITH THEM. THIS TIME AGAIN THEY FIND SOME CLUES THAT THEY THINK COULD LEAD THEM TO TREASURE. SO, WITH OUT TELLING ANYONE THESE CHILDREN, THEIR UNCLE AND A FRIEND SET OUT TO EGYPT FOR ONE MORE GRAND ADVENTURE. BUT THIS TIME TOO A BAND OF CRIMINALS ARE AFTER THESE PRICELESS ARTIFACTS. CAN THEY SAVE BOTH THEMSELVES AND THE ARTIFACTS IN TIME. THIS WAS YET AGAIN A FANTASTIC BOOK.
This was a fun listen. I liked the reader, for the most part, but would have preferred multiple voices- women voices for the girls. This is definitely a young person's adventure story (most adults prefer what I don't want) but because I like non-violent, no profanity, etc. reads-this was perfect for me! I had hoped for more fleshing out of the characters, as I couldn't really visualize them. I look forward to finding the first episode and others, for more adventurous reads!
The Adventurers follow the clues to Egypt to solve the mystery of Lara's dad last archaeological dig. We meet Logan (her uncle) who is incredibly clumsy. Lots of links to previous characters and new ones too. Who knew it would be so easy for kids to travel around Egypt?!?!
wow this took me away it was amazing to travel to egypt and ..... wow there is really no words for how amazing this book is . For anyone who likes exiting adventures then this book is for you , I personally LOVE LOVE LOVE this series because of the weird and wonderful ways they do things thank you soo much for creating these books . 😃😀😀😀
Felt so slow to get going and then mad dash for the finish. As if the writer could only submit a set amount of pages. If they'd taken their time, the ending could have been outstanding...feel slightly let down after the story just got going it ended.....!!
Escape with the adventurers to Egypt, I would strongly recommend reading via the audiobook. I would recommend to read the books in order and this book focuses on how Lara is similar to her father. Clean and cozy, suitable for readers of all age.
I loved this book! I think it was a great sequel to the first book. I loved the front cover! I couldn’t put it down. I am so happy to finish off the rest of the series. Thank you Jemma Hatt!
In their last adventure, cousins Lara and Rufus spent the summer with their Great Uncle Herb at his castle in Cornwall and met a new friend, Tom (son of the castle’s caretaker and housekeeper). This time Tom is visiting Lara and Rufus in London during the October school break.
When Lara’s mom, an Egyptologist, is called away on business, she leaves them in the care of Lara’s Uncle Logan. The kids start digging through Logan’s things and find a stash of letters from Lara’s father (who has passed away). The kids realise that the letters are clues to a great treasure … in Egypt.
When their search for answers in London leads nowhere, Logan gets the brilliant idea to head to Egypt, taking the the kids with him. While in Egypt, the children meet Maye, the little sister of Karim, a friend the group met in their last adventure.
Some people might think that this story is far-fetched, but it’s a kids’ adventure story and they don’t need to be grounded in reality. I mean, let’s be honest, when I was a kid I was reading about phantom tollbooths and mice that rode on toy motorcycles!
While this tale is definitely not a realistic one – kids running around Egypt without their parents’ knowledge, evading bad guys, looking for a long-lost Egyptian burial tomb – it is still lots of fun. I know lots of kids will get a kick out of the sense of adventure these characters share. The book is fast-paced so children definitely won’t be bored reading this. Personally, I can’t wait to see what they all get up to next!
* Thank you to the author, Jemma Hatt, for providing me with a digital copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review.
This book had so many of my favorite things: a fast paced action packed adventure, strong friendships, pieces of real history woven into the story, and a found family. I love to see it!
This gave me Indiana Jones and The Mummy vibes-so good!
I listened to the audiobook, and the narrator does a fantastic job!
I can’t wait to see what adventure Lara, Rufus, Tom and Barney get up to next!
