Bad Kitty is excited for the Easter egg hunt. She isn't going to bother with the measly blue, red, or purple eggs. She only wants the golden egg with the special prize! But what happens when Puppy gets the golden egg instead of Kitty? Can anything make Kitty happy again?

I liked the idea of putting activity ideas inside of the eggs instead of candy that this story features. The message of kindness and friendship at the end was touching and a good end to the story. Many kids would have the same mindset as Kitty when entering an Easter egg hunt, so this story could be a great opportunity to talk about attitude and not letting competitiveness ruin a fun event.

I need to try this out with my students, but I don't think very many of them would think that finding writing prompts in their Easter eggs would be very fun.

Let's talk about Bad Kitty's choice to not collect any eggs at all, going all in on the golden egg. How did that turn out for him? What do we think he might do next time?

I thought this book was totally adorable, and taught a good lesson for kids. I like that the author thought to include a special page kids could copy for their own Easter celebrations. Very appropriate and FUN!!! Easter book for kids.

Very cute and sweet book about a kitty who lets its friends get all the eggs because he wants the golden egg. Someone else gets it, so he is sad until his friends wish him a Happy Easter. Bright colorful illustrations, and a few writing / drawing opportunities made this a cute read.

It was ok. A little bit short and simple. I expected it to be like the longer form bad kitty novels, but this was for a more younger audience.

3 stars (I liked it)

This was way different from a lot of the other Bad Kitty books and that rubbed me the wrong way a bit. I did think the activities were cute (if a little sappy)

Bad Kitty actually does like Easter until she doesn't get the coolest Easter egg. I read an early Nick Bruel book recently and the art was so much better than this.

“I liked when bad kitty got the gold egg because puppy gave it to her and that was very nice.” - Luke

I love this series, always a good message disguised as a cute story. - Mama

Bad kitty is very particular about the color eggs he wants during the egg hunt and ends up with none. Preschool and up

This bad kitty doesn't follow the rules of the Easter Egg Hunt and guess who does not get an egg?

Not as good as the chapter books but still pretty fun.

An egg-cellent book for parents to share with kids to start a fun egg hunt game of having challenges inside of the eggs instead of candy.
