Rate this book
Friendship with Mary is possible. She is real, accessible, and relatable. She is our companion in the life of prayer and in our whole life with Jesus. Filled with reflections and brief imaginative sequences, Come to Mary's House invites you to imagine you are with the Blessed Virgin - visiting in her living room, working in her garden, or catching up over coffee. The goal is to encourage your encounter with Mary as a friend, sister, and mother - in a comfortable, gentle way. By developing a personal relationship with her, you'll let her lead you closer to Jesus. This book is for all who long for Mary and want to live in spiritual companionship with her. If you want to pray more deeply, love Jesus more, and serve authentically from the heart, you couldn't choose a better master of the spiritual life than Our Lady.

I'm so sorry that this book ended--I could have gone on with it a lot longer (I almost took a star away because it was too short!).

The book takes us into relationship with Mary, mother of Jesus. We become closer to her through a series of vignettes, inviting us into her home, working with her, praying with her, listening to her. And through her, to her son.

Each entry ends with a meditation to further explore what we may have learned or experienced in the vignette.

I found the book soothing and helpful and deeply enjoyable.

A Warm Invitation

This book represents such a warm invitation to build a relationship with Mary, the mother of Jesus. Inventive and imaginative, this work soothes the soul and encourages greater mental prayer. Reading this book has helped me to grow in my love and appreciation for the Holy Family.

What an incredible book to help develop a very personal relationship with our Holy Mother. This is a great book for those just beginning, but is also wonderful for those who already have an active, contemplative prayer life and relationship with Mary. This is a great book to give as a gift. I would love to see our church give this book out as a gift to the parishioners! This is a book I will reread several times.

I have always had a devotion to Mary. I found her approachable. She was a single mother. She was a widow. She kept everything and pondered things in her heart. Mary always points to Jesus and to bring us closer to him. I loved this book as the meditations and readings brought Mary closer to me and have someone to share Jesus with. I took away many things that, like Mary, I will keep in my heart and ponder them also at later times.
