Finally a good reading, after several average ones...
Although, a short one, but it's well worth reading.
Bloody Mary retelling.
Damon is a demon hunter obsessed to kill the Bloody Mary demon.
And finally, after several years in front of fake mirrors, he found the real one.
What he didn't count was to be so attracted to "her".
A lot of changing roles domination, it's a super hot story.
Both fighting to be the one in control.
But they only have one night, which of them survive?
Can Damon trust Mary and save her?
Can Mary trust Damon not to kill her?

This was my second novella from Jack Whitney and it did not disappointed me at all
Erotica, smutty, dark and very spooky novella with lots of spice -and it had a plot a very good one.
Scarlet Mary is a demon trapped inside a mirror she is summoned by a professional demon hunter 😏. When she is summoned they play...alot😂 I loved this novella. Really wish it wasn't just novella instead little longer.
The epilogue was the best.😉

Searching for a paranormal and smutty fast-paced novella that will have you hot and bothered all over? Look no further. Break the Glass is a fine mashup between a retelling of Bloody Mary and—in my fair and humble opinion—Supernatural. Now, I know Jack didn’t take any character inspiration from it but what with all the demon hunter storyline and Mary being a succubus how could I not be reminded of that series? Either way, it was incredible and very satisfying in all the ways that mattered.
I will say that I think it’s more of short story than a novella—at least that’s how I read it. Not that I counted the words, which is really the only difference between the two. ALAS. I loved it. I loved the connection and tension between Damon and Mary, the thriller component, the deal, everything. And whether it is or isn’t a short story or novella, I sure as hell—got it? Because Bloody Mary?—hope that Jack someday eventually maybe decides to expand the story. Because I am curious to read about their adventures and I think it really has the potential to be a longer book.
Anyways—short but sweet review. Dual narration from first person perspective. Smut heavy with a fascinating storyline with the potential to expand on it. Dark, demonic and depraved. What better novella for all of you Halloween loving hearts? Would for sure recommend.

This was more like a short story rather than a Novella. But, this ARC read was one of my favorites from Jack Whitney so far! I absolutely loved the spin she made on Bloody Mary…I’m sure we have all heard different versions growing up of this Urban Myth. I thought her execution was great! I thoroughly enjoyed it and actually wished this was sort of set up in a book full of short-stories with different myths/legends. I wanted more. It was fun, sexy, imaginative, and entertaining.

Break the glass is a brilliant example of a novella done right. A short read that didn't feel short at all. On the contrary, it was a wild, fulfilling ride. It promises spice and creepiness and totally delivers.
The writing was great and brought to life the horror elements as well as the chemistry between the characters. The world was built adequately, and the creepy atmosphere sucked me in from the first page.
For an enemies-to-lovers short read, the characters' journey from hate to lust to full-blown passion was narrated perfectly. I really enjoyed them both.
I love female villains, so Mary was such a treat. She is the epitome of badassery. Considering that Damon gives off savage energy, these two make one hell of a couple and I wouldn't object to reading more of them.
Did I like it? Sure did.
Would I read it again? A very creepy yes.

I loved this! Perfect to get into the Halloween spirit. Damon is a demon hunter who finally found the mirror that keeps Mary trapped. He releases her to kill her, but he can’t help but have a little kinky fun with her first. But she is the one who tames him. He’s dominant in nature but he surrenders so beautifully to her.
Jack Whitney can set the scene and tell a story so beautifully in only 70 pages. That is a talent. This is mostly smut but there’s a real story as well. And I will never stop reading these holiday themed novellas. Mary can use me as a doormat and I would say “thank you ma’am” I love powerful female main characters and she is so powerful. Brings Damon to his knees, literally, makes him beg, literally. I loved Damon as well. He does so well in keeping up with her and surrenders to her. That is a man who is not insecure! No weak fragile male ego here.

I always love the books jack releases. This short novella was no different. It’s a take on Bloody Mary with some smutty goodness mixed in 🥵
Damon’s original mission was to summon Mary from her mirror and then end her right then and there. Obviously Mary being the badass that she is, definitely didn’t let that happen 😏 I quite enjoyed their little banter and watching them fight for dominance with each other. Honestly I couldn’t figure out if I wanted to be Mary or Damon. Both were just equally delicious and I wanted more of them. Mary’s dirty talk was so hot 😩 I love dominant women who take charge and take what they want.
I also liked the tiny little details we got of Damon and Mary’s past lives when they were talking about the scars they had on their body. These two were definitely made for each other and I enjoyed getting a peek into their lives together in the epilogue 🤩
