Calliope started out as a weak and pathetic Delta of the Moonstone Pack. She allowed her Pack mates to bully and humiliate her without fighting back.
Levi the Alpha of the Blood Eclipse Pack the most feared and ruthless packs in the whole country didn't want a mate whether the Goddess gave him one or not.
Calliope and Levi had a rough beginning because he treated her just as bad as her previous pack members. It wasn't until her wolf Nava took control and showed her what she was really made of.
The Blood Eclipse Pack had many enemies and Levi knew in order to be strong and lead his pack he would need the support of his Luna. Calliope eventually grew a backbone and learned to stand up against Levi and anyone else who came up against her
This story was full of Angst and plot twists. Levi and Calliope had a lot of repair in their relationship all due to Levi's carelessness in how he handled the gift he was given in the form of a Fated Mate.
Allies were formed and loyalties were tested. In the midst of betrayals, sneak attacks and battles, Calliope knew it was up to her to put an end to all of the bloodshed by standing up and being the Powerful Luna everyone needed her to be.

It's honestly so difficult to find a quality werewolf mate story. This one had a lot of potential in the beginning, but then towards the middle it just went 📉📉📉 (steep downhill, for anyone who can't see the emoji).

Wolf Shifter/Dual PoV/Enemies to Lovers-Fated Mates
SYNOPSIS (Standalone): FC, Calliope, is a Delta and an orphan. She has been treated as a dogsbody by her pack when she meets the Alpha of the Blood Eclipse pack, Levi, a strong alpha with a blood thirsty reputation. They are fated mates and whilst the Alpha doesn‘t want a fated mate he needs a Luna so agrees to mate with her and take her back to his pack.
Heat Level: 🌶️🌶️/🍆🍆🍆 There are a few sex scenes littered through the book but I found them more cringeworthy than hot with the author seemingly trying too hard to create some heat and intimacy
DNF at 60%. I just couldn‘t take this anymore even with skim reading. The writing was clunky and juvenile, the FC was pathetic and the MC came across as a boy trying to be tough. The scene where the MC tells the FC his rules when they first return to his pack is so cringy „we will not touch“, „we will not have sex unless we want release and then it will just be physical“ (shudder). The MC was supposed to be this tough, bloodthirsty alpha but he was like a child throwing his weight around and randomly telling other packs that they would be deemed his enemy because they did something with which he did not agree. The FC was so weak and despite her apparent background voice telling her to fight back she never did. I found nothing to like about the characters and no world building or relationship development. It was all superficial and childish. I would not recommend.

I will start off by saying that I was given the opportunity to read the ARC of this book for my honest opinion. This is my first book by this author and it was extremely well written. There is angst and quite a few plot twists that have you drawn into the book. You see allies built, loyalties tested, battles, sneak attacks, betrayal, but more importantly you see the MMC & the FMC working their way through the story.
Calliope goes from being seen as the weak Delta of the Moonstone pack to becoming and proving herself to be the strong Luna that her Alpha male and the Blood Eclipse pack need.
Levi is the Alpha of the Blood Eclipse Pack whose known to be the most feared and ruthless in the whole country. Initially he didn’t want a mate from the moon goddess. It is nice to see him have to backtrack his treatment of his mate from when she first came to his pack to the end of the book.
Highly recommend especially if your into werewolf stories.

Ok there is just so much wrong with this book. There is so much filler of "everything's great" its insane. Somehow all the tension that made the first part of the book somewhat enjoyable vanishes by 1/3 of the way through the book. Im all for instalove but there should be some challenges or disagreements. For 2/3 of the book no one disagrees or challenges the heroine. She can do absolutely no wrong AT ALL. she literally solves a decade long feud with a few words to someone she has never met... No character is perfect and this heroine lacked any and all flaws after 1/3 of the way through the book. She always had the right answer and always seemed to fix any problem. The book lacks any cohesive plot from start to finish. Then there is a magic unicorn that fixes all the issues that the perfect heroine cant fix... I mean i love me a good PNR, and I LOVE werewolf books... but this book was terrible. Also, how many times does the author need to remind the reader that she "was a delta who was good at x." We get it!
Just as a side note that irked me.. the spice in this book felt like it was written by someone scared of sex or descriptive terms. There were several scenes where the author tries and just misses the mark. Maybe she should read a suzanne wright novel to see how it should be done if you're going to do it.

Typical bullied female becomes Luna to a different pack. The Alpha rejects her, not because she is bullied, but because doesn't want a mate at all. He mates her because the pack needs a Luna, but more like a political marriage. He does not want to be "weakened" by falling in love.
Things get weird when the inner circle of high ranking wolves in her new pack tell her she needs to "tame the Alpha." This apparently means tame him with her magic vagina. When they do have sex, the inner circle starts to say things like "Oh, now you started taming him." So they all believe magic vagina will "tame" him, whatever that means. I mean, he's ruthless but successful, kind of like a businessman would be. Why does that need to be "tamed"? He's not a mindless, feral animal. He's just sort of a successful sociopath, and those can't be changed with magic vagina.
But somehow the magic vagina DOES work. He falls in love with her and begs her forgiveness less than 1/3 of the way through the book. I wasn't interested in what happened after.

I absolutely love this book so much. This story might seem like it's the typical ahole Alpha and the weak Delta...but nope this story is not typical at all. Regardless of how Levi started I couldn't hate him. He seems confused, lost, and lonely. No matter how weak Cali seemed I didn't feel like she was. She was holding back because she didn't have guidance and support. She didn't know what it means to standup for yourself. Overall the characters growth was astounding. And crystal the Unicorn, I loved that. I also really enjoyed the secondary characters. I really wish they have books too. This book was hard to put down and the plot keeps you glued to the book until the end. I also loved the twist at the end. It was perfect.

This was an amazing read!!! This is the first book I've read by Louise Clément and she had me turning the pages to see what happened next. I lived there characters, the world she created for her characters and the whole story!!!
Calliope is such a beautiful and strong person. She was dealt a hard life but she made do, and Levi was ruthless and broody. I lived their chemistry that both characters had toward each other. Their journey together was exciting, captivating and beautiful I can't wait to read what's next!!!

Great quick read with HEA
I really enjoyed this book, the Luna begins her story mistreated by everyone, her mate realizes his mistake and the Luna makes him work for her love while being a kind and bad@ss woman. I liked how Cal didn't forgive Levi right away and how the changes in their relationship were displayed over time. I enjoyed the characters arcs for everyone, including the background characters and also the switching POVs. Good pacing- really enjoying the good parts and letting the characters shine thru the bad.

DNF. Stopped at chapter 18. The setup for the story was good and I love a good weak—>strong FL story. But the dialogue and the interaction between the characters was superficial and cheesy. Like the characters are just following an outline of a script without any actual organic development of their characters… or as I’ve seen described before…the book is telling rather than showing what is happening to the characters. The writing also seems to be written by someone very young.

I wanted to like this book but I couldn’t. There were good parts here and there but overall I wasn’t a fan. It was way too long and dragged on. There was so much filler and nothing really happen for a while. The ending was cute. The beginning was okay, the middle was horrible and I took months to get through becuase i didn’t like it and the end was okay. It was cute. Overall wouldn’t recommend. I don’t think it’s a bad book necessarily but it wasn’t for me. It could not keep my attention. 1/5

Intriguing
it really was a well woven tale. Full of excitement and unexpected turns . I’m happy Trix got her happy ending and Alpha Kai came into his own but the ocrown jewel is Luna Cal. Alpha Levi was true to his form to the end but became a way better man / leader and Alpha .
The cons though the grammar but still not as bad as others . It was a decent improvement . Happy it was one book with no cliffhanger . I was hoping Beta Darrell would have gotten his mate but all is well that ends well .

Beautifully, complete well written book. This book tells a story of how even the hardest stone hearts can be turned back with the right kind of person in your life. In depth love story between an alpha that doesn't want love and a delta that doesn't think she deserves it.

I loved this book!! The angst, the slow burn all of it. The FL is amazing and she shows how a Luna is supposed to lead. The ML on the other hand made me go through an emotional roller coaster. However, it was all worth it.

This was a pretty good comfort read. It has a pretty basic love story between an alpha and his mate. No cheating or anything just two people trying to figure out how they fit into each others lives. The characters felt relatable and the ending was seriously the best. Was hoping for more books.

This is my first book by this author and I hope not my last... This book was so good and I really hope some secondary characters get there book because I would definitely like to know if Darrell finds his mate.

Wonderfully written!
I love this story. I enjoy reading about mystical creatures as well as shifters, I love the romance, and humor in her books. I can't wait to read more of Louise Clement's books.

Fun read
It was a fun, low anxiety read. There were the bad guys, kidnappings, and wars, but they were pretty mellow compared to some of the others, and that's exactly what I was looking for.

This was a surprisingly good read that pulled me in from the start. It's a violent werewolf world, but it was fun watching the characters change and mature. The interwoven love stories with alot of groveling brought a wonderful HEA.
