Human Anatomy for Artists

Rate this book
The skeleton, joints and muscles determine the proportions and the mobility of the human body. A body's unique character is determined by its anatomic characteristics. For artists, the study of human anatomy is a prerequisite for achieving realistic representations of people. This book will enable you to observe more closely, train your eye to see what is most essential, and advance your overall understanding of the human form.

An excellent book for artists who are interested in the subject. Rendered entirely in pencil, the book covers all of the standard bone and muscle structures. However, what separates it from other books, is the inclusion of various poses that put the muscles in different stress positions. Lots of drawings that I've never seen in other books!
