In this light-hearted picture book about cows, learn just how much cows love to chew, even without top teeth. They graze all day, then rest, and chew some more. Cows Have No Top Teeth is perfect for home or for classroom read alouds. Kids love shouting out the answers to silly questions like "Does a cow drink through a straw?" This call and response format is a time-tested method for keeping kids engaged and interacting, instead of just chewing on the pages. Fun facts about every kid's favorite farm animal! Excellent for teaching STEM topics about teeth, chewing and eating. ❉ — “Im 7 years old and Santa brought me this book and it’s my favorite book this year. I love reading it!” — “I love this book and this series.” — “Cute illustrations and fun commentary make this a little winner for youngsters – and oldersters” ❉ Other books in the The Awesome Animals series is a collection of weird but true books for kids about the animal kingdom. Half fact and half fun, each book features an animal which is missing something that we're taught to expect should be there. But these animals don’t just thrive despite that absence, they thrive because of it. All books use a dyslexia-friendly type-face. With dyslexia, we often focus on the challenges - difficulty reading. But thanks to the way the dyslexic brain is built, people with dyslexia are often creative, intuitive and highly successful. In other words, those people aren't thriving despite their dyslexic brain, they are thriving because of it.

A funny look on how cows eat. I didn't know that cows had no top teeth and what a fun fact to learn with your kiddos. Endearing illustrations of cows and how they eat, how they smile, and how they can bring a smile to your child's face reading this book. A great book for you and your child to enjoy together!
A special thank you to Books Go Social and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.
Oh, this made me laugh! And even though I do like nature and consider myself quite knowledgeable, I had no idea, that cows have teeth in the first place! I was absolutely sure they have none! Shame.... Anyway, back to the book. It´s so cute! Simple and fun. And have lots of adorable illustrations. I´m sure kids will love it.
This book is cute! Children will love it! The illustrations are colourful and charming. Children spend several years losing and growing teeth, so they will readily identify with an animal and their teeth (or lack thereof). I can see them drawn in right away by the title itself: they probably never knew that cows have no top teeth! The book is informative, and children will learn many things about cows in a fun and interesting way. I love the question "What's the lovely thing about you?" at the end of the book! An excellent way to make something that might be considered "different" about a cow, or a child, into something "lovely." I can't wait to read this at storytime, and hear the responses I get!
I would like to thank #NetGalley and #BooksGoSocial for allowing me the opportunity to read this book, in exchange for my honest review.
A delightful tale with simple, yet adorable illustrations. It’s just disgusting enough to interest the most reluctant of readers and fascinating enough for the budding young scientists. Tills has crafted an entire series of books tackling the most obscure and interesting scientific facts about animals. They are entertaining and educational, which can be a tricky balance to maintain in children’s books. This one covers the fact that cows have no top teeth. As someone who spends a lot of time around cows, I appreciated how the simple concept of cows having only bottom teeth had an entire book written devoted to it. The text is easy enough for younger readers to tackle independently and also has some great vocabulary that can be used for lessons. This is one that classrooms will want to add to the science shelf along with the other books in the series.
A big thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is a children's book. This is one in a series. They are great, fun books. The funny thing is that they are nonfiction! Cows really do not have top teeth. They really do love to chew. I think that these are great for early readers. The graphics make the book easier to read and understand, which is very helpful. Kids will love the curious facts that they can learn. Believe me, they will share the facts with their friends. 4 stars
The Awesome Animal series gets the tick of approval from the couple of kids I have tried them on. I have yet to meet a kid that doesn’t like animals, and these books offer a fun and interactive reading experience.
The titles are simple facts relevant to those particular animals, but to kids that aren’t aware, it’s a great way to capture their attention and make them think even before you open the book.
The illustrations are fun and I appreciate the author’s decision to include a dyslexic-friendly typeface.
I enjoyed this. I actually didn’t know that cows didn’t have top teeth and I’ve hand fed more than one in my life. So that was cool for me! I enjoyed the colors and illustrations. I gave it a 4 because I read it to my four year old daughter and she wasn’t as engaged as I was. But I’ll try it again with my sons so they get the info too.
Just like the others in the Awesome Animals series, this book makes my daughter smile and she wants to read it again and again. And this is my top priority when choosing a children's book. The author picks funny facts about animals and show them in a simple yet unique way. These books entertain the whole family.
I am grateful for NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the Advance Reading Copy.
This book provides fun, animal facts while entertaining my daughter. I learned something new too as I had no idea cows don't have top teeth. Another enjoyable read with colorful illustrations. Looking forward to reading more in this series.
Thank you Netgalley and BooksGoSocial for the opportunity the read this book.
Me and my children enjoyed this story with all the cow's characters within. It's about cow's and how they chew there food. The illustrations want along with the story quite well. My children had fun looking at the pictures and laughing with the story.
I received a complimentary copy via Netgalley. This is my honest unbiased opinions.
I love this book and this series. With whimsy and cute artwork, some unique facts about cows teach children (and me, a town girl who's never ventured too close to a cow!) about the less known aspects of a cow's anatomy.
This book mainly focuses on the fact that cows do not have top teeth. This goes into detail about how they eat, chew, etc. This is a great book to read to children as they may see it as humorous and fun to read and interact with!
I read the Spanish version, Las Vacas No Tienen Dientes de Arriba, and it was adorable. The illustrations are cute and the text is informative and a little silly. ¡Qué increíble!
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a digital review copy. Publish date (Spanish language version) January 31, 2023.
A fun book filled with facts, shu we won't tell. The story is exciting and easy to follow. The illustrations are fun and will have you both snickering. One of the questions... Do Cows need to eat grass with a straw? I highly recommend this series for the information that your kiddo won't know he is learning and for the uniqueness of this idea. Happy reading.
This is a funny children's book about cows and how they eat. I didn't know that cows have no top teeth, but somehow, my daughter knew this and she thought I was silly for not knowing. This is a good book, with lovely graphics, which we both enjoyed.
Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!
This is a charming and informational book that teaches children about cows (and why they don't have too teeth!). The text is short and simple, making it easy for children to follow along. The illustrations are absolutely adorable and engaging, sure to capture the attention of a young audience.
