A newly patched member shouldn’t want the daughter of the MC President, but I’ve never made decisions based on what I should or shouldn’t do. I make them on what I want, and nothing more. I want her, even if it's considered forbidden.
Hawk Lee
I'm a Creeker. That's what they call members of "The Red Creek Renegades" - Red Creek, TN Chapter. We have two rules. Don't fuck the president's daughter, and don't get caught doing illegal shit.
Well, one out of two isn't bad.
Truth is, Banner Clark was worth it. I'd do it again. In fact I will do it again.
Especially when I lose my brother in an accident. Little do Banner and I know we’ve been named guardians of my nephew. Playing house turns into the real thing; a lot quicker than we realize.
What you're getting...
- Full-length Novel - Marriage of Convenience - Found Family - Full of Emotion - Forbidden Love (Pres' Daughter w/ newly patched member)
From USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author, Laramie Briscoe, comes a brand new motorcycle club series set in the fictional town of Red Creek, TN.
This is a great start to a new series Red Creek Renegades MC. This author took me through the wringer with all the twists and turns and the heartbreaks. What a fantastic story about a couple who are given a second chance due to crushing circumstances. It was definitely a page turner for me and that ending…WOW!!! I highly recommend this book.
Wow. Wow what a great start to a new series. Laramie Briscoe did an amazing job on this book. I couldn't put book down once started.
I loved Hawk and Banner together, they have a past that keeps hurting them. But when tragedy brings them together, they fight to save everything they hold dear. They work well together, and it brings them back together.
Rounding this up to 4 stars. Beware, there are some pretty big triggers in there, so if you have things you'd rather not read about, ask about them.
I really loved the first part of this story. Great characters. Then there was the incident that we knew was going to happen, but it still shocked me and tore my heart out. Then we get more backstory about the first part of the book and I kinda felt it was a little too much, but that may just be me.
Sacrifice is the first book in the Red Creek Renegades MC Series by Laramie Briscoe. I’m not going to lie, I was a blubbering mess throughout this novel. If you’re a fan of the movie Life As We Know It and Sons of Anarchy, then I highly recommend you go to Amazon and 1-click this bad boy today!
I’m all for a secret baby romance, and holy heavens, Laramie Briscoe took the secret baby trope to a whole new level. Hawk Lee and Banner Clark fall in the category of Surprise Baby romance…only in an unconventional way.
Hawk Lee grew up on the rougher side of town and lived his own personal hell, up until the day his brother turned 18 and got the two out of the shithole they once called home. Now he’s a newly patched member of the Red Creek Renegades Motorcycle Club and he is having trouble following the president of the Red Creek Renegades unspoken…. Stay away from his daughter! But what happens when one night with Banner Clark goes a little too far….
Banner lived a pretty normal life full of love and security. One night with Hawk Lee was the perfect element for all the good vibes to implode around her. Now, she’s lost more than she can admit and she’ll do everything in her power to keep Hawk at arms length….
Or so she thinks… When a tragedy rocks the club, Banner and Hawk are about to hit the true test and put their differences aside per the wishes of Hawk’s brother and Banner’s best friend’s last wishes…to become legal guardians of their 10 month old son, Jacob.
My Thoughts:
I’m not going to lie, I may have cried a time..or two.. While reading Banner and Hawk’s story. In all seriousness, there is a lot of devastation surrounding this romance. For a new to me author, all I can say is I’ll be reading more from Laramie Briscoe in the future!
So let’s start with the storyline. Banner and Hawk’s romance starts off with an instant attraction. This attraction has an underlying forbidden vibe to it. Hawk is a member of the Red Creek Renegades MC and Banner is the daughter of said MC’s President. If that doesn’t spell forbidden, I don’t know what does! I loved the chemistry that surrounded these two from the start. My heart instantly wanted to see these two together. And then the night, that shall not be mentioned further than this point due to spoilers, happened… I had a feeling I knew where this situation was going to go. But Laramie Briscoe took it above and beyond my predictions…. The outcome…. My heart broke for both Banner and Hawk…. They were put through so much! How can two people survive all that! I was shocked and devastated, and that’ll be all I say about the storyline. ‘ I loved Banner’s strength and Hawk’s vulnerability through those tense and tragic moments. My heart legit wept for these two characters. However, I had to drop a star rating due to the fact that I wanted more moments between Banner, Hawk, and Jacob as a newly formed family. I wanted to see that aspect grow and thrive.
Overall, I really liked Sacrifice by Laramie Briscoe. I look forward to reading more from the Red Creek Renegades MC Series in the future!
So many emotions! I was not prepared for this roller coaster. This new MC romance kicks off a new series and I’m already hooked. I was immediately pulled into the story and the characters, all of the characters and I was not prepared for the impact of events.
Hawk is the newly patched member in the MC and Banner is the president’s daughter. Anything between the two is forbidden. The two have so much chemistry and one night forced to stay together their feelings lead to more, but Hawk regrets their night together. Tragedy brings the two together when the two must move in together and share custody of Hawk’s nephew.
The angst and tension is high. The two face loss, real-life struggles, and pain. Told through flashbacks their emotionally tumultuous relationship is revealed. I loved the connection between the two and watching them open up and work through their painful past.
I loved the storyline and characters. I was fully immersed in the world and felt all of the emotions. Their journey and growth were wonderful, I did notice a few plot holes regarding their past but the story and characters were solid and I had a hard time putting this down.
There are some touch subjects discussed, check out the author’s trigger warnings. The book does end on a bit of a cliffhanger/teaser for the next book, but with a HFN for Hawk and Banner. I’m excited for the next book.
Sacrifice is the story about Hawk, a member of the Red Creek Renegades and Banner, the daughter of the MC’s President.
Banner and Hawk have feelings for each other but due to his past and her being the princess of the club they don’t give into their feelings until one night when they are snowed in together.
The results of that night cause a major rift between the two and their relationship takes a disastrous turn. 6 months later after a tragedy happens they end up being pushed together and have to deal with the past in order to fight for their future.
This book is high on angst, a roller coaster of emotions. With both Banner and Hawk making rash decisions that will impact their lives forever. Neither is good at asking for help or confiding in others.
This doesn’t feel like any MC book I’ve ever read before. There’s minimal interaction with the club or at the clubhouse and no road names aside from Banner’s dad.
A great start to a new MC series! And why wouldn’t it be - I originally discovered this author’s other / different MC series years ago!
Hawk and Banner are both tied to the club - him as a member and her as the President’s daughter. The same president who has made it clear in the past that his daughter is off limits. One night Hawk is unable to ignore his attraction and one thing leads to another if you know what I mean. I was like - YAY! But that was short lived since he woke up with regret the next morning and then I was like - DANG! Men can be idiots sometimes though… Next thing you know these two are the guardians of Hawk’s nephew whom they both love very much and will do anything for that little boy. Looks like they will be living together playing house…
The first book in a new series follows Hawk and Banner. Hawk is a member of the Red Creek Renegades and Banner is the daughter of the MC President making her off limits. I liked the premise of the storyline even though you are waiting on the tragedy hinted at in the synopsis to happen. Hawk and Banner have tiptoed around their mutual attraction but because of his past and her status in the club they take it no further. I enjoyed seeing them deal with the realities of their new situation and that the author didn't make it all sunshine and rainbows from the start. They were stubborn and often didn't ask for help but that felt a little more realistic as we all have something to prove whether its to ourselves or others. I would like some MC action in the next one as I love all the drama and danger that brings.
Hawk & Banner deal with unimaginable loss, unexpected responsibilities, struggles, fear, insecurities just to name a few. This book took me through a roller coaster ride of emotions with the bumps, twists and turns you won’t see coming. Excellent new MC series that you won’t be able to help but love. This epilogue does end with a bang which I believe sets up for the next book in the series.
OMG, she has done it again . Ever since the end of the Heaven Hill series, I have been trying to find another like it. NOW I have. Can't wait till the next book comes out. Keep going please Laramie Briscoe.
Sacrifice by Laramie is amazing. Hawk is a newer patched member of Red Creek Renegades and knows he needs to be careful with what he does. But Banner is just someone he doesn’t know how to stay away from. Banner is the President’s daughter and is off limits to all. But Banner wants Hawk even though she knows she shouldn’t. Will something bring them together or break them even more apart? Laramie has done a wonderful job with Banner and Hawk it has been a minute since she wrote an MC story and she did not disappoint me with this story. Thank you Laramie for another amazing read.
This story has pain, grief, secrets, and heartbreak.
This is Banner and Hawk’s story. They had one night together but that should have been the end after the morning they had. But they are thrown together after a tragedy and have to make the best of it. Can they build something when they are grieving? Or should they just keep the emotions out of it? I had a hard time connecting with either of these two. Not sure what my issue was exactly but couldn’t keep connected to the story.
Oh my lord! Your going to feel a whole bunch for this story. I'm still even processing what I've read.
They are young and already have past with each other but banner and Hawk can't help but to love each other. There's so much to their story that even if I could give you a snipit I couldn't because not only does it not do it justice but this one is loaded with the feels big time.
Together your going to see hawk and banner navigate a future together that neither thought they would have. But they do and the journey they take isn't the easiest road but it is their road. And I highly recommend that you read this one and get ready for the ride because your going to want to know what happens next.
This is book one in The Red Creek Renegades Series and it is Banner and Hawk’s story and omg what a great start to a new series and definitely a must read. Hawk hasn’t had a easy life and is part of the MC and he steals cars and as a mechanic he knows just what he is doing and how fast he needs to be before anyone realised that there car had been taken and as a fully patched member of the creekers he knows how to do his job and get away with it. Banner is the president’s daughter and there are rules about doing anything with her and as she works in the law office she takes care of the MC accounts keeping everything above board and straight. Banner and Hawk are attracted to each other and there chemistry is so hot, strong and intense that it sizzles off the pages whenever they near each other but there are rules for a reason and breaking them brings strong consequences. When tragedy strikes Hawk and Banner become legal guardians to Jacob who was Hawks brother and Alyssa who was Banners best friend before they died in a accident and now everything is thrown into turmoil especially as they are trying to grieve for the most important people they had lost along with everything that Hawk and Banner had gone through recently together but now they have to live under the same roof while caring for Jacob and having no clue what to do next which just makes everything even more complicated. Wow this is only the first book in this new series and i am already addicted. This book will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions that will have you in complete tears so have those tissues ready because you are definitely going to need them with everything that was going on and the ending had me needing the next book which I can’t wait to read. Laramie Briscoe is an amazing author and writer and she will have you on the edge of your seat while turning the pages wondering what would happen next and what the outcome would be for them all. I definitely recommend you read this book and you will not be disappointed.
This book was an emotional heartfelt read with twists that will steal your breath and keep you on the edge of your seat with suspense. Hawk and Banner have grew up around each other within the MC, these two have always danced around each other for years with attraction and tension pulling them together only for Hawk to fight against it. Hawk doesn’t feel like he can ever be good enough for anyone especially Banner, but the one night that they share together is amazing he still walks away. When they are forced back in each others’ life as guardians of Hawk’s nephew they are going to have to learn a lot and try to learn to forgive each other, but that’s easier said than done.
While I loved how raw, real, emotional this story is I feel like there were a few details that were done off page that could have benefited the reader to see on page because at times it was confusing. For instance, after their night together Banner states that they haven’t seen each other in 6 months then a few pages over she says he pushed her away days ago and the biggest one that confused me was Jackson. At the beginning Banner tells her dad she loves to help out especially since he never had a son, but later on she refers to Jackson as her brother and I thought maybe it was in the mc brotherly way, but later Jackson calls the president, Racer(Banner’s dad), dad….maybe I missed some things I don’t know but it did cause me to go back and reread just to make sure.
Other than that this story is beautifully tragic that you can ignore those blips and fall in love with these characters.
I went into this with a good mindset. I was prepared after reading the author's warning and kind of knew what I was getting into. I didn't realize the book would give me whiplash at points, or that both Banner and Hawk would be so immature. Hawk was really out of his element with Banner and didn't act in the most adult manner when things hit the fan. She is working at the law office, going to school and finds time to be an author? Um, what? She is Racer's daughter and seems clueless about what goes on. She puts herself and Hawk in a bad position several times. I also had a hard time with Cassie and Racer feeling they were owed any of the information Banner was keeping to herself. She was an adult with her own apartment, and trying to live her own life. I don't think Racer and Cassie told his or her parents everything that transpired amongst them. It was ridiculous. I was also confused how Hawk knew the full story of Banner's health when she mentions several times in the book that the only one who knew was Alyssa. Parts of this book were kind of choppy and I felt like I was missing some pieces of information that would have been helpful. The epilogue was an apparent set up to book 2, but I felt like I was dropped into the middle of a story.
This is a great series starter by Laramie Briscoe who always has a way with telling stories located in small towns, and this one didn't disappoint. Hawk is a newly patched member of Red Creek Renegades and Banner is the President's forbidden daughter. These two have been flirting around one another for many years and finally Banner decides she is going to lose her virginity to Hawk when they get stuck in a cabin during a snow storm. Banner is BFF's with Alyssa who is married to Dominic, Hawk's older brother. When tragedy strikes and these two are asked to raise his nephew, these two need to figure out how they are going to accomplish that when they haven't spoken for months after the night in the cabin. They are still attracted to one another and there is so much chemistry you could feel it. At the same time it was emotional losing their loved ones and having to step. But with the MC family surrounding them with love and all the awesome secondary characters, it is setting us up for more great MC romance stories.
You can never go wrong with this author, she is definitely a one click for me and I'm invested in the next book in the series.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book will leave you wanting more, while simultaneously trying to get your emotions back under control.
Whilst definitely a biker romance, in true LB fashion, this book doesn’t pull punches and both in setting up the story, and executing it there are heartbreaking and frustrating elements as much as romantic and steamy ones.
Over the course of the book, slowly more about the history behind the two MC’s comes out and explains the hostility and animosity that is felt as well as the anger. I felt sorry for Hawk at first but then really felt angry with him. Whilst we only read about his actions after the event, I find myself not thinking of any good excuses for how he treated Banner and do think that as mature as she is, she is/has been a little blinded by her crush on Hawk and this more than anything is why she is so willing to forgive
Regardless this is a good read with some high emotions
I’m looking forward to reading more.

Banner is the club princess and as such is off limits. Hawk is a fully patched member that has been feeling things for Banner for a while, but he knows he: A) isn't good enough for her and B) she is off limits. So the two finally cross the line and when it's all said and done, Hawk makes sure that Banner knows the score and they go their separate ways. When Hawk and Banner are named guardians for Hawk's nephew, they are going to have to figure out how to make their newfound family work, or risk losing Jacob. Will they be able to overcome the issues of the past to make their future work?
A good start to a new MC series, unlike most MC series we actually start this with majority of the characters already hooked up, which makes me wonder what's in store for this club. We do get some drama, nothing too over the top. I do feel this is a bit choppy with a plot hole or two and there was a noticeable lack of spice for me. In the end this was just ok and I give this 4 stars.
Sacrifice is a fantastic start to the new Red Creek Renegades, and I'm already ALL IN! Hawk is a newly patched member of the Red Creek Renegades, and he can't help wanting his President's daughter, Banner, who is completely off limits to everyone but going against the law has very big consequences. These two are perfect for each other that's for sure, and the sparks are flying but they are doing their very best to stay away from each other, especially on Hawk's part. Things take a turn when tragedy strikes for them, and now staying away from each other is out of the question so it doesn't take long before they're breaking that cardinal rule. This story had a big emotional component to it that really did a number on my heart, and frankly, I"m still not over it at all. It's unlike most MC books that I've read which makes it super original in my eyes, and I'm super excited for more to come since I'm already in love with these men so you don't want to sleep on this story! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
A word of warning. Have a BOX of tissues handy. Not one or two. A BOX. Be prepared for tears. A LOT OF TEARS.
I don’t normally read MC romance but I LOVE Ms. Briscoe’s work. I had to give it a try. Sure enough she doesn’t let me down. I give this book 10 golden stars if I could.
WOW!!!! There were so many times when I just had to stop reading. I just couldn’t see the words anymore through the tears. The emotional roller-coaster that this book put me through. I just don’t have the words to express the profound effect it had on me. I mean these are just characters in a book but at the same time, it felt so very real.
This is told in a dual POV format. Getting a glimpse into the main characters’ thoughts really help me to better understand and connect with them. It makes for a more enjoyable read. In this case with this story, it was so very poignant, heartbreaking.
This is a sexy read so there is just a word of caution on that subject.
Laramie certainly knows how to write a story that will both break your heart then mend it. Banner and Hawk have a painful history that they are struggling to put aside for the benefit of his orphaned nephew who has been placed in their care. Hawk’s own fears and doubts about being good enough for Banner led him to reject her and deny his love for her. The resulting downward spiral was witnessed by all, including his brother and the club members who are his found family. His rejection was also the catalyst to a life changing incident for Banner that has left her feeling bereft and alone. Now, for the sake of young Jacob, she must stand beside and live with Hawk or the baby will go into the foster care system. Along with the legalities concerning custody, they have a lot of emotional baggage to sort through, both past and present. Will they be brave enough to try to make this second chance at love last for a lifetime?

3.5 Stars Sacrifice is a new MC book which will hopefully start a new series. Hawk is a Creeker and Banner is the daughter of the President of his MC. They hook up in the beginning of the book and some life-altering events occur. When Hawk’s brother and sister-in-law die, he and Banner become the guardians of their son and they will do what ever they need to for him. I liked this book, but I did have an issue with some events that happened off page and then mentioned throughout the book. I just felt like those events would have had a bigger, emotional impact on me if I read about while it was happening, not as a flashback. I did enjoy some of the tropes in this book. Marriage of convenience are always fun. Although this is supposed to be a MC book, it was more of a character driven book than motorcycle club. I do hope the author continues this series as it seems like an interesting start to the series.
Ok, this was a tough read. It's very, very sad. Part of that is revealed in the blurb, and part is revealed in the trigger warning, so you know going into it you'll need tissues!
There are some great characters, and I love the friendships and family and found family that are highlighted. I adore how Hawk & Banner work together for Jacob! The way their relationship has ups & downs & conversations they have about everything are very real and raw and emotional. I hated the REASONS behind some of the decisions they made, and wish those things weren't part of their story. (Tissues!!)
I love this author's work in general, but this series might be a little too dark (for me - it's not a "dark romance" per se, & others might not find it dark at all!). I'll still more than likely give the second book a shot, tho, because I do feel emotionally invested in this family saga! And THAT is excellent story telling!
Let me start off by saying I love the Heaven Hill series, like die hard fan. So reading another MC story, I was hesitant. But Ibwas pleasantly surprised with this story. Hawk and Banner are a great start to this series. Banner a young lady coming into her own, learning about who she is and what wants in life. Hawk a biker, who has always felt less than, always trying to measure up. They make an unlikely couple, except they perfect for each other. They are thrust into an impossible situation and the only way they can make it, is by coming together as a team and forming an unbreakable bond. Luckily through this whole situation, they have their MC family who are willing to help each and every step. The Red Creek Renegades is going to be a great series, with memorable characters, who with only the first book, already has peaked my interested and has me wanting the next installment. You won't be disappointed!
I have missed Laramie’s MC stories. I was worried I was going to end up comparing it to Heaven Hill and ruin the experience for myself. However, one chapter in and I wasn’t thinking about Heaven Hill at all, it was all about the Red Creek Renegades. This book had me going through so many emotions. I was not prepared for what happened at all. I think it was well written and enjoyed the second chance romance mixed with found family. I do wish we had gotten more background on Hawk and Banner’s past, like a prologue chapter that goes into it. Other than that, I loved these new characters and can’t wait to be a part of the Red Creek Renegades. I definitely need more after that cliffhanger for the next book. (Hawk and Banner get their HEA, the cliffhanger is more for the plot of the next book).
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
This is the story of Hawk and Banner. They both come from a past that keeps hurting her. However tragedy is about to bring them together again. Hawk is a newly patched member of the Red Creek Renegades. Banner is the daughter of the president of the club. These two are not allowed to have anything to do with each other. Club Rules and her dad would have a cow. However these two have some serious chemistry going on and when they are together your kindle just might overheat. They only have one night together as Hawk regrets it. But when fate throws them together again. Look out the emotions and the sparks are going to be flying all over the place. I loved this book. It was a grat read and I can't wait to see what the rest of the series brings.
This is the first in a new series, and this is Hawk and Banner’s story. Hawk is an MC member who does not have much in his life, but he treasures his family. Banner is off limits and is the daughter of the president of the MC. When Hawk’s brother and sister-in-law are tragically killed, Hawk and Banner are left as joint guardians of his little nephew, and they need to live together to raise him. This is a beautifully written action packed, emotional roller coaster, with loss, grief, family, friendships, forbidden love, healing, and leads to an entertaining, hunting, unpredictable, tragic, and steamy addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
If Hawk knows anything about the Red Creek Renegades MC that he is part of it is that he needs to keep his distance from the President’s daughter. When he gives into temptation, he believes the best course of action is to not repeat it no matter how much he wants to but that all changes when a devastating loss changes his life.
Banner is hurt by Hawk’s response to their time together, but she is determined to move forward. When they share a devastating loss they must work together to protect a person they both love and that means facing their pasts both when they were together and apart.
Full of emotion Banner and Hawk take us on quite the journey that includes surprises, steam and healing from the past.
Sacrifice is the first book in The Red Creek Renegades, a new series by Laramie Briscoe. It is a emotional read with gritty realism. We are introduced to the members of the Red Creek MC and this story centers on club princess Banner and patched member Hawk. They have unresolved history when they are named guardians of a young child. In addition to dealing with the grief of their loss, they must navigate everyday life with new and overwhelming responsibilities. For it to work, one must decide if they can forgive, the other has to decide if they have the courage to stand up for what they want.
