Everything you need to know to fight RA is in this book--powerful new drugs, new surgical techniques, easy exercises to restore flexibility and alternative therapies to ease your symptoms.
This is a very easy to read book for people who don't have a medical background. I have found it very helpful since I have been diagnosed with RA shortly after my daughter was born. It covers a wide array of topics that people with RA have to deal with and things that can help them.
The Internet has rendered this book obsolete. At least for passionate surfers like me. It still has good, basic information, though. I'd go so far as to state that it should be required for anyone who has been diagnosed with any type of inflammatory arthritis.
I'm kicking myself that I didn't read this a few years ago. This book is a good introduction to what is going on in your arthritic body, what you can expect to happen, and the many different treatment options you have.
We are dealing with what we believe to be RA, so this was a good overview. Easy read. Seems well organized. Good review of drugs, especially side effects. Already doing exercises and other quality-of-life exercises but for someone who is not, there are good recommendations.
Since being diagnosed with RA; this has been a comprehensive read for me. It helps me understand what my body is doing and how to help it through the beginning stages of my illness.
A good read for those trying to understand their disease. It covers well all aspects of the disease. Most helpful to me is the sections on fatigue and stretching.
