Hometown Reunion (Bravo Family Ties Book 22)
5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The newest Bravo book by Christine Rimmer, Hometown Reunion, does not disappoint! This was another phenomenal story by Christine Rimmer. As with any book wrote by her you know it will be good. I loved all the characters and how they supported each other, and especially enjoyed the romance that developed between high school sweethearts Hunter and Jobeth. Right from the start the author caught my attention and drew me into the story. I laughed, cried , sighed and at times wanted shake them. This author draws you into the book and has you experiencing everything right along with the characters. The descriptions were well done and so easy to visualize. I felt like i was standing there and very much part of the story. The pacing of the story was neither too slow nor too fast. There was a smooth flow to the whole book and it had a satisfying ending... I highly recommend this book and all of her other books if you love romance. You really can't go wrong no matter which book of hers you pick up.

I really should know better than to start a Christine Rimmer book at night. I could not put this one down until I finished it around 4 a.m.; it was that good! This book is about Jobeth Bravo, who first made her appearance as a little girl in Practically Married (May 1998 - Silhouette). Now she is all grown up and ready for her own HEA.

Sixteen years earlier, Jobeth and Hunter were high school sweethearts. But Hunter couldn't wait to leave Medicine Creek and escape the memories of his home life, leaving town right after graduation. He wanted Jobeth to go with him, but she refused to leave her home and family behind. Hunter is now the successful host of a home improvement show and has brought that show to his hometown for a summer of filming.

Jobeth doesn't know how she feels about Hunter's return. Though she was heartbroken when he left, surely, she is over him by now? They've both been married and divorced, and she's recently adopted a little girl. So, when her dad asks if it would bother her if Hunter stayed at the ranch house, she swears it would be fine. Only it wasn't. Even after all these years, she couldn't forget the pain of her heartbreak, so she tried to avoid him - not easy with him living in her parents' house.

Hunter was wary of his return to Medicine Creek. His memories of his life there are wrapped up in his mother's death, his father's drinking, and his perception of how the town looked at him. The best memories are those he made with Jobeth, except for his regret over how they parted. He looks forward to seeing her again. He knows rekindling their relationship isn't possible - their lives are still too far apart. But he'd like to feel as though they could be friends again.

I enjoyed watching the development of Hunter and Jobeth's relationship. Jobeth spent the first week or so doing everything she could to avoid seeing him. Hunter didn't let that go on for long, eventually showing up on her doorstep. I liked that they cleared the air over their past, each admitting to some regrets. Underneath the tentative renewal of their friendship was an attraction that was even stronger than it had been when they were young. Though they tried to ignore it, eventually, it became too much. They believe they can indulge themselves for Hunter's remaining time there without risking their hearts because they know nothing can come of it. Of course, we all know how that is going to go.

There are some wonderful scenes in Wyoming. I loved seeing Hunter with little Paisley and his encounters with people who "knew him when." I loved seeing how distance and maturity changed his perception of those people. Hunter also talks Jobeth into visiting LA with him and introduces her to his life there. I loved seeing Hunter embrace his growing feelings and sensed a determination in him to find a way to make it work. But Jobeth panics over her feelings for Hunter and pushes him away. I ached for both as they faced the prospect of history repeating itself. Their struggle is heartbreaking, and I was rooting for them to find a way to overcome their obstacles.

The ending was terrific, though a piece of Jobeth's past created some unexpected drama. Seeing her and Hunter realize that anything is possible if they put love first was great.

I liked seeing more of Starr Bravo Tisdale (Fifty Ways to Say I'm Pregnant) and how her life has progressed since her story. I look forward to more stories of the next generation of Bravos. I got quite a chuckle from Jobeth explaining her extensive family connections to one of Hunter's friends.

Jobeth “Jo” Bravo’s high school sweetheart left sixteen years ago and broke her heart. She thought that she has moved on. Jo is about to realize that maybe she hasn’t. Hunter Bartley left his high school sweetheart behind when he left town. He’s a successful TV show host of the show Renovations by Bartley. Hunter’s show brings him home to remodel several buildings. These two high school sweethearts just may realize that they weren’t as over each other as they thought. A Hometown Reunion may just bring these two former lovers together.

Hometown Reunion is the latest story in Christine Rimmer’s Bravo Family Ties series. The story if former high school sweethearts who are brought back together when Hunter Bartley returns to his hometown to renovate several buildings. He wants some type of relationship with his former love whether it be just friends or more. Jobeth Bravo isn’t so sure about reconnecting because she doesn’t want to be hurt like when he left. After her divorce she thought never to have another relationship. Hometown Reunion brings back familiar characters and gives a much-loved Bravo her own happy story. Christine Rimmer revisits the Bravo family living at the Rising Sun Ranch. Two people who think they may have moved on from their past figure out that might not be the truth. A short affair that’s supposed to end when he goes back to his life may just not be the end that they thought. Their lives will be forever changed when the love they had as teenagers comes back stronger sixteen years later. Christine Rimmer’s Hometown Reunion adds a lot of romance, a little danger, and a cute baby that gives the reader a new generation of Bravos to look forward to. A close-knit family who stands behind and meddle in the life of their loved ones. A man who realizes that his family did the best they could when he was a child should be forgiven for their absence. A must read for Christine Rimmer fans and especially of her Bravo series will find familiar faces and a popular character in past stories gets her happily ever after finally that fans will love. This reader smiled, cried, and cheered for these two find their way back to each other and work through their issues both personally and together.

A Can’t Put Down, Heart-gripping Story!

I was so excited to get this book! Little JoBeth Bravo, who first made her appearance as a little girl in Practically Married is finally getting her own book and HEA.

JoBeth and Hunter were high school sweethearts 16 years ago and they thought they would be together forever, until Hunter left Medicine Creek, Wyoming. JoBeth wanted to stay working on the family horse ranch, but Hunter wanted to leave town. Eventually, they both married and divorced and JoBeth adopted a little girl. Hunter has gone on to star in a successful home improvement show and JoBeth is doing what she loves most: working the ranch with her dad and raising her adopted daughter. Hunter’s show brings him home to Medicine Creek when the network decides to do a “Hunter Comes Home” series to do renovations and he needs a place to stay. When JoBeth’s dad invites Hunter to stay at the ranch, this creates long-buried emotions to come to the surface and JoBeth and Hunter both start asking themselves if they really are over and done.

They both try to stick to the old friends routine, hanging out and spending time together and talking through past hurts. Will the time spent together be enough for these two hearts to mend, or will they go back to their lives content with friendship and repairing their relationship of old?

Once again, Ms. Rimmer has created a beautiful story that was hard to put down and I was sad to see it end. You need to read this one for yourself, now, without delay!

I was so excited to get this book! Little JoBeth Bravo getting her own book and HEA. I remember her 20+ years ago in another Christine Rimmer book...now she's all grown up!

When Hunter Bartley and JoBeth Bravo were in high school, they thought they'd be together forever. Hunter left, and his leaving tore a hole in JoBeth's heart. Hunter and JoBeth went on to try to live their lives, but their marriages to other people just didn't work out. Hunter is now a home improvement television star and JoBeth is doing what she loves, working the ranch with her dad and her adopted baby daughter.

The network decides to do a 'Hunter comes home' series that has him returning to his hometown to do some renovations. JoBeth doesn't know how to take this. Is she over him? Is he over her? Can they be in the same town and just be old friends? Will the time between when Hunter comes to town and when he leaves be enough for these two broken hearts to mend, or will they go back to their real lives just happy they had this time together.

Ms. Rimmer takes this premise and runs with it. There is angst between JoBeth and Hunter as they run into each other. JoBeth's first husband was Hunter's enemy...how did that happen?? Sweet baby Paisley is just too cute. So many angles that Ms. Rimmer weaves skillfully into another lovely book. It looks like there will be more of this 'second generation' of Bravo's! I can't wait!

I am so thrilled to to be back in Medicine Creek and revisiting The Bravo family in Hometown Reunion by my favorite author Christine Rimmer!!! Hunter Bartley and Jobeth Bravo were teenage sweethearts that had to part so Hunter could follow his dreams in California.
Now, Hunter had returned home to Medicine Creek to promote his home renovation show and to possibly reunite with his long lost love Jobeth. Both Hunter Jobeth have changed dramatically over the last 16 years but their feelings are just as strong. Can they overcome the heartbreak of the past and the differences in their lives to finally find love once and for all?
Rimmer brilliantly creates wonderful, complex, heartbreaking characters that you will love. Jobeth is a country girl through and through and loves the Bravo ranch she lives on. She cherishes raising her beautiful daughter close to her family. Hunter is a passionate, loving man but his life is based in L.A. a thousand miles away from Jobeth's Wyoming ranch and her family. Can the love and passion they have for one another overcome the obstacles in their way?
Christine Rimmer's books will grab you by the heart. Her characters will captivate you. You will fall in love with Medicine Creek and the characters in Christine Rimmer's new romance Hometown Reunion. I am so thrilled to be visiting Medicine Creek again and the wonderful Bravos! You will love Hometown Reunion whether you are a new to Christine Rimmer's gorgeous passionate romances or a long time fan. I can't wait for the next romance in the Bravo series!!!

JoBeth and Hunter 16 years ago were high school sweethearts until Hunter left Medicine Creek, Wyoming. JoBeth wanted to stay working on the family horse ranch but Hunter wanted to leave town.

They both have married and divorced and JoBeth adopted a little girl.

Hunter runs a successful Home Improvement show which he brings to Medicine Creek. He needs a place to stay and JoBeth's dad asks her if she minds his staying at the ranch. She is long over him and moved on in life, so she says it won't bother her.

Hunter dosen't have fond memories of his life in Medicine Creek other than with JoBeth. He is unsure how his return will go. He is looking forward to getting to see JoBeth again, tho he realizes the opportunity of a possible rekindling of their relationship is nil.

Though JoBeth tried to avoid him, Hunter shows up and they talk through their past, each admitting to regrets about their past together. They hang out as friends while he is in town, but deep down they are falling more in love than they had been in prior. He even persuades her to come to visit Los Angeles and see his life there.

This is a beautifully written story that is hard to put down.

To find out if they work through their differences and past or if they part ways again, you need to read this book for yourself.

JoBeth Bravo and Hunter Bartley were in love in high school but it was never meant to be. She was to meant stay in Medicine Creek, Wyoming and Hunter was meant to leave. Years later Bad boy, Hunter returns. He’s successful and is a really good guy. He is shooting episodes of his show, and remodeling certain places in his hometown. That means JoBeth will for sure run into him especially since he’s staying at her family’s ranch. Will JoBeth run the opposite way every time she sees him? They both never stopped thinking of each other over the years. Hunter broke her heart and is still angry about it. He couldn’t stand that the town judged him because his father was an alcoholic and that’s why he left. Will he succeed in helping the town out? Will they resent him? Will Hunter and JoBeth finally put the past behind them? JoBeth has a daughter and she has to think of her. Can they learn to trust again? Will Hunter realize that this is home and it’s where he belongs? He is happiest there, along with the people who has always loved him. This couple is sweet, loving and caring and who deserves a second chance at love and family.

Yet another wonderful book by this author that I couldn't put down. I love this storyline for you can loose yourself for hours in this book and don’t start it late in the evening or at night. The book features Jobeth Bravo, who 1st appeared in Practically Married, who is now all grown up.

16 Years earlier she and Hunter were high school sweethearts. Hunter felt like nothing was tying him down and decided to leave Medicine Creek after graduation. Now being the host of a home improvement show, Hunter is now successful and has come home for the Summer to film for the Season. Or course a lot can happen in the 16 years apart from dating. Can they pick up where they left off or is it too late for them?

I truly recommend this book and looking forward to the next of the Bravo Family Ties for the characters are wonderfully drawn up and the author Christine Rimmer will keep you entertained for hours as time flies cause her books you can’t put down until you get to the back page for, they are fast paced and love, love her style of writing.

Christine Rimmer does it again! This book is a smooth story line that keeps you connected the entire time. Jobeth & Hunter were HS sweethearts 16 years ago until Hunter moved away right after graduation. Jobeth refused to go with him due to family and home. Fast forward to present day and Hunter has returned to his hometown, successful with his home improvement show and Jobeth’s Dad allows him to stay at the family home. Jobeth is older and with a daughter now but those heartstrings are fully intact between them. She tries to avoid him in the beginning but the natural love they have for each other pull them closer. They clear the air between each other about the past but Jobeth puts her walls up at one point when things become a bit too close. Hunter now that he is older and wiser finally sees Medicine Creek in a different light but is it all enough to bring the former sweethearts back together permanently? You have to read to find out how this beautifully written story proceeds and ends. You will not be able to put this down so you have been forewarned.

I enjoyed this book and it was nice to be back with the Bravo family again.
We meet Jobeth, who in her teenage years loved Hunter Bradley but not enough to move away with his when he left Medicine Creek. Now Hunter is back and staying in the main house of Rising Sun Ranch, with her parents, as he films for his TV series. Jobeth is supposedly happy with this arrangement but is doing all she can to avoid Hunter but she can't hide forever.
When they do meet up they find that they can talk and be friendly but can they recapture what they had as teenagers and at what cost?
There was some angst for both Hunter and Jobeth, also Hunter has to learn to see himself as others see him and not as he thought they saw him as a child and teenager.
I really liked the interplay between Jobeth and Hunter. The deep love that Jobeth's family had for her and her adopted daughter Paisley was well written and shone through. Paisley was such a cute character.
The plot was well written and made for a good read.

We first met Jobeth Bravo in the 1990s when the first Bravo book, "The Nine-Month Marriage," came out. We've seen her in other Bravo books over the years. Now we get to read her story.

Hometown....he wouldn't come back and she wouldn't leave.

Hunter left after high school and didn't come back to Medicine Creek. He made it big in California as a home improvement star. Jobeth stayed home on the family ranch. Both married others and are now divorced.

Reunion...Hunter is back in town to tape a few episodes of his show. He is staying at the main ranch house with Jobeth's parents, hoping to regain the closeness he and Jobeth once shared. Jobeth has her own house at the ranch and really wants to avoid Hunter.

Buy your own copy of this lively, entertaining book by Christine Rimmer and settle back in your favorite chair to read how Hunter Bartley and Jobeth Bravo manage this Reunion.

Jobeth Bravo and Hunter Bartley have a long history together. They were high school sweethearts but Hunter only had one thing on his mind after graduation and that was getting as far away as he could from Medicine Creek. Jobeth wouldn't go with him. Fast forward, Hunter is back in town to film his home improvement show and there is no way Jobeth can avoid him since he is staying at her family ranch. They say time heals all wounds, well that may be true but the heart wants what the heart wants to. These two have to get past the past in order to get to the present and the future. I hope you enjoy this story as much as I did. Throw in a cantankerous cat and an adorable baby and anything can happen!

Hometown Reunion by Christine Rimmer is a part of her Bravo Family Ties series. I was so excited that Ms. Rimmer is writing again in this series. JoBeth Bravo lost her high school sweetheart when he moved away. Sixteen years later Hunter returns to town to film his successful television series. Will they pick up where they left off? Will she put her life aside for the man she’s always loved?

Hometown Reunion was a fabulous read. I so enjoyed returning to the Bravo family and I hope Ms. Rimmer finds a way to keep this series going. I highly recommend this book and any of her Bravo family books. I received an advance copy which I chose to read and review. This is my honest opinion.

So enjoyed returning to this part of the Bravo family. The unexpected reunion of former sweethearts Jobeth Bravo and Hunter Bartley brings a swirl of memories, both pleasant and bittersweet. So much has changed since Hunter left and now he’s going to be around for months and living in the main ranch house on Jobeth’s parents’ ranch while working on improvement projects around town and one on the ranch. Hunter being around bothers Jobeth more than she thought. Even though she realizes she still loves him, she doesn’t want to leave her hometown anymore than she did when he broke her heart by leaving years before. No spoilers so read to find out how these two strong people work out their relationship. I love how Christine always writes strong heroines!

Hunter and Jobeth were friends since high school. They did almost everything together. Then when he decided to leave home and get away from the bad memories of his family life, she decided she wasn't going anywhere.

Now he is back in town and doing a Hometown show remodeling certain aspects of their town for his TV show. He runs into JoBeth and will they pick up where they left off? Will they work it out this time so they can have a happy ending?

Read the book, you will be glad you did As usual Christine RImmer spins a tale that you won't want to put down and when you do, you feel like your friends have left you. Awesome book.

The newest Bravo book by Christine Rimmer, Hometown Reunion, doesnt disappoint!! Jobeth Bravo’s first love, Hunter Bartely, has come home. Thrown together by proximity, he’s staying at her family’s ranch, their chemistry hasn’t dimmed from high school. Hunter knows there’s a timeline but new mom, Jobeth, of an adopted baby girl, is some he’s never forgotten even if they were both married. Christine brings the same powerful family values and hot chemistry she’s always delivered in the Bravo series. I’m LOVING this new series.

I love this book. It's the latest in the Christine Rimmer's Bravo Series. It features the story of Jobeth Bravo (we met Jobeth early in the series as a child and she's been mentioned several times throughout the series), and Hunter Bartley. The two were in love before Hunter left town and now that he is back, they have a rekindling of their former feelings. Journey back to Medicine Creek and follow their story as they find a way back to one other. This book can be read as a stand alone.

This is a truly beautiful story of two adults who part ways to pursue goals and to try to move on. When all is said and done, you'll fall in love with Jobeth, Hunter and baby Paisley! It's rare, but second chances take risk and sacrifice. Read it for yourself and see what happens in the end! Christine has a true gift reaching and tugging at your heart strings with endless stories of love, loss, and survival that leave you wanting more every time!

What a delightful read this was. JoBeth and her family were a delight in earlier Christine Rimmer books, and the family and characters didn't disappoint here. Learning that sometimes we can make a mistake in the past and have an opportunity to correct it is a wonderful lesson. Great characters and story line. Look forward to many more Bravo books.
