This was another fun instalment in the Unconventional Agent Beaufont series. I love how Paris's family and friends all rally in to help out. With Jackson Zelle on the loose, Paris needs to save a town before it's too late. In normal fashion, it's not that simple and Paris undertakes a couple of adventures to get the ingredients needed for the antidote...and just when you think things will turn out, another twist comes along. Paris is also still trying to fix the feud between Subfar and Subner and this was another adventure in itself. I love the banter between Mother Nature and Father Time, it continues to amuse.
Jackson Zelle is up to his old tricks trying to destroy love. His newest target is the town where his mother came from. Everyone has become nihilistic which has caused the love meter to bottom out in the town.
It's up to Pare and Fare to find a solution and revive everyone from their zombie like state.
Paris also has to sort out the Subner and Subfar problem, so she enlists Sophia and Lunis to help.
Action, snark and really bad jokes makes this a great read - and yes, I did cry at the end (again lol)
Paris and Faraday have to go through many hoops, in order to save a whole town from Nihilism.
In order to do this, Paris turns to her loved ones, both family and friends, to get their help to obtain the rare ingredients, that will go into a solution, that Faraday will create, to vaccine the people, animals, water, and land, affected by this awful lack of emotion.
I think that the one thing I love most about Paris, is that she's still humble enough to acknowledge that she needs help, in order to continue to do the things needed, to keep the Love Meter from dropping low.
Once again, she is having to complete many tasks at once, in order to further Love's path for so many people, and she leans a lot on those people around her, who hold the same views on life, Love, and how it keeps our World turning.
This series seems to get better with every single book I read in it, and I'm thoroughly enjoying Paris' emotional journeying, too, where she is having to face up to some painful truths of her life, in order to find the happiness that she works so hard to make sure everyone else has.
Unfortunately, I'm almost at the end of this series, but I do still have others that Sarah wrote, before these ones, to read.
I'll be going straight on now, to book eight: The Courageous Believer, in order to find out if, or when, Paris manages to take down her nemesis.
So I'll see you on the flip side, to let you know what I think,!
This is yet another fantastic addition to this incredible series. Paris is one of my favourite Beaufonts though I do love them all!! She’s a cracking agent whose only mission is to save love and get funding and i dare anyone to stand in her way. Even when a small town finds itself in danger Paris dives in to solve the mystery and save the day. Suspenseful, mysterious, fun and twists and turns galore, this is one hell of an adventure and one hell of a ride. The authors do such a great job not only with the storyline but also with the world building so much so that you find yourself lost into this world to fight for love alongside these incredible characters.
The Affectionate Monster(The Unconventional Agent Beaufont Book 7)
Wel!, I have to say that I'm really loving this series of books on Agent Beaufont of the FGA! I am so excited about her adventures that I can hardly put them down! Sarah Bottle is an awesome author who can really tell a story that engages her audience. All I can say is Thank You Sarah for sharing your gift with us all! If you get the chance you should get the whole series books 1-9, and read them all!
Once again Sarah and Michael had me immersed in the Paris world. As she saved more love and went on both scary and mysterious adventures. Watching her inspire her unusual employees is a lot of fun. Enjoy!
