Filthy Wicked Psychos #2

Beautiful Devils

Rate this book
The thrilling second book in the Filthy Wicked Psychos series!

Note: The blurb below contains spoilers for the first book, so I'd recommend not reading it until you've finished book one, Twisted Game. You've been warned!

They claimed my heart… only to break it.

After spending years feeling like I never fit in anywhere, I thought I had found a place where I might truly belong. With the Voronin brothers.

By their sides.
In their beds.
A part of their lives.

But none of it was real. Malice, Victor, and Ransom showed me a side of myself I never knew existed, taught me to embrace the darkness I once tried to hide from…. and then proved that they see me the same way everyone else does.

They lied to me. They used me.

And now it’s not just my heart that’s in danger.

It’s my life.

Beautiful Devils is a full-length new adult romance with dark themes, damaged anti-heroes, and high heat. It is book two of four in the series.

Miss Eva Ashwood ate and left no crumbs yet again. I had been dying to pick up after where the first book had left off - so much so that I woke up at the ass crack of dawn to get an ARC😂 (SO WORTH IT THO!) Ngl, but I gobbled this shit up in a little over 12 hours because it was so fucking good. The character development - especially for Mal - in this book was top tier. I was so happy that we got to see a different side to Vic as well. Not to mention the fact that Willow became even more badass and grew into herself throughout the story. As usual, Ransom was his charming old self and had me swooning and (s)creaming haha😏

No shit but that cliffhanger and plot twist towards the end got me like😭🤯😧. Need me the third book ASAP. I don't know how I'm gonna survive until it comes out ajshjsksksk😩 On a serious note tho, it's safe to say that Eva Ashwood has become one of my fav authors - specifically fav RH author - and I look forward to seeing Willow, Mal, Ransom and Vic's story progress💗

*A massive thank you to Eva Ashwood for providing me with an ARC of Beautiful Devils🤎

3.5 - 4 stars!

Beautiful Devils is book two in this series. Malice, Ransom, and Victor are trying to right the wrongs and keep Willow in their lives.

“I never wanted a woman to be mine before,” he murmurs gruffly. “Never wanted a woman to be ours. Until I met you.”

Willow is strong and stands up for herself even in the face of adversity. Malice, Ransom, and Victor are falling for the lovely Willow and they’ll stop at nothing to make sure she knows how much she’s worth to them. Willow is slowly seeing the real men behind their masks and she likes what she sees.

“I bet every man in this place wishes he was me or my brothers right now. But too bad for them, you’re already spoken for. You’re already fucking claimed, aren’t you?”

Twists and turns galore and another cliffhanger. This was super steamy and I enjoyed it. I don’t want to give too much away because it will ruin the story but if you liked book one, you’ll enjoy this one as well.

4⭐️ 3.5🌶️

A bit slower than the first book but loving this series still so much
Perfect dark new adult romance
✔️why choose
✔️underground crime/mafia esque
✔️ obsessive mmc’s
✔️stalking

Honestly, Victor’s character is up there with my one of fav mmc’s even if I didn’t like the plot I would keep reading for him! I find his character so interesting, I love his quirks so so much, I love that he was OCD and is super sensitive with it and his rituals, tech geek, can’t lose control, won’t even touch Willow because that’s too much ‘chaos’ for him to handle with his emotions, but the relationship he has with her and the way he really opens up when they speak on the phone till she falls asleep, or text each other in the day I just love them 🥰

I knewwwww she (trying to keep it spoiler free) was dodgy, it took so long for it to come to fruition I was almost questioning myself but I will say that I pretty knew the ‘twist’ from the moment she came along in that sense.
And her whole villain monologue at the end I wasn’t the biggest fan of, hate when they do that 😑

Solid 4 stars for book two 🙌🏼

The second book isn’t as fun. If it’s a stand alone, I don’t mind just surface level, entertaining read but when it’s a four book series, I need more. There was no depth or development here. The plot was boring and there was no reason for guys’ obsession with Willow. There were some more serious and emotional conversations they had with each other but it always felt just a little disconnected. First book was decent but I don’t think I’d enjoy this series going forward.

I had mixed feelings about the story, especially when it came to Willow’s character. She often caved in to the brothers' demands, even when her own mind was clearly telling her not to, which left me wishing for more resistance on her part. It’s frustrating when a female protagonist is so caught up in lust that it clouds her ability to make sound decisions. Usually, this author creates women who are assertive, confident, and wouldn't let anyone treat them poorly, so I was hoping to see Willow carry that same energy. While her gentle and compassionate nature had its charm, it also made her vulnerable to being taken advantage of by almost everyone—whether it was the brothers, her mom, or even her peers at school. On top of that, the twist involving her grandmother didn’t surprise me; it was too easy to predict that they’d be connected somehow, and it was kind of a downer that Willow lost both her mom and her newfound wonderful grandmother in a single day. Although I enjoyed watching the three brothers grow as characters, their connection with Willow just felt off and didn’t fully land for me.

For all the readers who are just waiting for a morally gray anti-hero to put them on their knees and murmur… “That’s my good girl.”

Nothing but dick and drama…

Uhhh I really like this series but my god, this one just dragged on and was a bit too repetitive for my liking. I mean I love drama but Jesus Christ, how many times does she have to get kidnapped, nearly killed or have a fight with one of the brothers for the sake of NOTHING!? Let’s not mention the little wrinkly old twist that we could all see coming🙄

Victor, Victor, Victor…. Why am I so obsessed with you!?? His quirky personality and habits make me happy because he is just beautiful!! The fact that we got to see some tiny steps that were MASSSSSSIVE for him was so cute! I love watching him slowly come out of his shell when it comes to Willow!!

Still plentyyyyy of spice but I just felt like this one was mostly about dick and drama… hoping book 3 is a little better then this one 🫠

You all should already know how much I love Eva Ashwood and anything she writes, and this one did NOT disappoint. It not only met my expectations but EXCEEDED them.
Beautiful Devils picks up right where Twisted Game left off, and she gives you literally zero seconds to take a breath. There’s nonstop action, spice, plot twists and even more incredible character development than the first! I literally loved every single word.
I’m still loving Willow’s character, and all of the guys are still some of my favorites that Eva has written (I’m not sure if any are going to top River’s men but they are slowly closing that gap.)
This one does end on a cliff hanger... and I need that next book asap please. definitely recommend!

*as always, check the CWs, this is dark romance.*

Book: DNF @ chapter 21

This is the second time a second book of a RH series missed the mark. I am not caring about these characters anymore and it’s just getting boring. Maybe I’ll find a RH series that will keep me entertained longer than 1 book 😂

Beautiful Devils is book two in a why choose trilogy, so be forewarned it ends in a cliffhanger. That being said; I love it so much!

We are thrown right back into the action… and if you haven’t read book one this is your warning to stop reading my review and read Twisted Game. Malice, Victor, and Ransom are desperately looking for Willow after she disappeared from their home. Now this is the point where I would expand and give you all the reasons I loved Beautiful Devils, but if I did that, I would spoil it for you. I hope that is sufficient for me to tell you that this one has many twists that will keep you glued to the pages. Plus, the spice… it’s just delicious. A worthwhile read that has me eagerly anticipating the conclusion.

I can confidently say that this is my favorite series this year. I was soooo looking forward to Beautiful Devils and fuck, did it deliver! Delivered hard and I can't wait for Corrupt Vow. There was no ramp up needed as it picked right off from book one. Oh the feels in here was even better and I couldn't get enough.

All the elements that I adore in a story were present, including:
Character development: Willow is still in the self-discovery phase of her life and you can clearly see her growing into her own with the choices and experiences she goes through.

Relationship development: Much progress between Willow and the brothers occurs here and it is so well done. It feels organic and there was no 'how did that happen?' type of moments. Malice made a huge impression on me from the get-go and he's on my top tier H. Ransom and Vic are also no slouches and they all fit with Willow in their own unique way. No complaints.

Plot: Great pacing and a LOT happened here. Willow and the guys had very little chill time, it seems, but oh the down time was hot 👍. That twist at the end too.. man… poor Willow.

Highly recommend this series if you're looking for a hot, dark contemporary RH.

Similarly to a few other reviews I’ve read, I really wanted Willow to have more of a backbone. She gave into the brothers way way too easily, multiple times, when her inner monologue kept repeating about how she “knew she shouldn’t but couldn’t help it”. I’m really not a fan of when a FMC is so sexually charged that it’s all they care about and can’t see past it. Usually this author writes bad ass FMCs who would turn the tables on any man before letting them treat her any type of negative way. While I can appreciate the softness and good hearted nature of Willow, she still lets WAY too many people take advantage of her, including the guys, her mom, classmates, etc.

Also, I hate to say it but I kind of saw the twist with her grandmother coming. There was just no way it wasn’t connected and it was kind of a bummer that Willow lost her mom and her new found “nice” grandmother in one day. I truly do love the three brothers and their development for the most part, but something about the combination of them with Willow is off for me.

Ok.
I had suspicions and theories, but they did not align in quite the same way that ending did.
So that’s fun.
I’m really liking how the relationships are progressing. There’s been a lot of growth since the first book. (And, thank god, no OW scenes)
I’m feeling like this next book might contain a bunch of bullshit though. With it being book 3 and all…
Anyway.

Im gonna go read some more so that ending isn’t the last thing on my mind before bed.

4/5 ☆
the first one was definitely the best one, but this one also kept me on my toes! especially the ending 🤯 def has more plot than spice, but at least it’s entertaining 🤷🏼‍♀️

i do recommend reading/listening back to back because it really does pick up right where the last book stops

i’m so obsessed with this series it’s not even funny 🫠 i also can’t decide on which brother i like more 🤭 malice is hot af with the bad boy vibes, victor is so quiet and mysterious with his own issues, but still shows he loves willow in his own way, and ransom is giving the nice neighbor boy next door, but has a naughty side no one knows about 😮‍💨

i really hope this series doesn’t get overdone since it’s a 4 book series about the same people …

Beautiful Devils

I Give this Book a 5/5 Star Rating

Cliffhanger(?): Yes! 😍
Relationship Type: MFMM
Heat: 3/5, this book is more plot driven, and is essential to the storyline.
Romance: 4.5/5
Pacing: Mid.
Dark(?): Dark Lite> 2/5
Drama & Suspense: 5/5, adding these two together cause they were both so impactful and the book was absolutely captivating! I was stunned about a few things that happened within this book, and I was thrilled and floored! 🤩🤩

I’m highly anticipating the book!!!

Okay it took me a little longer to finish this book than I usually would. But it was mainly because my mind was really cloudy with work stuff, I think. I had some trouble getting through it at the beginning of the book because it felt really slow to me and not much was happening. But my friend told me I had to keep reading so I did. And I'm soooo happy I continued! Because it ended up being amazing 💖

I fell back in love with the Voronin brothers and while Ransom was 100% my favourite brother in the first book, now I'm not sure anymore! We saw a new side to Malice which I really loved. He finally showed his true feelings about Willow and I really loved that. Secretly he has a softer side and ahhhh I'm here for it 🫶🏻

I really started loving Vic more, too. I mean, THAT KISS?!!! Holy hell 🥵 I'm happy to see that he's finally letting go a little and I can't wait to see how it progresses in the third book. I wish we got a little more of his POV, though, because I felt like it wasn't much and mostly his chapters were about the technical stuff and X.

I actually wish we got more chapters from each of the brothers, because those are always my favourite and I felt like we got just a way higher percentage of Willow's dialogue than the brothers and I found myself getting a little bored with Willow sometimes. She's really sweet and plain but I kind of like my FMC's a tad more badass and mouthy 🫢 But I have a feeling that she will grow as a person after everything she's been through and we'll see her progress in the third book.

And then Ransom 🫠🫠🫠 I just love him so much. I think he's the perfect mixture of rough and sweet, and that's exactly what I want in a MC. He's also extremely sexy and his dirty talk has me 🥵🥵

I just love them all, okay? I wish I was Willow because I'd gladly take all three, thank you very much. Preferably all at once 😏😈

And the ending!!! Damn. I felt from the beginning like something was up with Willow's grandmother and I was right! What a bitch! Can't wait to see how the brothers and Willow are going to get themselves out of this mess. I hope they kill the bitch 🤪

Disappointing

I had high hopes after the first book but this book was such a let down. It was so boring. I literally started to just scroll through a couple pages at a time because I just wanted to be done with it. Don't get me wrong I like smut just as much as the next person but that is all that happened in the book. it got a little obnoxious.

I almost quit reading it after how fast she forgave the guys after she found out the put cameras in her house, made a sex tape of her and sent it to someone they didn't even know. They didn't do anything to apologize, nothing to show her she should forgive them but the second they are around she sleeps with them and everything is forgiven. Its pathetic.

I will not be continuing this series

This book starts where Twisted Games left off. I finished this book within a few hours of getting the ARC. Not only is the plot continuing to get better, the spice is... yummy🌶🌶. I love all of the men, but this book moved Victor up in my favorite, although I don't know if Ransom will ever move from first place. Willow seems to get into some sort of trouble everywhere she turns and her men keep building up new enemies left and right. They probably need to implant a tracker in Willow. This book ends in a cliffhanger!! I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this book and can't wait for the next book to come out, hopefully it will be another early release because I don't know if I can wait until June for book 3!
