Callum and Nadine's Story . . .
Nadine Beverly finally walked out on her abusive ex-boyfriend, Brooks DeVeau, returning home to start over. She has a tattoo with her ex’s name that he had insisted she get. Now she wants it covered up, so she stops into a tattoo parlor to see what they can do about it. Callum Beckett, a wolf shifter, tattoo artist, and Alpha of the Crescent Pack, sits down with her to go over some options and reminisce about high school.
Nadine had always had a crush on Callum in high school and told him her favorite of his artwork was a wolf with moon crescents for eyes. Smiling, he lifted his shirt and showed her he had put that one over his heart. When their fingers brushed, both of them felt something and Callum’s eyes turned a honey color. But Nadine is still having trouble with Brooks not leaving her alone. She blocked his work and home number, and he is intent on not letting her go. Will Callum be able to keep her safe? Will he tell her what he is and make her his mate? Or will Brooks, who threatened Nadine’s sister to find out where she is, try to keep them apart?

He’s the one she always felt a pull to, a pull that has only gotten exponentially stronger since she last saw him. The muscles, tattoos, protective instincts, and her lack of relationship make that pull almost undeniable. Add in the way her ex is sniffing around, growing increasingly belligerent in his demands that they aren’t over, Nadine finds herself turning to Callum for help, for support, and they just grow closer as she starts over in her hometown.
I loved Promise of a Wolf, and am looking forward to more in this series and whatever else Jennifer might have in store for her readers next! She certainly does love stories with shifters and their fated mates exceedingly, satisfying well.

Nadine broke it off with her abusive ex and returned back home. Looking for a new start with limited support from her family. Callum stayed in the town that looked down on him for something he did not do, he opened a tattoo shop and was getting buy.
When Nadine walked into his shop, Callum's wolf began to pace, for Callum he always felt calmer around her. When Nadine's ex continued to harass her and came to town threatening her, Callum was the one to be there for her and give her the strength she needed to stand up for herself.
Great start of a series with danger, suspense and family drama/ love that warms your heart as you get lost in the story.

Lynette who tells her the owner of the florist wants tof retire and is considering selling the shop then she suggest the she get a new tattoo to cover the one of Brooks' name pointing out that there is a tattoo shop near the florist. Nadine goes to the tattoo shop and is surprised to find old school mate Callum there.

Nadine moved back to Crescent Creek to get away from Brooks after she finally had enough of his treatment to her and was taken care of. Stopped at the tattoo shop to get a tattoo put over his name and met Callum, she had a crush on in school. He left his pack after what his brother had done and got him involved in making it so he couldn’t go to college. His wolf knew that she was his mate, Nadine went and bought the flower shop. Good book!.

Callum and Nadine were awesome! Callum was so sweet and protective, and Nadine was such a strong woman. She was trying to get away from an abusive ex by moving back to her hometown. Callum saw her and felt drawn to her right away. Once he realized she was his mate, he was willing to do anything to protect her. I loved this story.

Olivia has left her boyfriend Brooks and returned to her home town to start afresh. There she reconnects with Callum when he covers her tattoo of Brooks name. But Brooks doesn't leave her alone and appears in town to force her back. Well written with plenty of drama and romance to keep you turning the pages. I can't wait to read the next in the series.

An enjoyable first book in this series Crescent Pack. in this story we are introduced to Callum who is a wolf shifter and the alpha of his pack. Nadine is is fated mate and human. She returns to Crescent Creek to start over after an abusive relationship. Callum owns a tattoo shop and Nadine comes in to cover up a tattoo. This is their journey to their happily ever after. I am looking forward to the next book.

I love books about shifter, and this was a great start to books about shifters. It was well written and easy to read making it hard to put down. I am truly excited for the rest of these books by a wonderful author. Great job.

Strong and powerful story of starting over and letting the past go. Emotional and romantic with strong characters.
Nadine needs a new start and Callum is a protector. This is a fantastic story, beautifully written and fast paced. Really enjoyed this and looking forward to to seeing more from this pack.

Nadine always thought she would spend the rest of her life with her high school sweetheart so when she knows that wont happen she returns home only to find Callum aan she always had a crush on. I loved this first book in Jennifer's new series! I felt connected with the characters, got enough of their backstory to understand their motivations, and I'm really enjoying where the story headed. I'm looking forward to finding out more about this town and the cast of characters.

Jennifer Snyder has given us another fun series. I instantly fell in love with Nadine and Callum just made me fall more. I cannot wait to see where this story takes us. If you love her books you’re sure to love this one!

It’s possible to go back home, there are simply a lot of complications when that needs to happen. Nadine had put her small hometown in the rearview mirror when she left with her boyfriend and never considered looking back. Now, several pain-filled years later, she’s returned home to start over again… if her ex will let her, and that’s a huge “if”.
Callum has made the break with his old, abusive pack and along with a few others created a new pack, a new home for them, a second chance to live a good life on their terms. It’s been far from easy but he’s learned that anything is possible. Like seeing Nadine back in town again, and realizing that the spark he’s always felt around her never really went away, it simply went dormant for a while. But Nadine is on the run, that’s obvious, just as her need to wipe the past few years from her soul and from the branding that one nasty piece of work placed on her wrist… a gift supposedly but in reality a brand of ownership that Callum will help her erase. He has the artistic talent to do that, but he also has the heart to see the woman who is his mate happy, content, and safe… with him.
Promise of a Wolf isn’t a very long introduction to the Crescent Pack series, but it does pack an emotional, powerful punch. Nadine is human, and Callum is a wolf shifter in a world where people are somewhat aware of the rumors but shifters have not come out to the humans… more like using magic to have them (humans) forget what they might have seen. When Nadine’s ex shows up in town to make trouble for her, Callum is right there to defend and protect his mate. I loved the interactions between this couple. It’s obvious that there have always been some underlying emotions between them but were never acted upon until now.
There is intensity here, tensions, and some dangerous moments for Callum and Nadine. There is also the blooming of love, the start of a new beginning, and the secret that Callum and his pack hold will become Nadine’s secret as well. We meet a few secondary characters who may play a larger part in the series at some point. Promise of a Wolf is very much an introduction, a base from which to build this new world. I loved being in this world, and cannot believe I haven’t run across this larger series before now. Good thing I know how to find those earlier Paranormals of Crescent Creek stories. Although I never felt that I had to read what happened before to enjoy the Crescent Pack series, now I want to and that is when I know a series has hooked me on wanting more.
If you love a good, solid Shifter Romance with touches of danger, passion, and new chances then you’ll want to pick this one up soon.

Felt short and not super developed.
Nadine and Callum had known each other in high school. He'd always had a crush on her. But she was with someone else (Brooks) and married him and moved away. Now, she's separated from Brooks and back in town. She comes into the tattoo studio and runs into Callum when trying to get her "Brooks" tattoo covered.
Brooks abused her, but always in private. Nadine's parents don't support her separation. She's living in her sister's garage apartment, but her sister is traveling for work.
Brooks chases her to this town and abuses her publicly. Callum slugs him once at a bar and then defends Nadine again when Brooks goes to her house.
It's a wolf shifter book in that there's a lot of talk about Callum's restless wolf and needing to let his wolf out for a run. Also, of course, the wolf knows Nadine's his mate. He shifts exactly once and Nadine takes it extraordinarily well.
Some things seemed too easy -- it wasn't hard at all for her to get a loan to buy the shop even though she had no business plan, no history of ownership, no experience with a florist. And after the trauma she must have from her relationship with Brooks, she fell in with Callum super quickly.

Promise of a Wolf (Crescent Pack Book 1 ) ~~ I started this series on Kindle Unlimited and immediately added the Audible version because I could already tell this story was going to pull me in emotionally. Promise of a Wolf centers on Nadine and Callum, and their second-chance romance is layered with history, regret, and unresolved feelings that never truly faded.
Nadine’s return to Crescent Pack territory brings everything rushing back especially her connection to Callum. The tension between who they were and who they’ve become is written so well. Callum’s wolf has always known what he wants, but Nadine’s past and the pack’s secrets complicate everything. This wasn’t rushed or instalove it felt earned and real.
Listening on Audible made the emotional moments hit harder, while reading on Kindle let me breeze through the chapters when the pace picked up. This book laid a strong foundation for the pack and made it impossible not to continue.
I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next book. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself ~ you won’t regret it.

Nothing came of good girl Nadine Beverly liking bad boy Callum Beckett as teens. She chose town favorite good Brooks DeVeau, leaving town after graduation. Done with Brooks, Nadine is back and planning to stay and visits Callum’s tattoo shop for business, sparks fly but nothing else. Brooks arrives searching the town for Nadine insisting they’re still together.
Stomping into Callum’s shop, causing a scene when he sees Nadine, Brooks raises Callum’s ire but leaves after a heated word exchange. Seeing Nadine and Callum having a drink at the local watering hole, Brooks causes another scene. To my taste this new to me author offered a rushed short that had little to no substance, barely held together but entertained.

A fulfilling five-star read that shows us great promise for the new series. This is number one in the Crescent Pack and shows us what a great writer this author is, the way she brings Callum to life, and makes you feel his pain with his brother, even though we only touch the surface. Then when you get to really know Nadine and see the way he would protect her with his everything, it’s such a compelling story. I must say I simply adore the way the author has put so many little details into the story, the tattoo design, the plants, they all made me smile and think this maybe a little something extra to this story. I am so excited to hear more from the Crescent Pack.
