I'm not exactly sure when I fell in love with books. Probably on my mother's knee listening to her read Dr. Seuss to me. I do remember that I was barely old enough to cross the street by myself when I discovered the delights of the local library. Could anything be more wonderful than spending summer days surrounded by stacks of Nancy Drew mysteries? Over the years I fell in love with Victoria Holt, Jane Austen, Agatha Christie, and J.R.R. Tolkien just to name a few. I read poetry, essays, biographies, and plays. In fact, I read anything I could get my hands on.

Years later (no, I'm not admitting how many) I'm still an avid reader, and my tastes are still as varied as they were in my youth, which I suppose helps to explain why I enjoy writing regency historicals under the name of Deborah Raleigh, as well as my contemporary paranormals as Alexandra Ivy. For now that is enough to keep me busy, but who knows what the future might hold!

I do have a few other loves in my life besides reading and writing, the most important being my unbelievably patient husband, David, and my two sons, Chance and Alexander. Without their constant support and belief in me, I never could have been able to follow my dreams. They are truly my heroes.

Stalk the Darkness is book 19 in the Guardians of Eternity series and a really enjoyable addition. This story is about Marco who is the cousin of Salvatore the King of Weres and Satin who is a Vamp that works for Viper. They have been enjoying each other at his Hunting Grounds business but something neither expected comes from it. I really enjoyed this addition to the series mainly because Marco refuses to leave Satin's side and I could actually enjoy their romance which has been missing in the last several books by this author. Honestly, this book was so reminiscent of older PNR's which is why I enjoyed myself so much. Again, we have Levet on a mission this time with Troy and Bertha also on one. Honestly, I enjoyed Bertha and could have done with just her POV. Overall, this addition is the best from the last several books. As usual I'm looking forward to the next one.

Vampires can't get pregnant but Satin does indeed find herself pregnant with Marco's baby. And Marco is a powerful Were but he had nothing to do with it. Satin and Marco have an understanding that they are just out for some fun when they get together and it doesn't mean anything but Marco knows that Satin is his mate, as crazy as that is. So when Satin goes on a mission to find a gargoyle and bring her back for questioning, Marco follows her to make sure she and his pup will be safe. But along the way they find out from a powerful elemental that Satin is somehow infected with a demon called an ifrit. If the ifrit is allowed to become corporeal the way it wants to, it will not only put their baby in harms way but it could also destroy the world.

Levet and Troy are also in this book and they are on their own mission looking for Levet's aunt Bertha. Bertha just so happens to be who Satin is looking for. Both Levet and Troy find themselves in danger a time or two but if you've read any of the books in this series you know that Levet always finds a way out of whatever trouble he gets himself into.

Because of all the different characters in this book, there was a lot going on. But even with so much going on, I found the story to be a little on the boring side. The story just didn't move as fast as some of the books in this series which stalled the progress for me more than once. While it had a good ending, it took a while to get there and I hate feeling bored while reading.

Disclosure: I was given an e-ARC of this book via NetGalley but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

STALK THE DARKNESS is the nineteenth full-length instalment in Alexandra Ivy’s contemporary, adult GUARDIANS OF ETERNITY fantasy/paranormal romance series. This is vampire Satin, and club owner/Were Marco’s story line. STALK THE DARKNESS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from third person perspective STALK THE DARKNESS follows vampire Satin, as she is tasked by Styx, the Anasso (leader of the vampires) to search and rescue the gargoyle Levet’s missing Aunt Bertha but a fling with Marco, the Were club owner, leaves our heroine with the impossible, a pregnancy that finds Marco never leaving her side. As Satin and Marco go on the hunt for Aunt Bertha, something evil and dark is slowly surrounding and manifesting as our story line heroine, and pushing her to return to where her life as both a human and vampire began. What ensues is the hunt for Aunt Bertha, and the search for the truth about Satin’s past.

Meanwhile, our intrepid little gargoyle Levet and the powerful, imp-likeTroy find themselves ordered by Styx to locate Satin and Marco, as the couple are no longer on the Anasso’s magical, proverbial radar but Levet and Troy will ultimately land in the netherworld, between Earth and H*ll, and their search for an escape brings them up close and personal with our story line heroine.

The relationship between Marco and Satin begins as a frenemies with benefits as Marco club allows for fights and fraternizing, something at which both Marco and Satin excel. A were pregnancy is rare, a vampire pregnancy is rarer, a pregnancy between a vampire and were is virtually unreal, and in this, Marco is desperate to protect the woman he wants to claim as his mate, and the child she carries, within. The $ex scenes are limited but aggressive and intense.

The secondary and supporting characters include the Anasso Styx, and his vampire wife Darcy; the Were King Salvator, as well as vampire Chiron; Levet’s Aunt Bertha, Levet and Troy; several supernatural and paranormal creatures, and King of the Underworld Hades.

STALK THE DARKNESS is a story of desperation and acceptance; family and relationships, magic and darkness, fate and love. The fast paced premise is entertaining and exciting; the characters are powerful and energetic; the romance is limited as the couple spends most of their time on the hunt.

Three and a half
As a long time fan of this series I was delighted to discover that the plot included Bertha, the Gargoyle aunt of Levet who is always a delight to read about. The Vampire Satin is sent to find Bertha as she's gone missing but Bertha is a slippery one and gets away but not without informing Satin the she's pregnant oh and there's something evil following her !
This perhaps wasn't the usual type of romance I expect from this author as if blunt there isn't that much interaction between Satin and her Werewolf lover Marco . However we do get two quests running simultaneously as Satin goes searching for her past and the fabulous Levet goes into the Underworld alongside Troy, an Imp with what looks like quite a journey in front of him.
I think if you just want a hot romance then this might not be exactly what you are looking for but as someone who loves this Seri I kind of view this as a stepping stone towards perhaps a new arc and I very much look forward to finding out what happens next.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

Book 19 in the Guardians of Eternity, Stalk the Darkness is an engaging read. Vampire Satin is on a mission to find and rescue the gargoyle Levet’s missing Aunt Bertha but a tryst with Marco, the Were club owner, leaves her with an unexpected surprise and Marco attached to her side. This fast paced, well written story with its dynamic and intriguing characters made this a compelling read.

I am such a big fan of paranormal romances because they offer great romance with an often action packed plot that will make you prepare some popcorn and strap yourself in for the ride. This book did exactly that, with its three separate but connected plot lines that alternated at the exact moment they should have. As a bonus, Alexandra Ivy writes with a lot of snarkiness and sarcastic banter between her characters, so it is bound to be an enjoyable read.

But the most enjoyable part of this book? Hands down, the romance 🥰

"You have a problem with strong females?"
"Obviously not." His gaze deliberately ran down the length of her body before returning to her face. "But if the female tries to harm you, I'll kill her without a second thought."

Not only do we get a fated mates (best trope of all) vampire x werewolf pairing, complete with the usual interbreed animosity. We also get treated with a badass female vampire who's emotionally stunted and does not like the feeling of being protected and cared for, fragile badassery complex? On top of dealing with Marco, she also has to deal with being the first vampire ever to be pregnant (unexpected pregnancy haters, beware).

This is book 19 of the Guardians of Eternity series, but I think it could be read as a standalone (even though it's more enjoyable when you know some of the characters to understand the quips being made, such as Levet and Styx, absolute gold those two).

The only thing I didn't like about the book, was the next quote. "Marcus grinned as the nearest cactus shattered into a pile of frozen shards." Plant maltreatment is no grinning matter, mister!

Okay, no seriously, I thought the ending was a bit rushed. I was left with unanswered questions and the way some of the plot lines were resolved could've used a bit more fleshing out. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this one!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Stalk the darkness is the 19th full-lenght novel in the Guardians of eternity series, a series I’ve been following for several years now, when it wasn’t published in French yet.
At this point it’s completely useless to present all the previous volumes lol. For those who don’t know it, the first volume is When darkness comes.

Since Conquer the darkness, the 15th volume in the series, the author doesn’t add a common thread connecting several volumes, so at the end of each book we have an ending satisfying enough for the readers not to have to wait for a sequel. And when the next book is published, there’s still a link with the whole series, especially with the emblematic heroes in this universe, so we’re not lost. It’s the same for Stalk the darkness.

I loved this volume, like all the others. The heroes, the plot, the action, everything is done for the reader to have a good time with this book.

Satin, our heroine is a vampire who works for Viper. She’s a firmly independent woman and an unparalleled combatant who refuses any vulnerability. I can say the readers will be very surprised when they discover her past and most of all her future.
Marco, our hero, is an alpha werewolf, a cousin of Salvatore (the hero in Beyond the darkness, 6th book in the series). Like many heroes of this species, he tends to act first and think later. But he fiercely protects the people he cares about.
When the book begins, Satin and Marco already know each other and they have an affair. However Satin gets scared and doesn’t keep in touch for three weeks. Weeks during which the hero is infuriating and constantly in a bad mood, so much so that his associate, Troy, the famous Prince of Imps, asks him to go and find her.
Satin as for her is on a mission for Styx, who was called upon by Levet. That allowed her to get away but not for long as she finds herself forced to team with Marco for professional reasons as for personal ones. This adventure will allow them to see their relationship evolve and to accept the feelings that were already uniting them at the beginning of the book.

On the action side, Levet is at the helm this time because it’s at his request that Satin is sent in mission. That’s how her past resurfaces and she’ll be helped by Marco in this ordeal.

As for the secondary characters, because of problems with the mission, Styx forces Troy and Levet to team up. Troy is a character who takes more and more importance in the series and with Levet they make a good team even if they often quarrel.

The action is sustained, to the point that I read the book in one sitting and I spent most of the night on it to finish it LOL. Once closed we have all the answers to our questions and we believe in the happy end for our heroes. I hope to see them again for a reason I won’t reveal here but in connection with Satin's future.

I began reading Guardians of eternity in 2009 and the series is composed of 29 volumes when counting the full-length novels, the novellas and the spinoff trilogy. I’m still not tired of it. That’s the only long series I still read, so it’s no small thing. I don’t know if another volume is planned but I’ll be there no matter what.
Of course I highly recommend it.

Series: Guardians of Eternity #19
Rating: 4 stars - It was really good

Satin is determined to never be weak again. She is determined to enjoy her life, including “combat practice” with Marco, the owner of a wild and untamed club outside of Chicago. But when a chaos creating demon leaves Satin with the unexpected news she is pregnant, everything changes.

I don’t usually love the surprise pregnancy trope but I actually enjoyed this one. I don’t know if it's because I knew it going in or just because it's Ivy’s writing but this was a great story. Satin is a dangerous and strong vampire who doesn’t take anyone's shit. She has had a tragic backstory that has made her determined to stay independent and strong. She struggles to let Marco close and admit her feelings for him. She was just a great heroine and liked her from the very beginning.

Marco is an alpha werewolf who is determined to claim Satin. He was protective of Satin, but he also understood her strengths and let her fight her own battles. I loved that he didn’t railroad Satin into not fighting and appreciated her abilities. These two were a power couple once they started to work together and I do hope they pop up in future books.

The fight against this new evil was very interesting. It was a new threat that we hadn’t seen before in this series. I enjoyed it and how it expanded the paranormal creatures within this world. I also appreciated that while this is a surprise pregnancy story, it was the only focus of the story, which is probably why I enjoyed it.

Overall, this was another wonderful couple for this series. I can’t wait to see who will fall in the next book, hopefully Troy or Olga.

Trigger warnings: Discussions of past rape, abuse, and slavery.

This is book 19 in the Guardians of Eternity series but it can absolutely be read as a standalone. In this one we get Satin and Marco's story. Satin almost died becoming a vampire. She hid herself for centuries in order to protect herself and grow stronger. She swore to herself that she would never be weak ever again. Now she throws herself into what joy she can find in her life. And that includes her mock battles with Marco. Her "work-outs" with the Were are no strings attached and quick-just the way she likes them. Until she is sent on a mission...and finds out the impossible. Vampires don't get pregnant. Marco is strong and savage, things that he prides himself on being. But when Satin suddenly stops coming around, he is compelled to follow and find her. Especially when he realizes that she may be his mate. He will keep her safe-even from the darkness that surrounds her. Her and his child.

I absolutely loved this story!! Satin is this kick butt woman who went through the worst things that a woman can go through. But she came out of it strong and taught herself to be the warrior she needed to be. I love her! And even once her past before she became a vampire (since they don't remember before their pasts before turning), she doesn't let that define her nor does she let it become something that could drag her backwards. Marco is this strong and protective man that you always expect Were's to be. And I loved him and how he isn't afraid to step up and protect someone who needs it. Even when it could mean his own death. Their relationship together is just perfect. They accept each other for who they are all while actually liking each other. Even when they don't want to admit it. I loved it all! I loved having snippets of previous characters that I love while seeing another side of them as well. Perfect way to bring it all together.

I love a good paranormal romance, especially when an author takes the time to build a really good, believable (I know, that sounds weird) world with protagonists from one novel appearing in subsequent novels as secondary characters. This book was my first Alexandra Ivy book (I think), and while I liked the book, I was also a little disappointed by it

The good: There were recurring characters, but it read okay as a standalone. There weren't long, awkward passages that tried to explain previous novels. Satin and Marco were great protagonists; a kick-ass vamp and a hunky were? Yum!

The not-so-good: A few secondary characters (I'm looking at you, gargoyles) were clearly there to provide comic relief, but the humor seemed forced to me. Also, while the book started off strong, it got a little confusing about midway through. I wasn't really sure why we needed the imp and gargoyle involved; they didn't add much to the plot development and the breakaway chapters that followed their journey just took me away from Satin and Marco's.

The end came fairly abruptly, with both Satin's demon infection and Satin and Marco's relationship resolving too easily. In fact, it wasn't until the epilogue that the latter truly happens. I felt a little bamboozled.

Would I read more from this author though? Yeah, I would. I'm just hoping that other novels have a little more meat to them.

One last thing: Marco is supposedly Italian, but he drops Spanish phrases instead. Dio mio!

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher and Netgalley. I wrote this recruiter voluntarily and it reflects my honest opinion. Thanks!

Another Great Guardians of Eternity Story!

I read every single book of this series, so about 19 books! What I love the most about the Guardians of Eternity is how every book brings a beginning and an end to the character's story. In brief, you can read them as stands alone. My favorite kind of series!

Alexandra Ivy is a great author to add to your library. I first discovered her while reading a 1001 dark nights book and fell in love with Levet! He is such an intriguing creature and the perfect way to keep all of these books connected together. Just to learn more about this unique gargoyle, I would read one hundred more books!

Now, as for the main characters of Stalk the Darkness, I am still not sure if I truly liked the couple. I mean, they had great chemistry and everything, but for me this was a really fast romance and I mean FAST! I usually prefer an enemy to lover kind of trope for these books, so this one was a bit out of my personal line of preferences.

BUT, the suspense and story development was worth reading. This is the kind of book that left me with a thousand questions for the author. I am truly debating sending her an email... I need answers!

Well, I don't want to give away anything, so let's just conclude here with a strong recommendation from me to any lover of love out there!

Happy Reading xx

I am always entertained with the Guardians Of Eternity series. Though each book is a stand alone you will miss out on the warmth, familiarity and knowledge each recurring person brings to the table. You know who they are but your not as invested, this is a loss for you so I highly recommend reading the series. This one is Satin and Marcos story and what a mix that is, our vampire and wolf. There is a darkness tied to Satin that is growing stronger. Satin is off trying to track down Bertha (Levet out short gargoyle aunt) and Marco is chasing down Satin. All 3 meet at the same place and puff we are off. Troy (imp) and Levet are searching for Marco and Bertha respectively. There are demons, side trips, and some very emotional moments with Satin. Marco is an Alpha with class and determination to save Satin. We see Hades, we see evil and follow two story lines which can be a little confusing at time. We have a HEA that could have been fleshed out more, but I will never pass up an Alexandra Ivy read. Thank you #Kensington Books, #Netgalley and #Alexandra Ivy for the arc. I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions.

Guardians of Eternity book number nineteen, Stalk the Darkness by Alexandra Ivy has all the thrills, danger, suspense, and romance that I have come to expected from this series. It has been around a long time starting when I read paperbacks instead of digital. Yet it has never let me down always being an engaging read with characters that are paranormal superheroes. Stalk the Darkness continues that wonderful legacy of the Guardians of Eternity.

Satin is a fierce, independent, strong, seriously dangerous vampire along with Marco, a Were who will always have her back. They make a marvelous power couple, but theirs is only one of the storylines in this story. The lovable Levet is on his own quest too. There is a new danger so the overarching theme is evolving just as this series has done from the beginning.

I enjoyed this story as much as ever. Fans of the series will not want to miss Stalk the Darkness. New fans will love the focus on the action, suspense, and character development.

For fans of Alexandra Ivy's Guardians of Eternity stories, they may enjoy the chance to follow some favorite characters on another adventure. With rapid, witty dialogue, quirky characters and a fast moving plot, readers new to the Guardian's worlds will have plenty to keep them engaged. Each turn of the page offers more questions than answers, slowly offering clues that lead to the explosive ending.
Vampire Satin has a hard core reputation. Very few demons can match her power, but there's only one she's interested in. Marco, cousin to the King of the Were's. Satin searches Marco out as a sparring partner - and usually something more. One such meeting ends with with the impossible. Against all known logic Satin in pregnant.
From the first, Marco felt the call of his mate. He's set it aside, as he knows Satin isn't ready to hear it. But, when the King of the Vampires sends her in search of a rogue demon, Marco can do nothing other than follow her. Something else is in play, though. Marco can feel the taint of evil surrounding Satin. He's unsure of its source, but he knows this - he'll protect Satin at any cost.

So I was a little late to this bandwagon and only found this series in the last month or so but that also means that I have basically read it straight through and what a wild ride it has been and this latest offering is no different

Satin may be a kickarse vampire who can fight as good as anyone but it hasn't always been that way in fact been turned almost killed her but now she is strong and independent Something that Marco the were she trains with fully understands but that doesn't mean that he doesn't want her in fact he believes she may be his eternal mate. Now with her pregnant on a mission and danger closing in and him slowly losing his mind worrying about her he will team with her in an effort to keep her safe But danger is closing in can they both survive and can they have a future Like in all the series characters from previous books are sprinkled through and we even get to meet some new ones which I assume will be in future books

You can read this book as a separate story but I thank it is far better if you read the entire series

Ivy once again delivers an enjoyable story with a well matched couple you look forward to finding their HEA together and, even after approx couple dozen novels/novellas, keeps the guardians of eternity series both familiar and fresh. Satin & Marco's relationship (not that they think of it as such) starts off page & pre-book and we are dropped into how it has developed at the start of the book. We get adventure and romance as events unfurl and the two go in search of answers and find more than either expected. While not as steamy as many of her couples, there is still plenty of simmer and sizzle as these two strong, independent, "top dog" personalities learn what they can do as a team while understanding when to lean or bend a bit. there is also humor in the continued misadventures of Troy and Levet and the added mystery and sass of Levet's aunt Bertha. while not a favorite in the series, it is certainly another good installment that would recommend to fans and newcomers alike.

Stalk the Darkness by Alexandra Ivy is the 19th book in the Guardians of Eternity Series. This is Satin, the vampire and Marco, the wolf shifter’s story. Marco owns a bare minimum club where any supernatural can test their strength, combat skills and survival instincts. This is where the two meet and develop an interesting relationship.

Satin is sent to find Bertha, Levet the gargoyle’s aunt. Marco follows her. During the search, she finds out she is pregnant which is impossible for a vampire.

Since there were complications with Satin and Marco’s search, Styx teams up Levet and Troy to assist. Any time Levet is the focus in the book it can be guaranteed that there will be some humor. This is also true in this book.

I think the end of the story could have been expanded a little bit. But, I still enjoyed reading the story of these two characters. Satin and Marco make an interesting couple. As always, I can’t wait until the next book in this series.

Satin is a kickbutt heroine! She's a take no prisoners kind of woman and is determined to live life to her own rules. She wasn't always this way but no one is left alive who recalls who she once was.

She loves her walk on the wildside with shifter Marco within the strictly controlled confines of his supernaturals only clubs. He's someone who also understands rules and boundaries. Well, until he doesn't! Marco is unusually interested in where Satin has been when she falls off the map for 3 weeks. He has an overwhelming need to know she is safe. But he is going to have a job on his hands finding her - she has been sent on a mission for the Anasso.

OMW if we thought Levet wrought chaos and havoc wherever he went, wait till you meet his auntie Bertha! As his only relative who hasn't tried to kill him, he worries when she disappears and he asks the Annasso to find her. So essentially in this book we have two storylines for the price of one - Levet and Troy on their comedy-filled hunt and Satin and Marco's storyline running parallel.

Satin is such a strong character that it's easy to forget that she struggles like everyone else. She is clearly ill-equipped to deal with her little surprise present from Marco! Similarly Marco is left reeling with the reality that his bed-hopping ways seem to have come to a screeching halt LOL.
He's very aware of Satin's proficiency to take down any enemy daft enough to take her on, he's perfectly happy to watch her six.

I'm really hoping that Troy, Levet and Olga get their HEA's.

Trigger warnings: Historical rape, abuse, and slavery are alluded to

I will be honest I am a fan of Alexandra Ivy romantic suspense series and have read a few of her Guardians of Eternity. The author created a supernatural world that is just about believable as if you could see yourself in the world she created for her readers.

I haven't kept up with the series and only bounced from different books in this series. It took a little time for me to figure out who was who but after a few chapters it was easy enough with the authors ability to pull in a few other backstories from the other books. Different characters from past stories are brought into Stalk the Darkness. The story moves quickly and with an imaginations readers will love the different supernatural creatures from didn't lore's.

The ending was very abrupt and tied up in a nice little bow for readers. That being said I could have been drawn out a little more giving reader a more complete ending.

These books are insane in the best way. At this point, you probably don't need to have read the whole series, but just have an open mind before starting.

It all starts with a gargoyle who isn't a gargoyle going on a walkabout and hearing voices in her head. It only gets weirder from there. Satin is an independent vampire who wants nothing more than to blow off some steam with Marco. Marco also insists that he doesn't want anything permanent and hooks up with her. They do this regularly, which kind of indicates a relationship, but they are both clearly oblivious. When they end up on the same trail and get told some rather surprising news, they are somehow tied tightly together.

This story has everything: smut, romance, magic, silliness, surprises, action, elementals, fun outfits, and more! Nothing in here is truly earth shattering, but it was an engaging story anyway. Levet was a hoot, as usual, and gave the story a heap of heart.

Totally enjoyed this book! I laughed out loud at the antics of Levet! I love that little gargoyle! And I enjoyed meeting his cousin who seemed to be pretty high maintenance! I had trouble putting this book down!

The chemistry between Satin and Marco? Ooh La La! They start out just having a sizzling affair, telling themselves it’s nothing permanent. The surprise pregnancy puts an entirely different spin on the story! Vampires don’t get pregnant…but believe it or not, Satin is going to have a baby!

When Satin leaves to go on a quest, what’s Marco to do…but go with her! He’s pretty sure she’s his mate. Satin is a kick-butt vampire and doesn’t need anyone’s help…but down deep she’s happy Marco is with her.

Lots of adventure, laughter, love, and surprises is what you'll get when you read this book! I loved it!!

Satin a strong female vampire can't stay away from the Hunting Grounds or she can't stay away from the Wolf Marco who owns the casino/retreat. The two of them are combustible when near each other and nothing can get in their way. He knows what he wants but the strong female vampire stays away and drives his wolf crazy until nothing can stop him from finding her. Satin knows something is off about herself but she also has a mission for King, if that means she puts distance between her and the wolf and gives herself to figure out what is going on all the better.

Great story, very much enjoyed it and the additional characters Levet, Troy, and Bertha are hilarious and entertaining throughout the journey.

I honestly have no idea how to describe this story. There is action, suspense, and a little sex. Shifters, vampires, demons, several others. Ok here goes….

Satin, a vampire, is sent to find a gargoyle and bring her back. Marco, a wolf shifter, goes to find Satin. Satin and Marco have been having a “ no strings attached “ relationship. Both believe vampires cannot get pregnant but she is carrying Marco’s baby. Satin discovers an evil being is residing inside her. Between looking for the gargoyle and trying to keep the evil from taking over, they find out things they never knew.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of Stalk the Darkness by Alexandra Ivy. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thanks to NetGalley and Kensington Books for this ARC.

In New York Times bestselling author Alexandra Ivy’s thrilling new romance, a vicious evil stalks two Guardians of Eternity, waiting to attack where they never expected.

Satin and Marco were a cute OTP (one true pairing), but at the end of the day, their story was a bit bland. I wish there had been more focus on the main couple building a relationship rather than the quest story arc. Stalk the Darkness was a perfectly fine fantasy romance but nothing that stood out from other books of the genre.

Stalk the Darkness by Alexandra Ivy is book 19 in the Guardians of Eternity series, and another action-packed, fast-paced, and intriguing read.

As a long time fan of Ms Ivy’s, I have revelled in her gripping and well-written storylines that drew me to this series many years ago, and the snarky, sarcastic, and sexually charged banter that has always been a pivotal element of her characters interactions.

Stalk the Darkness is a story that grabs your attention early and holds you captive till the last page is turned. I thoroughly enjoyed this exciting tale and am happy to recommend it to all lovers of paranormal romance and delighted to add the print version to my extensive collection.

I am a fan of this series and love to see how each book pulls in the characters. This story can be read as a stand alone, but the series is a fun ride. I was intrigued to discover that the plot included Bertha, the Gargoyle aunt of Levet who is always a delight to read about. Bertha is a gargoyle, who's magic is more crazy than Levet's. Everyone is searching for Bertha for different reasons. Satin, a vampire, is sent to find Bertha as she's missing but Bertha is a slippery one and gets away but not without informing Satin the she's pregnant oh and there's something evil following her ! It is a fun read. I enjoyed and am looking forward to the next one.

Stalk the Darkness (Guardians of Eternity) by Alexandra Ivy
Another intriguing addition to the Guardians of Eternity series. A lot of the usual Guardians plus some new good and not so good ones. This is Satin and Marco's story with plenty of side stories all getting us to the end. Plenty of angst, danger, suspense, evil, laughter and tears and plenty of steam. I can't wait to see what happens next.
Reasons I enjoyed this book:
Steamy Unpredictable Happily Ever After Romantic Haunting Entertaining Tragic Wonderful characters Action-packed Funny Twisted Page-turner Scary.

Satin is a vampire and Marco is a full blooded Were. Satin is determined to never be weak again and has a hard time letting Marco get close. But she gets an unexpected surprise discovery that sets her emotions into turmoil.

There is a new evil and it’s stalking Satin. It was something new for this series. Love this book and the series just gets better.

We see our favorite gargoyle, plus a few appearances from some of our favorites, including Levet’s aunt. I’m hoping she has a book of her own because she just about took over the book.

I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of this book.

Bold Characters, Exciting Book

Anything by Alexandra Ivy is an auto buy for me. So you know I devoured this new Guardians of Eternity book immediately! This one features a powerful vampire heroine and the hot were that she can’t get enough of. They end up hearing some crazy news and they are off to figure things out. Along the way there is mystery, adventure, romance and suspense. Loved it! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. (I already bought a copy for my own library!)
