The story feels all over the place while going nowhere.
The style is unpleasant, in particular I dislike name-dropping for brands and there's a lot of it. Do the author(s) get paid for advertising like TV shows and movies are for product placement?
There's a caricatural French character written with Google translate.
At some point the idea crossed my mind that may be it was a second degree caricature of a bad book.
But no, there's no second degree, it's just a bad book - just like the rest of low effort mass-produced contents being produced nowadays.

yet another exciting story
Tom as usual gets into more trouble Hellen almost walks in on her mother and another and the world of history is fighting to survive. It’s a little hard to keep up sometimes with Tom on an adventure of his own and Hellen stuck with a limping Coulthard in search of that golden path

Great Adventure
An excellent example of awesome storytelling. It is full of action and intrigue. The characters were great and easy to get behind. I really like this book and I highly recommend it.
