Noah and Zara have everything going against them. Yet in spite of all that, they’re still utterly adorable together when they get their happy ever after. I’m not sure I fully connected with the characters and I know I wasn’t as invested in their connection to each other I like to be. But I loved seeing the power of the sibling bonds both have with their families. I also enjoyed experiencing the traditional Indian vibe from Zara’s family and seeing the “cost of celebrity” from Noah’s point of view.

MY TAKE
I really enjoyed the first book in the series, so it was fun to revisit Getaway Bay and see Zara again. There are few things as challenging as dealing with family expectations. That's the case with Zara but especially for Noah and his royal family's. He loves his parents (king and queen!), but they truly made me nuts! The man is 31 years old, for Pete's sake! But they're acting like he's a wayward teen who has to have his entire life directed (by a publicity person). Seriously. I was so frustrated with them. Especially when they showed their decision making abilities weren't any better of than Noah's whom they had faulted. UGH.
But true love wins, and the falling in love part was delightful. And it was fun to get to see Ash and Burke in cameos.

What happens when you add a runaway prince hiding from the paparazzi to a non-traditional Indian from a very traditional Indian family? A seemingly impossible situation. Because she isn't King approved and he isn't a nice Indian man. Dealing with protocol and repairing reputations on the royal side seemed to be never ending and what is an Indian family to do with a prince? So many problems. Can it ever be resolved?
I liked Noah and Zara as main characters. I was angry with Noah's royal parents and loved his brother, sister and her fiance. I wasn't sure what to think of Zara's family and would love to have been privy to all that happened in one afternoon to bring about a happily ever after. What was in the text from his parents that he ignored?
I liked that the conflict wasn't the two main characters being stupid but dealing with all the things out of their control was. And I liked Noah taking things into his own hands in the end.
But what comes next for them? Does Noah continue as a volunteer or does he get even more "normal" and get a job? Will he and Zara have royal duties? Does she keep working as she has been?

When Noah's mother finally finds out that he is at their house in Getaway Bay, she fires Zara and tells her to be out of the house that night. Noah scrambles to find another place to live so Zara won't lose her housesitting job. Then he has to go back home for a few days but one he gets there he is told he has to stay for a few weeks and then "possibly" he will be able to go back to Getaway Bay permanently. But that is not the case. His parents have set him up to make it look like he is back with Katya and then tell him he has to stay for several more months. His brother and sister help him sneak away so he can return to Zara and hopefully explain everything and win her back. Will he be able to get her back or will his parents interfere again? Will she believe him and forgive him?

Zara gets an amazing job offer to house-sit a mansion in the hills in Hawaii for a whole summer and is thrilled to move in, even giving up her apartment to save a little more money. She's part of a synchronized swimming team that performs shows for tourists and she's peeled herself away from the Indian restaurant her parents own and her sisters all run.

The Blending
When two lives come together from completely different cultures, it can cause insurmountable problems, Zara and Noah dealt with them in surprising grace. I was nice to see that even though Zara was hurt and heartbroken she still tried to think some positive thoughts of Noah. Petra his mother was somewhat disgusting bringing the tramp he tried to help and giving her his phone to torment Zara, along with trying to get them together on the free for all tour for Louisa and Eric which neither really wanted. I think all along Noah's father wanted him to make the decision to go to Zara proving he was doing something he really wanted an not what he was obliged to do. It was a little draggy but over a great story.

I love novels by Elana Johnson; however, to me they are never a good as the one's written by her pen name - Liz Isaacson. I just truly enjoy the more contemporary novels that have a Christian theme underneath them. Even with that being said, I did enjoy "The Prince's Bride," I thought that the traditional Indian vibe was something unique and different then what I am used too. I also enjoyed how Ms. Isaacson kept the truth behind the Prince's arrogance to all things "normal," for there are many different writers who act as if all Royalty could easily accumlate to modern, everyday life. Well done over all, just not my 'typical' cup of tea.

a 3 hour book is a dog walk and a room flip along with a tiny bit of housework or errand running, especially when listening at 1.2 speed. (I have no idea how people listen at 2x speed, sounds like squirrels.)
Anyway, this is another light read. I do enjoy a series where you meet different people who have been in the periphery in earlier books. I also wish the characters were a little less 1 dimensional, but these are short stories and it's hard to really "know" a character in so few pages.

decided to check this book out since it was free to listen to on spotify since i have premium. i found out this is a series and i believe the entire series is on spotify, which i will check out regardless of this rating. this book was an easy listen and overall cute, but i guess i was expecting more. i was looking for more character development and i feel as if the whole story was rushed.
if you’re looking for an easy listen (the audio book was around 4 hours), and love cheesy romance novels (which i do), this is for you.

Zara comes from a traditional Indian family, Noah is a prince from a small European country. He is hiding out from the press, she is house sitting his family's vacation home. Starting a relationship is stupid. But they try anyway. But what will happen when he needs to go home to take care of family duties. Can he talk his parents into letting him live in Hawaii with Zara? It's amazing what love can do.

An accidental meeting between two very different people. They have different cultures, different social standing, different work history, different roles in life. The attraction is strong, but major problems cause a rift in their relationship. I loved the book and also learned a lot about synchronized swimming! Two adults who genuinely love and admire their families try to find their own places amid the restrictions placed on them.
Also a reminder not to believe the surface of everything we see. Need to trust "who" we know the person to be rather than what the media is saying. Give people a chance to trust you enough to really see who they are before you write them off and shove them into a labeled box.
I read an ARC copy of this book & found that it is one I would have chosen anyway.

This is a 5-star clean read about a prince on the run from bad publicity and an Indian synchronize swimmer. The story takes place in Hawaii, where Zara has been hired to house sit. On her first day she discovers that she is not alone in the house. The main plot of this story revolves around 2 people who are from very different families trying to find common ground for a relationship. Well-written with an HEA ending.

A fun romance between 2 totally different types. I also enjoyed learning more about an Indian wedding/culture/food as well as synchronized swimming!! However, I must admit that I really couldn't understand why the Royal family would insist Katya accompany the prince on his sister's engagement tour after her previous destructive behavior and lies. Otherwise, it was a fun read, and I recommend this clean romance for a little beach escapism.

He's the second-son prince of a far off island nation.
She thinks her family has crazy rules and traditions. Oh boy, she ain't seen nothing!
His family interference causes issues with their relationship.
But, of course it all ends happily. I love how that part came together.

I really enjoyed reading this book! To make a little money, she got a job house-sitting for a rich lady. When she went the first time she found him in the house. Come to find out he is the son of the owner. They have some arguments but finally work things out to suit both of them I recommend this book to anyone who likes romance books.

This is the story of Zara and Noah who meet when she shows up to housesit, he is the son of the owner and no one knows he is there at the house. The story develops nicely and moves along at a good pace. The characters are well developed and the families are interesting. Would recommend this book, I received a free copy and am voluntarily leaving this review.

A Beautiful Mix of Cultures
I love the typical yet nontypical royal romance. The only thing I'd change is the 6 month jump from engagement to wedding. I feel like I missed an important part of their story. There is no way that six months was without some ups and downs. Elana, please write a little of those 6 months. That being said the HEA made it worth the read.

A prince in hiding, a young girl who was hired to house sit meet at the mansion. The both have families of many traditions and after taking for one another it is the traditions that pull them apart. The prince is summoned home to his families castle half the world away and his parents force him to do his royal duties. Will he ever see Zara again?

A great book for a television series.
Elena Johnson surely can write a good story. Hawaii and Italy is where the setting is and Prince Noah and Zara and Boomer and Whitewater (their dog and cat) are the best of the best characters. Need I say anymore - enjoy.

Fun read
This was a good book. I liked Noah. I was kind of disappointed at how quickly it ended. I felt like all this tension built and then it was just over. It needed a bit more.

Another good Getaway Bag story

Great book
Very interesting book. This book is about two people who have to overcome the places they come from, their station in life and their backgrounds. Some how Zara and Noah figure it out. Good story.

Oh my. I’m a sucker for a royal romance and this one had me on the edge of my seat! I could never have guessed the direction it would go. Both heart stopping and heart racing! I could not put it down.

This was a fun read. I had not read the other books in this series but will be getting them. I had done synchronized swimming in the past and thought it was fun to find that in this book. Also like the Prince Story. The interactions with their families were good.
