...that's it? it felt like nothing happened! at least they FINALLY finished dealing with byblos. the gold saucer arc is hopefully going to be better than the previous arc, i gotta say, making shogo into a cloud cuckoolander was pretty funny.
I’ve been reading this series for years and we’re only up to book 8. The books release so slowly that I’m finding myself forgetting bits of the story 😞
This one was actually pretty cute generally. Also... FINALLY A CID. I've been eagerly waiting.
First of all, the completion of Alus' story, just cries. I adored that. And that more serious section vs. the end that was basically entirely comedic relief was a good balance.
I think I was probably as excited as Shogo during the entire Gold Saucer section. I'm looking forward to continuing on the Gold Saucer story line.
Mostly one of those transitional volumes, as the Mysidia chapter of the story comes to a close and we set off for the Gold Saucer instead.
Did we need to spend all this time in the library?...Probably not. But it was fun, and probably reads better like this in collections than it did in the snail's pace chapter release.
