Now kids can pray in color, too!

This first-of-its-kind resource will forever change the way kids prayer - and how adults try to teach them to do it.

This is prayer that makes sense to kids. One minute a day will do. Any time of the day will work. Drawing with markers or crayons is h alf the prayer; the other half is carrying the visual memories throughout the day. Ages 5-11.

Some great ideas and visual prompts for drawing or doodling prayers for young readers. The author didn’t assume one sort of family or level of Christian experience which was helpful in making it accessible for more kids.

Words sometimes aren’t there when you need them—sometimes prayer can be as simple as
thank you, help, I’m sorry, and please. You Don’t have to be an artist to draw prayers--some basic doodle shape ideas are included. She suggests beginning with a favorite name for God and includes some options. If you’re distracted by things you need to do later, draw a ‘parking lot’ for them on the margin of your paper—you’ll remember for later and can get back to what you want to focus on for now.

The kid’s edition is meant to be read and used independently by kids old enough to read with ease. I love how it gives concrete ideas on how to have prayer time with God that capitalizes on what a lot of kids like to do – doodle! Paired with the adult version of the book, it would make a great way to have each family member have alone time, and then come together to share.

I have both versions of this book, and love them BOTH! The Kids' edition is easy to carry with me. The language is very kid-friendly. I found it very much appealed to the child in ME. Spiritually, the concepts are very simple to implement for even young children. Highly recommended!

I like this even better than the adult version, but both compliment each other. This one has good examples and artistic guidance.
