Looking at all the 5-star reviews, I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. I did not care for this book at all. Can someone please tell me how Rhea is a badass because all she does is talk about how she can handle herself and doesn't need help with anything BUT SHE DOESN'T DO ANYTHING? Bad things are constantly happening to her and she does nothing about it. This book is nothing but Rhea being overwhelmed and unable to process anything, Selene screeching every time she's in a scene, and Adonis and Xander arguing over Rhea.
The whole storyline with Kaos didn't make sense either, mainly because nothing is explained about his mother. Why does he think she'll be able to control Rhea? Does she have the power to force people to do things or does he just have zero faith in Rhea? Like what is his reasoning? And instead of talking to Rhea about it, he just decides to be a complete jerk?
Xander and his parents were also stupid. Why does he care so much about what they think? Everyone is treated like children instead of adults in this world.
I didn't like how nothing was explained about Al and what a Fury is or does. And how does Dante just keep appearing everywhere?
Also, Zeus implying that he raped a dead Nyx was pretty gross and unnecessary. I will not be continuing this series.

Absolutely loved it.
KC Kean can do no wrong when it comes to her books. They grip you in and have you on the edge of your seat throughout the entirety.
I highly recommend you read this series. I mean what's not to love when you have all the good tropes like:
-PNR Romance
-Fated Mates
-Mythology
-Kickass Heroine

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book, especially after that cliffy. But this one?! Holy crap, kc didn't come to play, babes. She slayed me with every word, and as our girl and her men grew closer to one another, they were figuring out they have way more enemies than they ever thought, and nothing is as it seems.
One thing this author does really well is cultivating independent relationships within a Harem. Rhea is no exception to that, and I love how she gives a different part of herself to all the men who love her; Adonis brings out her funny side that doesn't take life seriously (which honestly our poor girl could use more of) Xander is the intense possessive one who is still my favorite, Zen well.. he helps her calm down with all the craziness in her life. He's also a closeted dirty talker and I'm all here for that. She had sealed her souls with those three, and her magic keeps getting stronger and stronger with each bond, but she still needs Khaos to unlock her full potential. If only the broody vampire would get out of his head and grab what's in front of him.
All the relationships not only soothe something inside Rhea, but gives something each of her men were missing. And even though they were friends before her, they are a family now with her (even you, Khaos.) Plus the way they protected her?! Hoooottttt. She's still fiercely independent, but she's learning to trust and lean on those who own her heart as well.
Now for all the twists, man there was so many. Our girl just couldn't catch a darn break! I refuse to spoil anything, but it was a lot, all at once. And that ending?!?! HOW RUDE. I've been personally victimized by KC's cliffies once again. I'll never learn.🤣

3.5 ⭐ rounding unsure at the moment
I really like the premise of the series, and in some ways I enjoyed this book more than the last but overall I found myself losing interest as so little progression happens, both from internal growth of characters and relationships as well as the external plot. More questions and hardly anything answered. I don't feel on the hook intrigue with the pacing, which is what I need with all of these compounding questions. And the FMC keeps flipping on whether she's all in with the guys or if she's too independent woman to show even basic consideration for them 🙄,
Oh, and when parents of MMCs are introduced just for them to be power hungry toxic a**holes or entitled c*nts who give me "I can't believe they just said that" reactions, only for the MMC to fng cower to said parents, and do so for unclear reasons, like as far as I can tell not being blackmailed or threatened or have a sibling being threatened, none of the common threads that salvage them acting uncharacteristic and not making me want to root for them cause are you kidding me with this turning on a dime like that? I'd like better of my fictional book boyfriends.
I think it's planned to be a trilogy, yet so little growth and progression arc happens in this book. Is it all coming at the end? I don't know.

if i have to read that she "rubs her lips together" or that "she's not like other girls" i'm going to lose my mind. absolutely nothing happened in this book until the very end. everything got so dragged out.
rhea gets on my fucking nerves like no other MC has in my entire life. she's so "quirky" and "different" from other girls. she doesn't like dressing up or wearing makeup. she's full of so much anger. she curses like a sailor. GET A DAMN GRIP OH MY LORD. she's just like every single girl out there in this god forsaken world. everyone experiences anger, not everyone wears makeup all the time, woman are allowed to curse (it's the twenty first century), and YOURE NOT A FUCKING FEMINIST ON ANY LEVEL!
She swears that she's going to find out information on who she is and proceeds to do nothing about it. just sits around and twiddles her thumbs, then gets mad when she doesn't know anything. she gets upset when people mention supernatural things to her when she makes no effort to learn about their world on her down time. i understand she just came to their world and has only been their a couple months, but with the amount of spare time she claims to have when she isn't studying for her classes could be used to do research on the world she's living in now. her ignorance is her own fault and she can't get mad at everyone for casually mentioning things they've known their whole lives.
If i have to read her description of Khaos every time she looks at him my phone going to get shattered. I GET IT! HIS BLACK HAIR FALLS IN FRONT OF HIS PIERCING GREEN EYES. HE STANDS WITH HIS ARMS ACROSS HIS CHEST AND A FOOT BRACED ON THE WALL!! IT ISNT LIKE ITS MENTIONED EVERY SINGLE SCENE WE SEE HIM IN... WHICH IS A LOT. don't get me wrong i like Khaos, i think hes hot, but rhea is just so stupid i can't stand it
she says she doesn't like people making decisions for her, and is upset abot Khaos choice, but it's his family. he knows his family better than she does and she has the gal to act like he has no right to his actions. he literally told her he is protecting her; then she turns around and feels the need to mention that he "hates her" every five fucking seconds. HE LITERALLY TOLD HER TO HER FACE HE DOESNT HATE HER AND IS TRYING TO PROTECT HER BUT SHES SO CAUGHT UP IN THE VICTIM MENTALITY THAT SHE CANT SEE PAST HER OWN DENSE CRANIUM.
this sucks because the plot line seems good, but the paving is off. rhea is such a one dimensional person i can't even manipulate myself into liking her. the boys who are supposed to be big bad and scary don't even bother acting like it anymore in front of her. it's part of their personalities and who they are. it should change just because they like her and want to treat her different. there should still be some underlying tension. the basis of their personalities in the beggining was that they were rude and didn't bother trying to sugar coat who they are. now they're like fucking putty in her hands and are all mushy towards her it's gross.
where is the morally grey i was promised? Khaos is the only one delivering and it's barely crumbs at this point.

This book was ok overall but contained very foggy illogical writing at times which was extremely frustrating.
I'm at 75% right now and am Soooo annoyed with how this book was written. Ok (sigh) so there is all this mystery surrounding why the war between gods was fought, how Rhea was born supposedly after her mother Nyx was killed by her father Zeus etc. Etc. The elite have looked for answers in the library, no dice, and have now decided to go back to earth to see if there are origin answers. All fine right? So they get to her old apartment and realize the old dude Al is in fact a fury (what does this mean? Who knows). He starts giving them some really useful information, but then Dante comes and he disappears and then it's like foggy, what the hell is going on writing until they get back to the academy where Rhea gets horny and has sex with one of the boys ... Not discussing or caring about the information they just came across. It's SO ANNOYING!!!! I want to pull out my hair!!!
This has been rinse and repeat for the entire book!!! It must be just me because all the other ratings are super high. Is this a writing style I'm not warming to? Or is this just bad lazy writing??
I'm planning on torturing myself for another 25% all in the hope I'll get some answers, which at this point is pretty unlikely. I'll update.

My feelings:
I read this last year but never wrote a proper review, so while doing a reread I thought I would do a proper review.
Adonis finally explains himself with a determined growl to his tone. “I’m going to fuck some sense into my girl.”
I loved loved loved this book. Honestly if KC Kean writes it I will be read it.
“Baby, I’m a demon, don’t go calling out to the wrong supernaturals now. They’re not going to bring you pleasure like I can,”
Kc Kean is the queen of Reverse Harem.
I love the Audio book version of this, everyone has there own voice and they are all sexy and tantalising.
New got a few more spicy chapters in this book. All were very steamy.
“What? And wash the smell of my girl off my skin? Nah, hard pass. It’ll give me a constant source to replenish my magic throughout the day,” Adonis says confidently, glancing back over his shoulder to wink at me, and I fucking blush in response.
Now lets talk Mcs:

Adonis is kind of annoying. I mean sexy and all that but man he is such a needy person now. I like him crass and rude. But needy and separation anxiety is really annoying. I want the old one back.
“Everything with me comes at a price, son, we know this, but one sliver of information for you. I know what it feels like, to have that connection with someone, to seal your soul to another, because I have that with your mother, and look where they put me.”

I hope that she ends up with all 4 men in the end. We have Zen, Adonis and Xander now but Khaos is still being a mummy boy.
“Now, I’m not sure what you all know about sealing souls, but the main thing it does, other than connecting those involved, is it brings forth their dormant powers earlier than their predetermined awakening age.”

I’m so in love with the unit, I mean zen might be all calm and collected but man he has a dirty side under it all. Adonis is a massive baby, all hard and rough on the outside but complete baby on the inside. Xander is just sex on legs, hardly says anything but his actions just melt your panties.
And khaos is by far the strongest of them all. Holding back like he is for someone he hasn’t even been with yet is just heart clenching!
I hope he comes through in the next book, I want them all sealed together so they are a full unit!
Zellas can just go away, he annoys me. What a loser!
I hope nyx is alive and hiding. I want her to have her revenge as there is no way she is the villain. She would just be painted that way. I believe she was justified in her actions but we will only see.

Now of course after the cliffy in Reckless Souls, we demanded answers straight away in Damaged Souls, and boy did we get them and more!! This book had all the plot twists, mystery, drama, laughs, spicy and lovey doves moments we could hope for and more!! 🥰👏🏼
After Rhea’s huge discovery at the end of book 1 about her heritage, there is so much Rhea and the Elites need to discover about this world they live in, all while discovering ALL THE THINGS about each other 😏😏
Seeing the character the development in this book was great! Adonis just STOLE. MY. HEART. 😍😍 Xander is just my big softie! Now of course after the cliffy in Reckless Souls, we demanded answers straight away in Damaged Souls, and boy did we get them and more!! This book had all the plot twists, mystery, drama, laughs, spicy and lovey doves moments we could hope for and more!! 🥰👏🏼
After Rhea’s huge discovery at the end of book 1 about her heritage, there is so much Rhea and the Elites need to discover about this world they live in, all while discovering ALL THE THINGS about each other 😏😏
Seeing the character the development in this book was great! Adonis just STOLE. MY. HEART. 😍😍 Xander is just my big softie! We start Damaged Souls where book one left off. Rhea and Adonis were rudely interrupted when they were sealing their souls. Rhea was taken and brought in front of the Hex to validate her origin. After finding out her father was Zeus a GOD and her mother Nyx who was his enemy, there are so many questions. How did this happen? How could two people who hate each other and go to war against one another for hundreds of years make a baby? These are just some questions Rhea needs help answering. Now that her soul has sealed with Xander and Adonis this leads to more questions without answers. A third soul sealing makes her unit almost complete.
So many secrets, twists, turns and drama! Rhea admits to herself that it’s time to trust these men in her unit.
Interference from others sets them on a crash course. By the end you’re not sure who to trust. Who’s keeping secrets? Who’s jealousy is in control?

Holy crap this book!! So bloody fantastic! I adored getting to see more of Zen in this book and his family😍 There’s more mystery and steam, and a truck load of twists. I think I’m left with even more questions than after reading book 1. I cannot wait to see where book 3 takes us, it’s a series I don’t want to end!

Dnf @ 17%. The syntax and flow of the writing is awful. The author needs to get herself an editor, or find a new one if she has one.
The switching POV doesn’t really add much to the storyline and the FMC is not consistent and disorganized. I really tried, but I just couldn’t keep going.

DNF-ing the series on book 2 because I can’t stand to read one more instance of the main character “rubbing her lips together.” What does that even mean? Why does it happen twice every chapter? Is she okay? Does she have any lips left?

I had to give myself the night to sleep on this book after I finished because my head was full of thoughts. So. Many. Thoughts. I was only about 15% into the book and I was already having theories, and that just continued throughout the book. This book starts where Reckless Souls left off so some of my questions were immediately answered along with some other questions I had that popped up throughout the book. Of course, I then ended up with even more questions by the end. Just like with Reckless Souls, I was sucked into the book from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I was finished. Even then I wanted, no I NEEDED, more!
I love the growing dynamic between Rhea and the guys and that we get to know more about them. I couldn’t pick a favorite before I started this book and it’s still kinda that way, but Khaos, y’all, he’s giving me some serious Saint Memphis vibes from the Everlake Prep books, you know, before he pulled his head out of his ass (IYKYK). Let’s just say that he is aptly named because he causes absolute chaos with my emotions throughout this entire book. This is when the ability to reach through the book and smack a character would come in handy! He seriously needs a good smack upside the head so that maybe he would pull said head out of his ass. I love how grumpy and broody Xander is until he looks at Rhea and then noticeably softens, but only with her. Who knew that Zen was such a dirty talker! I was definitely surprised by it, but boy oh boy was I here for it. And Adonis is like this needy, attention seeking puppy, which I was not expecting after the first book. He truly is the golden retriever character of the group and I love it.
Honestly, I could go on and on about this book I loved it so much. This is only my second KC Kean book and I’m so glad that I found another author is that has turned into an auto buy for me. Not to mention I pimp these books like crazy to anyone that will that listen to me, and even to those that don’t. I can’t wait for the next book to come out in October, at least I have her backlog to help keep me occupied until then.

This series just keeps getting better and we are only on book 2! I didn't expect that it would be a slow burn in terms of sealing her soul with all 4 guys, but it is! Well, at the end of this one - just Khaos left, and he is terribly conflicted because we know he wants Rhea, but he doesn't want his mother to sink her claws into her either.
Understandably, Rhea is a bit pissed because he doesn't want to trust her or the rest of the unit to protect each other.
A lot happens in this book, learning about Rhea's power, Zen's power when they seal their souls (angel fueled by hell), and them going back to Paradise Heights and learning Al is not human, and finding the tracking doll.
There were a few holy shit moments in this book - one of those definitely was her attempted rape by the 2 brothers, and then the following killing of them by Khaos and Zen while Adonis kept up a glamour.
And all while that is happening, something else is brewing with Xander and then we end the book with Rhea being held in a cage because the asshole Zellus decides they need to assess whether or not she is a threat as she is Nyx's daughter.
Oh and let's not forget Zeus' jaw-dropping revelation that he raped Nyx's dead body...
Then Rhea cracks open the tracking doll and now we have no idea who it is, but it sure a hell ain't Al!

Absolutely loved this book, so much information is thrown at you and it all starts falling into place towards the end of the book - although there are still much more to learn.
The guys in this series are hot AF, completely off the charts. The steamy scenes are spicy 🥵 🔥 love the growing relationship between the guys and Rhea.
The guys start to show their real personalities, loved Adonis’s neediness. We also see more if their abilities - which I loved. Khaos was my fav of the guys in book one of this series and was my fav yet again in this book, I see his sacrifice and inner torment.
Rhea is honestly put through the ringer in this book, constantly watching her back, glad she has the guys for support.
The twists and suspense in this book was perfection, I was completely Mesmerised and stayed up into the wee hours until I read the very last word. KC Kean is such an amazing writer, the journey this book takes you on is complex and detailed - I didn’t want it to end.
The cliffhanger ending was WOW! Can’t wait until book 3 is released. Congratulations KC on yet another phenomenal book 👏👏

Even with Rhea’s parentage being public knowledge, there’s still no answers into how she came to be or what her being a ‘god’ means. I’m dying to know what powers she’ll have but for some reason I think it’s linked to her soul bonds with the guys. Until she seals the final bond she will continue to mainly rely on them to save her which kinda sucks but it’s also adorable watching them turn into teddy bears around her. Really wish there were some adults she could turn to aside from a single teacher. Even the guys’ parents mostly seem against their mating and even worse want to separate them or use the relationship to their advantage. Tis the way of Gods and immortals I guess. At least Rhea and the guys are seeing live and in living color how not to behave or let power go to their heads. Shameful so many treat Rhea like shit because her mom was Nyx yet Zeus (her father) is so revered as a known rapist and much more, he’s such a scumbag. I’m kinda hoping for a shake down of this world at this point, let the darkness in. Maybe Nyx has been gaining strength all these years and wants revenge because if I’m not misunderstanding what happened to her while dying by Zeus, no one and I mean no deserves to rain down hell like she does. Perhaps she did the best she could for Rhea at the time. Really hoping she’s at least a better person and better parent than Zeus. Needless to say I enjoyed this book and the growing relationships, dramas and plot. Enjoying the rollercoaster that is Rheas life but not gonna lie I need this girl to get her powers so she can start ass kicking all on her own as there were a few too many close calls on her life and body.

Let's start with i stand by my decision that these hunks will leave you dickmatized and this installment does not disappoint.
The vibes comimg off Adonis, Xander, Zen & Khaos is mesmerising and droolworthy. They have all grown within this book and damn, Adonis is still rocking my world as top guy in this series.
The plot thickens and with each chapter, we find more secrets and truths begin to be realised. With the story growth, has and showcases the strength Rhea has and where is going and i am super excited to see where this goes!
Harmonia is bestie goals, she is sassy, funny & throws comments at the guys at every opportunity absolutely LOVE.

After the cliffhanger that ended book 1 I could not wait to get my hands on this one, and it did not disappoint! I devoured it in one go!
Zen has quickly become my favourite and Harmonia is the kind of friend I both want to be and have.
The world only keeps getting better as the story continues and I love how all the relationships are developing individually and at their own pace. Can't wait for the next one to find out more about Rhea's past and hopefully kick some Zellus and Zeus *ss!

Another KC Kean that I LOVED! This series has me hooked and I cannot wait to see how it unfolds. That cliffhanger is a harsh place to leave a reader but I should know that is where I will be left every time. October seems so far away…
Rhea is kick arse and I am truly enjoying seeing her find her way in the supernatural world.
Adonis is still my favourite 😍 but the other Elites are still hot and KC definitely brings the steam with this book 🌶🌶🌶

I am falling more and more in love with this series. This one picks up right where the first left off, and let me sayyyyyyy I have so many more questions after reading this one. So much happens, I am still stunned from finishing. I will post absolutely no spoilers but IT IS SO GOOD.
