Michelle Bishop is trying to get used to life with her sidekick, Georgia Beauregard, but it’s not easy being shadowed by a ghost twenty-four hours a day. When YouTube star Esme Jacobs and her crew come to town, Michelle finds herself mixed up in a celebrity wedding she’d just as soon ignore. But Esme just happens to be Georgia’s favorite social media influencer, and she’s not about to let Michelle bow out of this.
Michelle soon finds herself involved in a YouTube challenge gone wrong while Georgia unexpectedly gets to meet her idol. The bodies are piling up, drama from the past is rearing its ugly head, and Georgia’s mom is demanding answers about her daughter’s death. Can Michelle and Georgia find the murderer and somehow salvage a nightmare wedding weekend?
Books in a series should only get better as the series progresses and happily this series does! Michelle has still resented Georgia even after she comes back as a ghost and helped her solve a murder in the last book, but Michelle starts to change in this one as Georgia once again shows she has “grown” and changed from who she was when she was alive after being around Michelle and her grandmother including another “save” at the end of an exciting story which will make you smile and perhaps shed a tear or two.
Michelle feels “saddled” by The Georgettes once again as one of her nemesis’s returns to Carder Bluff to get married and the other two in town are put on the team Michelle is asked to be on. After the star of the show dies in a fall, it is discovered she was pushed so Michelle and Georgia and then the new ghost work to figure out who did it. They think they have it figured out but then that person also dies. There are some twists you won’t see coming and Michelle finally realizes that people can and do change from who they were in high school!
I loved this book and enthusiastically recommend you get not only it but the first book and sign up for the author’s newsletter so you can get the book that sets the stage for this series - where Michelle, Georgia and the Georgettes meet and what happened in high school and the ill fated prom night!
This is a book about giving a person or persons a second chance as well. Something we all ought to consider. In the end we’re only hurting ourselves if we hold on to grudges from the past!
I am anxiously looking forward to the next book in this series, Ghosts, Cornfields and Carvings and after you read this book I’m sure you’ll be eagerly awaiting its release as well!
Pick up this book and series today! You’ll be glad you did!!

Review:
Michelle is trying to get used to her new normal of having Georgia, (a ghost) being part of her life now. She is getting used to her being around, and even though Georgia was very mean to during her teen years, Michelle has begun to realize that Georgia is not all bad. But when Georgia talks her into holding a wedding in her hometown, things go very wrong. A social media personality is killed and becomes another ghost that Michelle has to help. Now she really has her hands full. Will she be able to handle it?
The author is very talented in his descriptive writing and these descriptions pulled me into the story from the very beginning. The writing flows smoothly and the book is an easy read. The mystery is well plotted and there were enough clues to shift through and it was not easily solved.
I really love this book and series. It has everything I look for in cozy: interesting characters, an intriguing mystery and an unforgettable ghost. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a well written cozy mystery.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and provided my honest review.
4.5 stars ...With a funny, well-written plot, J.A Holder has scored another win. This sequel in the Michelle Bishop paranormal series was even better than the first, and that one was good.
Michelle the librarian, Georgia the ghost, Grandma Dorothy and Mittens the demon cat are back at it again when YouTube influencer Esme and crew, waltz into town for the wedding of her brother Ryan to Chelsea, one the members of the Georgettes , & Georgia's close high school friend.
All plans come to a halt when Esme is murdered during filming of a segment called the Hide&Seek challenge. Now, Michelle has to deal with more than 1 ghost and a pet chimpanzee named Bubbles, while she attempts to investigate the case.
I enjoyed seeing the development of the characters and their relationships, which was a little emotional at times. The potential love-triangle tension is still just lingering below the surface, providing an interesting side story. The characters, particularly the main duo of Michelle and Georgia have grown on me as they have on each other. Lots of moving parts and plenty characters with a few new sub-plots, but very easy to follow in this quick read.
At 80%, the case seemed to have been solved, sleuthing done and dusted until the next time, but I wasn't expecting those twists. Again, we're left on a kind of cliffhanger that only leaves me excited and eager for the next installment.
I received a review copy from the author and this is my honest review.

Ghosts, Bridesmaids, and Buttercream: Paranormal Cozy Mystery ( Michelle Bishop Cozy Mysteries Book
OMG!!!!!! This book made me laugh and cry. I loved every minute of it. Michelle is so far out of her comfort zone and she is becoming a very special person. I truly hope she figures out who killed Georgia, but at the same time, I don't want Georgia to leave. Michelle is caught up in not 1 but 2 murders and she may lose her life before it's over. I can't wait to read the next book, I am kind of getting attached to these 2 ladies.
Michelle and Georgia are at it again. Murder and mayhem follow when one of Georgia's old friends returns to Carter Bluff for her wedding. The twists with this book are so much fun. I enjoyed every moment of it. This book took us on not just a murder mystery, but a journey of friendship, both old and new. The ending was a twist I never saw coming and I can't wait for the next installment. I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a good cozy!
I love this series so much. Michelle and Georgia are the perfect combination and friendship is do much fun to watch as it evolves. Georgia, herself, grows a little every book and makes me feel really bad that she’s dead. The mystery, and introduction of Georgia’s high school friends, was a tough one for me to figure out and I enjoyed every minute of this book. I’m enjoying this series so much and can’t wait to get to the next one.
I loved this continuation of Michelle’s and Georgia’s story. Of course, there is another murder, but their friendship becomes stronger as they work together to solve the case. I especially loved the introduction of Bubbles (the capuchin monkey), and hope we see more of her in the future. She’s no Marcel, for sure! 😉
This is most certainly one of the better cozy paranormal mysteries I’ve read. I can’t wait to see what is in store for them next!
Audiobook: I enjoyed the second book of the "Michelle Bishop" series as much as the first one. Because Georgia admired a YouTube star, Michelle got involved in a celebrity wedding. The story was delightful. The characters were charming and fun. The animals added a humorous element to the tale. Ann Marie Gideon's narration was great and added to the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
I’m totally enjoying these books by J. A. Holder, a ‘new to me’ author. This is a fantastic cozy mystery and I was surprised right up until the end. I love the interaction with the ghosts, paranormal mysteries are the best. I’m enjoying watching Michelle grow and come out of her solitary life. Grandma is adorable, and I love her, too! I'm only disappointed that I have finished all the available books. I need more!
This is one of the authors close to my heart. Love to see them right and expand. As for Ms. Michelle Bishop the the sassy librarian turned directive..well she is coming into her own. From bullied geek to girl that has her own back. I love watching the characters and the author evolve. Now without giving to much away i hope you enjoy it as much i do and did.
I loved how this was set up and ended. It was well written! I can't wait for the next!!! I am surprised at who the murder was. I am excited to find out what happens in the next book to get answers to the ending of this book. I love Bubbles and hope she in some of the next one.
These are just plain FUN! Great characters, wonderful concept, really good stories! Who wouldn’t want to be the local Ghost whisperer? Georgia is snarky and witty, and is so fun to see her true character come out. Michelle is steadfast and a true friend. So ready for Book 3!
They never meet your heroes they have a way of letting you down or they are not who you think they are. Georgia got her wish my meeting her YouTube hero, but in order to do that something bad happened and it was caught on camera. Old enemies became new friends and a secret is revealed. 💙💚
I have been loving this cozy mystery books lately, but this one is just the best!!! The amazing relationship between Georgia and Michelle is top knotch! Forgiveness combined with an influencer’s murder, and added an extra sassy beautiful southern belle ghost is actually something to die for!!!
I just wish that there were more books to this series 💖💖💖💖💖🥰🥰🥰🥰
What a great story! I smiled, I laughed and I even cried. Even though there were murders and ghosts, the whole story was more about friendship and forgiveness (at least in the way that I read the story). Read this book and see which way you see the story.
I offered a honest review for a free copy of this book.
Fast-paced, we’ll written mystery with the death of a media diva, her entourage and a monkey. Of course Michelle, Georgia and the Georgettes are in the middle of it. Enjoyed the interplay between them as they learn to appreciate each other.
Each book in the series is stand alone but.once you start you won't want to stop. The characters are like crazy friends you want to sit and visit with over dinnet
Love this series. The characters are well developed, likable and relationships are evolving. I’m looking forward to see how the mystery of Georgia’s death unfolds. This particular murder mystery was well done. I didn’t guess whodunit. And it was fun. Well done!
Michelle and Georgia are wonderful characters with an interesting relationship. This story was fun, intriguing, and kept me turning pages to see what happened. This series is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I received an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
Hope I got you with my title. This is a second book in the series. It will mostly make sense, but is better with the first book. I'm waiting for the next one to come out.
Georgia gets to meet her idol the hard way. A murder to solve. Advances in the overarching story. Danger. Romance. This book is interesting and and I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
I literally couldn't put this one down, even cancelled plans so I could could continue reading. Lots of twists in this one , and the ending is great. Cannot wait to read #3!!!
It has all the ingredients of a cosy paranormal mystery with hundred and thousands sprinklings of laughs. It’s fun original and feisty with inter generational love ❤️.
I would recommend this book to my fellow ghosties. If you love Ghost Cozy series, this is a great one. The characters are funny and relatable. Can't wait for more in this series.
Another mystery with our favorite librarian and ghostly glamour girl. These aren't heavy reading, and surely don't intend to be. There are laughs to go along with dire deeds. Fun reading you can enjoy.
This is a definite must read, if you enjoy a good mystery with fun and likable characters. I binge read this and the first book and can't wait for book three to come out.
How often have many of us wished t o heal old wounds and make something better from what seems an impossible past? A heartwarming st9ry...can't wait for the next one!
