As I lay on the stone slab waiting to be sacrificed to the Dark God, Kaal, life flashes before my eyes.
The night I was chased by the shadow demons, Rakshasa.
The moment Hunter waltzed into my life.
It’s funny in this near end, his eyes are all I think of. Well, it brought me here to this altar.
I shouldn’t have followed the handsome stranger into the woods, into Sinzar.
And now I pay the price. The ritual knife hangs high.
Some truths are just not worth dying for.
The Realm of Endless Night is the first book in the action-packed Sinzar Chronicles series. If you like strong female character, magical creatures, intricate world building, friendship and romance then you will enjoy this epic fantasy.
Melissa Parker has always been haunted by nightmares of terrifying shadow creatures. Her life takes a chaotic turn when the demons begin appearing in reality to hunt her.
Unbeknownst to the girl, a strange power dwells within her; something ancient, dark and uncontrollable.
A fateful meeting with a warrior from the hidden world of Sinzar offers her a chance to uncover the mysteries and roots to her past. Determined not to become a fiend’s next meal, Melissa travels with him into the magical land.
But what she would find in the strange realm was something she wasn't prepared for.
I reckon this is the second time I've been wooed by a book written by Niro. Both times I had my expectations as high as Mount Everest and both times Niro took me TO THE MOON. ( You'll know about the weird comparison when you read the book)
•Let us start with, HOW TF AM I SUPPOSED TO DEAL WITH MAGIC THIS INTENSE? I mean, there is a guy (okay two guys) I may or may not be in love with. Hunter was AMAZING with his big sexy bod and all that but Harris is the one for me. That man could walk over me and I'd say, could you do it once again please 🥺 (okay maybe I'm overdoing it)
•I've read the Night Queen's Curse before and it feels relieving to finally visit Sinzar. Niro's description of magical places is BADASS.
•I dunno what kind of fantasy this is, I only know that this is DIVINELY entertaining. And I'm not a big fan of Emperor Sinzar.
•I may or may not have expected some Amaris content but alas, I was deprived of that privilege. Niro has promised to make it up with more smut in the next book of the series (woo-freaking-hoo)
•I LOVE AKU SO DAMN MUCH (he's a whole mood trust me)
•The thing about this book is, no one knows what to expect. AT ALL. It could be flying squirrels one second a swarm of giants the next attacking our MCs.
•Also, whatever was it between Cassie and Leo needs to resolved. Make it a smut scene, alright Ni.
•CANT WAIT FOR NEXT BOOK CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT BOOK CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT —
This was a strange book. I saw multiple videos on social media which made me open this book. For the first half of this book I kept checking if this really was the right one.
Now at the end I still havent read what I saw.
The beginning of this book felt a little like reading twilight which i didnt like very much but being motivated by socialmedia I kept reading. And the way its been writing has something that took hold of me.
Anyway I m not sure what to make out of this book, this story. History and politics are lost to me even in this world let alone in a make up world. But this is more background information for now. This book has something and I can't put my finger on it. The strangeness kept me reading in stead of dnfen.
So here I am throwing myself in another 600+ pages with hopes that I somehow get to understand why I like reading it haha.
I m not sure about the videos that world and the world I have been reading are not the same. And I know for sure this is the serie mentioned🤔
There are so many twists and turns while reading this book. I was on the edge of my seat at times and loved every second of it. It made me feel so many emotions. I was sad, happy, excited, nervous. There was so much action happening. I also loved the connection to the first book with their characters. There’s nothing that I didn’t like about the book besides the CLIFFHANGER at the end. I NEED to know what happens next. I absolutely loved this book. I can’t wait to read more.
Boring read. There is no plot really and for the first part of the book, nothing is happening. I couldn’t care less about the characters, they have no personality. Writing was not good. The style is very heavy, I had to skim through as a lot of the text is useless and doesn’t bring to the story.
This book was a mess and felt like a rough draft of a rough draft. It was choppy and all over the place. I understand the character isn't supposed to remember and so we can't have all the details but this was ridiculous. The way the serial killer was introduced was very odd, like the author knew she needed to hint at it early on before using it the killer in the story.
There are just way too many different things going on with no flow to help the readers. Is it past? Is it present? Who knows! The lack of flow made this an awful read. The dialogue definitely needed work as well.
I didn't even know there's another series after The Night Queens Curse. I have The Last of Us 2 flashback reading this book. Diana really got the Joel treatment in this one. I don't like that but I'll keep reading ...
Honestly I was not happy with this one. I read The Night Queen's Curse first almost all the characters that I love from that book is not here. Some of them had even died. But I did fell in love with a couple of new ones. I'm just happy the dragon guy has a human form. I hope to see more of him.
I'm waiting for the fantasy romance I saw in booktok A Serenade to the Elf Queen The story in this book is good but the romance is sidelined by the fantasy I want back to back spice please
Another booktok find. But I think the book I'm looking for is A Serenade to the Elf Queen. The trope I'm looking for is not in this book nor the second one.
I enjoyed reading The Realm of Endless Night. I thoroughly enjoyed the twists and turns in this story. Just when I thought it was going in one direction, a twist here and there in the story kept me guessing up until the end. As far as any constructive criticism, I feel the story was a little choppy in a few places, but a fun read. Going to get the next book.
It begins with Melissa and what happens to her. Hunter comes to take her to sinzar to meet her father. It is one mistake after another. She is captured trying to return to earth. She finds out her father is dead. All she wanted to do is return to earth. She never gets to meet emperor sin who is her grandfather. She is finally allowed to return to earth…
So this chicken, while on earth, can get mad or protective and switch into psycho killer with super human strength.
Then when she is taken to another realm she is weak and scared and never ge t s into t hat super strength mindset, even with others and herself in danger.
I was hoping for a strong MFC, but it did not deliver.
