I always appreciated in the past how their series generally kept politics out of the personal history of historical figures, so as a kid I could learn about figures on all sides of legal questions without having to sort through the more adult political nuances of a person’s belief. This one was published late in the series, so it wasn’t part of my collection from childhood. I recently grabbed a copy at Goodwill and truly enjoyed an easy quick read about a very interesting historical figure.

June 18, 2014A chapterbook that differs from the illustrated texts in the rest of the text sets. This is a biography that is more academic than the other biographies in the set, such as Malcolm Little.
