Quick story about a secondary character we met in the last Completionist Chronicles book, Inflame. Havoc is the general of the dwarven army and Joe’s mentor. In this story, he investigates some monsters who exist in a protected location - protected by Havoc. But has their been subterfuge?

This book dumps you in the middle of things and even though I read the book before this very recently I was still a bit confused by some of the details, but a fun quick read. Reading from Havoc's perspective was a fun change.

This was a funny short story. I am not sure where in the main story it takes place, because Havoc left a lot to do his own thing.
