Damn...

Now all I want is for Grace to f**k a a dragon.

In all honesty this was a perfect follow-up to the original and well worth the wait. Rebecca knows how to tell and show a story without dragging it out and making you feel like your life is draining away with the time.

Blessed be, Rebecca Kenney, my queen, for always giving me what I need when I need it.

Less silly than the last one but still insane. This gets an extra half star for making me cry (even if I was already a little emotional before the whole Rath thing it still counts). I loved Apollyon and I feel like he was RFK’s first version of Fin. And I am conflicted with Rath. I liked him a lot in the beginning of the first book and then I didn’t. But he tried! But he was a demon. At the end of the day it was nice to see his redemption even if it made me sad.

I LOVE THIS AUTHOR!!
Infernal Trials for Humans picks up right where Interior Design for Demons left off, diving deeper into the horrors of Hell and the darker side of Grace’s relationship with Apollyon. In this second installment, Grace is forced to participate in the Infernal Trials, a brutal series of competitions, with the goal of becoming a demon herself in order to be with Apollyon forever. The chemistry between the two is undeniable, and as they explore each other's kinks and survival strategies, their relationship deepens-though so does the brutality around them.
The stakes are even higher in this sequel, with the trials becoming increasingly dangerous and the characters facing moral dilemmas about their humanity and their desires. The exploration of their intimacy is both tender and intense, adding emotional weight to the action and horror elements. While the competition is certainly intense and captivating, the focus on Grace’s internal conflict about becoming a demon provides some much-needed emotional depth to balance the physical and psychological torment of the trials.
Overall, this book ups the ante with darker themes, higher stakes, and more character development. It’s perfect for fans of dark fantasy, exploring forbidden desires, and the messy, morally gray world of demons and humans alike.

I am the worst. Lately I've been really struggling with book series. The minute the characters are together and the slowburn is gone my brain just turns to mush and I really struggle to stay interested.

This book has just as interesting of a storyline and characters as book 1 does but with the main characters already identified and brought together I just couldn't get as into it.

It is a well written story with great plot twists, fantastic spice and really strong characters. There are some bigger trigger points in this book that I would recommend reading and I really didn't expect. The plot twists kept coming and coming and it didn't end up how I thought it would tbh. It kept me on my toes!
