I am finally over my crush on Duke. Completely done.

Duke’s always been like a big brother to me … a big brother with abs of steel, a heart of gold, and those dimples that make my heart rate double whenever he smiles.

As far as Duke's concerned, I’ll always be his best friend Chris’ little sister—the little girl who dunked his Darth Vader action figure in Elmers glue and glitter.

Even if Duke noticed me, it wouldn’t matter. I’m so off limits, I may as well be wearing an outfit made entirely of caution tape. We both know Chris would enlist a special ops tactical team to hunt Duke down if he ever pursued anything beyond friendship with me.

Good thing I’m over Duke. One hundred percent attraction-free, that’s me. Well, mostly … until I accidentally send him one of my usual scrambled texts (thank you, autocorrect) … and he thinks I’m hitting on him.

I’m mortified enough to momentarily consider relocating someplace obscure like Greenland. I can never show my face around town again. I’ll buy a parka and an ice pick and learn to love fish. A lot.

But then Duke answers my text …
Am I dreaming? He’s not mad. He’s not even making fun of me.
In fact, it seems like he might be flirting back

I guess I might not be completely over this crush after all.

Just don’t tell my brother.

Shannon & Duke have been secret crushing on each other for years, but neither thought they could take a chance on each other. Shannon has a sad family story which is why her and brother, Chris, are so close and he's very protective of her.

There's a nice small town feel with a great cast of side characters. I don't have any siblings, so I'll never really fully understand the whole off limits/forbiddenness, but I can see why they wanted to wait to tell Chris until after he came home from his deployment.
They were very cute together. I loved Duke's dream and how he went after it. The epilogue was a nice wrap up of what they accomplished.

Aidan & Mallory are still my favorite, but I enjoyed this installment in the series and look forward to the next one that will follow Jayme, Shannon's roommate.

Narration notes:
They have narrated the whole series, which might be weird if you listen to them back to back, but they do a fine job.

Whew! Savannah Scott really outdid herself with the carefree and utterly flirtatious Duke Satterson. This is definitely my favourite of the series!

The years of tangible tension and pining between Shannon and Duke was fantastic. But with Duke holding a promise to protect Shannon while her brother is away on military duty, he desperately attempts to keep his attraction at bay ...

And obviously fails. Ha! Sneaking around like complete teenagers in a gossip-filled town, Duke and Shannon made my heart flutter in delight. This was filled, and I mean FILLED, with the most romantic kissing scenes. The motorcycle was my personal favourite!

Known for his casual relationships, I loved seeing the charming Duke prove his heart is set on Shannon. And with the help of a few hilarious, meddling seniors along the way, he does just that. Once again, it was so great to be back in Bordeaux, Ohio. I'm very much looking forward to book four!

(heat level: kissing only)

I voluntarily read and reviewed a gifted copy from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

“You’re my safe place to land” OH my Heart! This was such a delightful story, It was sweet, hilarious, romantic, SWOON-WORTHY FEST! Do yourself a favor and check this out, I promise you’ll love it. Comedy Gold!

“I need to find a way to purge myself of this incessant attraction to the one man I can’t ever have–the only man I ever really wanted.”

Friend to more, brother’s best friend. a clean-sweet romcom. This book works as a standalone read, but I recommend you read the previous books because they will give you further insight into the characters.

Duke and Shannon have had feelings for each other for years but never acted on it until now, Duke is an easygoing, loving man. Shannon is caring and sweet, and both are dealing with questions about their future goals, and how to move forward as a couple.

“Manly tears. Guy tears. Maybe I’m just sweating through my eyes with a testosterone-laden reaction. I’ve still got my man card, that’s all I know.”

So many good moments between Duke and Shannon, so many scenes together as a couple, that will make you smile and giggle in every chapter.

You will love the small-town feels, the fun banter, texting-flirty mishaps, meddling old woman, Zumba classes, and swoony kissessss! And I loved how they made each other even better people than they already were.

5+ Stars!

Shannon has been in love with Duke for years. But with him being her brother's best friend, he's off limits. Unbeknownst to her, he feels the same way. But again, off limits. Do you see where this is going? I think you do. Once their feelings come out, there's no turning back. And I just have one thing to say... let the swooning begin!

Oh my heart! Y'all! I can't even with all the swooniness! I. Can't. Even! Where should I begin? I do have to warn you, this is going to be one of those gushing reviews. But you guys, I can't help it! This book had absolutely everything I want in the books I read! 😍

All the feels? ✓ Swoony? ✓ Lots of kisses? ✓ Giggled/laughed out loud? ✓ Let out all the little dreamy sighs? ✓ Butterflies in my tummy? ✓ Big gestures? ✓ Witty banter? ✓

Eeeeeek! Y'all. I could not get enough of Shannon and Duke! Between their banter, text messages, smokin' hot kisses, sweet moments, seeing each other in a way no one has before, and did I mention their smokin' hot kisses? They are absolutely perfect for each other! Was their relationship all sunshine and roses? Nope. But that's one of the things that makes them perfect for each other. They know just what to say and do to make things right. I loved spending every single minute I could with them and have to admit that I did not want their book to end! It's just that good!

This is my first book by Ms. Scott and I can say it will NOT be my last! I'm excited to go back and read the other books in this series. And I'm definitely looking forward to Jayme's book. I have a feeling sparks are definitely going to be flying between Mr. Grumpy and Ms. Sunshine. Add in Mr. Grumpy being a single dad? Eeeeeeeek! I. Can. Not. Wait!

As for my casting, y'all. I'm not going to lie. I was too busy swooning to even picture these two but now that I do, I'm in love! What do you think?

You guys, DUKE is on audio! I listened to it with my husband—my very own Duke—and it was a riot. This man and his commentary! 😂

But I have definitely read this book before and it is one of my all-time favorites, and the narrators are so good, it was a blast rereading Censorshipped via audio. Let’s revisit my original review—

Duke + Shannon 😍 Fire chemistry from the start, fantastic banter, so many laughs, and SO much swoon! I didn’t know if I’d love another Bordeaux (pronounced bored ox) couple as much as Aiden and Em, but I feel like Duke sat me down and said, “Watch this.” 😂♥️

Things I Loved:
-Oh, the mis-texts and autocorrect fails of Laura
-Wedding interruption
-More Gabriela! I love her so much.
“I’ve never looked at my family members like that, chiquita.” 🤣
-The dance 😍
-Dog date signals
-“I think baseball has a thing for you too.” 😉
-Backwards baseball cap 🧢
-Butt dial
-“I’m a romance author. Trust me.”
-Splits mishap 😂
-Pho jokes
-Shirtless Duke
-DUKE’S KISSING ME!
-More like Marvel End Game
-The necklace 🩰
-“What did that teach you?”
-Emotional multitasking
-Duke’s three godmothers
-The best Bordeaux-style grand gesture ever
-An absolutely perfectly Duke + Shannon epilogue ♥️

If this is your first time visiting this small town or your fifth, you will fall in love with all the people and all of their antics. I loved every bit of this story and how realistically stepping into this “always forbidden” relationship really played out. So much romantic tension, so many swoon-worthy kisses, and so much real life happening in between all the laughs and love.
Don’t miss out on this sweet story!

Censorshipped is absolutely and completely adorable!

This small town, brother’s best friend romance between Shannon and Duke is what dreams are made of - sweet, romantic, flirty, and stars-in-your-eyes swoony.

These two have been pining after each other for years but have resisted doing anything about it since neither knew of the other’s feelings and to respect the wishes of Shannon’s brother who is away on active duty.

Well, the waiting is over and all I can say is oh.my.lanta.

The romance and tension start on page one - literally - and every interaction between Shannon and Duke is full of flirty banter and melt-your-heart-into-a-puddle romance. The stargazing? The car show? The party planning? The bleachers and ball games?

I will not confess how many times I have re-read so many parts of the books.

Their relationship felt so realistic - they didn’t shy away from hard conversations and had some challenges to overcome - but the added depth just made the book even better. They are just so good together!

Now I just need to come up with a ship name for them: Shuke? Dannon? Hmm. Not sure either of those totally work but I heart them - and this book - so much. Trust me when I tell you that you need to read this one, my friends!!

I received a complimentary copy of this book but a positive review was not required.

So darn cute! I swear Censorshipped is the sweetest one yet. Savannah Scott has created such an engaging formula with these books, and I'm warning you, whichever one of the Getting Shipped! novels you pick up, you're going to want to read them all.

The townsfolks just get funnier and funnier, it almost makes me wish I lived in a small town lol.

I did the audio version which is performed by Amy McFadden and Will Damron who do a fantstic job with this series.

Super cute!!

This normally isn’t a favorite trope for me, but Ms Scott won me over with the fun relationship of Shannon and Duke. Fun swoony romance, great banter and off the charts chemistry. Shannon and Duke are likable characters. I enjoyed the small town feel and the supporting characters, I loved Jayme - she is #friendgoals. Can’t wait to read her story that’s coming out in December.

Content Rated PG+

Okayyyyyy I thought I liked the rest of this series but I genuinely think this might be my favorite yet. As always, there are plenty of hilarious moments with an adorable love story. The male lead in this one was just such a dreamy hunk of a guy, it made the story soo good. I also love the “big brother” piece because he’s her protector and, really, how hot is that?!

🌀Synopsis
Shannon has had a crush on Duke for ages. She’s so hung up on him it makes it hard to date other people. The problem? Duke is her brother’s best friend and, by default, he acts like he’s her older brother too. That makes him totally off limits. Besides, he’s not into her either. Right?
Meanwhile, Duke has been fighting his feelings for Shannon. He made a promise to Chris to take care of her and taking care of her definitely doesn’t mean dating her. When he finds out she’s dating someone else he loses rationality. Then he overhears a conversation that lets him know she shares the same feelings and that’s enough to give him the courage to move in.
They quickly get into a great rhythm with each other but it’s in secret from the whole town. They want Chris to know first so they can explain. Chris gets home early though and makes them both question the whole thing.

Duke is my favorite kind of hero. All charming, fun-loving and sexy. I really enjoyed how this plot played out. Shannon and Duke are meant for each other and they didn’t waver. They knew even through the ups and downs that they had something special, something worth fighting for. No one is perfect and I appreciate that in a well-written hero. It seems more realistic to show the flaws and mistakes. The secret dating was fun. There’s just something exciting about sneaking kisses and glances. I love the setting, small town Ohio with its history and beautiful farmland. Being from southwest Ohio I can easily imagine Bordeaux! It hometown USA at its finest.

Trigger Warning: brief mention of a fatal car crash

Shannon has loved Duke for years, but she knows he's never thought of her as anything other than his best friend's little sister. Or has he? Even though Duke has been tasked by Shannon's older brother to watch out for her while he serves in the military, there's always been part of Duke that wishes he could be more than just a protective big brother stand-in. Soon Duke can't help spending more time around Shannon and wanting more than just friendship. But what would Shannon's brother say if he came home and found them together? Maybe Duke isn't even worthy of Shannon's love after leading a playboy lifestyle and struggling to figure out what to do with his future. Can these two find a way to admit their feelings without hurting each other or Shannon's older brother?

I've seen many say this is their favorite book in the series, and I wholeheartedly agree! Duke and Shannon had so much chemistry from the very beginning, and their steamy kisses were heating up the pages. I loved all the time they spent together- from dancing at a wedding to visiting a classic car show. And Shannon's senior Zumba classes with Duke in attendance provided some great comedic relief. There was definitely a lot going on in the plot, but I never felt overwhelmed or confused. I liked seeing Duke and Shannon dream about the future together and figure out what they both wanted from life and each other. Yes, the internal struggle with telling Shannon's brother about their feelings for each other got a little repetitive, but otherwise I loved every minute of it. And Duke had such a sweet, romantic side underneath his cocky demeanor. His grand gesture was so fun and heartfelt. Now that I've read this one, I'm officially caught up on the series and ready to see what happens with Brooks in book 6!

Oh how I love Bordeaux! This read was a real dream. I love a lot of books and I'll never deny that, but there is something so special about this series and what Savannah Scott has created. Starting this book was like walking down main street and being so excited to see every person that you pass by.

It's the best feeling ever!

Can somebody make a TV or movie series out of these books already?? We, the people, need it!

I was head over heels for this romance. It's so flirty and so fun-I dare you not to smile throughout this entire read. It's a brother's best friend/forbidden romance-esque type trope and it was done SO WELL!! These characters will wedge their way into your heart from the first page and when you see appearances from the side characters you'll sit back and sigh a little because you are so content with life that nothing can go wrong while you're immersed in this town!

While you don't NEED to necessarily read all of these books in order you are missing out BIG TIME if you don't read them all, and I recommend reading them in order.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND EVERY SINGLE BOOK IN THIS SERIES!!

Thanks to the author for the copy. All thoughts in this review are my own.

I think I should start off by saying that there are clearly people out there who loved this book, as evidenced by the previous reviews of it. I just simply am not one of them.

As someone who grew up crushing on my older brothers' best friends, I usually have so much fun with this trope; however, this fell really flat for me. Maybe it's that as an adult, I don't believe my brothers would ever assume I couldn't make my own decisions or fend for myself. Or maybe it's that even if they did, I would simply tell them to fuck off. Maybe it's that I can't imagine my brothers thinking so terribly of their best friend that they've had for their entire life. Or maybe it's because if their friend actually sucked so badly I would hope they wouldn't be friends with them. Either way, this just wasn't for me.

Things that didn't work for me:
1) The slut-shaming of Duke for his past
2) The slut-shaming of Amber, one of Duke's past flings, not just by Shannon but also by Duke and his friends. How are you going to slut-shame the person that you were dating, my guy? Also at this point in the book, Duke imagines himself committing violence towards Amber but then says, "but I would never put my hands on a woman" like that excuses the fact that he thought about it?
3) Duke telling his friend, who's wife is pregnant, that he's so excited for him to be a dad when the friend already has two adopted children, then when corrected by the friend says "yeah but this is more".... actually terrible
4) The constant need to specify that Duke was having "manly" feelings or doing things "like a man." The fragile masculinity throughout this book was a lot to handle.
5) The autocorrect text conversations, like once might have been fun but it got so old so so fast and just made Shannon feel like a 12 year old instead of 26.
6) The constant discussion about how they can't be together because it would hurt her brother, but especially the fact that they kept saying they had to do what he wanted because he was serving in the army. Just felt like legit propaganda to excuse his behavior because he joined the military.
7) Duke and Shannon's brother deciding that Shannon needed protecting to the point that Duke would follow her out of town on dates which is actually somewhat disturbing. Even more disturbing was overlooking the behavior and Shannon's friends even thinking it was cute because Duke had feelings for her.
8) A total lack of diversity, no POC, no LGBTQIA+ rep, not even a diversity of thought for the most part. I know they live in a small town, but that doesn't mean they all have to be small minded, it is a fictional world that the author is building, after all.

I could honestly go on and on but I won't. I almost didn't finish this one and kind of wish I hadn't.

Thank you NetGalley for the audio ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Well, hello, Bordeaux! Bored Ox, Ohio is the town I've been waiting to visit all my life. This is my first time in this quirky small town, full of beloved residents, and it definitely won't be my last.

Duke is Shannon's brother's best friend and that's one of my favorite tropes. And this is exactly the kind of story I fall in love with. I laughed; I swooned; and I was ready to pack my bags and move right into these pages. For real.

Shannon's been secretly in love with Duke forever and he's the biggest player in the field. Or is he? The way they fell right into something comfortable, yet sizzling hot (in a wholesome way), grasped my heart.

🩰dancing
🩰 senior zumba
🩰 backwards baseball cap
🩰overprotective older brother
🩰 bro code
🩰 magnetic attraction
🩰 coach

Savannah Scott has created the perfect town with the perfectly imperfect characters. From the seniors to the friend group, I felt right at home and loved how everyone watches out for one another, but the flirty banter and invisible chemistry is what really stole the show. The sneaking around and meddling were the best. I love Scott's writing style and storytelling.

One more note...I listened to this book and I have to say: the narrators were both AMAZING!

Content: mild+ romance (kissing)

Author: Savannah Scott

I requested a digital advanced readers copy from NetGalley and Dreamscape Media and providing my opinion voluntarily and unbiased.

My Thoughts: Scott is one of my FAVORITE authors! Auto buy, without any blurb. This is book no. 4 in the Getting Shipped series, my favorite series that I have read. I have read every book in this series. This is a clean romance novel following the tropes of forbidden love, small town romance, friends to lovers, grand gesture, and best friend’s brother/sister on each side. This is one of my favorites from the series.

The story is narrated by both Shannon and Duke, in a dual narration. Shannon is the best hairstylist in Bordeaux, outgoing, kind, and has the best friend group. Duke is the best mechanic in Bordeaux, jokes a lot, is very charming, and also has a best friends group. In this friends group, a lot of the people have paired off. We also get an update from some prior books, which I love. I just swooned over the sweet secret moments Shannon and Duke shared. The characters were developed so well with depth, are flirtatious, witty banter, and mad chemistry. The supporting characters are spot on as well. The author’s writing style is one of my favorites, complex, clean, crisp, swoony, and just brilliant.

The narrators, Amy McFadden and Will Damron, do an excellent job with the MCs and the supporting characters with their voice variation. They really have done this series justice bringing you into Bordeaux, Ohio! I was sad to see this series end with Ripped and Shipped. I HIGHLY recommend this book and EVERY book in this series. Available in KU and most are on audiobook. Go pick up today!

I've been a diehard Rob and Laura fan since their appearance in book one of this series, Friendshipped. I mean, the second-chance, enemies-to-lovers was sooo good.

I thought no one could take their place...until Duke and Shannon.

"Trouble, your name is Duke."

This friends to more, brother's best friend, small-town romcom is just absolute perfection. I loved visiting Bourdeaux again and catching up with everyone from the previous books.

This book delivers with the LOL moments, the small-town vibes, the meddling old women, banter, and swoony moments for days!

I also really loved and appreciated both characters' development as they pushed through the many insecurities they had about themselves. Their story is just full of such sweetness. *sigh*

Some of my favorite things:

📱Shannon's constant wrong texts & autocorrect fails
👵🏻👴🏽Memaw & Bill
🧢Backwards baseball cap
✍🏼Jayme's ability to bring everything back to writing. “I’m a romance author. Trust me.” As an author, I felt this so much!
🍜Pho jokes from Jayme.-Okay, so she really shined in this book which makes me even more excited for her book coming up next!
🤨“What did that teach you?” I'm totally adopting this with my kids
😭😂Emotional multitasking- We've all been there Shannon.
🧚‍♀️Duke’s three fairy godmothers
😍Grand gesture
😍😍The epilogue!!!

Savannah has become an auto-buy author for me and I'm here for anything this woman puts out!

This was a great brother's best friend, small town romance. One of my favorites of this series, that sees Duke (a playboy mechanic) finally taking a chance on his long-time crush and best friend's sister, Shannon. It was a lot of fun reading about a FMC with my first name (I won't lie). This had lots of the Boardaux charm we've come to love too and was great on audio narrated by Amy McFadden and Will Damron. Recommended for fans of Emma St. Clair. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review!!

What do you get when you have a phone with a rogue autocorrect that takes over all of your messages? Well, one thing is pretty funny messages. And the other is the guy receiving the messages playing them up but also taking a chance and flirting back with the phone's owner. *smirks*

And this flirting back is a dream come true! After all the embarrassment coursing through Shannon due to the messages her phone changed up. Then comes the shock, the almost excitement because is this too good to be true, then the squeals of excitement that is in full force when she realizes yes it is really happening! Duke is flirting with Shannon on purpose!!!!!

Oh how I loved reading this book! Duke and Shannon are just so adorable! I loved their story! (Yes, I'm using a lot of exclamations and that's ok cause I'm showing you that I'm excited and happy over this book!!!!!!!!!!) ;-)

This has a great combination of off-limits brother's best friend trope and secret relationship trope. And they go together so smashingly well!!! But little do Duke and Shannon realize it, but the whole town has been waiting for this for them for a long time. Now the struggle is to keep it quiet until Shannon's brother Chris returns home and they can be the ones to tell him.

So many great moments throughout this book. You'll be laughing out loud, cheering these two on (and the sports team Duke coaches as well), hoping they can find time to be together, keep everything secret for just a little while longer, be left smiling from all the fun and cuteness!!!

Content: Clean. Kissing but nothing further. No language.

I received an audiobook copy from the audiobook producer, Dreamscape Media, via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.

Happy Reading!!!

Read if you love:
🏍️brother’s best friend
🏍️small town romance
🏍️forbidden love
🏍️meddling grandmas
🏍️flirting and banter
🏍️slow burn

I love the whole Getting Shipped series, but Duke and Shannon take the cake 100%. Censorshipped is without a doubt my favorite and now one of my favorite books of all time. I swooned from beginning to end. It’s definitely a comfort read and one I can see myself returning to time and again because it just makes you feel good.

Duke! Backwards cap wearing, flirty, heart made of gold Duke. He really turned out to be the best surprise. He was truly the most lovable guy. I loved his honesty and realness. He never made excuses for his past, but owned up to his mistakes and tried to learn from them. Duke was so steady and once his mind was made up on Shannon, he never really wavered and he was so perfect for her.

Shannon has always been one of my favorites in the friend group and I love that she finally got her HEA. She went through so much and it was so heartwarming to see her find her way back to dancing. Her friendship with Jayme was my favorite, but I love how all the girls always rally around each other in their times of need.

Overall, this story was so much fun. There’s so much mutual pining making for such a sweet slow burn. Mabel, Esther, and Memaw show up through the story and don’t disappoint with their shenanigans — fairy godmothers and pickle deodorant. There are baseball games and bonfires. CHAPTER 28!!!! A motorcycle ride that will make you swoon with delight. And ugh, all the feelings, so many feelings. Duke and Shannon couldn’t be more perfect for each other.

Loved this one!

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this one but it came highly recommended so I dived right in… and couldn’t stop reading! Seriously, I literally found myself giggling and laughing out loud at the comedy, and gosh there were so many toe-curling moments!

Duke and Shannon were great protagonists, and I loved reading each chapter from one of their perspectives. Shannon has been secretly crushing on her brother’s best friend for years, which had made it hard to ever find anyone else to measure up. Meanwhile, Duke has had years’ worth of casual dating relationships, only because he can’t have the one person he truly wants- Shannon. When they finally decide to cross that line, sparks fly, and oh my goodness there is a lot of swoon!!

This was my first foray into this series and the town of Bordeaux, but it definitely won’t be my last!

I enjoyed Townshipped so much that I decided to borrow the whole series from the library. I don’t know what made that one so different from the others, but the others have not lived up to their predecessor. This one was repetitive and could have been so much shorter; it was the same thing over and over again. I tried to hang in there to see what would happen when the brother showed up, but I couldn’t even make it through all the constant hemming and hawing about what his reaction would be. You’re all adults, get over it! The characters were cute, and you could feel the chemistry between them, but they were also so immature that I had to give up. I returned the rest to the library without even listening.

This series is one of my favorite rom com must listens!!! I can't get enough of the snark and witty banter, the flirting, the fun and angst. If you are looking for a light-hearted listen with fun and romance, then this is the one for you! Don't get me wrong, you'll also potentially shed a tear or two along the way, but overall you'll love the storyline and the banter is spot on! I am so excited that I already have the next book downloaded and ready to listen too!

This was adorable and I love myself a brother's best friend story but this wasn't life-changing. I have to say, Duke is one of my favourite love interests so far, though! He's a bit of a playboy but he's really realistic about it and not leading anyone on. I'll continue with the next book (medical romances >>>) but all the girl hate is getting a bit too much for me, so we'll see if I finish this series.

SOME GOOD.

Oh y’all. I have tried, but I just don’t think this writing style is for me. There’s a handful of quirks that kept taking me out of the story.

I did like some of the tropes in this one. The forbidden romance was fun and the mutual pining was really sweet. I liked Duke a bunch. He was a swoony lead who was really trying to put his best foot forward into the future he wanted. The years of this tension worked well into many forced proximity moments.

The small town vibes are there and I love the strong connection between friends and others around them. There’s some humor and lightness. It’s flirty and pleasant and a great slow burn.

Overall audience notes:
- Contemporary Romance
- Language: none
- Romance: kisses
- Trigger/Content Warnings: brief mention of a fatal car crash

This book just made me so happy. I’ve literally been shipping Duke and Shannon since FriendShipped and I just knew they’d be so good together!! And boy was that true. I loved Duke and Shannon. Both characters was amazing. I’m with Shannon, I definitely have a crush on Duke too 😍
Their chemistry was amazing! Like scream into a pillow amazing!
I’m always here for a brother best friend story and this one hit the mark on everything. There was mutual pining, a reasonable reason they weren’t together at the beginning, the conflict made sense (even thought I wanted to yell at a couple people for it) and the resolution was perfect. Don’t get me started on that epilogue! Absolutely adorable!!

Things I loved:

Jayme and Shannon’s friendship
Jayme: “I’m a romance author, trust me.”
Jayme the romance author and her very good advise on the miscommunication trope 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Motorcycle rides
Being taken care when sick
Every autocorrect text from Shannon to Duke 😂
Splits mishap 😂
Secret admirer
Little league baseball
Duke + Zumba dance class
Chapter 26 - 30 🔥🔥
Party planning
Them supporting each other’s dreams
Mabel, Memaw, and Esther 😂
Grand gestures!!
Completing bucket list items

Being back in Bordeaux feels like home. Small town vibes. Meddling older neighbors. Town gossip. Corn every which way. The Mighty Fireflies. The Dippity-Do Salon. And this amazing friend group. It’s so fun to see each one of them get a story. And to see them progress even after their book is finished. Cannot wait for Jayme’s book next!

I received a free review copy of this book from the author. I was not required to leave a positive review. All opinions are my own. (And my opinion is for you to go grab this book right away!! You will love it.)

*This continues to be one of my very favorite stories & audio books. This is one of those books that I happily re-read/re-listen to every once in awhile. I originally listened to it as a review book, but have since purchased all versions of this novel!

I absolutely LOVED this audio book! It is book four in the Getting Shipped series and each book in the series focuses on another couple from a tight knit friend group in the town of Bordeaux (pronounced Bored Ox). I have only read the book directly before this one so I can attest that you can definitely jump in and enjoy the stories even if you haven’t read the previous ones, however, I’m sure that it is even more fun to read them from the beginning. I plan to go back and read the entire series.

The dual narrators for Duke and Shannon were simply perfect. They captured the playfulness of these two characters and I found myself laughing out loud so many times in this story! They also captured the hearts of the characters, as well. Duke and Shannon were so special. I loved listening as they began to realize that they both cared for each other secretly as more than friends. The conversation that Duke overheard from Shannon’s phone call was perfectly timed and I loved his inner dialogue as he listened in, including the promise to himself to wear his cap backwards forever from then on!

This is a clean romantic comedy with lots of swoony moments and sizzling chemistry between two people who must finally be brave enough to admit what their hearts have felt for so long. Yet, what will happen when Shannon’s brother realizes that his sister and best friend have fallen in love?

I so enjoyed this wonderful story and it is definitely one that I will be re-reading.

I received a complimentary copy of this audio book. I also own an ebook copy. All opinions are my own.

There is nothing I didn’t love about this one! Savannah Scott has such a way with her plot, her characters and her setting. It just leaves the reader wanting more!

This book features Shannon and Duke. And these two have chemistry. So much chemistry! I loved every bit of their interactions. Something great about these two is that they’ve known each other as long as they can remember. And they have told everyone they are like brother and sister. Only…they’ve both had feelings for the other for a really long time!

I loved how Duke is a little bit misrepresented throughout the series. In the other books he seems to be a huge player. But that’s not really the whole story. And it was fun to see his point of view on his relationships. And how he felt for Shannon. He really is a great guy. And things are changing rapidly for him, making this story line move along quickly.

I loved Shannon too! She’s kind of sassy, but really sweet at the same time. I loved the way she was figuring out her own dreams as she went along. And learning what she really wanted from life. And her texting….those parts were so funny!

The whole town of Bordeaux is full of zany characters. And they are all back in this one. Each and every one of them has a special place in my heart. They make me laugh so hard. Man, I love Bord-ox!

Now that I’ve read this one, I’m sitting here impatiently waiting for the next book in the series. I hope it hurries!

I was sent an e-copy of Censorshipped as a gift from the author. All opinions are my own.

Awe Duke & Shannon…*heart eyes*
I LOOOOVVVEEEE a good brother’s best friend story and this one had an extra element with Chris being deployed but still very much a shadow looming over them.

This book was full of heart, and learning, and forgiveness, and growing, and kisses!!

These stories just get better & better truly! I love this town, this friend group, these couples! I wish they were real.

I loved that Duke & Shannon actually talked things out! Yes, they got hurt. Yes they let things get to them. But it showed their more human like characteristics. BUT THEY STAYED! And they worked things out, like adults! And I LOVE that!

The flirting & the tension & the chemistry & the kissing was just *chefs kiss* SO. GOOD! But not only that, the fact that they knew — they were it for each other! And they supported each others dreams.
Agh! It was all so good! 👏🏻

One of my favorite things (outside of the Duke & Shannon romance) was the bromance between Aiden & Duke, and Duke & Brooks. Their scenes made me laugh out loud!

5/5 stars

I knew I was in for a treat when the very first page of this delightful story had me smiling and laughing, and it continued to do so until the very end.
This is everything a romantic comedy should be—genuinely funny and oh-so romantic! It’s a clean read but with lots of sparks and chemistry between Duke and Shannon.
Their banter with one another, Shannon’s texting mistakes, and small town life added to the fun. Honestly, I loved everything about this book! It took me a little longer than normal to read because there were so many funny and swoony parts and I kept stopping to reread them.
Censorshipped is book four in the Getting Shipped! series, and I would recommend reading those first, but it can be read as a stand-alone. If you like this genre, I highly recommend this story and this series.
I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC copy from the author, but all opinions are completely my own.
