Easily the best of the three "Murder, They Wrote" collections, and possibly the best mystery short story anthology I've read period. Unusually for me, there wasn't a single story in here that I skipped.

Bought this for Stefanie Matteson's contribution but I enjoyed all the stories. Sharan Newman's story "Honeymoon for One" is my favorite of the bunch.

⭐⭐⭐⭐
More Murder, They Wrote edited by Elizabeth Foxwell and Martin H. Greenberg is the third collection of Murder, She Wrote short stories, and it's a delightful anthology for fans of the series.
This collection brings together 14 whodunits from talented mystery authors including J.A. Jance, Sharan Newman, Margaret Coel, Sue Henry, and others. What I love about this anthology is the variety—the stories range from classic crimes in English drawing rooms to the bustling chaos of New York City to an intriguing murder set in medieval Japan. Each author brings their own voice while staying true to the Murder, She Wrote spirit.

Being the third book in the series, these authors clearly understand what makes a good Jessica Fletcher-style mystery. The stories capture that cozy, puzzle-solving atmosphere that made the TV show so beloved. Some stories are lighter and more humorous, while others lean into darker territory, but all of them are well-crafted mysteries that keep you guessing.

As with most anthologies, some stories resonated with me more than others. My favorites were the ones with the most unique settings—the medieval Japan mystery was particularly creative. The pacing varies across the collection, but overall the quality is consistently strong.

If you've enjoyed the previous two collections or you're a Murder, She Wrote fan looking for more Jessica Fletcher-style mysteries, this is a great pick. Perfect for reading a story or two before bed.

Better than the second collection; not as good as the first. I'll definitely be looking into Laura Joh Rowland, who writes about a samarai detective character in the fuedal era of Japan, and maybe Kathy Hogan Trocheck, who write the Callahan Garrity series - both of their contributions to this anthology featured their series characters.
