E.M. Shue is an Alaskan award-winning romance author. She writes in many different sub-genres but always features badass heroines in gritty situations. As the mother to three grown daughters and two granddaughters she wants readers to be able to see that tough girls can have happy endings too. She is married to the love of her life of over twenty years who she married within months of starting to date, instalove is real.

ONE INCREDIBLY HOT READ!!!
Whoa guys, this one is scorching. Talk about taking one for team. This is one action packed, fast paced, hard hitting, nailbiting, spine tingling, nerve racking, heart pounding, pulse racing, adrenaline pumping, page turning thriller that captivates from the start. All the twists, ups and downs, ins and outs, go hand in hand with the torment that plagues out two main characters. As things heat up our kick-ass characters come out to play, all the drama, danger and suspense ride and tension thickens as the tale unfolds. One strong storyline and an engaging plot make for one exciting experience. So much realism describes the well developed characters and events that really pulls this little treasure together beautifully. She did a remarkable job bringing this read to life. Fantastic job Shue, thanks for sharing this little gem.

What I liked/Didn’t Like: Very fast paced yet easy to read and follow. Not my usual type of book I read but it was well worth it now I must go read the others in this series. This author makes the story fun to read while keeping you biting your nails in anticipation of whats going to happen next.

Lies and deception, she had lived the life for so long but it only took of trouble for her to drop the act. Now they know. Her secret's out. If she doesn't do something soon her entire world will fall apart. And fall apart it does in this twisted web of a story that has all kinds of action and mayhem going on and copious amounts of sex going on. The team bands together not as her team but as her family to show her what family and support are all about. Derek too has his own battle to win cos his demons are chomping at the bit because what's his was threatened.

Good read with tons of alpha testosterone and women who are strong and fierce as well as loving and supportive. My first read of this author and if you are a fan of erotic suspense you are definitely in the correct place.

Omg I absolutely loved this book and totally loved Derek & Bekah and loved Bekah's daughter Meghan she was to cute.

This book was intense it grabbed me from page 1 and didn't let up till the end. I guess that's the thing with series it's like watching your favorite show and never want it to stop you want it to keep going that's how this book had me.

This is probably my favorite of E. M. Shue 's I'm so glad I found her book's because they are so amazing. If you like suspense, a little hacking into computers, danger, some hot af sexy steamy scenes and the guy get's the girl more than once 😉 if you know what I mean then you definitely need to read this book.

We've been waiting for this one! The plot is unfolding and pieces are falling into place, not withstanding the dangers this team continues to go through. Derek and Bekah are both emotionally damaged from their past making the love and sexual chemistry they share explosive. E.M. Shue has taken these characters into actions you can't help but be upset about, until pieces and parts start coming together and she uses that talent to let the readers have an understanding of the emotional baggage these two carry. What an emotional rollercoaster ride this one was, but take heart .. As hard as this team works, they love just as hard and Bekah and Derek have their happily ever. You won't want to miss this latest adventure in the search for Sir.

Oh. My. Days!! You hit the floor running with this book and there is no let up, it's fast paced and emotional. Rebekah gets a phone call which flips her world upside down after trying to help her 'family'.
She needs to get away and fast before any body else gets hurt but in doing so she separates herself from a family that will fight tooth and nail for her and her daughter.
Derek is beside himself and will stop at nothing to protect Rebekah and her daughter Meghan.
I was hooked from the first page and could not put it down!

I finally got one right!

At the end of the Dani & Raul’s book, I figured that Bekah was the hacker!! Last thing I guessed correctly. I really enjoyed the twists and turns of this story. Getting to know Bek and Derek was great, what backstories! Watching them heal each other was nice to watch. I don’t usually listen to songs mentioned in books, but for some reason, I wanted to hear Derek’s. Gunfight is a song I’ve never heard by a band I have never heard of either. It’s now on ,y workout playlist.

This has quickly become one of my favorite series to read. The characters are so well developed and the storyline keeps you on the edge of your seat. Suspense, drama and action are continuously delivered. Bekah and Derick both suffered tragic losses and shows away from anyone that could hurt them. But when push comes to shove can they finally admit their true feelings and finally save each other? E.M. Shue delivers yet another fantastic story.

Wow! First, I absolutely love this series! Derek and Rebekah are strong, fierce, and protective of those they love but have been hurt deeply in the past so are a little hesitant to admit their feelings. However, the story that happens after they admit to their feelings is intense, dramatic, and suspenseful with twists and turns and danger around every corner. I highly recommend this book and series, especially for those who love suspense and romance.

Now I need to read the books that came before with the other couples.

Bekah and Derek have one heck of a romance in this book with the added suspense. I was pulled into the story from the first page and kept reading with barely a break for sleep.

Bekah is a woman with some hefty secrets that make her an intriguing character that you’ll love and Derek is that tough and marshmellowy guy who you will want as your bf/husband. I can say their steamy scenes are raging infernos.

This is an amazing book in a great series/ It has drama, action, mystery, suspense, and romance. The characters are well developed and have plenty of chemistry to make it steamy, The plot will keep you on the edge of your seat with action and intrigue. While Second Chance's Kiss is the fifth book in the series it's the first for me. I hadn't read the previous books but I certainly want to now.
Derek & Bekah were amazing, meeting the secondary characters made me want to read each one of them they are that important to the story that I just need their books.
Fast paced, a little bit of everything and a ton of sexy. A well written book with an intriguing story that kept me turning pages. I look forward to reading more of this series and this author.

This is the second installment in this series that I've read (after the first in the series, Sniper's Kiss) and I can see the writing has gotten even better. Derek and Bekah are a passionate couple and the action and suspense has ramped up even more. I'm loving this series so far, cannot wait for more!
