What was Thomas like as a boy? Did he know that someday one of his inventions would light up the world?

Are you looking for a nonfiction children's books to teach them about famous historical people? This series is one of my favorites! I was always fascinated by Thomas Edison and even more now. I will definitely recommend this book about him for children as well as this series "Before I made history". Now I want to read the whole set.
This is a great introduction to famous people for primary students. The emphasis on the youth of the person is a way in for kids, but there is enough about their adult life to show why they are famous. Quick, easy read and learned some new stuff myself.
