Can Reinhold and Chase overcome Chase’s tragic past? Or will the dragon alpha be too much for the battered omega wolf?
Reinhold and his dragon felt the pull to join the enforcers when the Paranormal Council was formed on Treasure Ridge. After his brother found his fated mate in the created vampire, Reinhold’s longing for his own perfect match only grew. Will his assignments for the council take him to his mate? Or will he have to continue to wait?
Chase has known a lot of heartache and more in his short life. He lost his family at seventeen to a drunk driver, and when his pack didn’t seem to care, he was thrust into the world on his own. When he takes a job as a waiter at a small café in New Orleans to help make ends meet, he quickly regrets his choice when he finds himself at the mercy of truly evil paranormals.
Reinhold knew of the ugliness and abuse that his mate had gone through at the hands of others. He’s willing to take things slow and at Chase’s speed, if he’s only given the chance to get to know his mate. What he doesn’t expect is to find Chase sitting on his doorstep, literally. Can he hold off on the temptation that is his fated mate? When nature takes its natural course, will the newly mated and expecting couple be able to overcome Chase’s nightmare together?
Reinhold is Book Three in the Paranormal Council Enforcers series. Each book in this series will focus on a different couple, but these books are not standalones and should be read in order as there is an ongoing backstory that won’t be resolved quickly. This is a fated mate story in an MPreg world, and there will be babies in this story. You should expect all the normal shenanigans, and remember that sometimes even fated mates need a little help.
I really wanted to like this, an omega wolf shifter that has been mentally and physically abused, suffering from PTSD and their mate, an alpha dragon shifter - I was expecting lots of hurt/comfort but the writing felt very stilted, I think the lack of contractions attributed to that.
So glad to see these two get their HEA. Chase had been through a lot, so much more than any normal person would and the strength he had to keep going was amazing. Reinhold was awesome with everything. He didn't want to pressure his mate and left everything up to Chase. I loved them together, the love and care between these two was so good
And we get two good books from Taylor in a row! We get a pregnancy in this one, but I'm pleased to say it is a subplot and not the whole story. The main story is about Reinhold and Chase and their relationship. The good things I said in my Atticus review are still holding up. We get a good plot not centered around a baby conceived in the first two chapters, the subplots don't fade to the background, the nausea tea isn't a full fledged character any more than any other object, we see babies from other books that aren't newborns who are also mentioned by name, and our two mains get to get emotionally close! Yay! I'm also pleased on seeing the overarching plot play out. It gives an extra interest to the stories. Fingers crossed this good quality keeps up. I'll feel less ridiculous picking the next book now that it feels less like a stubborn hate read and more like an actual enjoyable book.
Reinhold is the third book in the Paranormal Council Enforcers series. This is an ongoing series, and you’ll definitely want to read the series in order. I adored Chase and Reinhold. I loved Reinhold’s patience with Chase. Fantastic chemistry, perfect for each other. Chase’s story kind of broke my heart a bit, but I loved how he grew, overcame his painful past and healed with Reinhold's love. I love how the secondary characters are woven throughout the story. We’re still getting previous characters and their ongoing story. The writing and pacing were so consistent that it sucked me in from the beginning and it was over before I was ready. Overall, a fantastic read! Highly recommend.
This was an emotional book. Poor Chase and the other other rescued omegas. I'm happy that Chase was paired with Reinhold. He need a big alpha to make him feel safe.
This is a continuation of the series and whilst I think you could read it and follow most of the story without too much trouble it is very much better enjoyed as part of the full series. I enjoyed getting to see these two find their HEA. Chase had been through a lot and needed a mate who was willing to give him time and space (not necessarily space in the no contact sense, but mental space to continue healing) and he really found that in spades with Rein. The support these guys got from their friends and family was lovely. There was so much acceptance and understanding; it meant that both Chase and Rein were able to find their way through the more challenging parts of their mating without feeling alone. As with the other books in the series there is a building plot with lots of questions to be answered. It’s certainly not a cliff-hanger (I loathe those so I can definitely say mo CHs here) as each couple gets a conclusive HEA but the series plot is definitely getting going. Not sure if it’s a series plot point but I really want to know what was up with Oscar - hopefully we’ll get more on him in the next book (I’m looking forward to Garic’s HEA). I know Taylor has said this series is darker than her others, but honestly it’s still very much low-angst just with some darker plot points. This is still a good go to for happy, fluffy, cuddly HEAs with all the sweet feels.
“You aren’t broken, baby. You survived hell. You are so much stronger than you think you are.”
This quote perfectly sums up fated mates Reinhold and Chase. Wolf shifter Chase has lived through a very tragic past and truly believes he is broken because of it. His dragon mate Reinhold is so kind and patient and will do anything to make Chase believe in himself again and that he’s deserving of a wonderful life.
Their story tugged on my heartstrings and it was an absolute joy watching Chase blossom into the man he’s meant to be. The strength and support of Reinhold slowly begins to make him feel safe and as he becomes comfortable around Reinhold’s family, and others, his cheekiness comes out and leads to some very cute and funny moments.
There is no quick fix approach from the author towards Chase and his troubles which I greatly appreciated. Even fated mates sometimes have to tread carefully, seek outside help and work through issues as they arise to go from insta attraction/chemistry to a HEA. Not to say that they don’t get very steamy at times!
I loved this instalment in the series. A new character is introduced, there’s a reappearance of the unknown entity from earlier in the series and once again numerous characters from previous books play their part. I’m excited for more!
Reinhold by Taylor Rylan is the third book in her Paranormal Council Enforcers series. Because of a continuing plotline and reoccurring characters you may want to read the other books first. Reinhold is an alpha dragon shifter and part of the Paranormal Council Enforcers. He has been on several assignments to New Orleans to rescue omegas who were captured by a Fae bad guy and his helpers and sold or held captive by him. Chase, an omega wolf shifter, was one of those who was kidnapped. He was freed in one of the raids and sent to Timber Valley to heal and get counseling. Reinhold’s dragon had become restless and then it was discovered that Chase was his mate. He was unsure how to handle this situation because of the trauma Chase had had and how being together and the claiming would affect him. Once they met it became obvious that Chase was just as enamored of Reinhold and the story continues from there as their love develops. I enjoyed this story as much as the last ones because the characters are very interesting and different from those in other paranormal stories. I love the world Ms. Rylan has created and how they play a big part in it, both in solving the mysteries of what is happening in the plot and also helping Reinhold and Chase get their happy ending. I also like how there are many different kinds of paranormals from vampires to hellhounds, various animal shifters, and also the created ones that are featured in it. The plot adds to the suspense and we are slowly learning more about what is happening to them while more new things have been added to make you want to continue reading to find out what will happen in the future. I highly recommend this book and am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
. . . Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟 Hot: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 É uma leitura F(. . .), desculpe pela palavra, eu amei 🖤. . . Amei! . . Boa Leitura 😘
I didn't mind this one. I still wish I had more context for the other side characters from the other series, but overall I think the author does a decent job enlightening readers about events that may have taken place during different times. I feel like the getting-to-know-you period for Chase and Reinhold was like a day. I would have loved to have seen them slowly get to know each other comfortably before Chase went into heat (which we didn't even get on page). I was also really surprised that Orson's death was so anticlimactic, considering the important role he played in the kidnappings. They made such a big deal about him and then to have him murdered by accident by two people who didn't even know who they had killed at first? I feel like that could have been handled better. Marcel was given more of a fitting death for Orson and we barely know who Marcel was. Overall, I think this book was good, but it seems like the overarching plot is getting a little lost at this point.

I just can't get enough of these characters - Ms. Rylan does a great job introducing secondary characters and following up their story in new books. Chase and Reinhold have each experienced tragedy and disappointment, but they never 25+let that keep them from exploring their unexpected pairing. This is one of my favorite couples in the shifter/vampire/warlock universe she has created (25+ books so far!!!!). They overcome obstacles and give each other hope. AND in the meanwhile, she keeps surprising us, unfolding new mysteries in the ongoing saga of this enchanted world. Take this as an encouragement to start from the beginning (Honey Creek Bears) and work your way through the wolves, warlocks, faes, dragons, hellhounds, and yet-to-be-discovered creatures of a truly imaginative world. Sexy? absolutely, but also great storytelling!
This is a paranormal shifter romance with mpreg, the 3rd book in this series which is like the 5th or 6th interweaving series in a row. I cannot give this series enough stars!!! My favorite part about this particular series has been watching this author grow in their story telling! This series interweaves with the other series but it’s so much more complex than heat sex and popping out babies from a moody omega papa! There’s adventure, mystery, and a real evolution to the characters that I am here for! Chase has had some horrific things happen but he’s a survivor and I love their relationship! I cannot wait to read more of the mystery; who are the baddies?!
Reinhold and Chase are so good together! The Paranormal Enforcers series just gets better with each book! While Reinhold and Chase have to overcome and work together to achieve their HEA. It’s so worth it! I love how protective and caring Reinhold is of his wolf shifter. Chase needs his love and protection to heal from his past trauma. Please be aware that there are trigger warnings and if you have these you should check the inside for more information. I look forward to more stories in this series! This review is an honest and unbiased reflection of my thoughts after reading an advanced readers copy of the book.
Your fated is a "broken" wolf... what's a dragon to do? Patience!
I love this world! It is vibrant and alive with memorable characters. The uniqueness of "created" ... as in the created dragon... the first dragon. There are wolves, warlocks, dragons, vampires, hellhounds, fae, and a demon God. Ooh, and there is more... adorable twins! You will become caught up in this story from the get-go. Although this is a long book, it reads quickly. The storyline continues, and will go on in the next book. I can't wait to see what happens. I loved this book! You will too. Get. It. Now!
I have been looking forward to this book since the first time we met both Reinhold and Chase and boy did it not disappoint.
My heart literally broke for Chase after everything he has been through BUT despite all that he still finds the courage to pursue a mating with Reinhold and the trust in which he shows to his mate is amazing to see. Reinhold is a dragon shifter and shows so much power but underneath all that he is such a gentle giant and the love he has for Chase is outstanding.
Taylor did such an amazing job with this book and made me feel so many emotions, If I could give it more than 5 start I would. I can't wait for the next book in the series.
Okay first can we just stare at this cover for a few minutes oh I absolutely love it. Once you're able to get past the cover and you start diving in to rein and Chase's story oh your heart's going to melt. These two characters were so meant for each other and I am so glad that rein finally got his mate. And of course our ongoing plot and story continue I dont want to say too much cuz I don't want to ruin anything for anybody just know y'all you've got to read this book. It's absolutely outstanding.
I absolutely loved this story!!! We have seen Chase in prior books but now we learn what he has been through and it is so heartbreaking. Chase has been through so much and feels like he is so damaged how could anyone want to be his mate. Reinhold sees past that and wants to show Chase how truly amazing he is and show him that he is truly worthy of being his mate. Reinhold was so patient, so kind and loving towards Chase...it was sweet to watch. Another fantastic story that had be hooked from beginning to end. I can't wait for the next book in this amazing series...well done!!!
Rylan continues to mature as an author as attested by these Paranormal Council Enforcers books. The story is crisp, very absorbing and the characters charming. Chase's backstory is tragic, but the wolf shifter displays strength of character. Reinhold is the picture of patience. And ferocious protectiveness for his mate. A fast, enjoyable read. One bit of the story gets resolved, Chase's torturer, but there's enough story to continue the series for a good while.
This was possibly one of the most satisfying books in this world, at least for quite a while. I’ve got to wonder what the demon god’s interest is and what has prompted some of his actions. Is the trafficking ring now to become a hydra with new leaders popping up each time one is dealt with?
Is Oscar really ok? Will he and Eli get mates? Who/what is the incorporeal entity on the mountain?
Oh my goodness this was so good! Rein has been one of my favorite characters since he was introduced! When I found out he was chase’s mate I was thrilled! The two of them are so sexy & so very sweet together! The way they love each other is beyond beautiful, I could only wish for a love like that! Taylor is beyond amazing and she never ceases to amaze me with her work! I can’t wait to read what’s coming next! 😀❤️😀❤️
I am glad to say that I enjoyed this book much more than the previous one (Atticus)…Chase and Reinhold had a much smoother journey to their HEA with a tighter focus on their relationship jin the story. Chase is such a sweet character who isn’t afraid to stand up for himself and his friends. Reinhold is an alpha who, gasp! actually listens to his partner and responds accordingly. What a refreshing change. Hope the next book is as enjoyable.
This is a wonderful addition to this great series! Taylor Rylan has written a wonderful story for Reinhold and Chase. It's emotional, complex, romantic and steamy! I recommend this entire series each book involves amazing complex characters with a great emotional story! I read an advanced copy of this story and this is my unbiased review!
No spoilers of any kind included. So all I am going to say about Reinhold is that I thought it was absolutely amazing, and I am leaving it at that. So it’s going to be a big HECK YEAH I most definitely do recommend Reinhold along with all the books in this series because I love and have enjoyed reading each and every one of them and I think you will too.
Chase has been in previous books but now we find out what happened to him. Reinhold is a very familiar face. Their relationship is not easy due to trauma from past events. With that, there is so much that adds to this story while balancing the angst. I enjoyed all their interactions, even when one of them did not make the best decisions or how to communicate. Looking forward to more.
I've been looking forward to reading about both Reinhold after he became Giovanni's bodyguard and Chase when Edison went to the restaurant in New Orleans.
It's heartbreaking for Chase but he gets a wonderful HEA.
The next in the series can't come soon enough as we'll find out what the mysterious visitor is. I'd also love to see Eli get his HEA.
Heartbreaking and beautiful. Chase has been through hell. As a result he believes that he's broken and not worthy of love. Reinhold was perfect for Chase. He was so patient and kind. He was able to help Chase see his own value and strength. It was wonderful to Chase grow and begin to heal with Reinhold's love and support.
Finally Chase gets his mate. He has been through so much at the hands of others and he managed to hold on and survive for a year. Reinhold was so amazing with his mate helping him heal and making sure those responsible for any of his mate's pain was punished. Hopefully who the mystery paranormal is soon in the upcoming books.
This was sweet and heartwarming. I am loving how this series is evolving and the writing has improved from the original books I read from the author.
I absolutely love this mystery and the story that's evolving throughout the world in these books and dam I really want to learn what that "thing" is on the mountain.
