This cyborg will be the warrior his female requires. *** Cyborgs are manufactured to fight.
Almost all of the half organic, half mechanical warriors enjoy battle. Tremendously.
Grin, a K model, is one of the rare exceptions. When he escaped his cruel creators, he set down his weapons and allocated his processors to less-violent pursuits. He projects he’s left his war-waging planet rotations behind him forever.
Then he meets his beautiful, beguiling female—the one being he’s destined to protect, claim, love for all eternity—and his plans for peace are completely decimated.
Mohini needs a ship.
She has a dangerous mission to complete, and the first step in that assignment is arranging transport to an enemy-controlled planet. The vessel she has set her sights on is guarded by the sexiest cyborg she’s ever seen.
To gain access to his ship, Mohini is prepared to kiss, caress, and seduce the muscular male. The mission is her focus. The pleasure she experiences will merely be a bonus.
A female has to do what a female has to do to save the universe.

USA Today bestselling author Cynthia Sax writes steamy cyborg and alien romances. Her stories have been featured in Star Magazine, on TV, and numerous romance top ten lists.
When she isn't writing, she's traveling the world with her Dear Wonderful Hubby, meeting new people, visiting new places.
I admit it, I'm a sucker for these earnest, dangerous, and deadly cyborgs who are putty in the hands of their fated-mates. As always, in addition to steamy romance there is action, adventure, and great cyborg banter. Taking this one from a reliable 4-stars to 5 is Grin-- the reluctant cyborg. Unlike his brethren who live to fight and blow things up, he'd rather build homes and other structures. So, of course, to win his fated mate he has to take on a suicide mission with lots of fighting and blowing stuff up.
In an interesting twist, the last quarter of the book introduces a fascinating secondary character, Euryale, who plays her part in the mission and then disappears from the story. I hope Euryale gets a cyborg of her own, but things were not looking good for her.
The plot is that the heroine needs to leave the safe cyborg controlled planet of Mercury Minor and return to her former planet, which is occupied by bad guys. They stole an artifact called the Divining Branch from her people and she is the only guardian left. The other guardians were killed in the invasion.
She keeps trying to steal a ship from Mercury Minor so all of the cyborgs know to watch out for him. Grin meets her and knows she is his mate. He agrees to help her.
They fly to her former planet and sneak into the holding facility. They find a woman there who was forced to catalog the artifacts. Many are dangerous and she is possessed by an entity called "Adam" who is slowly killing her. Adam escaped from one of the artifacts.
She agrees to help them escape the facility as long as they agree to take other artifacts along with the Divining Branch and hide them from the bad guys. They are too dangerous. Grin and the heroine agree.
They decide to settle on a new planet in cyborg controlled space to hide the artifacts and keep them safe. Heroine's fellow refugees will also settle there.
Heroine's people use strips from their clothing when mating to bind each other. Those strips of cloth were previously wrapped around the Divining Branch to help conceal it.
Honestly, every time hero's friend Raw appeared on scene he stole the show. Raw has a mate who keeps trying to kill cyborgs. So she is locked up in prison on Mercury Minor. Raw keeps trying to get her to like him and tells Grin she tore his arm off and tried to kill him. So it's not going well.
The next book will be called Raw's Desire. No release date yet.
We're back with the cyborgs as they fight to make the universe as safe as possible for themselves and the humanoids who complete them (and their offspring and their allies and anybody else willing to stand up against the people who work to wipe them out).
This time around, we have Grin and Mohini. Grin might not be the warrior some of his brothers are, but he's still dedicated to keeping his chosen one safe from anyone and anything that might harm her. As for Mohini, she's one of the last of her kind (and the last of her people's Guardians) and she has a duty to protect her people and everyone else from a potential weapon that has fallen into the Humanoid Alliance's hands. The only upside, the HA doesn't know what they have and Mohini plans on liberating it from them before they figure it out.
The downside? Mohini desperately needs a ship in order to start/complete this mission. Fortunately for her, Grin has access to plenty of ships. She just has to convince him to help her (or steal a ship from him, which, since he's a cyborg, isn't likely). As it turns out, it's isn't hard to convince Grin to help her at all. Considering she's his genetic match, he'll do pretty much anything for her. Provided it doesn't harm her in some way.
A planet full of danger, a smitten cyborg, a dedicated woman, a potentially world-ending weapon, a whole lot of sweaty times between the sheets, and a power (or two) that packs a lot of oomph. GOOD STUFF.
Cynthia Sax's cyborgs have very distinct personalities. They all have certain dominant instincts when it comes to their mates...protect and breed. They perform those two default commands with enthusiasm and dedication. But they are also funny, inventive and quirky. Mohini, the last remaining Guardian of the Divining Stick, is a determined female. She has a dangerous mission to complete that will take her into enemy territory. She must recover the Diving Stick before the Alliance learns how to use it. When her cyborg mate refuses to let her go alone, Mohini and must face their enemies together. I highly recommend this book and Ms. Sax's other cyborg series. Enjoy!
I'm a long time band of Cynthia Sax scfi Cyborg erotic paranormal novels that have been always enjoyable. Each story introduces you two unique characters, some human some not but perfectly matched to their destined mate. You get to go off on adventure with them, leaping from planet to planet, World to world! Enjoying the fighting, Intriguing possibilities and joyous lovings. I love cyborgs! Great sci read.
The heroine in the story kept trying to steal a ship from Mercury Minor. So, all cyborgs were in alert as she did not hide her intentions. Grin agrees to help her.
The purpose of her mission is to retrieve artifacts deemed dangerous.
But, it was Grin's friend Raw is the one who got my attention whenever he popped up. His own mate is trying to kill cyborgs! 🤦
I always love Ms. Sax’s cyborgs! Mohini is on a mission - a dangerous, foolhardy one. Grin has no desire to be a warrior, but will do anything for his One. I love how everyone works together to increase the odd of success for the mission. Although it takes quite a bit of time, Mohini accepts that she and Grin are meant to be. Breathtaking danger, inspiring romance, and an outstanding conclusion!
Grin is a K-modal cyborg who enjoys creating buildings with an artistic flair. He meets a beautiful guardian who enchanted him with her purple beauty and her power voice.
Grin liked his life the way it was until he smelled his mate. Mohini only wanted to use Grin for ship and thought to seduce him. Will she face the fact that she is his mate or will the mission be more important? Highly recommend this book 📖 and series
An architect cyborg? Wha? And a female trying to come back from a lapse in judgement for her people. Trying to find their places in space… Love the cyborgs. Cynthia Sax is the best.
Her cyborg books are always an instant pre-order. Just when I think she can’t possibly find a new unique story to tell, she breaks out a good one. I loved how Grin just keep being her support and not simply take over the mission.
Enjoyed the different slant of a cyborg whose fighting skills are not the defining part of him. Grin was a sweetheart and I loved how he was with Mohini. Good read.
