Ever since I learned to read, I have loved books.

For almost as long, I have made up tales.

I’ve written horrible poetry, better short stories, adequate commercials, educational and industrial film narration, and very forgettable screenplays. Once I learned how to make a story last longer than a few paragraphs I moved on to novels, and there I stayed. I've written forty-three to date.

In addition to my website, I have a (sporadic) blog at http://maggiemackeever.wordpress.com/

A Regency romance published in 1977. The writing is terrible; full of typos, bad sentence structure and a few name changes. But the women characters are fascinating, especially for a romance published in the 70s. There are at least six strong women who refuse to be meek and mild mannered as society dictates. Great literature, no. But a surprisingly uplifting "you go girl" story. It's a romance so there are at least four pending marriages by the end. I never did figure out what the title meant. There was no reference to Banbury (either the place or the rhyme) in the entire book that I noticed.

Very diverse plots and characters

I have read this author books and seem to always find them engaging. Wanted more in the story about Micah and Tilda, Emile and Motley history with each other, and Duchess Agatha was a favorite character of mine.
