Read this to my daughter to help her get excited for starting school. She seemed to like it.

This has been my introduction to Leeuwen, and I'll watch for more of her books. My niece will identify with Amanda, but Emily (Lollipop) would have been my favorite.

Cute. Good book for beginning of school. Short chapters. Amanda Pig is excited for her first day of school. She makes a new, very shy, friend and helps her adjust to school.
