I read these three books in 5 nights, I really enjoyed the modern take on the fairy tale. They have something for everyone in there.
I had not read anything by this author before but now I am on book 4 and it just as good.

EVE OF THE FAE

I totally enjoyed this story; it was a fresh look at the Fae which I always enjoy seeing different ways that they are presented.

Evelyn or Eve is a human who comes to England to visit her Aunt and Uncle after a very bad breakup. She wants to find a new future, maybe go to graduate school and study history. Her Uncle is a History Professor and she wants to start out by being his secretary/assistant. But she finds that her Uncle already has a secretary, a scraggily young man name Liam. They meet but do not start out on the best footing.

On a visit to town with her Aunt, she meets a very posh gentleman named Nigel who asked her out on a date. When he comes to pick her up, things get interesting, especially when Liam shows up as she will be getting into Nigel’s car.

No spoilers, but the story takes off from this point to an interesting adventure which includes the mysteries around the Solstice and the Wild Hunt. It is a fun story and I would love to read more adventures that they could embark on.

DAWN OF THE FAE

Well, I never thought I would change my mind about how I felt or looked at Nigel after reading “Eve of the Fea”. Reading this story, that is exactly what I am doing.

This story delved into Nigel as a character and you get a look at his background and who he really is inside. Dawn is one of those Fae who escaped from Edric’s dungeons and is fighting to regain the abilities that she lost during her time there. They were not meant to even meet but they end up helping each other, which turns out to be a win-win for them both.

But this story actually leaves you with a bit of a cliff hanger—not a bad one if you don’t want to read the next story—it does give you some closure. But it is just enough to make you wonder where the future will lead.

WILL OF THE FAE

I was totally surprised when I started this story. I had a perceived idea that Will was going to be someone else. I was completely surprised to find that Will was Willow and not who I thought.

I really enjoyed this story and it was my favorite of the three that I have read so far. Will is one tough woman who has put up with a lot in life and is always very resourceful about how to get out of trouble. The reader would be familiar with Arabella from the previous stories and she is not a Fae to mess with and one who keeps everyone at arm’s length.

What happens when these two strong headed women end up snowed in and having to deal with human police and demons? I will not spoil it for you, it is a fun read.

Excellent fantasy!!!

I enjoyed these three books so much that I hated to see the end. But now I have two more books to read. I usually don't enjoy reading a series, but these have not gotten boring.
