As an omega daughter of a wealthy, powerful family, my life isn’t my own. There’s only one way to escape the gilded cage hanging over my head–become a mage.

I dream of being so much more than a perfect high-society omega, matched and married off by my father to the highest bidders, spending the rest of my life as an obedient little omega wife to an influential pack of mages.

I’m meant for so much more.

Attending Fairhaven Academy is my one chance to become what I’m meant to be. Awesome power burns inside me, enough to make me the most powerful mage in centuries… but I can’t cast a single spell.

Horrible visions surface whenever I try to call my magic, and I don’t know what’s real–or who I can trust.

Can I trust the handsome bodyguard my father hired to protect me?

The bad boy with the sultriest smile?

The mage who once loved me?

The sweet tutor who tries to help me unwind the secrets of my magic?

Or the aloof, imposing professor who swears I don’t belong at Fairhaven?

To get through this alive, I will need help. Dark forces are working against me and I’m running out of time. Secrets lurk around the corners of Fairhaven Academy’s prestigious halls, and in the shadows, a deadly secret society rises, and they want to wipe out all omegas.

Omega's Wish is a dark paranormal academy sweet omegaverse romance where the heroine will end up with a pack of mages who can’t resist her. This is the first of five books in the series with a guaranteed series HEA. Book 1 ends on a cliffhanger. Contains dark themes and adult situations.

Cara Bryant pens paranormal reverse harem romances about real, vulnerable heroines who discover their inner power throughout their journeys of saving the world and falling in love. She loves writing domineering, alpha heroes, “cinnamon roll” heroes, and “grumpy rolls” who are only soft for the heroine. Because Cara writes reverse harem, she never has to pick a favorite hero—and neither do her heroines! Add in a touch of magic and a whole lot of heart and you’ve got the type of stories Cara loves to tell.

Cara has been writing since some kind soul first taught her how to pick up a crayon and write her letters. She definitely believes in happily-ever-afters and true love. She lives in the Midwest with her wonderful husband and two canine writing assistants.

I really can’t decide if I enjoyed this one!! I did finish it in a day, but I also have no positive feelings or opinions on the characters. Our fmc wasn’t half bad but damn she was a bit boring, and a few of the mmcs were sweet but eh I’m apathetic. And the other mmcs?? Rude, disrespectful, sexist dickheads for most of the book, and I did not vibe with it. “Oh but all the insults and verbal abuse were to protect you” get a better excuse because that one is lame as hell.

Not my fav… a bit meh.

I got to 70% before I gave up, the writing isn't bad the problem here is the plot. Nothing happens, the heroine is a debby downer, the amount of crying and feeling sorry for herself yickes. She starts off with a plan to be strong and that lasts 2 minutes. I kept reading this thinking surely she'll get her act together, nope.

The heroine is supposedly highly intelligent but doesn't remember cutlery for a picnic?? Some things are just good old fashioned common sense.

I didn't understand why considering she's at a magical school she didn't tell anyone about her nose bleeds and all that. The whole point is that they could help but no the story dragged even the smut chucked in there to keep us reading was putting me to sleep.

M/M in future books, but the worse part is that Simon and Cassian are already bonded and that was who Cassian left the FMC for! They love and care for each other more than her!! Eh??? That’s just not how an RH should work! Avoiding this author if this is how they think an RH should be

This book amazed me! Omega’s Wish is Cara Bryant’s first book, yet it reads like she’s a seasoned author. It joins several popular tropes in a pretty package that is easy to read and highly entertaining. You get the omegaverse ABO dynamic (which has become one of my guilty pleasures) in an academy setting where the FMC is not focused on learning to be a better omega but on magic studies. Add the reverse harem trope with the tattooed bad boy, sexy professor, and some other potential mates, and you have the recipe for a s3xy story.

The FMC was written with emotional depth. I felt her responses to her father’s words or the stress of finding her magic as if I were living through it with her. I fell in love with Luca as she did. I went through the pain of her unfulfilled heat. It was marvelous.

I loved diving into this world. It is one of those books you will want to read in one sitting. Then the cliffhanger will destroy you. I cannot wait until book two is released to find out what happens next.

The debut book by Cara Bryant and sweet mother of mercy was it fantastic! The characters, the world building, the academy. Everything just worked. I love RH, academy and omegaverse so getting all that in one book/series is a dream. I went on a roller coaster of emotions with Juniper and felt every.single.one. i just could not put this book down. The banter, the sass, the twists you don't see coming and holy forking shirtballs the cliffhanger. THE CLIFFHANGER!! already need book two.

Hecks yeah! I'm so glad I lucked up by discovering Omega's Wish. This book is giving me serious Motherland vibes, you know if everyone were witches. Cara Bryant is a new to me author and after reading this book she has a new fan because I'm freaking hooked, the story was just that good. It has unique and refreshing elements, not to mention I'm a sucker for reverse harem then make it a paranormal omegaverse reverse harem and I'm a goner.

So omegas are treated like crap by society possessions for mean af alphas, they're suppose to be the perfect little doll. The main character, Juniper, use to believe in that. Believe the nonsense her father infused into her and while she was not perfect she tried. Once Juniper was out on her own, at the academy, she started questioning things. Juniper is smart, strong (she goes through a lot), and determined. She learns about the trappings of society and wants to fight against it. I'm proud of Junes she overcomes so much and she doesn't let them bad days win.

This is a slow burn rh, primarily because all the guys can't get it together. So out of five possible guys, one is off limits (bodyguard but we know how that's gonna go), one is a super sweet one (he's an adorable nerd, I love him), and another I really like (but now I'm getting a shady feeling about), the fourth is a jerk professor (improvements have been made), while the last one is just an twatwaffle. So calling the romantic entanglements complicated is an understatement but I have hopes especially when it comes to Marcus (bodyguard) I'm really rooting for that pairing.

Juniper also has a great supportive friend group in this, something she truly needs since home life isn't the best, as well as professors who are open-minded and caring. Actually, the entire academy is open-minded when it comes to omegas and I'm truly surprised by that. Besides that, there is the weird cult-like group of alphas who hate omegas and want to send things back to the dark ages. The story had all the good parts of an omegaverse, senting (love that part), heats, knots, and pairings. Then add in the magic classes, bookstores/apothecaries, cozy cottages, and wild parties, all added to the story.

Omega's Wish was an awesome read with great characters that I'm already totally invested in. However, the story ended on a heartbreaking cliffhanger that did some emotional damage. The second book, Omega's Affinity, can't come soon enough because Cara needs to fix the damage she has inflicted on me, until then I will be brooding about it.

Everything I would expect

Juniper, an omega mage, has done everything asked of her so that she will get the chance to go off to academy as wanted. As the story progresses one of her concessions is confused, a greeting is refused, and in the end she may just feel used. Cara Bryant’s Omega’s Wish is everything I would expect from a reverse harem non-shifting omegaverse paranormal romance read. Reader discretion advised due to dark subject matter and/or possible triggers.

I received a free copy of the book from the author via. I had the opportunity to review or not.

Cara Bryant has smashed it out of the park with her first omegaverse book, Omegas Wish. I could not put my kindle down and was sneaking in reading minutes whenever I could!

Juniper Rose is no ordinary omega. Yes she has been raised to be submissive and trained in all things 'omega', ready to be mated to whichever powerful alpha pack her father deems most profitable to himself and his business. But Juniper has been tested for mage magic and boy, she is powerful. At least she should be, however her first few weeks at Fairhaven Academy are not only fraught with danger, her ex first love, derogatory alpha's and a heat from hell, but Juniper can not seem to call on her magic. At all.

With time against her, Juniper also has to navigate blossoming feelings and relationships with Marcus her guard, Cassian her ex, Ian her Professor, Luca her new love (all sexy, hot alphas) and Simon her beta tutor. Warning, i did not see the cliffhanger ending coming at all.

Full of action, romance, violence, tenderness, this book has an amazing storyline and really in depth characters. It is very well written, extremely descriptive and well edited. It may be Cara's first Omegaverse, but it definitely won't be the last! 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟🌟.

This book is Harry Potter meets Omergaverse - and I'm ALL here for it! It was amazing! I enjoyed to see the growth in Juniper, see her strength as an Omega. I fell in love with all the men along the way, they are all perfect in their own way. And I love the Omega friends we, I mean, she made along the way.
I also really enjoyed the magic approach and mixing it in with history - such as the witch hunts, burnings, and trials. This was so good and I'm only sad that now I have to wait to continue to find out what's happens for Juniper, her pack, her friends, her mage studies, and her taking out her Voldemort villian in the story.

Wow! What an amazing start to the series! I absolutely loved Cara’s story. It was so much different that what I was expecting and it really made my day to read it! I loved everything about this book from the characters to the plot.

One thing that really caught my eye while reading this book was that it has omegaverse in it with Magic. I really liked the take on this book and the ABO dynamics with the magic. I liked the emotional depth this book had to it, it grabbed my attention and made me not put it down.

I really loved the emotions from all the characters and I adored the FMC. Juniper faces all kinds of struggles throughout the academy. It just makes me want to hug her each time. Now for her men (Cassian, Ian, Luca, Simon and Marcus), some of them I want to punch and some of them I want to hug and encourage her to be with more.

Spice? It’s getting up there, I feel like it will definitely be WAY good as the story progresses with the characters more.

Overall, the book is an awesome start to the series. I can’t wait to read more. I highly recommend to anyone looking for paranormal and omegaverse books. Definitely worth the read!

I loved this book from the beginning, like I picked it up and could not put it down. It was a brilliant combination of action, romance, MAGIC, and secret plots from characters. As an avid reader, I really dislike having things end on a cliffhanger, but this book was so well written (in my opinion) that I didn't mind having the cliffhanger that was there. I know that I already plan on reading this book so many times before the next one comes out, and absolutely cannot wait to see what happens next in the story.

..... It may also help that I've added to my book boyfriend list because of Omega's Wish.............

Juniper an Omega goes to Fairhaven to learn to be a mage. Spoiler here ***
She finds it hard to call her magic infact when she does nothing but forgotten memories with shocking secrets come back to her and nosebleeds and pain.
On the day she arrives with her Sweet Honor Guard Marcus who is immune to her scent and there to protect her btw she sees Cassian the boy who broke her heart a few years ago and now her advisor, she also meets Luca the sexy tatted mage who loves Storms who instantly recognizes her as his, Simon the Sweets addicted Tutor who is so adorable, Ian the Gruff and Sexy Professor and an awesome network of lady friends fellow Omega Alyssa and Darika her Alpha. I fell hard for her men and the shocking turn at the end had me gasping it stunned me completely. I'm really in need of book 2.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow this was one of my most anticipated reads of August and I can say it exceeded all my expectations!

Juniper Rose is an omega from a rich and powerful family. She's burdened down by her designation and her father's expectations. After being tested and discovered to have a high magical potential she is accepted into Fairhaven Academy for Mages.

Accompanied by Marcus an alpha guard hired to protect her she faces the cruelty of Alphas at the school as well as pressures to be a submissive omega.

She must learn how to be around Cassian her first love who rejected her and now has become cruel. Professor Ian who views her as a useless omega and delights in humiliating her in front of her peers. Luca an alpha who she is strongly attracted to but who is an unacceptable potential mate. Finally Simon a beta with a sweet tooth who tutors her in magic.

Everything is not well outside the academy either. A group of alpha mages using violent tactics have begun an attack on omegas and their rights. After being targeted Juniper faces devastating betrayal by some of the people closest to her.

This book hooked me from the very first chapter and wouldn't let go. I snuck off and read every chance I got. Finally finishing it at 4am leaving me with 3 hours of sleep. It was all worth it though cause this story is AMAZING! I want to give Juniper a hug and tell her she's enough. I want to go d!*k punch Cassian and Ian. I need Marcus and Simon in my life cause they're both sweet and encouraging. I want to go stargazing with Luca and then maybe d!*k punch him too. I'm on the fence about him at the moment it could go either way.
You need to be prepared to get nothing done except reading. I can't wait for the next one!!!

This was not what I expected.
I got the book on stuffyourkindle and didn’t really research before reading.

The omegaverse combined with magic was just perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and definitely will continue the series.

The cliffhanger at the end killed me. I definitely didn’t see that coming.

Oh my goodness what a way to start a series! So to start this book will have a HEA by the end of the series but let me tell you that cliffhanger at the end….boy was I not ready for it!

Our Omega main character come from a wealthy family full of alphas. When she shows as an omega her life is kinda too upside down. One shining light is going to were she can hopefully learn to harness her magic. But dark forces are at play, and they have it out for omegas everywhere.

Why choose?
There is the ex who broke her heart, the new boyfriend with a troubled past home life, the professor who should be off limits, the tutor who happens to be a beta, and the guard who she shouldn’t be able to be attracted to….but of course is. Seriously with a line up like that you can help but wish you could be this omega!

This book started off slow, but once we got to Fairhaven academy the pacing picked up and the action started. Juniper is an omega that was raised to be obedient and never disobey her alphas. She snuck out behind her fathers back, desperate to get into Fairhaven and was tested to see if she could become a mage. She landed in the 98th percentile, higher than any omega and higher than her alpha siblings. But upon her arrival she is attacked by the soldiers of aldous, a group of alphas set out to purge omegas from the world. Shes caught in an omega trap and nearly succumbs to them when a professor arrives just in time. She faces so many trials and yet she pushes through knowing that somehow she will reach her magic, even if it kills her. The book leaves off on a major cliffhanger and I cant wait for the next book!

The story had potential. I liked how the omegaverse was accompanied with mages/magic. Unfortunately it was too slow and the fmc came across as tstl (too stupid to live) most of the time. I thought about putting the book aside around 30% into it, but I held out with hope that something would happen… it didn’t. Even the “cliffhanger” at the end didn’t grasp me or surprise me.

There were some typos and missed used words, usually I don’t see them if the story flows, but because I wasn’t engrossed I saw every last one of them.

Now you ask, if you didn’t like it why did you give it 3 stars? (And even if you didn’t ask, I’ll tell you!) I gave it 3 because damn did it have potential, I wished it were better which is why I did end up finishing it (well, after 80% I skipped words and such to hurry up and finish it, even glossed over the 1 sex scene), I’m debating if I should read the second book when it’s released to see if it’s better but honestly, I’ll prob forget about the series by then.

I just reviewed myself down half a star, I’ll give this 2.5/5 but keep the 3 by rounding up.

This book was a lot more than I was expecting. A lot more thrilling, a lot more heart-wrenching, a lot more everything.

For one thing, this is not the sweet, drama free omegaverse I thought it would be, but I don't regret reading it. FMC, Juniper, is an Omega in a world where Omega's don't have basic rights or freedoms. They're controlled from birth by their fathers and then given to Alpha mates who then control their lives. Juniper longs to escape her hopeless future, but the only way that is going to happen is if she becomes a powerful mage. Except she can't access her powers at all and the academy is a brutal place for a powerless omega.

The plot line is original-ish; not completely new but still exciting and fresh. The character building is well done so far. Most of the guys are still mysteries, but that is by design. The magic system is original and interesting, but not really described in detail yet. This is the first book of a five book series, so we will probably understand more as the books progress.

This is a bully romance. However, the bullying is done with words instead of physical violence so it didn't make me want to rage quit the series. The relationships forming are going to be a slow build. These guys are all-the-way reluctant and some are downright hateful.

These are the guys who will probably be FMC's mates:

🌟 Marcus Haley. Alpha. He is the FMC's "Honor Guard" who was hired specifically because he wouldn't be attracted to Juniper's omega scent. His job is to protect her from other Alphas. However, I bet we will discover that everything is not what it seems with him.

🌟 Cassian Leclerc. Alpha. He was FMC's first love before she presented as an omega. He rejected her out of the blue at her debutante ball when she turned 16. He's hateful and cruel now.

🌟 Professor Ian Reinhardt. Alpha. The most powerful mage in generations. He is needlessly cruel to Juniper. He constantly and consistently puts her down, demeans and humiliates her publicly.

🌟 Luca Anders. Alpha. He is a bad-boy mage with rage issues and a rap sheet. He's also the sweetest mage in this book and seems like he is devoted to Juniper.

🌟 Simon Monroe. Beta. Sweet and shy nerd who is a little scatterbrained and helps Juniper with her magic.

I'll be surprised if there doesn't end up being MM in this series. We don't know anything yet, but I think Simon and Cassian are a "thing."

- 🐺 Alpha/Omega, PNR, Reverse Harem
- 👀 Single, first person POV
- 👥 5 possible mates, all mages
- 🧁 Sweet, innocent, and docile Omega FMC (this will probably change)
- ❤️ 4/5 Romance stars
- 🌎 4/5 World-building stars
- ⭐️ 4/5 Character building stars
- 🔥 Medium/slow burn. Slow build harem.
- 🌶 2/5 spicy stars (one foreplay scene, one sex scene at the end)
- 🍒 Virgin FMC
- 🚫 No MM/FF (yet), no OW
- ‼️ History of abuse & torture. Sexual assault, violent attacks against FMC, major female oppression

4 stars. I liked this book more than the other Omegaverse stories I've read so far. Even though the story unfolded exactly as I predicted, I enjoyed reading it as it developed. I liked that the pace was kind of slow after the first 20% or so... The focus is on the female MC's friendships, her slow-blossoming relationship, and her struggles to stay caught up in classes for her first two months of mage school when she can't access her magic.

I liked all of the detail about her classes and the ongoing political/heretical strife between Alphas and Omegas. Juniper is just now finding out about how poorly Omegas have truly been treated throughout history, and she is learning to hold on to "the fear and the fury" that she feels as an Omega, while also tempering those emotions with the hope and joy she finds in her close friend group (Luca the love interest, Alyssa the BFF, Marcus the honor guard, Ellie & Bitsy the older Omega friends, etc).

There are a few violent scenes in the book, and I didn't love how quickly the first violent scenes were just dropped in (the majority of the violence happens in the first 18% of the book, really). But I liked most of the story well enough that I think I would read the next book. The spicy scenes were rare in this book but I thought they were really well written (a good mix of sweetness/romance and more explicit spice).

Juniper is finally gettting her chance at a little freedom. Coming from a well off family, in her father’s world appearance is everything and she has had to be perfect. Going to Fairhaven is her chance at freedom before her father marries her off to whoever he thinks will get him the most. But when she gets to Fairhaven, she is attacked and their are some anti-omega factions trying to kill or suppress the omegas. Juniper starts realizing there is something wrong with her magic and secrets from her past. This is a slow burn omega verse, with some bully-ish behaviors. I loved Junioer and the world Bryant has create is unique and intriguing - I already added book 2 to my watch list :) I can’t wait to see what happens next :)

So yeah I'm totally on a binge of reading pretty much every omegaverse out there it seems but sometimes you know you just have to read a book and this was one. It really got me from the first page and it lived up to what I was hoping for. This is the first book by Cara and her debut as an author so I was pretty excited. Loved the academy setting and it felt like a omegaverse / harry potter crossover. It is well excuted and the series will end in a HEA but this first book will end on a cliffhanger. I also enjoyed that it is a darker omegaverse but it is really good and a must read series.

Wow.... I didnt expect this at all.. Cara brought it with this book. This is the first in the series and it does leave off on a cliffhanger but wow.. The build of the story is great. The characters are building and the little steam that we are given is great. I do love a slow burn so I suspect that as the story builds the steam will also. Can't wait to see where this series goes.. always live a great magic series..

WOW! Cara Bryant hit it out of the park with Omegas Wish. I found myself laughing and gasping out loud and loving every turn the story takes. I cannot wait for the next book and the development of Juniper’s abilities. The book ends on a cliffhanger that I need to see resolved immediately. Cannot wait for the next instalment which is bound to be full of even more spice and angst and danger.

This book was amazing. I was hooked from the start and thrown for several loops throughout. This book doesn’t end with a HEA but the series will. I totally vibed with Simon and and Marcus. Luca, Ian, and Cassian are cool and all but my heart lies with Simon and Marcus. I’m not sure who she will end up with it could be all five and I would be totally ok with that. I just hope that Juniper gets all her wishes by the end of the series.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. Thank you, Cara, for letting me receive an ARC.

Juniper is an omega but she's also a very powerful mage. Being a mage is all she ever wanted. I enjoyed slowly getting to know the men in the harem as well. Although I'm not a huge fan that an ex is in the harem, I still liked it. Four stars!

The world in this book felt so real! They even had their own holidays and cultural traditions. This is a very rigid, class-based structured society that felt dystopian in many ways. I fell head over heels for the bodyguard the moment he defends her and could barely stop reading after that! I can't wait to see what happens with future books. If you love omegaverse, knotting, and omegas who take on the evil alphas of the world, this is the series for you!

This is a debut book from Cara and the writing in this book was excellent. The ending definitely caught me off guard. My feelings for Luca had been growing, and now I am sure of it. There is no doubt that I love Simon and Marcus. Cassian is kind of an @$$, but redeemed himself somewhat, and lan? Well, he's still not my cup of tea. I know the series will eventually have a HEA, even though this book ended on a cliffhanger. There is no doubt that this book is worth your time.

Fantastic pnr omegaverse

Great story, in an academy setting, with well written characters and an fmc who develops emotionally throughout the book.
I love Professor Ian, Marcus and Luca. Cassian seems like a bit of a d!ck! I really want Marcus to be part of the harem as it develops but I'm not holding my breath!!
