A sweet, lighthearted romantic comedy from USA Today bestselling author Pippa Grant about one social media influencer’s dream of going off the grid and the IRL love she finds along the way.
Secrets always catch up with you. The world knows me as Tavi Lightly, sugar-free social media influencer. But my true purpose lies in secretly restoring a cacao farm in Costa Rica. Unfortunately, to save the farm, I need access to the trust fund that my grandmother has frozen. She’s requiring me to do charity work in Tickled Pink, Wisconsin, and until I meet her ultimatum—no trust fund. So to Tinkled Pink I go.
My first grandmother-approved charity project? Helping local reformed bad boy Dylan Wright. He has secrets too, like how he’s hung up on his married best friend. Kick-starting his dating life is as easy as making him famous through association with me.
Not so easy is the fact that we’re falling for each other. He belongs in Tickled Pink, and I belong on my farm. We might share our secrets with one another, but can we really share our lives too?
Before she became a USA Today and #1 Amazon bestselling romantic comedy author, she was a young military spouse who got into writing as self-therapy. That happened around the time she discovered reading romance novels, and the two eventually merged into a career. Today, she has more than 30 knee-slapping Pippa Grant titles and nine published under the name Jamie Farrell.
When she’s not writing romantic comedies, she’s fumbling through being a mom, wife, and mountain woman, and sometimes tries to find hobbies. Her crowning achievement? Having impeccable timing for telling stories that will make people snort beverages out of their noses. Consider yourself warned.
Rich in Your Love is book two in the Tickled Pink series by Pippa Grant. I adored the first book in this series, The One Who Loves You, so I was really excited about getting Tavi’s book.
Octavia “Tavi” Lightly, middle child in the Lightly clan is known as the vegan, sugar free, fitness and fashion guru/influencer on social media. She has millions of followers. But no one knows the REAL Tavi Lightly. The Tavi who donates most of her salary to charities and who has found her place in life on a small cacao farm in Costa Rica. All she wants is to harvest her cacao beans and make the best chocolate truffles anyone has ever tasted. But when her grandmother, Gigi, goes off the rails and insists the entire family move to Tickled Pink for one year to do good deeds in order to find heaven, Tavi is forced to go because if she doesn’t, Gigi will freeze her trust fund. A trust fund she needs to keep the farm running.
Dylan Wright is the plumber in Tickled Pink. Dylan had a troubled childhood and as a result, he didn’t act in a way he is proud of. He hurt people. But he turned himself around and does his best to be a good man now. Dylan has been best friends with Hannah since they were little and he thinks of her as the one who got away. He didn’t tell her how he felt and she married someone else. Now he watches from a distance as the woman he is convinced he is in love with moves on with her life.
Then Tavi came to town. Tavi with all her ideas of putting Dylan on Social Media as the sexy plumber who can help people to deal with their own home plumbing needs. This will bring tourism to Tickled Pink and will also help Dylan to move on to date new people. The only problem with that is that while Tavi is helping him, they start falling for each other.
Dylan soon learns that Tavi’s real smiles, real laughs and her quick wit are not at all the same as the personality she shares on social media. And it’s the real Tavi he is falling for. And Tavi sees Dylan differently than anyone else. She didn’t know the mean Dylan from his childhood. She only knows him as the man he is today.
I have so many different feelings towards this book. First, heartbreak for Tavi and how her family made her feel about herself. I give her so much credit for finding what makes her happy outside of her family’s expectations. It was so hard for her to accept that Dylan saw her as a beautiful, successful woman. And I felt so bad for Dylan constantly trying to prove that he was a good man. That his behavior years ago still hung over his head. I already knew Tavi’s grandmother from the first book but this one made me dislike her even more and what she was putting her family through. But, I also have to say that I think that this book was a little too long. It seemed like there was a lot of repeating. I found myself skimming at times because I’d heard the same thing so many times. So, while I enjoyed getting to know Tavi and Dylan’s story, I felt like it was a little drawn out at times. It did have such a cute ending and I do love this quirky little town. There are plenty of laugh out loud moments, some sexy and swoony moments and some sighs as well.
This is second in a series and all the setup for the ridiculous situation happens in the first. You probably want to read that one first.
I try to give books their premise. I couldn't with this one. And not just the holding trust funds hostage (not how trust funds work) but Tavi's entire "plan" is ludicrous. It makes zero sense on any level, least of all financially. You want to give third-world people steady work, maybe do something not entirely bound up in upper-crust gourmand trends. I'm just saying.
And that's before you get to the whole cutthroat online influencer nonsense. Tavi is going to make Tickled Pink perma-popular! Through an online strategy based on sexing up the plumber! Yeah, that'll draw in the visiting crowds. Everyone knows that tourist hotspots are based entirely on thirty-something beefcake.
So I had a hard time taking anyone/thing seriously. And that ate into my taking their interactions seriously. So I'm going to call this a mistake and move on. One star and I wish it had warranted more.
An interview with Pippa Grant caught my attention recently. It was refreshing to hear the author's sense of humor and outlook on life. My first instinct when her newest book Rich in Your Love became available on Netgalley, was to grab it. In this romantic comedy, a social influencer is the main character and the plot is lighthearted and hilarious.
Synopsis: Tavi Lightly, is a well known social media influencer. Her true passion is in Costa Rica secretly working on her cacao farm. After her trust fund is cut off, Tavi is forced to relocate to Tickled Pink, Wisconsin, for her grandmother to do charity work. There she meets handsome Dylan Wright who is still in love with his married best friend. Could Lady Love help if she stepped in?
I laughed out loud as I read Rich in your Love. Pippa Grant's novel is fantastic and has a delightful romantic element to it. There is some sexual content in it and it may not be suitable for all audiences.
Rich in Your Love is available on December 13th. (4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐💫)
Thank you, NetGalley and Montlake, for sharing this delicious book with me! Your kindness is appreciated!
Rich in Your Love is book #2 of the Tickled Pink series by Pippa Grant. It is standalone told from dual POV with a happy ending.
Tropes: ✔️ small town ✔️ enemies to lovers ✔️ rom-com
Heiress, vegan/fitness and fashion influencer Tavi Lightly has secrets. She loves big macs! She donates most of her salary to charities and her true passion is a cacao farm in Costa Rica. But to fund it she needs the trust fund her grandmother controls.
The same grandmother who’s demanded she do charity work in Tickled Pink where she must put the super handsome town’s plumber Dylan Wright on social media.
It should be easy enough, but Dylan has secrets of his own. He’s not just ashamed of his past; has also been pining after his now married childhood friend. But as the two are forced to interact, he easily falls for the real Tavi and vice versa.
Although this is a rom-com and overall a lighthearted read, my heart did break a little for both Tavi’s family situation and Dylan’s past.
The beginning was a bit slow and perhaps a bit confusing if you don’t read book 1 like I did, but I soon found myself loving the small town, wacky characters and funny situations.

Rich in Your Love is the second book in the Tickled Pink series and as I have not read the first book and read this one just fine, it can be read without reading the first book in the series. That said it was so much fun I do plan on going back to the first book in the series soon.
Tavi comes from a rich family and to the outside world she has led a charmed life. She is an influencer helping people with their vegan and fitness lifestyle while traveling the world to promote various products. But it is all a dirty lie; she eats meat and cheese and all the other delicious things in life including sugar and chocolate. She also runs ten miles a day trying to keep her mother's voice out of her head telling her she doesn't have the right genes to eat anything she wants if she wants to stay pretty and thin.
Levi was the town bad boy in high school. He knows he was a jerk and how many people he hurt in his sleepy little town. He is reformed; he doesn't do jerk things anymore, like try to break the marriage of his best friend and the woman he thought was "the one". He and Tavi had a slightly embarrassing moment awhile back and she has been ducking him ever since. But he knows she is more than the ditz she plays for the camera and there is something about her when she is being real Levi can't get enough of. But she isn't staying in the sleepy town of Tickled Pink for long so how close should he try to get?
Tavi is in hell, well it isn't quite hell, but it has every horrible family member she has been trying to get away from for years. She doesn't like who she is with them and her grandmother is a piece of work. Still if she wants to keep her trust fund unlocked to be able to run the cacao farm she bought, she has to be in Tickled Pink and work with her family to try and save her soul, which she thought was kinda already saved. To do that she needs to teach the town how to promote itself to get people in and her first victim project is Levi. He is one of the hottest bachelors in Tickled Pink and Tavi can make his a star by setting him up on Tik Tok to help people with their plumbing. He will have dating offers galore after that and definitely be able to get over the girl from high school who is currently married.
Tavi and Levi make a cute couple. He sees through her lies and she doesn't know the kid he used to be so there is no judgement on his past. They help each other learn to be kinder to themselves and love themselves for who they are today without judgements on how they got there. As they help each other with the current problems in their lives it is clear there is more than just a little sexual attraction and could this be love forming between them? It will be interesting to see how a girl looking to live in Costa Rica and a guy from a little town are going to figure out this thing that is bigger than either of them realize.
This is really everything I needed in a romance novel. Funny, great characters, silly situations and second chances. I had a great time reading it and it is definitely one of my highlights from 2022.
Narration: Savannah Peachwood had the perfect voice for Tavi. She was adorable cute and babbled well when Tavi got nervous or was trying to steer the conversation a different direction. Sebastian York's voice is just dreamy like butter which is why he is very well know for narrating romance novels. I have loved his voice in everything I've listened to by him. Really a great pairing for this novel. I was able to listen at my usual 1.5x speed.
I fell in love–again? Might become a habit with this author.
No instalove here. There may be some attraction, but after an embarrassing initiative from Tavi, neither of them act on it. Tavi probably would try again, if Dylan’s rejection wasn’t so definitive, and if she had many reasons not to attached herself to Tickled Pink. Dylan, on the other hand, suffers from his unrequited love for his female best friend and would barely entertain the idea of being involved with the influencer.
Their lives are so different that they should never collide. But here’s the beauty of the story: Dylan catches a glimpse of Tavi’s real personality, and she intrigues him, while Tavi sees the nice guy Dylan is trying to be after a life of mischief. They become friends because they see a side of the other no one else perceives. And that’s how they slowly fall in love. See? No instalove. And the author shows the shift perfectly by having them considering more and more the other as a person from the opposite sex instead of just a sexless friend.
Tavi has a clear goal right from the beginning of the story, but the way she might succeed evolves with each step she makes into accepting her true self. Same with Dylan, though his only real objective is to move on from his unrequited love. But by spending time with Tavi, he learns to let go of his past and revel in accepting who he is. It’s kind of the theme in this book: discovering and accepting your true self. And they both do it beautifully and together.
The Lightlys shenanigans keep happening, of course. Gigi is her usual hellish self, keeps torturing her family, and brings a new player in the game: Tavi’s longtime rival. Her ultimate goal is still a mystery for me, because it can’t be that she wants to save her soul, or she wouldn’t act like that. We see more of Carter, and he’s almost sympathetic–I can’t wait to read his story. Tavi’s parents, especially her father, are a surprise. It seems that the main characters in the books, Phoebe and now Tavi, aren’t the only ones going down the instrospective route.
Which was, maybe the weak element in the book. Tavi and Dylan keep rehashing their struggles in their respective chapters, and there’s only so many times I can read about Tavi’s cocoa farm or Dylan’s unforgiveness toward his younger self. I almost skimmed those paragraphs. Sure, since they go through a personal and emotional journey, please tell me what’s in their head, I want to know. And sure, those elements beings important parts of their life, they must be at the forefront of their thoughts. That doesn’t mean that you should write the same stuff only with different words.
Tickled Pink is back in force to make you laugh and feel. And with a little steam, I’m sure you won’t say no.

4⭐️ At first I was a bit confused and the beginning was a little slow to get into. But! After that I really got into the story and really liked the characters. I liked the small town aspect and the interactions in Tickled Pink with everyone from the town. It was a fun read that had me laughing at some points and it was just a nice light read.
Thank you NetGalley, the author, and the publishers for an eARC for my honest review!
I received an ARC of this book and it did not disappoint! I liked it even better than The One Who Loves You. Tavi is trying to balance her plans of being a better person with GiGi's ridiculous demands, and Dylan needs someone to see and love the person he has become. Tavi and Dylan were easy to root for and Gigi is the literal worst. I hope this isn't the last we'll see of Tickled Pink!
Looking for a romance to fill your heart with warm, cozy and swoony feels and make you feel all kinds of good? Rich in Your Love by Pippa Grant is your next read. Dylan and Tavi made me laugh, won my heart and I am in love with Tickled Pink with all its cuteness!
Tickled Pink has been invaded by The rich and famous Lightly family. As the matriarch decided giving this small town a makeover will heal their soul. And all Tavi want to do is to get her secret project of organic chocolate farm to get off the ground so that she can stop living this fake influencer life. But she is stuck here because Gigi has frozen her trust fund that she needs for her farm. Enter Dylan the bad boy turned nice plumber. Making Dylan a tiktok star may be answer to her question....but what about her heart?
OK someone tell me what is so enticing about rich famous woman with a heart finding love with a not so rich not famous gorgeous man from the small town..that I lose my mind over them every single time! I swear this is like dose of some kind of addictive substance to me. Tavi is a blast. She has two personality. The carefully curated on brand Uber bubbly personality. And the real one with all kinds of crazy wicked entertaining side. I love her big heart, her sassy ways, her witty style..like Dylan does. Now..he is a converted bad boy and damn his charm is such a turn on. We need more nice guys like him in real world who can also be bad when they want. A bit bossy. A whole lot of caring and protective and swoonworthy. Tickled Pink was an adventure for sure. The dysfunctional Lightly family made me laugh so hard and I enjoined their adventures so much! Dylan didn't realise that he needed someone to believe in him the way Tavi did and it was a novelty for Tavi to find a man who wants her for her real personality. It was a slow burn that will keep you engrossed in the page. I loved everything about the town and the colourful citizens. I Don’t know where time go when I was reading Rich in Your Love.
A cute small town, influencer romance with a cast of quirky characters. This is the second book in a series but worked as a standalone. I liked the characters and the romance had a good amount of chemistry/steam. Not a super standout read for me but still good on audio narrated by Savannah Peachwood and Sebastian York.
Rich in Your Love is the second installment of the Tickled Pink series. Tavi Lightly is a social media influencer, known for being a fitness junkie and vegan. She showcases herself consistently in a “ditzy” light and doesn’t take the world seriously. In reality, Tavi would love a cheeseburger and could spend her day on her cacao farm building her chocolate empire. When her grandmother forces her to move Tickled Pink, she is forced to deal with everything thrown at her to keep her trust fund for her farm. Dylan Wright, the local bad boy, becomes Tavi’s newest social media project. Dylan is currently trying to get over his best friend, while realizing Tavi is more than what social media thinks she is. As Dylan tries to unravel Tavi’s secrets, Tavi must decide whether love will be enough for her to save her farm?
I forgot how much I enjoy Pippa Grant’s writing style until I read her books again. Just like her previous series, this book is full of great banter between the characters. Tavi has such a personality that I loved seeing her “social media” side, and her normal self. The chemistry between Dylan and Tavi is off the charts good. I loved the family dynamics, and how Tavi and her sister grew closer.
My only dislike towards the book was the resolution for the 3rd act issue felt way too fast, and way too easy. It is a contemporary romance, so I expected a 3rd act issue, but I just felt the build-up towards the issue and how it got resolved was just out of the blue a bit. Still not enough of an issue that I dropped any stars, I think this is a 5-star read for me.
I highly recommend this series to anyone that enjoyed Hook, Line, and Sinker by Tessa Bailey or Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating by Christina Lauren.
Thank you for the arc Montlake, all opinions are my own.
I enjoyed this it was fun and easy to read with very little drama. I loved seeing the tension between them slowly build. I was fully invested in their happily ever after. It's the second book in the Tickled Pink series and can be read as a standalone. Looking forward to seeing whose story is next in the series.
Tavi and Dylan! Opposites attract and sort of a slow burn! So Tavi is a social influencer who ends up is Tickled Pink at the request (or mandate) of her Grandmom. Once she is there she is matched up with Dylan, a Plummer, and the attraction starts.
As always a funny, delightful read from Pippa Grant!
If you are already a fan of this author, this will be your next purchase. No question. But - if you are new to this author, the world of Tickled Pink is a great place to start! (This being book two, I do recommend reading "The One Who Loves You" first, so this storyline makes the most sense.)
When I had the opportunity to grab this ARC from NetGalley, I jumped at the chance! The first book, set in Tickled Pink (a place I SO wish was real!), was Phoebe (Tavi's sister) and Teague's love story. That was emotional and heartwarming - and I enjoyed it. I was very excited to get back to the Lightly family and the characters in the town.
If you are familiar with this author's numerous other rom-com works, you may be expecting a laugh-out-loud, "can't read this in public because I'll get looks" kind of read. This book is not that. (And that's okay.)
This story has me back in love with all the Tickled Pink 'townspeople', and their quirky ways. Tavi and Dylan's love story isn't what I originally expected. Gigi is still making demands, and we see the lengths Tavi has contorted herself to fit other's expectations. Unfortunately, as this story goes on, we see it all unravel. Family is family, but the Lightly family is frustrating, at best. I welcomed the changes a few of the Lightly characters managed to accomplish. Dylan has a backstory of his own to try to overcome, and it was absolutely delightful to see his connection with Tavi grow through mutual support. They certainly are steamy together, and their connection is almost tangible. His personality is absolutely what we want in a book boyfriend, and I cheered their Happy Ever After.
Things I loved about this book: Wonderful characters in a sweet small town A woman trying so hard to accomplish her personal goals A handsome, kind hearted man who wants to do the right thing, and be happy Steamy scenes and a sweet love connection Entertaining situations that frustrated me, made me smile, and warmed my heart
This author has incredible creativity, and routinely crafts worlds of characters that are easy to relate to, cheer for, empathize with, and love. Every book I have enjoyed from this author has given me hours of enjoyment. Her characters stay with me, long after the pages have stopped turning. This one was easy to read, and I was done before I wanted to be.
I strongly recommend reading this in the correct reading order to have the best experience. That said, you can totally read this as a stand-alone if you choose.
I absolutely loved Tavi and Dylan's story! Dylan is so kind and loving and patient with Tavi. Tavi is trying to use this fake persona while actually being a completely different person. I absolutely love her true self not the fake one. This book had me laughing so hard at times and just so wrapped up in the characters.
I absolutely adore Pippa’s books. Her characters, the towns, the romance, just everything in her stories leave you with a huge smile on your face and a lightness in your heart. I know without fail that I will devour a Pippa book cover to cover in one sitting and this book was no different. Tavi and Dylan are downright perfection, and I couldn’t have asked for a better story.
We are back in Tickled Pink Wisconsin with the Lightly family and their grandmothers’ unrealistic demands and irreverent personality. Tavi is the social media star of the Lightly’s she portrays herself as a ditz who only eats vegan foods, no sugar, no carbs, no fun! But in reality, she is the exact opposite of her social media persona. I loved seeing the real Tavi the one who saves ducks and wants chocolate and cheeseburgers. That girl was real, and she was wonderful. She’s fighting an inner battle that I think many women do, she doesn’t feel like she’s good enough. Her family had a lot to do with her feelings of inadequacy. That broke my heart every time she had a moment where she thought she didn’t deserve something, or she wasn’t enough for Dylan. I just wanted to reach into the book and hug her. She doesn’t trust easily due to the world she grew up in, so it takes a lot of time and persistence on Dylan’s part to get her to open up. But every time she does you can see Dylan smiling and basking in the realness that is Tavi.
Dylan, Dylan, Dylan, I am obsessed with this man. He has a lot he’s working through regarding his past and reconciling that person with the man he is today. He is just pure delight. I swooned so much while reading this book when he walks into the room swoon. When he pets pebbles swoon. When he gets drunk and only wants tomato’s swoon. You get the picture. He wasn’t all swoony moments though; he gets gruff alpha like on a few occasions and I about melted into a puddle. Give me a man that will fight for you and get all growly and I’ve got my next book boyfriend. But what I loved most was that he saw right through Tavi’s fake persona and dug deeper into who she really is. He knew she was hiding, and he didn’t let up for one minute until she let him in. And the moment she did you could tell he was falling head over heels for her (insert another swoon).
Dylan and Tavi worked so well together. You ever just read characters that you just know fit together so unbelievably well that you couldn’t even imagine it another way? Well, these two are it. The way the allowed the other to just be who they are without expectation, without demands. They listened and accepted without ever making the other feel insufficient. I loved their love.
Pippa always writes stories that make me laugh out loud and fall in love. I have yet to read one that didn’t elicit the warmest and coziest of feelings while reading. Her books are warm blankets and hot coco on a raining day, and I am infatuated with the feeling.

Thank you so much Montlake for sending me this ARC!
Rich in Your Love is a romantic comedy and the second book in the Tickled Pink series by Pippa Grant but can be read as a standalone. After finishing The One Who Loves Me last week I couldn’t wait to read Tavi’s story and I’m happy to say that it didn’t disappoint and I might like it even more than the first book!
All right, so, if someone didn’t read the first book, Lightlys are rich and privileged, one day Grandma Lightly has a near death experience and swears she has seen hell so she makes the entire family move to a little town called Tickled Pink and learn how to be good people so they can go to heaven. Tavi is a social media influencer and many people don’t take her seriously so she often behaves that way, even her family doesn’t know the real her. Tavi has a really good reason to go home as soon as possible so she tries to do all the chores her grandmother assignes her, but it is never enough. And there’s Dylan, a local plumber and the first person who Tavi feels might actually really see her and not her internet persona. But with Tavi really needing to leave, will she finally make her grandmother proud and figure out how to continue her relationship with Dylan?
Honestly, at the beginning of the first book I didn’t really like Tavi and I would have laughed if someone told me she would become my favorite character in this series. She is genuinely nice person and trying her best, but because of her social media life she often lies and doesn’t let anyone get to know the real her. Well, Dylan is really persistent and wants to know her so after Tavi stops avoiding him (after the-incident-no-one-is-talking-about) they become friends and then they have beautiful friends to lovers romance, they are so supportive of each other and I really liked their relationship.
It was also great to see the Tickled Pink residents again, they are as funny and meddling as ever and many times I found myself laughing out loud at their antics. Even the Lightly family members were more likable in this book, they were actually trying and came a long way since the beginning of book 1.
I really liked Rich in Your Love and if you like rom-coms you should give the Tickled Pink series a chance. I hope the author chooses to write more books in this series and I can’t wait to see what Pippa Grant writes next, she is quickly becoming one of my favorite romantic comedy authors!
Tavi and Dylan fall in love in book two set in Tickled Pink, Wisconsin. Their story is told in first person from an alternating dual POV. I was looking forward to Tavi’s story so much after reading book one. It does not disappoint. There is so much more to Tavi than the persona the public sees in her life as an influencer. I adore that she is curvy, funny, and driven. I love that her sweet exterior holds a lion. Dylan is a good guy who must come to terms with a future that is different from what he thought it was going to be. I love that he gets to know Tavi and sees the real her under the facade. I really enjoyed his attraction to her and how he tries to fight it. They form a friendship that quickly becomes a fling. I love when it becomes more than that and they find their forever. I really enjoyed how they shared an understanding of being able to overcome past mistakes to become the people they want to be in the world. They both have beautiful souls and are perfect for each other. Tickled Pink provides a quirky small-town backdrop for the comedy, and the family dynamics are a lot of fun as they really learn more about each other. This was a light-hearted and fun rom-com that I really enjoyed. I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving n advance reader copy of the book.
Tavi Lightly is a social media influencer, known for being a fitness junkie and vegan. She has a very lackadaisical persona, that is out for just the next good time. That is not who Tavi is at all. She would love nothing more than to smash a cheeseburger and her true passion is her cacao farm. To Fund her farm she must head to Tickle Pink, WI at her grandmother’s insistence. Dylan Wright is the local bad boy. He becomes Tavi’s newest social media project. It does not take Dylan long to realize that Tavi is more than what social media thinks she is. After reading this book and the first book in the serious I can officially say I don’t think that Pippa Grant’s writing style is for me. Tavi has such a personality but she was so pigeon hole that it was difficult for her to move past it. The chemistry between Dylan and Tavi was luke warm at best. I felt like Gigi is mean and could have been so much more. The one bright spot was the 2 sisters seem to be growing closer The resolution in the 3rd act was resolved very quickly and too easily. I think if you are looking for a tamer version of Pippa Grant this might be a book to try.. It wanted more hijinks and fun.
Maybe I wasn’t in the right mind frame but I could not get into this story. I couldn’t find any flow to it. I also had a difficult time with the MC”s. Tavi’s negativity was tiresome. Dyan’s personality was flat. Nor did I feel any romantic connection between Tavi and Dylan. This was disappointing since I really liked the first book in this series!
Rich in Your Love returns readers to the kooky small town of Tickled Pink for social media influencer Octavia 'Tavi' Lightly's story.
And what a delightful story it is. As Tavi is nothing like she first appears, and she's certainly not the ditzy, sugar free, soya bean loving, social media darling. That was portrayed throughout Phoebe and Teague's story.
In fact Tavi loves bacon, ice cream and chocolate and has many other secrets too. The biggest being she is desperate to earn back her trust fund just so she can continue her dream of restoring a cacao farm in Costa Rica. So she can continue making chocolate everyone in the world devours.
But to do that she needs to play by matriarch and grandmother Gigi's rules. Which means suffering in the small town of Tickled Pink with the rest of her dysfunctional family including sister Phoebe and brother Carter.
So to help, pass the time Tavi comes up with a plan to help local plumber Dylan restore his reputation, become a Tik Tok sensation and forget his best friend and first love Hannah who has married and moved to rival small town Deer Drop.
Yet, time spent together soon has Tavi and Dylan realizing they have more in common than they could have ever imagined and catching feelings for each other. Although Tavi doesn't believe she is worth it and Dylan knows better than most that there is no point getting attached.
And with a slow burn, romance and a delightful mix of emotion, heat, humour and sweetness. Rich in Your Love was an enjoyable and engaging read. That I would happily recommend to others.
**I was kindly provided with an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review**
Tavi is a social media influencer with a lot of secrets. She would rather be out of the limelight focusing on saving her secret cocoa farm, but she is stuck in a small town called Tickled Pink. This is due to her grandmother cutting of her trust fund access, which she needs for her cocoa farm, because her grandmother insists her soul needs to be saved and the only way to do so is by doing charity work in the town. Her first charity project is the town plumber, Dylan Wright, who has his own secrets. I adored Tavi and Dylan together. I loved how they were able to peel back each other's layers to see the real person inside. They helped each other learn how to forgive themselves for who they used to be and that it was okay to love themselves. They helped each other see that despite who they used to be and the bad things they did in the past, they still deserved to be loved by others. I was very entertained by the townsfolk and their interactions with Tavi and Dylan. I highly recommend this book! It has a perfect mix of humor, romance, sexy moments, wonderful messages and amazing character growth!
“If I had to be born rich, I wish I’d been born rich in character instead. Rich in integrity. Rich in love.”
What draws me to this small town romance series is the spotlight on community. The message in Pippa Grant’s beautiful romcom, “Rich In Your Love”, is simple: the place where you belong is among people who believe in you, love you for who you are, and know 100% that you can rise above all the crap that crappy people give you.
The story continues from book 1 in the same summer in Tinkled Pink, where the socialite family - the Lightlys - have invaded the quietude and simplicity of the town. Grandma Lightly has each member’s trust fund on hold, including her granddaughter, Octavia/Tavi, in hopes that they’ll change their lives for the better so that they can go to heaven (influenced by a popular film that was made in that town).
Tavi appears to be an entitled, spoiled, and superficial vegan, though secretly she is a selfless, generous, kind-hearted, and hardworking sugar “n” meat lover. Why the secrecy? Well, it’s like what Julia Roberts says in Pretty Woman: “People put you down enough, you start to believe it…The bad stuff is easier to believe.”
Meanwhile, Dylan, the town’s plumber, sees Tavi’s true self. “There’s way more going on inside that skull than the world gives her credit for. And if I know anything about how hard a person can be hard on themselves, I’d be willing to bet she doesn’t give herself enough credit either.”
While it’s a romantic slow burn at its best, the story is entertaining. But what I enjoyed the most about it is seeing how Dylan and Tavi make each other believe in themselves…how to love their own self…how to accept a community of people who love and support and believe in you.
Thanks to the author, Montlake, and Netgalley for an advanced copy.
I absolutely loved this sexy romance book. It felt great to go back to Tickled Pink, Wisconsin and rediscover the fun characters I enjoyed so much in the first book in the series: The One Who Loves You. In the second book, Tavi, a social media influencer, has a big secret and she must play her cards right to finally break free from her family and make a name for herself. But then she meets Dylan, the local plumber and falls for him. This is definitely a monkey wrench in her plans. What will she choose? Love or be herself? This is a heated and sexy story that you do not want to miss. Get your copy today.
Book 2 in this the Tickled Pink series was just as delightful as book 1. I love the concept of this family being forced by their awful grandmother Gigi, to atone for their sins and lifestyle after almost dying. They're all forced to life in and renovate the old high school. The 3 siblings, Phoebe, Tavi (Octavia) and Carter along with Gigi, her butler/boyfriend Niles, and the parents. If you've read book one you know that dear old mom leaves Tickled Pink at the end of that book.
Tavi is a fake, she had been living a fake life for the cameras and her 'job' as an influencer, but the real her is so much more. I have to say that she's my absolute favorite character so far in this series. I felt for her and the childhood she was robbed of, I mean they all were robbed but especially Tavi.
I loved her secret life and her generous heart and I was rooting hard for her all through this book. There's so much to unpack with this story, and how truly strong Tavi actually is. I loved that Dylan, the Plumber, saw through her fake personality to the real one. I can say I swooned HARD, I mean, really hard. Who doesn't want a real life Dylan of their own??
This ending was pure perfection snd greatly satisfying that Tavi got her HEA on her own terms!
Social media influencer Tavi and smokin-hot plumber Dylan cross paths in Tickled Pink, Wisconsin, because Tavi's grandmother doesn't want to go to hell. Something Dylan knows all about.
Tavi seems to have it all an influencer job that takes her around the world. But she's been keeping a sweet secret and needs her grandmother to release her trust fund to make that happen.
This very funny romantic comedy explores how we grow as humans, even when the world thinks they've got you pegged.
And that scene with Captain America Chicken - y'all - it was a good thing I wasn't drinking or eating anything at that moment.
This book has: Comedy Medium spice Small town shenanigans Couple is 29+
Between the title of this book and the accompanying blurb there’s no mystery around what its about or how it will end. Of course if you’re a regular reader of this genre there’s never really any mystery about how the story will end. It’s the journey, not the destination that keeps us reading contemporary romance. Well the guaranteed happily ever endings do too. And then there’s the sex. Pippa Grant is the master of the zany Rom.-Com. Who else creates a series in a town named Tickled Pink Wi. populated by interesting, lovable characters and equally lovable critters? This is the second and it appears last book in her Tickled Pink series. This is the story of two people Octavia “Tavi” Lightly trust fund baby, social influencer, secret philanthropist, middle child of a totally dysfunctional Upper East Side Manhattan family and Dylan Wright, plumber, all around good guy, middle child of a working class dysfunctional family born and raised in Tickle Pink, and how they learned to forgive and love themselves and in doing so allow themselves to be loved by others. Both characters have things they’ve done in their pasts that they are ashamed of and make them feel unworthy of love. Dylan was as he calls himself “an absolute shit” growing up doing all sorts of cruel pranks and misdeeds hurting others. He has turned his life around but still is weighed down by the guilt of his past acts. Tavi was raised to believe all she had going for her was her looks. So as an adult she transitioned her child beauty queen status and family name into becoming a social influencer, using her wealth to pimp a fake materialistic lifestyle to others while promoting a vegan life, acting like a totes air head. Having learned from her family she has also been a bit ruthless in dealing with others. Tavi like Dylan at almost 30 years old has seen the light and turned her life around. She hates being a social influencer and projecting a false image to her millions of followers, but she needs the money it earns to keep her staff employed and continue to support her charities. She has been developing a cocoa farm in Costa Rica to save the land from being bought up by a mining company and give the locals good jobs doing what they love. She’s developing and managing the farm with her only real friend Naomi. The farm has become her refuge and she dreams of one day being able to retire her public image, get away from her toxic family and live on the farm. Problem is between what she pays her support staff for her social influencer job and what she gives away to charity she needs her trust fund to get the cocoa farm up and running until they can produce enough cocoa beans to make the exclusive chocolates they dream of marketing to make the farm self-sustaining. When Tavi’s demented and controlling grandmother Gigi who controls her and her siblings trust funds freezes her trust fund and insists she come live in Tickled Pink with her parents and siblings to ostensibly save their souls she has no choice but to accept her demand. There she meets Dylan, the town’s plumber and one of its favorite sons. Tavi is immediately attracted to the handsome Dylan who seems to have a perpetual smile and kind word for everyone. But because she has no intention of remaining in Tickled Pink any longer than she has to and because she doesn’t feel worthy of being with such a good guy Tavi does her best to avoid a romantic entanglement with Dylan. Dylan is a little messed up in the romance department. Hannah has been his BFF since second grade. Even when being a shit she stood by him. In their twenties they became on again off again lovers. Dylan thought he was in love with Hannah but never told her because he felt unworthy of her love. Two years ago Hannah met Andrew, married him and is now pregnant with his baby. Dylan is forced to realize that Hannah never felt about him the way he felt about her and he has to move on. Tavi wants to help Tickled Pink promote tourism so that people will still find reasons to come there once her famous or infamous family leaves. She believes creating a Tick Tok channel featuring the handsome plumber giving plumbing advice will help in that effort. She tells Dylan it will also have women lining up to date him to help him get over Hannah. As they spend time together by believing in each other they help each other believe they are good people worthy of being loved and of course fall in love with each other. One of the many things I loved about this story is the way Pippa absolutely skewers these vapid social influencers who are as she puts it, famous for being famous, (think Kardashians) who try to convince women that if they follow their lifestyle they too can be beautiful and happy. I loved how the important secondary characters as well as Phoebe and Teague were important secondary characters in this book too. I loved how Dylan refused to let Tavi hide behind the fake persona she showed the public and forced her to reveal her true personality to him which he continued to assure her was worthy of being loved. I liked how Tavi begrudgingly began to build a friendship with her older sister Phoebe the female protagonist from the first book. It took time because for years Phoebe had been held up to Tavi by her mother as the type of smart, successful and naturally slender woman Tavi could never hope to be. And these two were raised to compete with each other not be friends. I liked how Dylan finally came to understand who and what Hannah was to him although honestly I’m not sure if he ever really understood her motivations for being his friend. But he did manage to put their relationship in a proper place. Just another great book by Pippa Grant with lots of heart, laughs and a sprinkling of steamy sex.
Book 2 in Tickled Pink was cute. It was about as good as book 1, and of course, Phoebe and Teague made cameos.
Dylan, the plumber, is the MMC in this one. He's been in love with his female best friend for as long as he can remember. When Tavi tries to hit on him the first time, he claims he's involved—until that friend ends up pregnant by the man she is married to.
Tavi is in Tickled Pink and trying to save the Cacoa farm after Gigi locked down the trust fund she had been using to help fund it.
There is plenty of GiGi in this one to irritate the heck out of you, but I do like how it ended.
