Great stories!

This was a great book filled with short stories that were all PNR. Each story has the potential to be fleshed out into a larger book. I loved reading it.

This review is for CL Carhart's story, Gift of Air. If you have read the Augustin series, you will recognize CL's smooth, easy-flowing prose and the Teuton culture she writes of. Gift of Air combines fantasy and romance.
Young, head-strong Ilse is put in a position where she needs a hero to rescue her, but she doesn't want to give up her deep-seated need to make a difference.
For a shorter story, the characters are exceptionally well developed. I like Ilse and Horst and was rooting for them.
CL Carhart's writing always makes me think. I don't want to provide any spoilers, but this story had me thinking about family dynamics and motivations. I wondered how I would feel in Ilse's shoes.
I understand this is the prequel to a new series and I can't wait to find out what happens next!

Note: I received an ARC in exchange for sharing an honest review. The thoughts in this review are entirely my own.

This review is for From Hell with Love by G. R. Loreweaver. I really had no idea where this story was going. Initially, I didn't care for it but I am so glad I kept on reading because I soon was immersed in the story. The world development was rich and easy to get lost in and the characters were pretty fun for creatures from hell. The story was short, creative and a page turner.

FIND SOLACE IN HIS EMBRACE

The story is the first in the new Mystic River Shifters. It will have a great cast of characters, including humans and shifters. The two main characters will be Dr. Autumn Bradley, a veterinarian from Seattle, and Sheriff Jackson ‘Jax’ Miller of the town of Mystic River on Kodiak Island, Alaska.

The story’s plot will have Autumn and her fiancé, Porter Martin, III, on Kodiak Island to celebrate Autumn’s birthday. They will have a falling out, and she realizes that he isn’t the man for her. She will give him back his ring and take off on one of the trails, and Porter will leave the island. It isn’t until he is contacted by the rangers from the National Forest Service that they realize he has abandoned Autumn and she is missing. They will contact Jax, one of the best trackers, to find her—especially with a storm system approaching.

Kodiak Island, Alaska is home to all kinds of shifters, one of which is Jax, a Kodiak bear; his deputy, Kyra, is a lynx; and his friend, Ash, a park ranger, a wolf shifter. Ash will contact Jax to search for Autumn.

“I’d best start looking for our little runaway.”

The story has mystery, suspense, danger, and a lone Kodiak bear realizing this little human is his fated mate. He will protect her from a dangerous predatory, spank her for her behavior, gets her to his cave, and keep her safe.

Jax: I told you to stay put on the boat. That’s the last time you disobey me without any consequences. I meant what I said; if you’d gone into the water, I’m not sure you would have survived. Got it?
Autumn: I understand English, Sheriff. But last time I checked, you had no authority over me. None.
Jax: I wouldn’t bet on that. That snowstorm is going to be nasty. They are predicting whiteout conditions for the next couple of days. That means you’re stuck with me in my cave.
Autumn: I won’t be any trouble.
Jax: You couldn’t be more wrong about that if you tried. You’re all kinds of trouble, Doc. Fortunately for you, I like trouble. In fact, you’re the kind of trouble I’ve been looking for.

The story is a novella for the Lunar Rising Anthology but will be added to and made into a full novel due on January 12, 2023. It will kick off a new small-town series, Mystic River Shifters.

In this incredible Anthology we receive so many spell binding stories from so many amazing authors
This is a review for G.R. Loreweaver's From Hell With Love. A very twisted and HOT read.
The top three rules of Hell are never meant to be broken.
1)Never fall in love. 2) Never disregard Mother Demon's words. 3) Demons are never allowed in the Earth Realm.
If one breaks any of these rules they are banished.
One bad ass feisty Hell Hound with messed up magic. 2 sexy demons given to her by Mother Demon to bring her magic back to par.
Read From Hell With Love to find out what happens with Lylleth and her two demons, Salem and Dante when she breaks the top rules of Hell.
Lots of quirky torture, suspense and steam.
Once again G.R. Loreweaver works her literary magic and brings us fun and intensity all in one story.

***Savage Mate by Delta James***
I absolutely enjoyed reading this short but intriguing shifter novella that has an interesting twist & I promise you that it is definitely worth reading. The plot is well-written with some unexpected situations & has surprisingly good world building with detailed scene descriptions. Both of the main characters (a feisty human female, Autumn Bradley) & (an alpha male bear shifter, Jackson Miller) are strong-willed individuals that were somewhat confrontational in the beginning of their relationship but as the time progressed they become emotional involved with each other.
There is: humans, various kinds of shifters, fated mates, Autumn’s inconsiderate ex-fiancé (Porter Martin), drama, suspense, mystery, disagreements, defiance, spankings, compromises & some steam. I look forward to reading the complete novel about this couple when it releases in January 2023.

This review is for Delta James' Savage Mate this is the beginning of a new shifter series introducing Mystic River, Kodiak Island, Alaska When a hiker goes missing without the necessary gear for her adventure. Jax Miller the Sheriff, decides to go in search of Autumn. But she is not what he expected to find impulsive, feisty, and strong, she is something very special but he isn't sure what. This is a well written story is in a short prequel. I can't wait to see what's going to happen in Mystic River in the future.

Mystic River Shifters

I really enjoyed this novella. This is the start of a new series for the author, Mystic River Shifters. We are introduced to the new series through Jax, a Kodiak bear shifter. He is the sheriff of Mystic River, Alaska where most everyone is a shifter of some kind. Jax is called out to track a missing hiker, Autumn, before the incoming storm hits. Jax quickly realizes that Autumn is his fated mate and works to keep her. That's where this story ends.

I really can't wait until the series starts in January 2023. This looks to be another winner for this talented author. She always has strong (sometimes over the top 🙄) male shifters who look to find their fated mate. These women are all strong and independent and ONLY submissive to their mates. It may not be politically correct, but I really like her stories.

This review is for CL Carhart's story, Gift of Air. I have not read any of the other stories in this anthology, nor do I plan to since I'm not big on romance stories. However, I am a fan of Carhart's Teutonic realm, and this story did not disappoint. We met Ilsa and Horst in her previous series (His Name Was Augustin), but here we were treated to their backstory - the momentous events that sparked their initial meeting, and the sweet story of how their friendship developed towards marriage. I loved it! The pacing and character development were well executed, and it had enough intrigue to keep this non-romance lover engaged.

Savage Mate by Delta James.

A VERY short story and quick read. I knew it was a novella, but just as I was settling in to Jax and Autumn's story, it was over. I loved that Autumn was so self sufficient. Typical Delta James female lead - strong, intelligent, independent, and self sufficient, and Jax was the intense Alpha.

This novella was interesting because in the few chapters I read, I encountered at least 3 different types of shifters. I am absolutely hoping that Jax and Autumn's story will be continued at some point. There was so much left unanswered.

I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book received from the author.

This review is for Jagger: The Awakening by Charmain Louise Shelton

Charmaine Louise Shelton gives us a refreshing take on the shifter verse in her prequel Jagger: The Awakening. This story is hot, emotional, and amazing, and I am always glad to read about POC in romance stories. The author deftly sets up the back story of Jagger, the alpha of his pack and his fated mate, Sage Waters, the high witch of her coven. The only problem is that wolves and witches are forbidden from marrying. But now that Jagger realizes that Sage is his mate nothing will stop him from being a part of his life. I eagerly await the rest of this thrilling story.

Delta knocked it out of the park with Savage Mate!!

Delta sucked me from the beginning and she didn’t let me go. Jax is the epitome of a grumpy, alpha hunk and a sheriff to top it off, who doesn’t love a man with authority. I loved Autumn’s sass and feistiness. Despite being lost in the wilderness, she refuses to submit to Jax’s control, which he is quickly losing as he determines what she really is to him and his future. I cheered her on from the start when she kicked Porter to the curb. She is so much better off without him. This quick peak into Mystic River was incredible and I cant wait for more.

From Hell With Love

G. R. Loreweaver’s most recent short story has brought a rather unique telling of Hellhounds and demos. They just get so much enjoyment out of torturing evil souls. After reading about Lylleth’s methods she used on Terry, I applaud her because he was one sick depraved being. I loved Lylleth’s two bonded mates, Salem and Dante, they are as opposite as night and day. Salem is funny, laughs a lot, and carefree, whereas Dante needs his shoe laces loosened up a bit. I really loved this book and couldn’t put it down until the very last page. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!

Lunar Rising is a limited edition of paranormal romance anthology by a bunch of authors. I have the pleasure of discussing the short From Hell With Love by G.R. Loreweaver. We meet Lylleth Akeldama, a hell hound in hell who loves her job. She meets a couple demons that are bound to her - Salem Dunn and Dante Moreno - who will help her with her job. But Lylleth broke rule number one: Don't fall in love. Quick, fast read. I really enjoyed this trip to Hell. Looking forward to enjoying more stories in this anthology.

This is based on the story "Gift of Air" by C.L. Carhart -- Ilsa is a strong FMC who protests her sister’s untimely death brought on by her family’s beliefs. Teutonic priests wish to silence her protest and send a missive to single priests to try to marry her off. But Ilsa knows that she doesn’t wish to be some meek wife. When one priest answers the call, will Ilsa give in, or will she stand her ground to find a mate who truly considers her an equal?

Highly recommended if you’re looking to cozy up with a gripping story featuring magical elements set in 1950s Austria.

Review for Curses and Shadows by Amanda Aggie

I have had the pleasure of reading other worlds by Amanda and she has not disappointed. This story has a little bit of everything sprinkled in it. I love that a wolf shifter fell in love with a witch and will do anything to protect her. It has you on the edge of your seat wanting to know how it ends. And there is some build up spice!

Thank you to the author for providing me with a copy of the story to read and review. This review is my opinion and mine alone.

This review is for Amanda Aggie’s Curses and Shadows

Amanda Aggie never ceases to amaze me! I was blown away by how lovely Curses and Shadows was, like all of Aggie’s work. (Go check her out!) I thoroughly loved and enjoyed every second of her magical creatures.. and magic! 🪄😉 There’s vampires, witches, werewolves, angels, all of the above and MORE! The endings are one thing I always look forward to, despite not wanting the story to end. And wow did she not disappoint. I definitely recommend Curses and Shadows as a go-to Halloween read!!

- super happy Aggie Arc reader!

Curses and Shadows is a good short story that gives a fun spin to zombies while incorporating some new characters into a great book universe. Here’s the one downside… it wasn’t long enough! I now need another full length version of this short story! What really pulled me in was Elise and how amazing she seemed even with not conforming to the normal of everything and how everything flowed without knowing backstory for her and Noah. The surprise at the end got me though and I’m still not sure how to feel about it. Definitely interesting but not how I expected the book to end up.

Review for Jagger the Awakening by Charmaine Louise Shelton

Jagger and Sage are the ultimate fated mates, forbidden love in this prequel and I'm clawing for more. There's always something about a wolf discovering his mate that just does it for me and the more forbidden the better! Everyone knows wolves and witches are a no-no in the supernatural world. However, wolves have a determination to get their mate no matter what obstacles stand in the way and I'm always around panting for more!

Mates

This anthology has some great stories in it. In Close Encounters a wolf shifter in dire need of help and protection finds what he needs in a fierce human mate who's only experience with the supernatural is editing romance books. Psychic Flashes is a fun story about a snobby playboy turned werewolf who meets his hardworking psychic mate and learns how to live happily for himself instead of others.

From Hell with Love by G.R. Loreweaver is a funny and spicy anthology about a hell hound and two demons that are bound to her. The relationships develop quickly and the humor is awesome. Salem is probably my favorite of the two demons, because he has this "don't care if it's instant puppy love" view, and his interaction with them drives them crazy at times. It's a quick read, and definitely a favorite in this book.

After reading this book I had to take a little time to compose myself and get my thoughts clear in my head before I put them in a review.
Wow this book was amazingly written. Once I started I couldn’t put it down till I was finished. This book has twists and turns you don’t know what’s happening. will they all get there happily ever after or will it all go wrong. To find out what happens go buy the book. You won’t be disappointed I wasn’t.

I bought this for Amanda Aggie story "Curses and Shadows". Her story catches me in the first few pages and drags me into the shifter world that she writes so well. Elise and Noah's story is everything I have wanted and more! Their story is a definite 5 🌟!

I may have bought it for that one book but I read the others to and they were just as amazing! I'm so glad I read this in the middle of my October tbr. You won't regret any of these books and you might just find a new author like I did.

From Hell with Love is such an amazing addition to this anthology. G.R. Loreweaver did it again with this brilliant story. This story is dark, steamy, and all around incredible. Dante and Salem are completely different personalities, but everything that Lylleth needs. Definitely don't hesitate, pick up this book and start reading!

Oh this was so good. I could have read so much more of these three.
I don’t what it is but I love a psycho bad boy who melts for his girl.
I’d love to see what happens next and how they deal with the circumstances they find themselves in.
Very well written and detailed given it was a short story. Plus very steamy!!

This review is for the story Savage Mate by Delta James.
I loved it. Her characters leap off the page and into your imagination fully formed and ready to play.
It’s all about the dominant nature that can be uplifting and not something to fear.
I love that this gets right down to the top of things! Basic instinct is a real magical and magnetic pull.

Readers are going to love this!

*this review is for From Hell with Love by G. R. Loreweaver* I was kind of confused on whose point of view I was reading sometimes. However, I enjoyed every character. My favorite one would have to be Salem. It is a definite page turner, to where you get sucked into hell with the hellhounds. Love reading all things created by G.R.
