I’ve been happily married almost 13 years. Until tonight. Not once has that man ever wrapped tendrils of shadow around me and professed that I am his stars in an endless night sky. Sheesh.

This was a superb follow up on the first book in the series. These characters jump off the page, each with their own pace of delivery. It makes the story so rich. Some chapters I flew through, and some begged to be savored. /grin

The spice in this one was just right. She brings the heat up from the first book, but it’s done so well, that it doesn’t feel cheap or copy/ paste.

And then the action. Wow! Bravo, Jade, on the second story in this wonderful tale.

From smoking hot sex scenes to a fantastical battle between dueling kingdoms, this duet had a little bit of everything. This time around Cari did irk me a bit, sure she’s an assassin but with four mates you can’t just run off on potentially life threatening tasks. Then again the guys (because of their overprotective natures) also try and coddle her in ways that have the opposite effect. Considering their pairing and marriage is fairly new, it’s to be expected they still have to fully get to know one another. Which is why no epilogue kinda hurts me. Granted her bestie and new Queen is set to get her own harem and series, I still wanted a glimpse into the future and their HEA. The journey to take down her father is bloody and brutal but hopefully in the aftermath her mates can help rebuild not only their own kingdoms but the entire realm.

First, I can’t say how excited I was to receive an ARC for this book. I loved Her Villains so much and am so excited to have read this one as well. If you love Marvel, I can’t recommend this duology enough.

This book picks up right where the last left off with Cari and her mates Steel (Capt. America), Tor (Thor), Talon (Iron Man), and Lock (Loki) chasing after Cari’s evil father (The Shattered Isle King). There are twists and turns, love and lies, and of course SPICE (including the long awaited Cari + Talon + Lock scene 🥵).

The appearance of other MCU type characters such as Hawkeye, Venom, Ant Man, and Bucky Barnes made this book all the more enjoyable and I can’t wait to see them all in Jade’s next book.

I think the whole assigning a queen was a little ridiculous and there was So. Much. Banging in this book. The story arc is over, so I'm stopping the series here.

I read this book via Kindle Unlimited.

You're my stars in an endless night sky, my sanity in a sea of madness, my chaos in the midst of normality. There is not a force in this universe that could ever make me question my love for you.

I can't say I'm not disappointed in this book. The first book in this series was perhaps the best RH book I had ever read. I don't often make a habit of reading RH but KU provides a chance to step out of my comfort zone, and when I found out there was a sequel to Her Villains, I was excited. The reason I enjoyed the first one was that the plot existed perfectly alongside the spice whereas this book felt the opposite. The plot seemed to take a back seat most of the time, and I actually started to find Cari incredibly annoying. She was rash, annoying and lacked patience in most of this book. I get the person they were after is literally her dad but it seemed like she had this journey trusting her four princes and then decided oops still going to do it myself.

Anyway, I would read more from this author in the future, but this book feels like it fell a little flat. I'm a bit disappointed.

Her Revenge is the second and final installment within The Shattered Isle duology. Just like the first one, I completely devoured this book. Now I'm just sort of in a book hangover situation because I need to get my hands on Gessi's book stat!

Other than that, it takes a while for Cari to realize what her father is actually doing. Which, I can't really blame the girl because she is having all sorts of yummy romance times with the guys. That is until they split up because they have so many territories to cover and protect. On top of all that, she finds out that her sister from another mister is captured by her father and the evil general.

So, she does what any good person would do. She tires out her mates and leaves them while they are sleeping to go save her friend. Once they figure it out, they are super pissed but run off to go help her anyways. Lots of chaos and fighting towards the end. Which sort of felt rushed to me but now we have a general on the run.

I will definitely be jumping into Gessi's story because she's going to have her hands full with her own guys. Plus, I really need the general to be found and killed. Just saying.

This was a good sequel, starting right after the first book and following Cari's mission to take out her father. I did feel like this had less plot than the first one, it was mostly Cari and the guys developing their relationship and parts of the story felt like filler. I did love the steamy scenes, I just would have liked a bit more going on too.

The ending sets up a new book starring Cari's best friend Gessi and her own group of men. I'm looking forward to reading that and seeing what they get up to.

Ragazz* che dire. Non mi è piaciuto per niente. Oltre le continue ripetizioni (che ci sono anche nel primo), è diventato pesante. "Devo uccidere mio padre" e bla bla bla. BASTA. Parliamo di altro no? Chiaramente no. Le scene spicy: alcune belle altre un po' strane e non tanto capibili.

Subpar plot. I was pretty bored and fast forwarded through the s3x scenes because I was so over them. I wanyes to read this to see if I should read the Never List but if anything this turned me off to that book.

4.5 stars! okay okay okay! You already knowww the steamm in this book 10/10! No need to even discuss this. The action though? I like how even though this isnt the longest book ever, the author still gave us such a good plot. The action sequences are really good. I love how strong of a character Cari is. I also like how she set up the third books characters slowly in this one. My only thing is the constant repetition of the word mate. I feel like there really isnt a good alternative so I get it but still just cringes me slightly. Regardless, love it. Also.. Lock?! I think he may be my favorite bc of his words. Please call me "darling". I would melt.

I got an ARC for this book! I loved Her villains and Her revenge was no disappointment!

I will keep this review spoiler-free

First of all, I must say I really liked the character development of the new characters, and it really made me curious for The Assassins!

Cari's relationship with her mates is still slightly developing, which was great to read, and I loved to read about the bonds' effects on her. I might have liked a bit more relationship development but we still got some of it as I mentioned.

The fighting scenes were great, and the storyline was on point, making me doubt at some points.

Finally, the Marvel's references were greatly appreciated (and highlighted in my Kindle ver) and made it all more magic!

**4.5 Stars Rounded Up**

Recommended for fans of: Marvel Studios, The Bridge Kingdom

Thank you so much to Jade Presley for an ARC of Her Revenge ! I was so excited to read this book after finishing Her Villains, and I was not let down in the slightest.

This installment takes place immediately following the events of Her Villains, with Cari, Lock, Talon, Steel and Tor joining together to save the fate of the All Plane and Shattered Isle. The relationships the characters had with one another flowed seamlessly from book 1 to book 2, and the action embedded into the plot was nonstop, making the book extremely hard to put down.

Whereas Her Villains seemed to focus more on the blossoming relationships Cari had with all four princes with special attention to Steel and Tor, I felt that this installment focused more on Lock and Talon, so if you're a fan of either character, this book is definitely for you!! Rest assured for all the Steel/Tor fans, there are still plenty of scenes with them.

Presley also introduced some new fan favorite characters, where I audibly gasped upon seeing added to the cast of characters. I cannot wait to read more about him and Gessi --as well as a few other key characters-- in The Assassins.

In sum, if you enjoyed Her Villains (or any Marvel project for that matter), then you will definitely enjoy Her Revenge ! Make sure to pick it up when it goes on sale on May 31st, 2022!

I’m so happy with this ending

I started skipping the spicy scenes. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! I was so excited to find out what happens in the story that I skipped over spicy scenes. This book kept me on the edge of my seat and it didn’t disappoint. Cari is unstoppable. It feels like there are so many books with the male hero saves the girl. But Cari and even Gessi can save themselves. Their characters aren’t defined by their men and I love that. But the men were as hot as ever.

I mean you can’t tell me that you can read this without swooning?!

“You’re my stars in an endless night sky, my sanity in a sea of madness, my chaos in the midst of normality. There is not a force in this universe that could ever make me question my love for you.”

If you tell me you did, I might not believe you.

While I was able to predict certain situations, this book’s strength is the characters. You can’t help but feel something about them, positive or negative. Again, I do hope there’s a bonus scene at some point of them just hanging out all together. The book felt so GO GO GO, that I missed some quieter times. Their quiet times feel heavy due to the feeling of pending doom.

Over all, definitely recommend!

Also, I am obsessed with Gessi and her assassin men and I can’twait for her book!

3.5 rounded up to 4 stars!

I enjoyed this book and read it in one quick swoop! I wanted a bit more plot, but it is what it is lol. I liked having a new cast of characters come in and I'm excited that the author is going to keep expanding the universe with Gessi's series. The brothers Varian and Crane were a great addition, as were Storm and River, even though I'm still not sure how they're going to fit in. I wish we had gotten to know the new characters a bit more. I liked seeing more of Cari's upbringing and training. It gives us insight into the character.

I’m so disappointed with the ending. The same thing happened with the first book. I feel like the writer rushes the ‘big fight’. This story had so much potential. I personally think it would have been better for Cari’s character if her Dad killed some of her mates before he died.
I think that when they were fighting in the fire realm, before Blaize came to the rescue, Steel should have died. Everything was going downhill, Cari had a perfect view of him but couldn’t get to him. I think that would have given her more drive to kill her dad.
I think it should have been Steel because Cari seems the closest to him.
Also her Dad is supposed to be a very powerful man, yet he doesn’t ever put up much of a fight?

The writer has put in wayyyyy too many spicy chapters. It got too much. I’m the end I did end up skipping the spicy bits. I was more interested in the story line. Having too much spice made me lose interest

I devoured the first one in the series and the second one was no exception. You pick up right where you left off(so may need to re-read the first one if it's been awhile). The book really showcased each relationship this time around which I enjoyed. Very fast paced and I read it in one sitting!

I am a huge Marvel fan, so when I saw a reverse harem that involved four characters similar to the superheroes we know and love, I was intrigued. After reading book 1 Her Villains, I was hooked. I followed the author on Tik Tok and saw an opportunity to get an ARC of Her Revenge. I applied, and was lucky enough to find this in my library today. Book 2 did not disappoint and I finished it in one sitting. The story line is *chef's kiss*, and this is what keeps me reading. Think Marvel with a little bit of Avatar the Last Airbender thrown in (element manipulation). The intimate scenes between the characters are good, but the character development and dialogue are what makes this (unfinished at the time of this review) book series a must read.

It took me a hot minute to finish this one tbh xD I had/have the most mssive reading slump and Its been a struggle to pick up a book but slowly we;ll finished them one by one.
I think what i struggled with with this one is because it follows so tightly on the first one, I've gotten kind of out of it. And when you're super into the story you can deal with the cringe a bit better? xD because although the story is really fun, Cari is a hella bad ass and I love her and Gessi- it's all still just a Marvel Fanfic x).
Either way it's entertaining, the spice it hot and I had fun reading it :)

This is the 2nd book in the Shattered Isle series and the best one!

I really enjoyed book 1 Her Villain's but this one kicked it up a notch, with the action sequences, plot and of course our All Plane Princes.

So this picks up right where book 1 left us and it's action packed from the get go. Jade did an amazing job with the world building. I loved how in depth she went describing the different realms and the people who live there.

This book solidified that Cari, Talon, Lock, Steel and Tor are perfect mates for each other. Cari brings out the best in all of them and now how is suited to there different personalities and treats them as individuals.

Cari grew more into the Queen role and getting used to the idea of being one. Fitting the role perfectly making the hard choices along the way. Also literally being the enemies daughter brings is another hurdle to overcome to prove her self that is belongs in the All Plane. The spice is *chef's kiss* Talon has my heart but all 4 are swoon worthy.

The teaser for Gessi's book FUCK! I need it now. I want her story and hope that a couple of things that were left in this book comes up in hers!

If your a fan of the Marvel series then this is for you.

Couldn’t put it down!!!

Her revenge
I got this as an ARC and I was so excited when this popped up on my kindle. Whether you enjoy the marvel universe or not this book is for you. I was so excited that I got this book as an arc reader. This book is just as good, if not better than the first. We start off with 2 steamy scenes (one with Lock and the other with Talon) in the first 4 chapters! The book is full of action and steamy scenes and we meet really interesting new characters. I can’t wait to read more about these new characters in the next book, The Assassins! I could never pick a favorite guy but the scene with Lock and Talon is so hot. All the characters are written so well and the love the guys have for Cari is adorable. This is one of my favorite series I’ve read this year and I can’t wait for more from her!

Jade Presley always knows how to keep my attention, and this book was no different.

I loved how we got to see more of the connection shared between Talon and Cari. They both carry the weight of responsibility.

Talon carries the weight of his family; he feels responsible for everything that has gone wrong. Meanwhile, Cari feels responsible for all the pain and destruction her father has caused.

I also loved that we saw more of Gessi and Cari's relationship. Gessi is daring, willing to risk her own life to make a difference. We got introduced to Varian, who I can’t wait to see more of...new book boyfriend unlocked.

Lock is still one of my all-time favorites; he's dangerous, morally gray, and a shadow daddy.

I highly recommend picking up this series if you love why choose, Marvel-inspired books, and fated mates.

I love these characters and piecing together the similarities between the two universes! I really loved how Cari’s bond with her mates grew in this novel and seeing how everyone’s dynamic came together! Cari is one badass FMC!
