“Holi” is a non-fictional book about the festival of colors in south Asia. What I like about this book is that it offers the children information, while being interesting. It provides the reader what the holiday is, where it takes place, traditions, and how they celebrate. This book is age appropriate for early elementary students and provides a lot of visuals that enhance the story. The visuals in this book are real life pictures and shows just how beautiful the celebration is. The readers are exposed to a new culture and their traditions. The author of this book has written many books on historical topics and celebrating holidays; there are no negative stereotypes.
