Covens of Eaton Falls #3

Vampires Make Bad Roommates

Rate this book
alternate cover edition of ASIN B09TJV1MLL

I'm a medium so someone please tell me how I never saw this coming.

We're at war with no idea why or how to stop the enemy, so when head vampire Augustus suggests we pair up to stay safe, logically it makes sense. Unfortunately for me, I end up with the only hyper vampire as my new roommate.

Laramie has been making puppy dog eyes at me since the first time we met, but what he doesn't know is I have zero intention of falling down the in-love-with-a-vampire hole like my friends Leo and Presley have. I don't have time for a relationship and no desire to be immortal. A mortal lifespan is more than enough, thank you very much.

What I don't expect is Laramie to be so damn brilliant. Even with my connection to the spirit world, his time on the planet has given him insights I could never have. When he's being serious, which is rare, I can hardly take my eyes off him. Slowly, I find myself feeling things. I'm not interested in love, but I might have time for some fun. I thought the vampire would make a bad roommate, but I'm beginning to think our living situation won't be so bad after all.

Vampires Make Bad Roommates is an MM paranormal romance featuring a studious, no-nonsense librarian medium, a vampire with border collie energy, a slow burn romance with a quick burn attraction, antique books, secret passages, and more demons causing havoc. It is book three in the Covens of Eaton Falls series. Each book features a different couple with an ongoing conflict and therefore should be read in order.

“There’s nothing to fear, what is frightening about being loved so wholly and fully that you could never want for anything else in your life ? ”

“Trust yourself, Riley.Trust your heart”.

How lovely in Laramie, this poetic, history-loving vampire with a heart of gold and the patience of a saint. Just his luck he is smitten with a prickly witch with walls so high and thick that even magic couldn’t tear them down.

There is something extra special about someone falling in love despite their attempts to not do so. But you can’t fight fate. And Riley must learn to accept fate in all matters, not just those of the heart.

The overall story heats up in this book with lots of expected twists and turns. It’s definitely the most action-packed of the books. I couldn’t put it down, and I’m not sure how patient I will be waiting for the next one.

One of the things I love about this series is that though each book is about one couple, you still get to see a lot of the others so you never feel like you’ve lost them, especially if you eat the brownies!!

A different tone to this instalment

There was definitely a more serious tone to this book and while the romance is still important, it's not quite as swoony as the other two.

However, there's major plot developments for the war with the demons and their odd leader which move things on rapidly.

I liked Laramie, he's basically a Golden Retriever in vampire form. Riley's a harder nut to crack but I eventually understood him too.

They're sweet together once he gets over his fears and follows his destiny.

Vampires Make Bad Roommates is the third book in the Covens of Eaton Falls serie by Mia Monroe. This book is about Larabie and Riley. The war continues in this third book in the series, it starts immediately where the second one stopped.

I really loved their story. It was sweet, sexy, fun, thrilling, full of feels and very well written.

Every book in this series is about a new couple but the series has an ongoing story so should be read in order.

Well I can totally say I am with Riley and didn't see what was coming. Laramie is the sweetest, most poetic Vampire ever. He was so patient with Riley, even when he was at his most prickliest. The two of them had so much in common with their love of books and research. Fate knew what they were doing when they paired the two of them. It just took Riley a bit longer to accept it. I could understand where Riley was coming from. He was being cautious as life had taught him. Laramie just continued to stick by him, waiting for Riley to figure it out.

I loved them together. And when they got behind closed doors? Watch out baby. Riley became the unexpected one in that aspect of the book. There is forward motion on the overarching plotline, but again we are left with more questions than answers. We learn some pretty shocking stuff, including some surprising things about our previous MCs. I do hope Tempest gets his own book at some point. There's something about that demon that just pulls at your heartstrings.

I feel like in book 4 the enemy is going to be stepping up his game after all the events happening in this one. I have no idea which couple is going to be next as there are many possibilities hinted at. I'm digging the vibe between Willem and Jack though. Give me all the jealous hate sex please. Based on the title of book 4 I am leaning more towards it being a certain astrology lovers book but I guess time will tell!

I’m afraid this was a case of “it’s me, not the book.” I felt like it was painfully cheesy. Guys - vampire or witch - just don’t talk like this.

Unfortunately, this story was too mushy and safe. What can I say? I live for the darker edge of romance.

The plot continues to thicken, and more and more revelations come to the surface. And, of course, more and more questions arise from these revelations. The beginning of this book makes me feel as though at some point, the full scope has to come into play, or things are going to get way too convoluted, if they haven't already. But thankfully, medium Riley has his own over-excited protection detail in the form of Vampire Laramie to help him navigate his way through all of the newfound chaos and confusion.

The confusion and chaos leads to Riley being pushed into a decision. Well, more accurately, the choice is taken away from him and he's quite rather coerced into it. This didn't really sit well with me. But it is what it is, and the plot must go on, as they say.

But with this decision comes a turning point. And that turning point changes the course of the war between some mysterious force, and, well, the entirely of existence, really. And as Riley struggles with his role in the war, Laramie never wavers.

Riley is guarded, extremely so, and Laramie never wavers. He knows that Riley is his fated mate (as Leo and Augustus, and Presley and Beto were fated, as well), but he is more than willing to be patient, and take his time wooing Riley, and proving his loyalty to him. And that definitely works in his favor, as Riley slowly lets him in, and they begin to build their relationship. (The timing isn't exactly great, but, well, nothing is really great on the brink of an existential war.)

Everything seems to be gearing up for the main part of the war, in this book. The majority of the scene has been set, or I hope so anyway. The intensity has certainly amped up. What I know for sure is that we've hit the peak, and now we're working our way towards the denouement, and, eventually, the grand finale.

Vampires Make Bad Roommates is the third book in the Covens of Eaton Falls series. Though each book is focused on a different romantic couple, there's an ongoing story arc weaved throughout so the series needs to be read in order.

Just a short time after all the big reveals in the previous book, things are heating up in Eatons Falls. The ongoing war has escalated and the enemies are getting smarter and stronger. So many events happened - a good number of twists and turns that were rather action packed, exciting and some a bit sad as well. We got to see a couple of side characters that appeared in the previous stories as they assist our main characters with their troubles.

This time around the story was focused on Laramie and Riley. I really adore Laramie. His bright, cheerful and optimistic personality was nicely written and made his character to be enjoyable and engaging. The opposite could be said for Riley especially during the start of the story. For someone who had been hurt because he was judged by other people for being a witch by nature and have these people stay clear way from him, he sure was pretty judgmental and prejudiced towards the vampires in general, especially Laramie. I do know that he grew up with this belief but still it was just annoying overall.

The romance between Riley and Laramie worked out in the end though I still have this feeling that Laramie's more invested in the relationship more than Riley was. Hopefully I wouldn't feel this way when I get to see more of them in the future.

Overall, this installment of the series was a pretty decent read. The lore and the world was pretty interesting and I did like all the additional information provided about the vampires, witches and other creatures that exist here. I liked Tempest and hopefully he gets to be featured more in the future. I am looking forward to what happens next.

Vampires Make Bad Roommates and this series is worth a look especially if you're looking for some low-angst, paranormal romantic story with fated mates and a bit of an intriguing ongoing plot entwined with each installment.

This would be a 3.75 stars out of 5 stars.

I received an ARC of this book and I have chosen to publish my fair and honest review.

Another amazing chapter in the Eaton Falls story.
I don’t always like paranormal books, but this series is one of the best I have read. I devoured it from the first page to the last. This book gives us Riley and Laramie’s story, and it was another fantastic read. I love all the interactions between the characters and their personalities which make for a terrific read. Riley and Laramie are lovely together, and as with the previous books in the series witch, Riley, has some changes and growing to go through, and sweet, supportive Laramie is there to help every step of the way.
This was an amazing read filled with discoveries, love, suspense, some angst and humour, steam and of course, danger. We get to know a little more about the darkness they are all dealing with in this story, and I am now eagerly waiting to see what happens next.
I received an ARC of this book to review, and this is my honest and voluntary opinion.

Things are heating up in Eaton Falls! Not just with the war but with the couples. Mia got me fanning my face. Laramie is an absolute gem of a vamp, so patient and caring and determined to get past Riley’s walls. They are an excellent couple and balance each other nicely. This book is action packed with conflicts between the allies and the demons, the identity of all the hybrids are discovered and secrets are revealed. The scene with Callisto’s cookies was hilarious and I really want more info on what was revealed there. Half the fun of these books for me is wondering who will be paired up next and there’s an interesting dynamic beginning here. Each book focuses on a different couple but this is NOT a standalone in terms of the greater storyline. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

This is the one I have been waiting for!!!

Mia Monroe has meshed her fabulous MM romances into a delicious Paranormal book, with Vampires Make Bad Room Mates. It is wonderful!

I have loved Mia’s other series’ and was thrilled to see her reach into the supernatural literary world. With book 3, in her Covens of Eaton Falls series, she magically blends the heart and the hot, which made me love ALL of her other books. Plus sparks fly with witches, vampires, demons and gargoyles, all racing against the clock to stop a mad man (?) trying to take over the world.

We see snarky, sweet, tender, trying, loyal, lusty, spooky and sentimental, in Riley and Laramie’s story, and Mia shining through it all!

The Coven of Eaton Falls series keeps getting better and better. Riley and Laramie are perfect together. Laramie is really into Riley but Riley doesn't want to become a vampire and he knows it's the only way that he can help fight the war that is around them. These two have so much in common and they are just as sweet and compassionate and their sexy times are hot. This book is romantic, low angst, action-packed, sweet, and funny, and with great characters, especially the ghosts. I'm hoping that Tempest gets his own book, I am really starting to like him. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

The Eaton Falls series is picking up steam now as we get further into the series plot and this time focus on witch Riley and vampire Laramie. This one felt a bit more character driven, with everything that Riley deals with but that doesn't detract from the drama and action as the "beautiful one" along with the demons continue to chase/kidnap/threaten the witch and vampire covens as well as the rest of the supernatural community.
Riley is most reluctant to be partnered with Laramie when they decide to put witches and vampires together for protection but it's not reasons many may think. He goes on quite the journey throughout this book, not wanting to feed or become a vampire, learning more about his own personal history as well as more that helps the covens move forward in their quest to learn more of what the "beautiful one" is after and why. Laramie has nothing but patience for him, sensing their connection from the start but more than happy to just be in the young man's presence. What starts out as opposites attract slowly develops to more as Riley opens himself up to the vampire whilst also learning more about himself and trusting in those around him.
The plot of the book is picking up with more interaction with the "beautiful one", finding out what the hybrids may have to do with everything and more interaction than you'd think with the spirit world. There's a really good mix of action, drama, romance and character development throughout the book. Mia's really drawn me into this world that has been created and I now find myself fully invested in the outcome. I'm not even sure who I want to have their story next as there's a few possibilities and they all deserve a HEA.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Purpose & Trust

Opposites…no wait, scratch that. Vampires and witches attract and I can’t get enough. Is it hot in here or is it just Laramie and Riley? You know what they say: don’t judge a librarian by their cover, and prickly Riley hides a lot behind his.

“Am I seriously considering offering my neck to him? Damn. Who knew that all a guy has to do to seduce me is show me some pretty books? F*ck. I did. I knew it.”

It’s me, it’s me! Is anyone else swooning as much as I am over these romantically eloquent vampires, especially ones who have an insatiable sweet tooth and love to read? Sunshiney Laramie can bite me any day, all day. Alas, his heart lies elsewhere, besides who am I to intervene in things beyond my ken. What I do know is Riley had a hard road to travel and I’m so, so proud of him for his bravery and for the choices he made. And I am blown away by all the love and support—every wisp and bounce—he received. I loved it all: the intense action, the steamy tension, the amazing found family, and the perfect pairing that are Riley and Laramie. I am dying to see what happens next as it’s not just ridges that have secrets and surprises in this fantastic world.

,,The soul knows things long before the mind does."

My favourite thing about this series - besides the wonderful vampire men - are the book titles.
Thanks to them, we've learned never to trust a man with fangs and that vampires make bad roommates. I would ignore both warnings.

This episode was definitely better, or at least I liked it better than the second in the series - unsurprisingly.
Laramie stole my heart in the first episode, she was so sweet. And it was no different in her own book of course.
She has a golden retriever energy that I think you just can't help but love. Goofy but serious at the same time, light but deep. Adorable.
Understandably, Riley couldn't resist him either. I had my reservations about Riley at the beginning - I didn't know if she could open up enough for the reader to empathise with her, but in the end I had nothing to fear and she became absolutely sympathetic.
I liked the seriousness of her, and then, as she opened up, the way she grew in her belief in herself.

Also, the storyline - a thread independent of the romance - was more exciting than in the previous episodes: we started to get more serious about the plot of the series and became engrossed in it.
This immersion was exciting and interesting, with lots of little foreshadowing of things to come.

All in all, I can say that I liked the book, the threads are starting to come together in the developed world, our pairing was good, so I have no complaints.
However I have to say that it didn't feel like the first volume. It was close, but also too far.

I have to say something here. For someone who says he has been hurt by people judging him and pulling away when he discovered he was a witch, Riley is extremely judgemental and prejudiced against the vampires, especially Laramie. It made me rather mad at the start of the book. Just from the interactions in the first two books, Laramie struck me as a hyperactive puppy and someone who just wants to enjoy life..or should I say existence since he is a vamp. He did not strike me as someone who would take advantage of others or force them to do something against their will. I realize there is a lifetime of distrust and misinformation to work through but still….

Ok that being said, this is a decent book, I love the world that has been created here but some of it is a bit predictable. Riley and Laramie do work out their differences in spite of Riley’s strong misgivings. Part of this story just feels off for me and I can’t quite put my finger on it. I like Laramie a lot, maybe that is why Riley’s attitude bothered me some. The other character I like a lot is Willem so I hope everything works out there. And the gargoyles were a nice touch. Like I said, there are parts to this series that I love and some others that I just don’t. I won’t connect with every character or book that I read so I guess that’s fair. I think this book and this series are worth a look. You might enjoy some parts that I couldn’t get past. I am still a huge fan of this author’s more contemporary Tattoos and Temptations series, so maybe I should just stick with that.

Another great addition to the series.

I really enjoyed Riley and Laramie's book. The overarching storyline keeps getting better and better, and I'm so looking forward to more. I appreciated Riley's struggle with being immortal. It was nice to see that perspective rather then him being like Leo and Pres, who were pretty onboard with the idea from the beginning. Riley and Laramie are very spicy together too.

I do have one gripe: I get that the vamps are old and it's quite believable that they'll have different speech patterns. BUT... I am having a hard time with how they all speak THE SAME. Do we not change and evolve as time goes by? Augustus is portrayed as being a loner and as someone who doesn't go out much, so his speech was believable, endearing, and is a good character attribute. But now that I've read three books where each vamp speaks the same, I'm starting to find it annoying. And it's also making it difficult to really separate the vamps and have them be their own person in my head. The Laramie I read about it book one is not the Laramie I got in book three. Where did his sense of humor, teasing, and banter go? He can be sensitive to Riley's mood and heart without changing who he really is. I was expecting this book to be filled with banter, snark, and affectionate teasing. But all that was missing. So while I loved that Riley and Laramie got their HEA and I really DO love the book and how sweet and devoted Laramie is with Riley, I am hoping that the remaining books aren't such a carbon copy of book one.

★★★★★ STARS!!
I am absolutely loving this series. Mia Monroe is fucking killin this paranormal venture. The storyline is continuous from book to book and it gets more and more mysterious and entertaining. I'm dying to see how this war plays out and know what the hell is going on. The suspense is killing me, lol.

Besides the story and plot itself, the characters are fucking amazing. Each book features a different couple and this one focuses on Riley and Laramie. Let's just say that these two were totally not what I was expecting. Laramie seemed really high energy and a bit immature in the first two books. So I was def surprised at how freaking smart and romantic he is. And Riley......what the what!! Sweet, responsible, quiet Riley is hot AF! Someone is a freak in the sheets and I am here for it ;)

I literally love everything about this book. It's so well written. Perfectly balanced between the war going on and the romance brewing between Riley and Laramie. I also love how their relationship wasn't rushed. They really got to know each other and both characters had great growth.

This book had me completely consumed. It was captivating, enthralling and thrilling from beginning to end. Riley and Laramie are sweet, romantic, funny and steamy. I love these two. I seriously need the next book STAT! lol.

Wow!! I can definitely say I didn't see any of it coming. Reading this book was like watching a movie. I am in love with Laramie and Riley ❤️. Laramie is the sweetest Vampire in the series (according to me 😉). And Riley is a slightly prickly witch, who has every reason to be gaurded and worrying about accepting his full power and letting himself fall in Love with Laramie. But Fate knew what they were doing and in the right time they interfair with the mortal world and Riley finally accept his fate and his mate ❤️😀.I love them together and together they were sizzling hot 🥵🔥.
Riley was guarded but he was quite the strongest and level-headed when it comes to the war. When he accepted his powers completely Achlys has no other option than run 😉😁.
Ok I will not give any other spoilers but I will definitely say this is the best book of the series so far 🤩. I started to like Tempest, the Demon , I hope he will remain on our side. I'm looking forward to the book 4, I want to know if Achlys is gonna step up to his game or if we are going to get an upper hand in the war. I'm also looking forward to the next couple, I've no idea Who is gonna be the next Fated Mate ❤️‍🔥.
Overall the book was awesome and I can't wait for the next installment 🔜.

I continue to enjoy the overall storyline of these books, though the inconsistencies in timelines and history bother me. For example, Riley runs into the ghost of Pericles, who is wearing a toga from Ancient Greek times and says his master brought him to the new world. The ancient Greeks never came to North America, so why is this in here?

Also, we’ve learned Laramie is only 500 years old, but when he brings Riley to his secret library, he tells Riley he’s visited many civilizations on the brink of collapse and captured their most important artifacts. It makes it sound like he’s lived a couple thousand years like Augustus.

Several times in the first three books, characters talk about doing something in the late 1800s and then say they’ve done something for hundreds of years after that. Assuming the books are set in contemporary time, it hasn’t been hundreds of years since the late 1800s.

Those things bug me, but are worth overlooking for the overall war storyline. On the plus side, the author’s writing style is smooth and flows well, and the plot and adventure is fun. I’m not a soulmates romance reader, so the romance enjoyment for me in these books isn’t high, but I enjoy the stories and the characters’ interactions with each other, and so I’m perfectly happy to read the soulmates romance.

Also, Tempest has become my favorite character in the series so far, and I’d love to see a spin off book about him.

So, overall, a fun read.

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I enjoyed this book and thought that it was another good addition to the Covens of Eaton Falls Series. Even though each book in the series features a new set of fated mates, you definitely need to read each book as the conflict continues throughout the whole series. Riley is very prickly and very standoffish so it took me awhile to warm up to him. I could understand why he was scared to let anyone new in, especially love. I absolutely adored Laramie from the get go as he’s an absolute sweetheart. I also really enjoyed seeing Laramie slowly breakdown Riley’s walls.

Laramie is perfect for Riley, even though it takes Riley awhile to realise that there’s more to the vampire than meets the eye. Riley definitely received quite a few revelations about himself during this book and I loved that he had Laramie to lean on. I thought that they were great together and their chemistry was off the charts. All I can say is Laramie’s hidden library was awesome. Riley now has an even closer relationship with the spirit world due to his hybrid nature. The scene at the club where they all ate Callisto’s magic laced brownies was eye opening. I’m looking forward to reading the next book. It’s Callisto & Pietro’s book next. I’d recommend this book, series and author to others.

This series keeps getting faster paced and more exciting!
This is the story of Laramie, the beautiful and laid back vampire, and Riley, the prickly aloof witch. There is also a ton going on with the demon war, witches and vampires Eaton Falls.
Laramie has wanted Riley since they first met, but he knows Riley is not ready. He accepts the offer to live with Riley and protect him while the demon attacks rage on. He’s messy, eats too many sweets, and watches tv in his boxers…so maybe that part isn’t so bad!
Riley has been content working at his historic library and spending time with his coven. He’s had a lot of loss in his life, and though he’s lonely, he doesn’t want to take another shot at love.
Then Riley makes a discovery about himself that he never saw coming, and it throws his life into upheaval. Add in a demon chasing him, a coven to protect, and a heavy decision to make, and Riley is at a loss.
But Laramie is determined to support and protect him, no matter what the cost.
This was a really exciting continuation of this series. All of our favorite vampires and witches are back, with some fantastic new additions!
The romance between Laramie and Riley is very sweet and super sexy!

This is the third book in Mia’s eton fall’s series. I love this world that Mia has created. Each book in the series so far has had me captivated. I really like that the storyline is continuing from book to book. Each book focuses on a different couple.
After Augustus pairs the vampires and witches together, Laramie and Riley find themselves living together. I really liked Riley and enjoyed following his journey as he finds new things out about himself one of which is that he is a hybrid. Riley really struggles to come to terms with what that means for him. To follow his destiny Riley has to make a huge change. Throughout all this the very sweet Laramie cares for Riley, loves him from a distance and supports him every step of the way. When Riley finally accepts who Laramie is to him, Laramie loves him with every bone in his body and it is beautiful. I really love Laramie and Riley as a couple, fate definitely knew what she was doing pairing these two together.
I can’t wait to see what happens next with the war and the beautiful one. The more I read the more I hope luck/fate is on the witches side. I’m looking forward to finding out more about this group of witches and vamps but I really hope willem gets his own book soon as I am so intrigued by him.

After just reading another vampire series that is a bit more gory and dark it was good to come back to Eaton Falls and visit with Laramie and Riley for their HEA. I am really liking how Fate and destiny are stepping up and bringing the witches and vampires back together. Granted, it shouldn’t have to include a war but love tested is love made stronger.

I love how Riley just doesn’t automatically fall for Laramie no matter how sweet he is and even though he is pressured to take certain steps, he still figures out who he is and what he wants. They are so sweet together and I love how old fashion Laramie is in his speech and I adore love of history.

The ongoing mystery of what/who Achlys is and why exactly he wants the chosen ones for all this power is definitely getting good and definitely keeps the intrigue alive. The powers that Riley received certainly are handy but I wish he could have saved Michael. I really wanted him to be in a triad with Prince and whichever vampire he ends up with.

Overall, amazing series so far. I am obviously loving it and I can’t wait to see which witch ends up with which vampire next!!

How precious is Laramie? EXTREMELY freakin precious! He is a master wooer in my books.
Riley wants absolutely nothing to do with this precious bean who stays up all night eating sweets and leaving a mess behind him. He is super snarky toward Laramie but he just lets it slide understanding Riley has been through a lot and has such a huge life changing event that he can't avoid coming.
I adored these guys together from the start even if I myself was getting annoyed at Riley's behaviour toward Laramie. The relationship that these two develop is so precious. Riley has a lot from his past he learns about, a lot about to happen in his future and no time to really process and deal with it but Laramie and the rest of the coven/clans are as supportive as they can. I loved this book so much, it had lots of twists and turns and things are sliding into place perfectly for the whole plot since the first two books. And we finally learn what the ridges mean lolol we get to meet some new characters, we get some laughs and tears, some drama between other witches and the vampires that were assigned too... I'm so excited for the fourth book.

This is another great addition to the series. It is best enjoyed if you have read the other books in the series first since those characters are integral to the plot of this book. Riley, a librarian who is a witch that can see and talk to spirits, is living with Laramie, a enthusiastic vampire, who is protecting him from the demons. Laramie has been attracted to Riley from the start but Riley is slow to thaw towards Laramie. However, as they continue living together Riley sees a different side of Laramie. Riley is devastated to learn that he is a hybrid like Leo and that to attain his full powers that he must become immortal. He wavers over finally becoming immortal but when he and Laramie are kidnapped by demons he finally has Laramie transition him. They find out that the "beautiful one" wants to rule earth and is going to use the blood of the hybrids to open a spell in the grimoire to do so. He soon finds that all of his powers are amplified and the group of witches and demons finally meet the third hybrid from New Orleans. Riley and Laramie are really sweet together, and it is great to see Riley finally realizes how wonderful Laramie is.

Mia Monroe does it again and knocks it out of the park with this one!! I am utterly OBSESSED with this series! She sure know how to write an amazing paranormal story!!! Her vampires make me swoon! This is Riley and Laramie’s story and I have been waiting oh so patiently to get my hands on this book!!! Laramie is just the sweetest most fun and energetic vampire and he was so very patient with Riley. Riley had his guard up the whole time and it took quite a while for Laramie to break down those walls but he was able to finally and they are just the sweetest couple ever! These boys have captured my heart ❤️ The war continues throughout this book right after where book number 2 stops. I love that this series has one overall background story with a different love story in the front in each book. It is so much fun to fall in love with these swoon vampires and amazing witches!

I received a copy of this book from the author, and this is my honest review.

POV: 1st Person Dual POV

Standalone or series: Book 3 in the Covens of Eaton Falls series

Would I recommend it: 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ highly recommend!! 🤩

Would I read it again: Most definitely!

Who knew that vampires and witches worked so well together. I’ve always been curious about Riley and here we get to know him. He’s always been so guarded and it was nice to see behind the walls.

Laramie was such a great match for him. With Laramie’s puppy dog energy, it was just the thing needed to bring Riley out of his shell. I thought Laramie and his Twinkie addiction was so endearing. He was so sweet with Riley. Always attending to his needs and checking to make sure he was okay. They had some definite chemistry in the bedroom, but I appreciated that their relationship wasn’t based on the physical all the time. I really liked these two together.

I am also absolutely loving the overall story arc. The war is coming for the witches and the plot continues to thicken. Monroe really does create a beautiful world that is lush and full of possibilities. We are meeting more characters and falling in love all over again with old ones. I can’t wait to see how the rest of the story plays out.
