5 Star review of My Favorite Night (Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers #0.5) by Claudia Burgoa
This is the prequel to the Paradise Bay Billionaire series and all it did was wet my appetite and had me wanting more immediately.
I was beyond excited when I heard that Claudia Burgoa had a new series releasing. She writes such emotional, heart warming stories with characters that are engaging and whose story you cannot help but be drawn to.
We are back in Baker’s Creek with mention of the Aldridge family we came to love and of course another branch of the Spearman family.
This book was fun and did what it set out to do, intrigued me about the upcoming series.
This was a great little taste to get us ready for the upcoming Paradise Bay Series and I for one cannot wait to read it. This little bit is definitely going to whet your whistle so grab your free copy today!
It's only one night. A new series. Spearmans, Baker’s Creek, the Aldridges, family and the crazy they drive you, friends and the crazy they drive you, making new friends...
A taste of what’s to come in the new Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers Series by Claudia Burgoa and for me this prequel did exactly what it was meant to do by leaving me excited and wanting more. Once again we are back in the wonderful town of Bakers Creek mixing up the families of the Spearman’s and the Aldridge’s and that was always going to be fun, exciting and just a little bit crazy. There isn’t really anything more to say apart from please one click this gem and get an insight into what’s to come in this new series. I for one can’t wait to see where Ms Burgoa takes us when she adds the new characters to the old characters I have come to love.
Rhys has been told to stay away from men her whole life so she focused on school. When she gets invited out with friends, she meets Caspian. Caspian is helping his family with the business before he goes back to doing his dream. He’s just trying to make time go by fast until he meets Rhys. Can this simple meeting change both their lives? Is Caspian different from all the guys she’s been warned about?
Ohhhh what a quick and tantalizing tease to the Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers Series. This novella focuses on Caspian and Rys and based upon the sexy and intriguing taste that Claudia Burgoa provides, I’m highly anticipating the continuation of this couple’s story.
A titillating little read and fab introduction to the Spearmans of Paradise Bay!
"My favorite night might become the best memory of my life."
Rys is on a weekend getaway with her bestie before starting a new job. Caspian is back home during his off-season and helping out at the family vineyard. It's attraction at first sight and they only get one night.
"I could do this forever. Worshiping you."
This novella was a fab who's who of the Spearman family and a great appetiser before the main series. Rys and Caspian were a sexy couple with fantastic chemistry. I loved their fleeting interlude. Can't wait to get stuck into the first full novel of this series, Faking the Game.
Omg this book might be a short story but it certainly pack's a punch and I couldn't put it down as it kept my attention throughout and I can't wait to read the next book in this series. Claudia Burgoa is an amazing author and writer and I definitely recommend you read this book and you will not be disappointed.
Where's the rest of the story? It stopped what seemed like mid thought. I was disappointed in the language, the sex scenes, fragmented character thoughts/lines... Just, yeah, the whole shooting match! I don't recommend.
"My Favorite Night" by Claudia Burgoa is a short, free prequel to her upcoming series, the Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers. It's a spinoff of the earlier Spearman Family series, but you don't need to read that series to understand this one.
Professional hockey player Caspian Spearman is one of eight kids whose family owns a winery in Paradise Bay, California. He's helping out there in the off-season while waiting to find out both his and the team's fate. His team, the Vancouver Orcas, was recently purchased by a new owner, Mills Aldridge, and Caspian is waiting to find out if the team will be moved or he will be traded.
Caspian is in the tasting room one day when he meets veterinarian Rys, who is celebrating the end of her internship and new job with Leyla Aldridge in Baker's Creek with a girls' weekend in wine country. Caspian is immediately drawn to Rys and hatches a scheme so that they can spend some time alone together.
This story doesn't end in an HEA (or even an HFN, really), but it's not a cliffhanger, either. It was a short but intriguing introduction to the series and some of its characters with a nice amount of steam. I look forward to learning more about this branch of the Spearman family, and hopefully, given their mutual connection to the Aldridge family, this isn't the last Caspian and Rys will see of each other.
Before she starts her new job Rys wants to spend a girl’s weekend with her friend Avery. Just drinking wine and enjoying the country. But at her last stop her friend abandons her and she meets a handsome stranger.
I’m glad this story only had 50 pages because in my opinion it was a huge waste of time. The entire story felt completely out of context. Who are the characters and what’s going on in their life? Avery seems to be the worst friend of all times. She is on a girl trip and then just leaves her friend alone in the winery for a guy? Who does that? The friend in question Rys seems to be the flattest main character I’ve ever met. Besides her working a lot for her dream I have no clue who she is. And then she and Caspian have one night together and the story ends. Feels like there is a lot missing. This short story promised to be the one that will make me want to read the other eight stories of the Paradise Bay Billionaire series. Honestly after reading this I do not have the slightest interest to do so.
If you want a random story without context about an ONS and that’s it, go for it. Otherwise I can’t recommend this or rate it any higher than 1 star.
What a great introduction to the Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers. We get a sneak peak at Caspian and the whole Spearman family. Caspian and his siblings all dealt with the sudden death of their father in very different ways. But they all banded together, helping each other and their mother who was devastated, making their family stronger. Caspian shared the love of hockey with his father and is now a professional hockey player. He is home in the off season helping with the family vineyard. Rys is a veterinarian who is too busy to date. She is looking forward to spending time with her bestfriend in wine country. When her girl's weekend is crashed by an acquaintance, Rys feels like a third wheel, that is until she meets the sexy man serving wine. Caspian and Rys have fiery attraction and sizzling chemistry from the start. They can't get enough of each other. But they know they won't see each other after one night, but they didn't expect how much it would change them. This steamy romance was so much fun, I can't wait to find out more about Caspian and Rys, and the rest of the Spearman family. This small taste of Burgoa's new series only makes me hunger for more!
I love that Ms. Burgoa's characters are interconnected in some way. This is the Paradise Bay, Baker's Creek, Aldridges all coming together. It's a girl's weekend, a last hurrah before starting her new job. So when Rys meets Cass Spearman at his family's winery, she decides to give in to the attraction for just one night. This is a teaser for the upcoming series, and if this is anything to go by, it is going to be a great series. Very excited.
What a lovely begining of a love story, when you finish you want to read more about them! It's a very short introduction to what is coming with the Paradise Bay family. I loved this story, as always Claudia writes to keep you hooked to the book. The only problem i see with short stories is that I always have the feeling it's going too fast and that I would love more details or make it slower in order to read more about them, but of course, that would make it a full book 😜
My Favorite Night gives us a glimpse into the lives of Caspian Spearman and Polaris (Rys) and their first meeting. The attraction between these two was HOT HOT HOT and I'm so excited to read their story in the next Paradise Billionaire Brothers book! It can't come soon enough! FIVE STEAMY STARS!
Great little teaser (think its a teaser, hoping their full story comes out) for Rys and Caspian’s story. Rys meets Caspian at his family’s vineyard. He’s there on the off season helping out. Rys is at the vineyard with a friend, she goes into the tasting room and doesn’t recognise him, so he doesn’t tell her he’s a famous hockey player. They hit it off and have an awesome night together.

This was just way to big of a tease! Not only do we get to meet Caspian Spearman and Rys Vega but we also get a hint at, what I believe will be, a future couple. Grrr. Like all of Ms. Burgoa's male characters we get an over demanding alpha. Not that I don't mind them. Oh no, I truly enjoy them. But this tease left me craving more of that alpha, more of their journey to that desired HEA. I enjoyed what I read and cannot wait for this new set of characters to come to life.
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review*
A series that begins with a bang. It's a short novella that left me wanting for more of the Spearman family. Especially Cas and Rys... The end almost feels like a cliffhanger.
I cannot wait to read about all of the Spearman siblings and Paradise Bay.
I did enjoy reading this book, I was so dissapointed in the ending but of course life is not allways a true HEA. Such chemistry between then one can only y hope for another story
