I found the beginning to be weird. And it's insta-lust. But the FMC takes her time to know the MMC; before she jumps his bones, I'll give her that. I felt that she was a bit too calm for someone who finds herself among aliens who look like snakes.

"I was a thirsty female, and he was a tall glass for me to drink from."

The dialogues were completely flat, repetitive, and absolutely painful to read. Who talks like that? I felt like I was witnessing machines talk.

"You two are consenting adults, and what happens between you two, especially behind closed doors, shouldn’t matter."

The number of times this line was repeated by different characters in one scene alone! God, this book tested my patience. Yup, we heard you when you mentioned this the first time. What are you trying to convey by rephrasing it?

And nope I seriously didn't care about the characters. They were as flat as paper. There was NOTHING exciting in this book. I kept expecting something would happen... like the FMC would trip and fall to her death. No, I'm just kidding. But some fights or kidnappings would occur—anything action-worthy? Spoiler alert: Nothing interesting happened; FMC just met her future mother-in-law, and that's it.

What I liked was the plot of the dating games. I would have preferred if it had been explored. I feel that the author saw that the number of pages was enough and ended it at that. And who approved this? I don't know who her editor is, but that person has to be fired.

Crashing Landing

Reva is a human female who thought aliens, Nagas, and such were the stuff of stories; that was until her escape pod that she shared with 2 of her closest friends crash landed on a new planet.

Sisqo is a Naga prince in charge of his own kingdom that is neighboring his brother and uncle's kingdoms all under the rule of his mother. Finding a human female crashing down into his private garden destroying it wasn't on his agenda; he already had too much on his plate, and his counsel was insisting he find a bride to strengthen the kingdom. This human was the perfect candidate for that 😏

Sisqo (Who is already planning on keeping this strange beautiful creature as his mate no matter what) proposes a mating of convenience to Reva to make up for the damages her pod caused; or she and her friends can go to the Sanctuary (which to me sounds almost like a prison). Resigning herself to the fact she may never end up going home and struggling with the strange pull she feels towards him, she agrees to his proposal.

Together, they have to fumble their way through a courtship, the planning of a Harvest Festival to bring more species to the kingdom, and work through the differences between their two species to find their happy ending.

This was a quick and interesting read; I haven't read many Naga books, so this was a nice change to the Monsters I have been reading. I enjoyed the plot and the world building. I'd definitely read another book set on the same planet in the same kingdom; I'd like to see more of these characters and how their romance grows over time. I'm always a sucker for a marriage/mating of convenience that ends with them falling in love. I loved the dedication at the beginning, I've been watching their videos as well and enjoy learning more about snakes.

A few things I didn't like that had me taking away a star and rating it 4 instead of 5:

- There were a few parts when Reva and Sisqo were talking that it felt like they just didn't have any chemistry.
- The first "I Love You" came waaaay too early, in my opinion. It wasn't insta-love and she was so hesitant about him that when she said "I love you" it didn't feel right.
- We didn't get to see any of the Harvest Festival 🥺 All the talk about it and the mating games, and we didn't get to read about any of the actual Festivities. Maybe in the next book...?

Things I did enjoy:

- The Spice was 🥵 and those tail play scenes were fantastic 👏🏻
- The banter between Reva and the female nagas. I loved seeing the females interact and how quickly they became friends. There wasn't any of that fake behind your back frenemy BS. They all seemed to genuinely like each other. Girls supporting girls.
- The world and plot building
- The side characters; I'd love another book with them in it. And to see both of her friends find their mates.

Thank you to the author and her team for the chance to ARC read this.

Convenient crashing lol

Reva was a party planner that had helped her friend plan her wedding. Being that it was part of the first human expedition into space it was a huge event. And then just as suddenly as it star, it ended. Sirens, escape pods, crashes into various planets and moons.
Sisqo was a prince trying to relax. His kingdom is small but in a state of flux. Females flock to larger kingdoms for safety and mates. With the population already imbalanced he can't afford to lose any more. And then an escape pod crashes into his private garden and pond. But what's inside is a treasure: his mate.

Spoilers ahead.
Sisqo is instantly captivated by Reva's unusual coloring and ideas. He does everything he can to woo her without being domineering. He proposes an arrangement and she agrees. She could have chosen to go to the sanctuary, she was never pressured. He's gruff but sweet. She's learning a new culture, be a helpful potential mate as well as keep her small group of humans together. It's interesting and sweet, and big on consent.

I really, really want to like these books. But the language usage is so bad, the dialogue is so disproportionate to the action and the plot is both incredibly fast and extremely slow at the same time. Which makes for incredibly frustrating reads. I mean, the title should be enough of an indicator, if you cringed at that typo and hesitated reading because of it--you're right.

I really like the idea, the kernel of this series is great. However, the execution needs language and pacing revision...then a rewrite.

DNF 29% I could not get past the book repeating over the same thing within the same chapter. Took me 4 days to get to 29%. The base story is good maybe a re-edit with less repeating and more substance and I could read it.

The other pod that launches from the attacked human ship lands in Prince Naga's area.
Sisqo is facing problems in his den.
As an unmarried naga prince, many of the females end up leaving for another den because they believe their leader is unable to provide for the group.
Some mated females advise Sisqo that a festival be held to attract other naga, to see the advantages of staying in that den.
Heading to his pool to relax, Sisqo almost gets hit by the pod that lands on the spot. When they open it, they discover 3 human females.

Reva was one of the bridesmaids in the wedding party. Sisqo is absolutely enchanted by her, and decides that she will be taken care of by the healer inside the Princess's chambers.

She finds herself in a situation similar to Naomi (previous book), in which the possibility of returning to Earth is almost impossible, or living in an unknown Sanctuary without knowing if she will be treated well.
On the other hand, with a rich prince promising to cover her in gold and take care of her, it makes Reva's decision not too difficult to make.

When she is brought before the Queen, the Great Serpent, Reva is very scared.
Sisqo had already asked Reva for some time to convince her that he would be a worthy mate, and would take care of her. To that end he bit the side of her neck to let other males know she was being courted.
Reva gets involved in the preparation of the Festival, and starts to trust Sisqo, becoming his mate, in fact.

It disgusted me too much that he said that he wanted her body as payment for the damages caused by the crashed escape pod... But he only wanted her to pay and not the other two woman that crashed with her. I am sure he would have redeemed himself somehow and it would look more like a romance, but man that was too much for me.
The FMC put it really well and then she was thinking things like: I am so thankful, he is such a handsome male, immediately after and while she was contemplating if he drugged her drink. Like whaaat.

“What kind of offer will benefit me when the alternative is working to pay for damages over which I have no control?” I spit out, irritated that he thought he was doing me a favor by letting me offer myself as payment for an accident. “I shouldn’t be here at all. Humans didn’t even believe aliens like you existed outside our entertainment for fuck’s sake. “And now you’re saying I’ll be punished for mistakes made by my government, despite the fact that you’re a leader yourself and should be aware of the problems your citizens face. Have you even informed your galactic government about our crash landing? Has Earth been contacted?”

Cinnamon Roll Naga Prince Romance

Entangled to the Naga was unexpected to me in various ways. The first one was Sisqo. He may look like a fearsome, possessive a hole, but in reality he turned out to be a possessive cinnamon roll, lol.

The plot was also more easy going than I expected, focusing on Sisqo and Reva's relationship and how those around them view it. Meaning their obstacles didn't came from external evil forces but from the consequences of two different species trying to love each other.

That being said, I enjoyed the book from start to finish and only took me two nights to read. There were some moments where I laughed out loud, other were characters annoyed me, and various awws. The only thing that threw me off while reading were some dialogues that seemed a bit repetitive, especially the one between Sisqo and his mom. I don't know if they were intended to show the characters stubbornness or if they are simple slips in the book. This is the reason behind the minus 0.5 stars.

fast read

Just… wow… we go from the first chapter of setting down that women have rights. That they get to choose what they want and who they choose to be mates with then wham… an escape pod crashes and the prince instantly claims the woman, telling her to forget her old life, that she is his and she has no choice, he is demanding her body as payment for property destruction as the pod crashed, that she has zero rights, and I’m sitting here going wow, that flipped fast and not in a insta love close proximity trope kind of way.

Overall whiplash is all I can really say as you go through the story. Fast paced. Light story with no end of the world plot going on. Honestly the last of this series I will be reading due to lack of interest and constant disappointment with each book following the first.

I was so excited to read a new book featuring a naga hero, especially since I am finding that these types of monsters are fast becoming a favorite of mine! Jade Waltz wrote a really good story here.

Sweet, fast paced romance that had some wooing which was really cute and charming. The environment and world were vivid and unique while the hero was a definite sexy as sin naga prince and our heroine was bold, respectful and really fascinating. I liked Reva's personality and liked Sisqo's charms. The story itself was adorable and I am really looking forward to seeing Reva's friends stories. I am so glad I read this book and can't wait for more!

Entangled To The Naga gets a FOUR TOO CUTE FOR WORDS STARS! A worthy naga romance!

Repetitive and Incomplete

Around the 50% mark with this book, I noticed a drastic change in communication style. The couple began speaking formally to one another the more they got to know each other. Shouldn’t this be the other way around? The communication at the beginning of the book was very laid back and easy to understand. But once you get halfway through, it all becomes so confusing and hard to read. Repeated sentence on the same exact page! An argument that I still can’t figure out how it happened. Also, the entire book was about planning the Harvest Festival and yet we saw not one aspect of it in the book.

A ok read not much of a story line, Naga meets human female and instantly falls in love with her. Beginning to wonder why do all the human females in these stories always have blue eyes and blonde hair?? And why are the naga always royalty? Can I read about one that does not wear a crown? There was much to read about a festival for male Naga to meet a mate but the festival didn't happen and the book ended. Not a bad read but I have read better Naga stories.

If you like your books sweet and spicy with a MMC that scares you physically but that still turns you on....well this is for you!

Sometimes I need a feel good book where nothing really tears the two main love interests apart and they connected and bonded really quickly. It's a quick read with good spice, some good world building, scary albeit adorable naga MMC and strong and diligent FMC. Probably 3.7 if not 4 on the spicy scale of 5 chilies. Highly recommend to all my other monster lovers out there.

A review will be coming soonish for this as there is a lot to unpack.

Ratings:

Book Rating: ⭐Possibly even .1 of a star if that was even possible.
Smut Rating: 🌶️🌶️Like 2 1/2 chilli peppers.
Character Development: 🥺Even a half a cute face.
Plot: 🍄 There wasn't much plot.
Romance: 🩷🩷🩷Only because Sisqo's and Reva's romance topped it all I suppose.

It is safe to say that I hated this book. Hate is a strong word, but I use it for this book wholeheartedly. :)

I didn't like the heroine. The first she sleeps next to the hero (just sleep) she wakes up and says his rattle on his tail is like a huge sex toy. Then they start fooling around right after she told him the night before she wanted to go slow.

Wow, Wow, WOW! Entangled to the Naga is one hot, steamy novel. Sisqo is a giant red snake man. Reva is the human event planner whose pod crashes in Sisqo’s garden. Off the charts chemistry!

So far I am throughly enjoying this author. This one did not quite hit the mark. I would have liked to see the harvest festival. It was such a huge part of the book, it seemed odd to see none of it.

This was a short story (didn't notice when borrowed) characters seemed either really stressed and angry or oddly formal. Over all a weird read and I didn't enjoy it.

I love Nagas. I find it interesting how each author interprets and makes their own history for them and it becomes a new journey in the mythology with writing. Jade writes a compelling and fun story and I can’t wait to read more!

This was a dull instalove story without conflict or character growth. The dialogue was clunky and flat, the heroine one dimensional, and some of the side characters - her two friends, in particular - were annoying.

Okay

There really isn't much to this story. No major conflict, no real problems. Just a nice story about nice people falling in love. A little clunky - wow do these characters like to monologue. And the marble (stone) stained glass pitcher struck me as odd.

I liked the first 2 books in this series. But this one is just bad. I couldn't make myself finish it. The dialog is very formal and pompous. It is like a different person wrote this book. After 2 chapters neither main character had a personality. Just blah.

The story was good but feels unfinished. Plus there was a lot of repetition in the story and what the characters said to each other than was unnecessary.
