Season 1 End @ Chp 42
Uwaaa~~ I didn't think this would be so good!
Yeah it's totally following the current reincarnation/isekai trend and yes, the blurb totally made it sound like a knock off but I had a lot of fun reading this. I definitely want more chapters! :D

Es lindo de leer, al principio un poco doloroso por el hecho de lo que tiene que pasar la protagonista en su primer vida.
Luego de la muerte tan terrible y lo que la llevo a ella; ser traicionada por sus dos personas más amadas fue un golpe muy duro y que en su segunda vida ella no volverá a sentir.
Parte de su nuevo curso de acción es casarse con otra persona y esa persona ... Uff es precioso.
Cuento este "tomo" o temporada hasta el capítulo 42.

I enjoyed it and it was cute but it started turning into one of those the ML spoils the FL because of her past stories. Which morning wrong with that...but it wasn’t really developed and dame out of nowhere 😅

This is everything an isekai/second chance back in time romance manhwa should be... The art is beautiful, the worldbuilding is hihg fantasy pokemon-esque and the characters feel more than just a shell of an archetype.

Tipikal cerita regresi. Ada yang regresi karena mendapat hukuman mati, ada yang mati dibunuh pembunuh bayaran, dan untuk kasus Ivona, mati karena luka-luka akibat ritual sihir. Ivona yang memuja Gasphal, melakukan ritual berbahaya yang berakibat tubuhnya terluka. Tidak hanya itu, Ivona menderita rasa sakit berkepanjangan. Rasa sakit itulah yang akhirnya membunuhnya.
Aku tadinya tidak tertarik dengan ceritanya, namun chapter pertama berhasil membuatku terkejut. Biasanya saingan tokoh utama dalam hal asmara adalah perempuan. Tapi di Istri Palsu Duke/The Soulless Duchess, saingan Ivona adalah laki-laki. Ini pertama kalinya aku melihat ada author manhwa yang menyelipkan hubungan sesama jenis dalam cerita. Seingatku, hubungan sesama jenis juga masih ditentang di Korea Selatan. Aku jadi tertarik dan penasaran mengapa Gasphal bisa menjadi seorang gay.
Hal lainnya yang membuatku semakin tertarik adalah karakter sang tokoh utama, Ivona Bott. Dia dengan percaya diri melamar Claude Agentine dan membuktikan kemampuannya dengan membantu Claude saat terjadi keributan di tengah festival. Ucapan Ivona saat itu meluluhkan hati Claude. Biasanya orang akan meminta tolong padanya karena Claude merupakan pemegang pedang suci. Namun Ivona berbeda. Dia malah meminta Claude untuk bersandar padanya jika sewaktu-waktu Claude butuh pertolongan. Adegan ini membuktikan Ivona bukanlah wanita yang lemah. Sihir pemanggilannya sangat kuat, setara dengan kemampuan Claude.
Hubungan mereka pun tidak hanya dipenuhi hal-hal romantis. Mereka bekerja sama menyelidiki kasus pelelangan ilegal, pembunuhan klan Tiggre hingga menjelajahi runtuhan kerajaan sihir kuno. Ivona juga tidak hanya sekedar melakukan pernikahan kontrak, tapi juga menyusun rencana demi mencegah kebangkitan raja iblis.
Semakin lama, plotnya semakin menarik, terutama setelah kasus pelelangan ilegal. Meski hubungan Claude dan Ivona diawali dengan kontrak, aku suka chemistry mereka. Apalagi saat mereka bertarung. Ivona sangat keren di adegan pertarungan ini. Dia tidak berteriak memanggil Claude untuk membantunya. Dia menggunakan sihir pemanggilannya dan mengalahkan musuh.
Art style dari The Soulless Duchess juga menarik. Biasanya ilustrator manhwa menggunakan style baru setelah menyelesaikan satu season. The Soulless Duchess berbeda. Art style nya dari chapter 1 hingga chapter 42 berkembang sangat pesat. Desain karakternya pun berubah di pertengahan cerita. Terutama pada bagian mata Ivona dan gaya rambut Claude. Tampaknya Jin Sae Ha, ilustrator The Soulless Duchess, sedang bereksperimen dengan volume. Aku menduga begitu karena rambut Claude lebih tebal dari saat pertama kali dia muncul.
Premis dan tema yang digunakan The Soulless Duchess tidak jauh berbeda dari manhwa bertema regresi lainnya, namun karakter Ivona Bott dan plot ceritanya yang berfokus pada pertarungan melawan iblis menjadikan The Soulless Duchess sebagai manhwa yang wajib dibaca para penggemar cerita regresi.

I think this is one of the best manhwa couple ever<3
The relationship is not toxic nor purely out of greed. And while they did mary to benefit one another even in the start they were loyal to each other.
I also enjoy how she uses her knowledge about the future to change it. A lot of manhwa characters who travel back in time don't use enough of their knowledge but in this case, it's different. The ML also doesn't act like an asshole and tries to justify it with his past. Instead, he uses his past to be a better person.
The story is interesting with them implementing many different kinds of magic. And also adds enough mystery to who the antagonist is but also gives us clues. We already know the two antagonists who betrayed the FL but we don't know the Antagonist who appears in a hooded cloak which makes us readers more interested.
Overall I'm gonna read season 2 and I hope this story doesn't disappoint me!

A sad victim of boy using her for personal fame and power. She quickly finds a way to be more independent while protecting herself. She gains an ally and the product of their contract is better than she expected... lavished and appreciated as a real true wife is more than she could hope for.
What's interesting is that this is the first time we see the male lead also remembering his past self or rather he catches glimpses of who she was after the experiment turned her into a husk. It's a beautiful story of endurance and ambition.

I like the dark fantasy established in volume one. We have a tragic couple who are trying to learn their own worth while stopping the end of the world. It's a good premise. Mystery boxes and layers of villains are set up for the readers to open as the pages continue. Meanwhile there are a lot of dramatic characters with petty goals, arrogant opinions, and selfish wants to layer in chaos, conflict, and soap opera antics. It has a blunt presentation style which can be off putting but I hope that is a debut problem.

DNF chapitre 82
Depuis hier, je fais le tri dans la liste que j’ai fait pour répertorier tout les manhwa/manhua que j’ai lu.
Celui ci, je me souviens d’avoir apprécié les 60 premiers chapitres puis, plus j’avançais dans l’histoire moins je l’aimait, je me forçais à continuer mais honnêtement, là j’ai pas envie de gâcher mon temps à lire quelque chose qui ne m’intéresse plus.
Donc, je préfère abandonner ma lecture.

I forgot when I read this...maybe 2 weeks ago? Sigh, the female lead is so pitiful...being used and her cousin is having an affair with her fiancé. Worse, the cousin is a guy. Fooling her for her magical powers, she finally died. BUT smth happened(I forgot what that was) and she was alive again. Will she take her revenge? Or will she live her life?

Review for overall series !!
I've been absolutely binging revenge type romance manhwas. I don't care much for historical romance, but I really enjoyed this one. I thought the plot was interesting, the reveals were grand, and the romance was real endearing.
However. That abrupt ending is a crime. I was so obsessed with the cute summons, I honestly wish it never ended.

the love story is way too slow. or maybe it just not my type because i stopped reading this after a few chapters.
