I landed on Brexos with fire in my heart and vengeance running through my veins.
On that strange planet, I met its unofficial ruler—an alien who infuriated and captivated me in equal measure.
Autocrat. Dictator. Control freak. Malakaz.
We agreed to ignore this thing between us. Agreed to dismiss our chemistry and focus on all of the reasons we despise each other instead.
But then I was taken. And for the first time in his life, Malakaz defied logic, ignored common sense, and came after me himself.
I have to escape before Malakaz falls into their trap. And before the Grivath king goes through on his sick threats. Because he won’t kill me slowly. No, if I can’t get out of here my death will be broadcast across this galaxy and used to dissuade anyone fighting back against the Grivath.
I’d never let Malakaz know it, but some days, the sound of his low voice in my ear is the only thing keeping me going.
Because that future he talks about? I can almost imagine it. Can almost imagine being happy. With him.
Hope Hart has always told stories, and eventually, the characters in her head wouldn't leave her alone until she wrote them down.
She loves strong, kickass heroines and hot, brooding alpha males. Hope believes that everyone deserves a happy ending, although the best happy endings are fought for.
5 Fabulous 🌟s for the final book in the Society of savages 🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖
I loved every minute of this book and this series ! Malakaz is the oldest brother who has suffered much at the base of the Gravith. They killed his parents and forced him to separate his brothers for their own safety. He's spent many year reuniting his family and he didn't count on the feisty human women who came in and changed his world and the world of his brothers forever. One woman in particular Aria a firey red head that challenges his very move and thought. He's fought hard to keep his feelings in check but then she's taken by his greatest enemy and all bets are off he will do anything and everything to save the woman he loves. Aria young passionate and full of fire. At first she hated Malakaz both their personalities clashed over and over again. Slowly she begins to realize as he is so much more than he allows anyone to see. It's not that he doesn't feel anything it's that he feels everything too deeply, but controls ruthlessly. While on a mission she is betrayed and while trying to escape her pod is taken by the Gravith. She knows deep in her heart that Malakaz would be coming for her. This is such a fantastic adventure! Lots of action , great chemistry between the characters and just fabulous storytelling. Highly recommend and I hope it's not the last we 've seen of this universe. Their were some fantastic Dragon characters introduced in this book When I hoping we'll get to see more. Please! Loved it !💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥🔥🔥💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖🔥💖💖💖🔥
I have really enjoyed reading, from start to finish, these three interconnected series, staring with the Arcav Invasion of Earth, then to the Warriors of Agron, finally to the Thesian Warriors. I loved the underlying, interconnected storyline, and the way previous characters made appearances throughout other stories. The only minor gripe is that there are typo errors throughout the three series that should have been picked up and corrected.
Well, Hope has truly hit a home run with Malakaz…. I really enjoyed this whole series. I waited so long to read Malakaz and Arias book. They’re so pigheaded and meant for one another. Hopes world building has simply been phenomenal from the get go. Since the very first book in the series. From the very beginning it has been truly awesome with only a minor bump in the road at least from my perspective. But she’s done such a great job with these 3 series and linking them together and bringing us such fabulous stories from three different worlds and three different perspectives but with a common enemy in mind was sheer brilliance. Hope has a very good way with words and she’s created loveable and memorable characters that I know for a fact that her fans have grown to love. I can’t wait to see what’s next on the horizon for her. She’s done such great works and had a fantastic collaboration not long ago. I’d love to see plenty more from her in the near future. This grumpy bear 🐻 gave this book 5 radiant stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 and 5 cosmic stars 💥💥💥💥💥 for this whole magnificent series. What are you waiting for??!! Grab the Arcav series if you’ve never read these books and start from the beginning! You won’t be sorry!
I received this book as an ARC from the publisher for my unbiased and honest review
Loved it. Malakaz is exactly the type of man I hate and love the most. Aria is an icon, I love how she's a true fighter and he loves her for it. They are a match made in heaven. Best book in this series in my opinion.

I absolutely love this book. I was looking for this book and I’m so happy it was better than I expected. It had everything I hope and more. Aria and Malala’s were absolutely perfect. Head and heart strong, intelligent and devoted to those thy love. It was the perfect conclusion to the series. But I want more, I’m hoping there is a distant cousin out there that Hope Hart can write about lol
I was a little let down by the this final book, sadly!
I feel like we had been hearing about Malakaz for so long that I thought it would be the best one. But I felt like, because of Aria’s kidnapping, there wasn’t enough time with them together. Maybe we could’ve had a flashback with them in the past, because for me, the buildup wasn’t really there just from the snippets we’d seen previously.
It was nice to see Malakaz fighting with his brothers at the end. It was another instance where I thought we’d see more talking, but I was satisfied that they’re on their way to making up.
The last battle was good. For having worked up to it for years and years, I thought it would be longer, but there was a good amount of action for Aria.
Overall, I think their relationship could’ve gone deeper, but they were cute together and it was nice to see a happy ending for everyone.
Anywho! I loved Malakaz. Been waiting for his book since book one. Sadly this book was mostly meh for me. I didn't enjoy Aria much. She was just too stubborn and argumentative when she shouldn't have been. There's a time and place for it and I didn't find it cute or that it added to their sexual tension any for much of the book. She was annoying tbh.
I didn't hate her but I also wasn't really into her getting her HEA, ya know? 🤷🏻♀️
Written in first person, Malakaz is book 5 of the Society of Savages series. It follows the Thesian alien Malakaz, a species that is damn near extinction, and his human mate Aria. Aria was part of a human group that escaped their kidnappers (Grivath) after being abducted from Earth. It appears that most aliens despise the Grivath, who were also responsible for the decimation of the Thesians. The group of humans swore to seek vengeance by tracking down those who abducted them. The ship they stole ran out of fuel near the planet Brexos, the city of Teevor, which was unofficially ran by Malakaz. In exchange for helping them get revenge, the women agreed to work for Malakaz doing odd jobs. In book 1, Makayla (a security specialist) broke Malakaz’s brother Jax out of prison, where they happened to find another brother Draz imprisoned, who was instantly fixated on Blaire when they busted him out. In book 2, Harper (a professional thief) was tasked with working with Bavix (also a professional thief and another brother of Malakaz) to first steal a location from a scientist, then the powerful artifact that the location led to. Book 3 brought Emma (a cop) and Callux (a space pirate and brother of Malakaz) together. Their task was to intercept a kidnapping of a 9 year old princess and keep her safe. The mated pair wound up adopting that princess to raise along with one on the way in Emma’s belly. Book 4 finally brought together Draz and Blaire. After being rescued from the prison in book 1, Draz was nonverbal with PTSD and Blaire was the only one who could get through to him. During their journey to Zecax, Aria was abducted by the Grivath, which is where this final book in the series picks up. Malakaz was the oldest of 5 brothers. As a result of the war with the Grivath, his parents were killed while Malakaz escaped with his brothers as children. Instead of loading all 5 brothers together in the same escape pod, he separated them, for the best chance of survival. He went to the original destination himself to give his brothers a chance to escape and survive, and his pod was blown from the sky. He barely survived, being nurtured back to health by his savior. He was in stasis for 2 years, then spent another several years learning to walk, then fight since he was paralyzed. He was bitter, thinking his brothers were dead when they never we went looking for him, but determined to reunite them and seek vengeance on the Grivath regardless. One by one, he found and reunited his brothers, who hated Malakaz for separating and abandoning them. Aria was an ex figure skater with too much fire. Malakaz has been in love with Aria since the two first met, but he refused to show his weakness for her. Unfortunately, he wasn’t careful enough because his enemies found out and caught her, weakening his alliances. Malakaz lost his shit when Aria was taken, and moved up his plans for revenge alongside searching the galaxy for her. He rescued Aria and battled against the enemy, killing their king, becoming mates along the way.
I was hooked on this series. Enough so, that I will undoubtedly go back and read the author’s prior work. I like that it was written in first person perspective, and it had just the right balance of romance and adventure. The book wasn’t too long or too short, it was just right with a happily ever after. 🫶🏻 A recommended read.
I love this whole “universe” of characters that Ms. Hart has created, beginning with the Arcav. This is the final book in the Society of Savages series, and what a great ride it has been. The series opened with a group of women leaving Agron (Warriors of Agron series) to get revenge on the evil Grivath that stole them from their homes, and to hopefully find a way back to earth. Of course, each of these women find love and adventure with their mates.
Malakaz is the local “mafia” type boss who runs the criminal underworld on several planets. The real purpose of all his machinations is to find and reunite the brothers he lost when his family was decimated by the Grivath; and also to get revenge for what his family and others like his have been through. Malakaz is the quintessential older brother that was tasked to care for his brothers by his parents who died fighting to give them a chance to escape.
Malakaz is *chef’s kiss* perfect. Strong, silent and possessive af. But that’s exactly how I like my MMC. We knew he had a thing for Aria from the first book, but their story is finally here. You don’t have to be a psychologist to understand Malakaz’s moods and ways about him. But inside is a heart of gold and he melted mine over and over again. As for our heroine, Aria, she is exactly the type of woman he needs. He would be bored in 2 minutes with a more demure mate. They are well matched.
All in all, this was a very enjoyable series and some characters from the initial series, Arcav Alien Invasion made appearances. I especially love the female lead characters that Ms Hart creates, as they are strong without devolving into simple bitchiness. The camaraderie and repartee between Aria and Eve (from the Arcav series) is simply masterful. And I sincerely hope that a series about the dragons is coming next, because Kaysun really peaked my interest.
Let me start by saying that I really liked all the previous 4 books of this series. Hope Hart is an accomplished writer that truly knows her craft. Each book has a fierce, kick-ass and smart FMC and a yummy, strong and all alpha-male H. I was really looking forward to this last book of the series and for me it was a bit of a let down. The female character Aria, was not very likable as the other female characters from previous books, and her behavior gave me a whiplash. One minute she is acting all fierce and strong and the next she is having a melt down. I get that she is suffering from trauma due to events that happened, but it was a bit disconcerting that she went back and forth throughout the whole book the same way. Also, this was the last battle and even though it brought back many characters from other books, it was just not that exciting of an ending. I would recommend all of Hope Hart’s previous books, but not particularly this book.
A great conclusion to a great series. The author does a fabulous job of pulling all the story lines together including the Arcav and dragons. There is one loose string which could turn into more books in this universe which would be awesome.
The relationship between the two main characters is stressful (for me) but well written. He's unbelievably controlling and she is stubborn and reckless but they work it out with much bickering and humor.
Best line that covers the whole series, “You either listen when fate taps on your shoulder, or you drop to your knees when it punches you in the face”. Wise words for real life too.
Best image for the series is the MFC flying on a dragon swinging a sword - you'll know the scene when you get there.
I am so sad to see this series end, but this is the book that we have all been waiting for. Malakaz keeps his emotions close to his chest, not even letting his brothers know his close guarded secrets. When Malakaz manipulates the human women into working for him, he doesn't realise the consequence of his actions. Aria is feisty and challenges him every chance she gets. Their banter and chemistry is what makes this such an emotional epic read. When he embarks on a sole quest to rescue her from his sworn enemy the Grivath, he finds that his battle to win is not just on him. His brother's finally know the truth. United they stand to finally defeat the Grivath King and all he stands for!.

OMG ! This was so freaking good, I cried, I laughed oh my this was good. The whole series was so good. Five brothers separated by an evil alien race that wanted to take over the whole universe. Malakaz did the best he knew how to save his brothers. They resented him until they found out the truth. Each human women were kickbut Bada_ _ who did not take crap from anyone especially Aria. I loved the way Hope Hart added the Arcavians and the Dragons and others in this last book of the series. This was really good. I am sad to see it end 😞 but I loved the happy ending, GREAT FREAKING READ!!!
Absolutely devoured it. Perfect ending to the series. You don't get to read too much abou Aria and Malakaz in the books leading up. I'm glad we only got to see the villain side of Malakaz up til now cuz it made the revealing parts so much more worth waiting for. I'm so glad Aria was written as a surviving take no bs from anyone warrior. Made the power struggle so much sweeter to read. Best one yet. Can't wait for next series.
What an exciting and stunning finish! This series that actually started with the Arcav was an adventure! I loved every book! Yet, somehow this book was able to shine above them all! We finally come to understand Malakaz's backstory that explained so much of what set the stage of the final battle with the Grivath king. We saw all the brothers come together and work together Wow! Aria was the absolute perfect match for Malakaz. I can't say enough about this fantastic book and series!
This was one of the best books ending a series I have ever read. Heart pounding drama, action and the fight scenes were great. Malakaz, and Aria were made for each other. Bringing in the Arcav and the Dragons was perfect. Truly her best series to date. Highly highly recommend . you will notbe disappointed.
I love Hopes books, this series did not dissapoint. If you are new to this author then start with the acrav series and go from there. Now I'm waiting on the dragons books because I want to see how that all concludes too. So Hope let's talk about bree......
Hope Hart does it again. Another great read but sad that it is the conclusion of this series. Read this book in one go, the push and pull and the chemistry between the two main characters was captivating.
Malakaz is an excellent excellent read! The book is edge of your seat exciting; the chemistry between Aria and Malakaz is off the charts; the action is thrilling….need I carry on. Read Malakaz!!!!!
I've read all the books and each one was great. I can't wait to read the next one about the girl (can't tenner her name) recover from the poisonous flower and fall in love with her Dragon
Wow, loved Malakaz!Since the first book in this serie he went from dominant, cold to someone who feels to much, damaged from losing his parents and his brothers.Fierce Aria captured his heart and their story you can't miss.My highest praise for Hope Hart!
It's been a whirlwind, but Malakaz was worth the wait! This book jumped into action and immediately I knew we were finally going to see Malakaz snap and make Aria his. And boy did he! Malakaz weakness? Aria could never! She proves time and again she wont be the silent one...no matter how much he ask to curb the sass! Lol. This was an amazing series and I loved seeing some of my favorites drop in for a visit. Burn down the world✔️,save the girl✔️ and make me laugh while doing it✔️. Hope Hart as usual doesn't miss with this one. Definitely a must read!!
Aria is kidnapped by the horrible Grivax and is her own worst enemy. Malakaz goes off the rails and attempts a solo rescue. So much conflict and torture!
I can't believe it's over. The storyline was excellent. Rounding up the characters was great. But I know there has to be more . A couple of storylines left open.
