I must have read it at least a dozen times as a child - call me a total nerd but today I can recall all of the details of this story. The book has two sides and was written like a diary - one side told from Alex's point of view, then you flip the book around and can read the other side told by Gaby. Then you put the pieces together and solve the mysteries - it was such a fun read!

I need to remind myself that these books just aren't good, and to stop getting random nostalgic feelings to track one down!

These stories just don't convert well to book form at all.
